ep 7 was certainly Something, that's for sure
#like. i dunno. feels like they tried to make adachi into a character much more like akechi and i just don't really *like* that?#the take that adachi is jealous of souji bc he was accepted as a dojima while adachi wasn't (except he was#and adachi was the one who pushed them away) is very compelling. but also a bit strange?#bc like. it makes adachi even more childish? like he's jealous of a teenager.#i think maybe i'd be more willing to buy into this if it was better written. as it is its so freaking rushed and ham fisted that it just#feels fucking strange. like what even was that bit with ameno-sagiri? souji summoning magatsu izenagi to free adachi#and then hold adachi's unconscious body in a bridal carry just has REALLY weird undertones#it honestly feels like something that would be way more fitting with akeshu? idk if that makes sense#i think that moment is when the ep finally completely lost me though. like what the fuck did i just watch#I DUNNO these are just half thought out ramblings i will have to think abt this a lot more but whatever that was. not a fan tbh#sera watches p4ga

These kids have a very high opinion of canvassing for information, which as far as data collection goes is about on par with opening a random manhole and inspecting the walls for the scrawlings of subterranean prophets. But we do what we must to hit story flags.
People are completely cracking up about the fog. Which, in a world that has now experienced COVID is dryly humorous. Yeah, Junes and CVS are working with Verizon to beam the virus into us via the 5G towers, uh huh.
There's a recurring thing with Chie that's very amusing, that she keeps accidentally saying the quiet part out loud, like the writers are trying to keep a lot of these elements subtextual and inferred but just in case, they also have Chie say things outright.
Also, I hate to swerve into more Thoughts On Yosuke again but it's really interesting how much he respects Naoto. I think.... [stand by, checking my mental footage] Yeah, Yosuke encourages Kanji to flirt with her and tries to wingman for them
(which, if both Naoto and Kanji are queer and Yosuke isn't, the dynamic is so funny to me) (i don't think yosuke is cishet but ask me about that later)
by Yosuke is pretty adamant about not... aiming his Horny Comphet Bullshit in his direction? I think Yosuke called Naoto cute once in passing and otherwise defers to him in moments like this for guidance and intelligence and actionable insight. I'm not going to go so far to say that Yosuke sees Naoto most as their nebulous non-girl gender...... uh
except. Shit. I think I am saying that. Oh my god. Yes, from what I have seen in P4G as of 12/06, Yosuke respects Naoto's gender the most.
At some point i need someone to ask me about Yosuke Hanamura because I could be here all fucking day analyzing this dude. He's not by any means my favorite character in P4G but.... I think he might be the most interesting one. In that way, he's like Yukari, a character that sometimes makes me uncomfortable or annoyed but has the most depth and most shit going on.
ANYWAY. Yosuke respects Naoto more than I do frankly because sometimes Naoto makes me go "DUDE WHAT."
Yosuke, Naoto, and Reverie go outside and I get to pick the killer and this wasn't even a question to me.
BUT THEN, SOMETHING INTRIGUING HAPPENS.
OOH LA LA
NOTE TO SELF: SAVE SLOT 1, DON'T OVERWRITE.
Should I explore that before or after getting a standard ending? I am so tempted to just go and do it immediately, but I dunno if I should save it as a little treat later.
ANYWAY yes obviously it's Adachi. I know it, you know it, but what has killed me is the Why/How of it.
................... holy shit i fucking remember that. oh my god. i feel like Yukiko just shoved a key into my brain and unlocked something, YEAH IT WAS MENTIONED LIKE FUCKING ONCE THAT YAMANO WAS STAYING AT THE AMAGI INN AND THERE WAS POLICE PRESENCE, oh my god.
