Second of all a book and a commission are very different. A book the author wrote of their own volition. Commissions YOU are asking ANOTHER person to write. There's another example for this in ghost writing, ghost writers get payed hundreds to thousands for their work because YOU are ASKING THEM for a SPECIFIC PROMT. You are telling THEM to write for YOU SPECIFICALLY. So yeah, it costs more than a book that the author wrote of their own volition.

Exactly thank you for bringing up ghost writing as that had completely slipped my mind while writing it.

I mostly went with the book comparison in my explanation as well simply because I feel like a lot of people don't understand the difference between how profit works in commissions vs book writing, so I wanted to show that I would not even be making nearly the same amount that someone who wrote a book would. But you're definitely right that commissions and book writing both have vastly different systems, so it's weird to compare the two.

Also, I'm just having fun~ I slapped the first price I thought of onto my fics and people seemed to go with that, so that's what I went with. I'm just chilling out here writing my silly little tk fics and sometimes people give me money for them. We're just vibing out here anon 😎
