Y’know, with how obsessed I was with mermaids as a child, you’d think I’d be all over MerMay every single year, and yet this is my first time drawing mermaids since I was like… 13, and I’m posting it 5 minutes before May ends oops

Procrastination, yay!

Anyway, Kuviren have invaded my head and have been refusing to leave for months so… here’s yet another AU I came up with. Suyin is the owner of the largest merchant ship fleet in the Earth Kingdom, and Kuvira is captain of one of the crews. After docking in a small seaside town, they have a few days before they must set off again and Kuvira decides to spend her free time in solitude, exploring the coast line. During one such trip, she discovers what, or rather, who the dark waters of the ocean are hiding…