Saki is easy, she was questioned about the body, that could have easily been Adachi (I think Adachi mentions idly in a cutscene with just him and Dojima that Saki didn't know much, establishing that they probably talked)
I always thought there was nothing behind those eyes. Now we know it's not that. He's just put up mirrors in there. Goddamn fucking bitch in sheep's clothing.
if adachi has ever given even 30% to anything in his life, I'll be stunned. There is some level of swanning gracefully and heedlessly through life to him. He's one of those guys that you can blindfold him and ask him to walk through a minefield and he'll be fine. His SPECIAL stats favor Luck.
Which is the build I also tend to go for but we ain't talkin' about that today!
Anyway, you get the options to ask him about Yamano ("idk i don't remember it's all hazy lmao") and Saki ("uhhh yeah she saw a dead body, so we questioned her") and then the warning letters
Kanji, I need you to do me a favor, big guy. I need you to sprint directly to the Yasoinaba PD, punch whoever you need to get through, and find that fucking letter STAT. Like, seriously, anyone you want, punch 'em.
whoopsie-daisy!
Naoto I hope you have a LIST
/sucks on teeth
Man. I missed that one. I caught the moment when Adachi lied about the Namatame-Saki thing but not that. They're right, they literally weren't attempted murders, they were short-term missing persons cases. goddammit.
Okay Naoto I'll give you that one.
Adachi bolts, and he's gone.
SLAMS FISTS ON TABLE
WHY DO ADACHI, REVERIE, AND NAMATAME HAVE THIS POWER? Does Adachi have a fucking persona? Where did this ability come from! At the start it was like Reverie was a patient zero giving other people their persona, but turns out people just HAVE this power!
Boy but it sure is Interesting that the game implies there's an ending where you, what, you don't turn Adachi in? Where you help him? Reverie and Adachi are inversions of each other in a lot of ways. The magic trick moment really seeds the idea and it's a fucking compelling concept.
'Cause... how to explain. Like, the MC of the game seems...
I just played P3P, right? I can tell you things about FeMC, like concrete stuff. She's bubbly and a little manic and is fast the become chummy with people, she's got a very sharp sense of humor, she doesn't mind looking like an idiot for a joke, and she is Weird. Everyone finds her just a little weird. She's like if the popular girl in your school also collected skulls and did taxidermy. It's nothing bad but everyone knows she's Odd.
In P4G, the MC is a blank to me. There are some fun Chaos Options in the game but otherwise there is a deficit to personality to most of the possible responses, and it seems like Reverie's dominant character trait is "really calm." Which works really well for a person who is supposed to be the "Wild Card" character, who can stand in for anything and anyone.
Adachi, as the Jester, feels like an interesting inversion of that. He's good at everything he does, he's self-professed to be very smart and did really well in school (even if he resented it) but rather than acting like a skeleton key to the people around him, he's... the lock. He's this void of connection. Boundless potential and nothing for it to catch on.
My friend Tree nudged me earlier today about if I figured out who else JYB voices in the game, and I was like "oh yeah, the MC. I dunno if that's relevant?" Because it could have been as simple as resource conservation-- why hire another VA when you can have one of them do some voice lines for a mostly-unvoiced MC? But now, okay, I see it. Why it might be significant.
GAH I'M BABBLING! WHO CARES, TEDDIE'S IN THE NEXT BIT AND THAT'S WAY MORE IMPORTANT. BRB.

How can people say Haru's forgiven Goro when she verbally says ''I have no intention of forgiving you''. It really boggles my mind. And you get treated like some conspiracy theorist if you try to explain that scene to Goro apologists. I really don't get the fandom sometimes.
Yeah I don’t understand some stans. It’s totally possible to be pissed at two people at once, Goro pulled the trigger so she doesn’t like him. Shido ordered Goro to pull the trigger, so she doesn’t like that guy either. Maybe she dislikes Shido more, but that doesn’t downplay her dislike towards Goro into becoming “like.”
