All I’m saying is that if we’re going to uncritically talk about experiments with poor methodologies and meaningless results it shouldn’t always have to be Stanford Prison. I want Rat Park to get that treatment.
#like yes standford prison requires discussion#mostly as an example of shoddy design and lack of ethics#but what if every instance of ‘and this PROVES that DEEP DOWN everyone is EVIL’#was replaced with ‘and this PROVES that COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT prevents addiction ENTIRELY’#like it’s also not true. but it’s a much nicer idea to put out into the world
