#like with parrying it seems like an easy counter to an R1 spammer in PvP

Personally, having sunk a lot of time into invasions and duels in DS3; I think that it is the least necessary of any of the classic Souls-like additions. We kinda had a conversation like this already with Sekiro, to be fair. The things I'm more worried about include the whole "pick from 13 champions" and co-op being emphasized. At best; We get Monster Hunter: Elden Edition! Woo! New movesets, animal companions, fucking amazing line-up of bosses with AI we're already semi-familiar with (NAMELESS KING SHOCKED ME), and a ton of new lore! At worst; Oh, shit... it's just mid. Forced co-op, Reused AI, no intriguing lore, and without good PvP that all can seem very unappealing. I'm personally cautiously optimistic! After all, Dark Souls 2 wasn't overseen completely by Miyazaki, and I still quite like it (in all it's fucky crunchiness glory) Either way, if it's not for you, it's not for you! I hope you still end up being sold on it

Why is Elden Ring not Elden Ring
#elden ring#dark souls#fromsoftware#fromsoft#tbh I don't really care for a tryhard mode where you have to use specific weapons because their movesets blow most choices out of the water#imagine lag being a factor too#like with parrying it seems like an easy counter to an R1 spammer in PvP#LOL#iirc servers are Peer-to-Peer... so#if you want to see invasions having truly played a role in the game you gotta fast travel your ass back to the early games#you can't even Gravelord people anymore smsmh