Haru fighting or offering to fight alongside Goro isn’t “forgiving him,” it’s “the enemy of my enemy is my ‘friend’” kinda thing (aka, we both have a common goal, and while we might not agree on everything or even like each other, it’s best we take down our shared enemy). As of P5, Haru does not forgive Goro, and that’s fine. It makes sense, Haru isn’t the bad guy if she dislikes Goro, Goro did the bad thing not Haru. It should be fine if Haru finds closure in not forgiving Goro (while I think it’s a fine message, I dislike that it feels like in media, you HAVE to forgive the person who did you wrong to move on…..you don’t and that’s cool! Bojack Horseman, and the last season of OITNB with Maria and Gloria are the only ones I feel like did this and did it pretty well…..you could argue Jessica Jones too I guess but it’s a bit more messy. And I kinda am fine if Haru never forgives Goro, it’s probably better for both their sakes).
P5R? Who knows, maybe she does, maybe she doesn’t. Her fighting along side him DOESN’T MEAN SHE FORGIVES HIM! It means that they are a reluctant team that need to fight for a common goal, it doesn’t mean there’s any forgiveness there. Hell, maybe NO ONE forgives Goro on the PT, but they still work together for the common goal.
Off the cuff, 2 am, sleep deprived rant about redemption arcs below:
IT didn’t forgive Adachi for what he did, but they sure as shit didn’t reject his help in Ultimax when shit hit the fan. But no one in the P4/Adachi fandom talk about how “he’s forgiven!” (I mean it’s def part of Adachi’s redemption arc tho). But Adachi’s redemption arc, and redemption arcs all together, their end goal isn’t always (and probably shouldn’t be) “To be forgiven by the people they perpetrated,” because it feels……icky? “Oh they said they forgive me so now I’m a good person because I got them to forgive me” feels…..wrong….. (It’s kinda what happens in Maria/Gloria’s confrontation scene, one was like “I’m trying to be a good person and change you should forgive me” and the other person was like “No, I don’t have to, you screwed me bad, you aren’t going to guilt me into forgiving you” basically). A redemption arc should be “I’m changing because I feel like I SHOULD become a better person, and it’s ok if the people I hurt don’t forgive me, maybe I don’t even forgive me either, but it keeps me from doing that ever again, and I should strive to continue being a good person and owning/making up for all the wrongs I’ve written because that’s the right thing I should do. I can start paying my debt back to society, maybe I’ll never pay it off, but that’s ok because this is what I feel like is the right thing to do.” Adachi isn’t the best person in the world (he’s a pretty bad guy, and is framed and treated like one), he’s still at the beginning stages of his redemption tbh too, but he chose to help a dumb tomato boi when he needed him and he saved the world of his own accord, to put his own life on the line to do all of that because he knew it was the right thing to do and in a way helps pay back his debt to society just a little (not all of it, but it’s a starting point). Steve from Stranger Things realizes his horrible behavior and proceeds to change it, and keep changing it for the better (like he gets better and better each season guys ;w;). Zuko from AtLA is similar as well (albeit slower and more internal conflict), slowly becoming a better person and trying to pay back what he did. Rurouni Kenshin is all about Kenshin trying to make up for everything he did during the war. Those characters, their redemption arcs are making up for their crimes/”crimes” (”” for Zuko/Steve I guess?), maybe they get forgiveness maybe they don’t. They become better people and are able to help payback what they had done before (Steve protects Nacy/Johnathan/Kids/Robin and puts his life on the line for them countless times, Kenshin doesn’t kill and tries to help MANY people, Zuko eventually trains and helps the Avatar and helps bring about world peace).
The thing about Goro is he didn’t get his redemption arc. Which sucks, but we can’t go around acting like it DID happen when it didn’t. I know some people view what happened to Goro as “you can’t help people who don’t want help” message, and I’d agree…….if it was actually written well (never even crossed my mind Atlus might’ve been doing that tbh, probably cause it feels like they are too busy trying to make Goro sympathetic instead of writing his character). It’s also funny considering Sho rejected help from IT/SOs harder, faster, stronger, and they still had “TAKE OUR FRIENDSHIP” shoved up his ass and down his throat so hard until he could FEEL the support and bond instilled in him (IN A GOD DAMN NIGHT NO LESS). I mean Ultimax did not do Sho justice either, but it’s odd Atlus would be trying to trying to go that route, esp when we’ve had worse cases, and P5′s dialogue feels on the contrary (in the end we kinda DID get through to Goro with him sacrificing himself to help us, which is why it feels a bit to the contrary, because it’s not so much “he wouldn’t accept help” but “it was too late for help in this case”).
