I enjoy documentaries I love learning things but god why do they have to be so boring I don't want some guy telling me about Versailles in a monotonous voice that sounds like he does not care about what he's talking about at all. Can't they like...idk. hire museum tour guides for that? Or hire some person that spent ten years studying the history of the absolutist monarchy of Louis XIV and let them do the voiceover I guarantee you you will be more invested in it than with sir "I am reading this because I get paid to" over there that sounds like he could not care less about the french monarchy.

#being taught things jusz gets so much more enjoyable when the one doing the teaching enjoys it as well #like yes tell me about feudalism in the middle ages and how our entire view of history has been warped by a Eurocentric world view #implemented by the officials that were all nationalist assholes #it's such a shame I want to know more about the alchemists of the middle east #but my attention span is already so so bad it's not gonna get better when I get bored because it feels like a mediocre history lesson #put some emotion into that voice make it a little dramatic I am Begging you to not make learning boring #I'd read it in books but thats not fun I wanna be told stuff #i prefer auditory things it leaves me to do other things as well it's more efficient and I grew up always listening to one thing or another #so it's just hardwired into my brain now
