Brittana fics tend to present a version of Santana that is the closest to how she is in canon, and SimpTana makes sense in that particular context. It's admittedly been a while since I've read Quinntana but the fics I've read tended to present a nurturing post-Beth side of Quinn (almost on the border of paternalistic). Honestly Pezberry is the least appealing because I have to suspend my disbelief that Santana would willingly simp over Rachel (sorry).

Each to their own, also that is the point of fanfic I guess to create something new. For me, people wouldn't have to warp canon too much to have Santana love Rachel. I don't think she'd need to be a simp to be true to a canon version of herself and also unabashedly be into Rachel.

Canon Santana already shows an astounding willingness to again and again "go after Rachel" in the sense that she constantly puts herself out there and tries to prove herself as a friend. And like, why would she do that for someone she doesn't genuinely, wholeheartedly like? The intensity of their relationship is just a stone's throw away from romantic, to me, and Santana already seems to want it quite desperately/earnestly. Honestly the biggest suspension of disbelief in Pezberry fics, again for me, tends to be their feelings being evenly matched because I just get this impression most of the time that Santana would be more in it than the other way around. Not to be that Pezberry angst person again but if I were to write a Glee "canon complaint" Pezberry midgame, it'd end with Rachel leaving Santana heartbroken. Not the other way around.

I mean again this is all just my pov but I think, in a way, Santana is already a simp for Rachel in canon just not romantically.

the fact that you made us dont like robbe by writing from sanders pov, and then, big plot twist, robbe was just a confused baby and now we love him. i dont really know but i feel like that is very hard to do,

and now this scenes of sobbe being completly in love with each other without even noticing that the other is just as in love as they are... every scene left me breathless.

and omg "that bitch had the audacity to kiss his sander right in front of his face" that line is iconic if you ask me, it made laugh harder than it should🙃

When I started this fic I actually didn’t plan the whole Jens thing, also speaking from the title, it had different meaning for me before (the plotline was a little bit different) but then I was like “let’s spice it up a bit” so I made Robbe tell Sander that he was in love with Jens, just for more drama tbh and when you all were so mad at Robbe I was like “but - he - he didn’t mean to - he’s just -“ but obviously I couldn’t say anything about it until that chapter with Robbe confessing. I also wanted to touch another topic with the whole fake friendships and stuff and I’m sure unfortunately, a lot of us could relate to Sander at the beginning...

That being said... now things got even messier but hopefully everything will work out in the end.. right?? But we have a long way to go until that moment.

Britt in this story is good, like right now she’s just a normal girlfriend but obviously we’re in Robbe’s pov so we have to hate and dislike her. And Robbe is so sassy and jealous and straightforward about not liking Britt in this story that it’s funny. And I’m so glad you laughed at that... but jokes aside... THE AUDACITY she had to kiss his Sander right there? Like bitch!!! Get off his man...

I hope Sander will realize it soon too...