Goro dying to protect the team isn’t redemption, I know the trope “redemption in death” but let’s be honest….all this shit happened so fast, even the CAST FORGOT about him. THEY FORGOT! How is that redemption???? P5R is most likely going to give us a Goro redemption, or at least a START to his redemption arc. And I’m really hoping it’s just a start, why? Adachi is still in police custody (apparently I don’t think he’s even been sentenced from what P5′s tv broadcast tells us) AFTER FOUR YEARS! FOUR! Four years for two murders, instigating a string of kidnapping cases and instigating a copycat murder (dunno if he can be charged for it, specifically the copycat stuff, but we all know all of that was totally his fault) that happened in ONE YEAR. One! Year! What about Goro? HE HAD THREE YEARS OF SHIT HE DID! THREE! Three years of, at the very least, psychotic breakdowns, with a decent number of mental shutdowns, plenty of lethal and non lethal casualties (we had 80 injuries in one day for one incident, JUST ONE INCIDENT). If Goro gets off easy, easier than Adachi, has his redemption arc cut short so we can just “forgive him!!! :((((” that is a disservice to his character, and to the other characters/people that he hurt. Yes Shido is a big part of why Goro did what he did (even if we argue why Goro listened to Shido, regardless he listened to Shido, their dynamic is a rant for another day), but that doesn’t diminish what either did, both should have to repay their debt to society.
/end rant (sorry gotta a little off topic there.... just…ksfjl;sajfkla I want an actual redemption, if we’re getting one it better be an ACTUAL one than just “oh look he’s sorry, they forgive him, nothing else he needs to do! :)” kinda bs, his fans deserve a good redemption arc).

#18 - possession
from goretober 2020 prompts characters included: Lot Adachi & Cam Pyun warnings: body sharing / possession, body dysphoria, occult shit, implied child abuse, implied child death / grief, mild mention of cannibalism 1050 words
Sharing a body felt strange, but Cam couldn’t say he didn’t feel somewhat more comfortable hovering off to the side of his own. Not having to control it, feel it, perceive it because Lot was doing the walking, Lot was doing the feeling, Lot moved the muscles, and he could ignore it all in a way that was hard otherwise. “Did you know about the graveyard?” he asks breezily.
“Yeah, duh. I won’t say I know everything about the house, but I know more than you and they’ve figured out just yet.”
“So, is part of this an excuse to find it?”
For once, Lot remains silent on that, and Cam chuckles. “There shouldn’t have even been an outside there. Or… the outside there shouldn’t have looked like that.”
“Yeah, that’s another outside.”
“Write that down in my notebook.”
“Yeah, no.”
“Then give me -” and he reaches out, Lot easily lets go of his arms for Cam to use, pulling out his notebook and scribbling something down. It probably looked messy, Lot kept control of his head, neck, and eyes which wandered the walls and didn’t look down. He kept the legs too, and Cam wasn’t used to the cocky way Lot bounced the body just yet - too used to shuffling, trying to be as quiet as possible. “What do you think is at the center?”
“I know what’s at the center. It’s a tree.”
“How do you know if you’ve never been there.”
“The house told me. She’s a tree, mostly wood, right? Any ghosts who settles here, that’s pretty much the first thing they find out. She’s pretty open about it.”
“What -?”
“Listen, time and space is some weird shit, and somehow there’s a tree that was cut down and it’s wood was used to make this house, and somehow the house found a way to bypass, you know, normal human dimensions. Normal ghost dimensions too. That graveyard used to be in that spot, you and the twins dig over there on your side, I’m sure you’ll find a couple bones. The room the twins keep ending up in? The bathroom with that porcelain bath all filled with blood? And it, like, sounds like there’s a heart beating in there? That was Aiko’s favorite memory here. She ate some dude’s heart in that bathroom.” Lot laughs at the thought. “So fucking weird.”
