#hooo boy there is a fic I am reading that is headed in a very izzy hands redemption way#and like#look I don’t hate that on principle but whyyyy do they always do the thing where Stede decides both Ed and Izzy gave Things to Apologize For#guess it depends on the setup but in this fic ed hasn’t done anything wrong#and I’m not just saying that in a fannish way#like this fic rearranges the end of s1 so he really did not do anything wrong#if you want to redeem izzy you gotta make him actually make amends#which might feel ooc but so is him laughing with the crew and friends with Stede!!#I should probs stop reading tbh it’s just not going to be for me#but man I hate to see an Ed feeling gaslit for not wanting to be buddies with izzy in reunion fics#because all of his theoretical reasons for that would be valid as fuck#anyway had to get this out there somewhere god bless tumblr tags#and if anyone does happen to read these it’s not hohw lol
