Someone in my neighborhood posting about how they "just rescued a dog but actually they can't afford to buy it diapers all the time does anyone want her :((" and I'm seeing red
#the people in the comments are being way nicer abt it than i would be if i tried to respond#1. you can train a dog. if it's an older dog it may be harder but that's something you take on when rescuing an older animal#2. if it's a medical thing that is once more something you agree to take on with ANY pet#3. and i cannot emphasize this enough: if you couldn't afford to take the animal to the vet you shouldn't have adopted it :)#like you knew going in this dog had medical conditions so as disrespectfully as possible: what! the fuck!#it wasn't like the dog was in a kill shelter either it was passed from another owner#i s2g too many ppl think of dogs as like these cute little toys or ornaments they can have around the house#and won't actually have to take care of#what you need is a plant!!