“Mhm -” Cam doesn’t comment any further on it. He feels like to laugh about how ridiculous that place sounded would be to insult this Aiko. To question further would mean getting details he didn’t really care to know or record. Gardenia and Yarrow could have the weird occult murder shit, it seemed to be something they were into. Cam was interested in something else. The end, this tree at the center of it all. They wander down a dark corridor, decorated with peeling wallpaper and decorative trim. Behind a door, he hears someone wailing.
“So the deeper I get, the more likely a malevolent spirit would try to possess me?”
“Or a desperate one. Or one who hasn’t accepted they’re dead. Or a just-plain-sad one. They’re not always trying to do bad shit, they just don’t remember what being human’s like anymore. Sometimes they think they do, and that makes it worse.”
“Has any human ever gotten this far ever?”
“Yeah.”
“And?”
“All dead. Or, something.”
“Something?”
“Something like ‘puppet of ghost’.” He pauses, looking up at the door. “You scared?”
“No.”
“I can feel you lying.”
“It’s only half a lie,” he hesitates, they’ve stopped at the door. “Should we kno- ?”
But Lot has already taken his hands and pushed through the door, hands waving. “Hey-y, we’re a little los -”
They’re met with another wail, shadows of stuffed animals and broken toys screaming, spreading over the room, leaving behind a liquid on the walls thick as blood - though it’s so dark it’s nearly black. “Cliché,” Lot mumbles. When he reaches to touch the liquid, it snaps at them, burns Cam’s wrist so they fall backwards. Cam hears himself groan. “So cliché. Kat plays scarier shit than this.” The shadows surge then, trying to twist around their very souls as if trying to displace him and Lot completely.
They scramble back, stand up. Lot grabs a hairbrush from a vanity in the room, holding it out like a sword. They feel oddly calm, with Cam’s acceptance and Lot’s carefree attitude. Still, Cam has to ask, “hey, will you being in here mean they can’t get in?”
Lot laughs, and Cam is surprised when the noise comes from his own mouth. He’s never laughed that way before, and the sound and feel are foreign. “Oh, fuck no. I can get shoved out if someone tries hard enough, or we just straight up get jumped by more than one spirit - like these guys. I’ve got a pretty strong presence, if I do say so myself, but nobody’s perfect. You scared now?”
A little. His skin feels like it’s being peeling off, and it’s not a very comfortable feeling. Certainly uncanny, certainly unnerving, but -
but he realizes in a second that they’re trying to be gentle about it. Like children shaking your pantleg for a piece of candy. Like they’re asking, though they’re not quite sure how to be polite just yet. They’re hollow voices, all echoing each other like they’re running around an empty theatre.
(if you don’t want it, then please, i never even had a chance to live, stuck here stuck here locked here we were all locked here trapped here trapped here please, please, carry us too, i want to see the outside, i want to see the sun, i want to see the ocean, i want -)
Cam freezes their body still. Yeah, he gets that. Being trapped by someone who dressed you like a doll. It makes him stop. Makes him think. “If we get displaced here, and they take my body, will we still make it to the center?”
“Dunno. Depends on how easy you stick to a room.” Lot twirls the hairbrush in their hand, and then allows Cam to take back control.
He takes a deep breath.
“If I promise to come back for you,” he’s not talking to Lot anymore. “If I promise, will you let us go for now?”

oh! I'm surprised (mainly 'cause Yusuke and Futaba are two of my favs) but ye a post explaining it would be nice. Could it be under a read more if that's alright though?
(Sorry for taking so long had to rewrite 2 of them ;w;)
*inhales* Ok, Ipromised myself I wouldn’t say anything unless someone asked me. So here we go.;w; Don’t worry I was gonna put it under a cut anyways. XD Beware, it’s gonnaget a bit negative and there will be endgame spoilers so yeah. 8U (alluding to this post btw) (note: I rewrote this and the endgame spoilers are only in the Goro section, the rest are about beginning tomidgame spoilers and I tried to keep the vague)
(also you don’t have to agree with me, and I’m not being negative just to be negative, someone asked my opinion and I’m just being truthful. So please don’t send hate)
Ok so like…..it’s not that I hate thesecharacters (hopefully I won’t, but I can’t fully say till the english version),but…..I actually just don’t care about them…. I’m very, VERY apathetic tothem. But I should note that out of all my least favs Yusuke and Futabalook like they could possibly go up when the english version is released (stillwill be ranked under Haru but better than where they are now). I feel like someof these might be because of the fandom or because I really am not happy withhow the game is paced/how it flows….. Also it took so long cause I had torewrite Makoto’s and Goro’s cause it go too heated and negative (probably cause I’ve been bottling this up for months) sooooolkdasnfafnlak;ndfk;a I’mm keep it short and simple
Yusuke: I dunno…..maybe itwas when he was first announced people compared him to Jun. I dunno if it’scause I don’t like Jun or that I don’t like how it felt like they weren’tletting him stand by himself as his own character…. So maybe it’s that Idon’t like his design? (I really do think they should’ve went with thebrowner-haired and long haired version we see in his concept art.) Maybe it’scause I didn’t trust him? Judging by the concept art (when it was more roughsof him) he seemed a bit shady…..maybe he was originally going to be thetraitor? Maybe it’s just that I don’t like how the fandom views him… Maybeit’s all these things…I can admit I didn’t like him when he was firstannounced. When I got the game tho? I did like his arc, not as much as thefirst arc (no really that arc really leaves an impression) but it was a goodfollow up and is like maybe my 2nd fav in the game (and cause of hisarc I feel like I do have the potential to like him more). And then…I dunnowhat happened…it’s like he dropped off the face of the earth! When they weretalking in-game during the plot related things after the 2nd dungeonI would catch myself thinking “Oh yeah he exists! I forgot!” I legitforgot this kid existed. I don’t really recall him doing anything worthwhileeither (maybe what he contributed in the discussions was big? I dunno, it feltlike everyone else was talking a lot and contributing and not him as much? thisis something that the english ver will clear up for me tho so my opinion willprobably change, this isn’t a reason why I don’t like him…I just….didn’tnotice). I know what you’re thinking “Well what about his CoOp? How couldyou forget he existed if he had a CoOp!” Well……I… didn’t…..do it….. 8UCause he wasn’t a character I cared about still, and I was focusing on eithermy stats or CoOps that I deemed more important (like best in-game benefits andwho I actually liked) or could do. So yeah…..Though, all this being said, Ireally do like his interactions with Futaba tho, maybe it’s cause he’s probablythe closest in age to her,or maybe it’s cause they’re both odd. I kinda ship them. 8U He’s really theonly one I do ship her with. >.> This is a good segue into…
Futaba: I dunno, she alsorubbed me the wrong way when she was first announced (actually her and Haru andMakoto all did….). I dunno she was very “waifu bait-y” when I first sawher. And…..now…..she still kinda does, but more on the “littlesister-siscon kinda bait.” She really does feel like a little sister toeveryone except Yusuke and Makoto (Makoto is more like her mom tbh). And so herromance really……feels almost like I’m romancing Nanako tbh, and the factyou can view how she falls for you asa way of “tricking her” (not my words, just repeating what I heard someoneelse say), so that doesn’t really sit right with me either….And the fact thatshe’s been listening in on you for months…..is……yeah…… I think weshould’ve had a CoOp with her at thestart of the game that was similar to the Hermit in P3 (it hits a roadblock atsome point of course and opens up again after plot stuff happens), we insteadare her online friend and she gets close to use that way. Maybe she does hackto find out location but she doesn’t….you know….bug our place. I dunno someof the things just doesn’t sit right with me. But her backstory does seeminteresting, so that might have me like her in the englishversion….. “So did you do her CoOp?” Didn’t do anything past rank 1 tbh(ok maybe rank 2 or 3, I had some free time before the game ended)…. Statusreasons was the main reason, but again….like Yusuke….didn’t really care(tho I got farther in Yusukes CoOp I think).
Makoto: Let’s be honest, shedoesn’t even need to be here. She’s only here cause of her sister Sae, and tbhI’d rather have Sae be on the team. We know the MC was originally going to livewith or next to Sae in the early versions, I bet Makoto wasn’t even conceived backthen. It’s only when they moved the MC they decided that Makoto might beneeded, and even then they could’ve gotten around her and still go stuff done.Nothing Makoto does is that important that another character could’ve done. “Butshe found Haru! That’s what the wiki says” (might have changed) No…..She didn’t,Anne found Haru in the book. Makoto just accompanied the MC to confront Haru….whichyou didn’t really need anyone could’ve done that. “Oh but she’s the strategist ofthe group!” So? Tbh why is she the strategist? What gives her the authority to be that? Cause she’s smart? Guess who else issmart? Hifumi. And guess what, she’s more of a strategist than Makoto. The gameshe’s a pro at is more is grounded in strategy. And guess what, she wasoriginally going to be on the team too. It would’ve made more sense to haveHifumi on the team than Makoto.
Tldr; She’s unnecessary/doesn’tneed to be there, her role could be removed completely or just filled by anyoneelse.
Goro: Sigh…..short andsweet….short and sweet. I don’t care about him and his struggles. 1) we don’t see it, it’s only alluded too (P5’sshow don’t just tell thing was so strong with the first two dungeons and Futaba’swas decent too, and Haru’s problems with her fiancé was shown and you felt forher too despite her being thrown in last second). They already did this withSho and Adachi (Adachi was kinda lost in translation, and Sho was just not toldtoo well but still they’re retreading). Like I have to rely on what I saw withthe other kids to feel for Goro instead of Goro himself. And speaking of that2) he has more in common with other characters than the MC (like Yusuke, and/orAnne/Ryuji)…..which really sucks considering he’s supposed to be the duality tothe MC (like Adachi-MC, Sho to Adachi/MC, Ryoji to MC, Takaya to MC ect), yesit’s not uncommon for other teammates to have duality with the antagonist(Adachi-Yosuke/Naoto, heck the Adachi-Yosuke really parallels Goro-Yusuke)….but…..whatabout MC-Goro????? They really don’t have much in compare and contrast going onimo. 3) He doesn’t even feel like one who fulfills a detective role in aPhantom Thief thing (ex Batman to Catwoman, Carmalita Fox to Sly Cooper, ToshioUtsumi to Hitomi and her sisters, Ganimard/Zenigata toLupin/Lupin the 3rd, etc you get the point), if anything Sae is the one who fulfillsthat role more (bonus points she’s pretty much Naoto in this game, who alsofulfills this role). 4) I never felt like the team felt connected to him….likethey knew he was a snitch and they never really treated him well imo, so himbeing like “I’ll help you out and sacrifice myself” doesn’t really make a wholelot of sense. I mean if he had been on your team longer that would’ve made alittle more sense, but they didn’t like him before or after joining the teamtbh…. So why should I feel connected when the rest of the team doesn’t reallyeither (heck the fact you can be so freaking mean to him as the MC AND STILLrank up really doesn’t make sense). :/
Tldr; He’s not reallywell written compared to everyone else (as well as other past antagonists), and he doesn’t make sense.
#persona 5#p5#persona 5 spoilers#p5 spoilers#spoilers#persona 5 endgame spoilers#endgame spoilers#sorry for taking so long ;w;#anon#silly asks#silly answers#I don't think Yusuke and Futaba's are too heated but I had to really re-write goro and makoto and I just kept it really short
