Hey! I just watched ep 12 and I am kind of confused, thinking that I might have read this differently or something.. I mean Mac can't have been so cool with Dennis leaving (not that we were able to see much after his decision but still). So I was wondering, which moments are in your opinion the most indicative of Mac's romantic feelings towards Dennis?

Listen pal im. same. i have no answers. 

For the end scene, i mean, Mac is the first one to say anything after he leaves and its ‘i cant believe he’s really gone’ and also its his idea to blow up the range rover (which is a Rly important belonging of dennis’ so) i could definitely read that as him trying to act cool because Mac of all people isn’t gonna get in the way of someone making sure they dont abandon their son? But actually he’s really upset abt it?  idk aldslkfjds

as for specifically romantic moments from mac in this episode??? like literally everything he does while theyre faking being a couple is so heartwrenchingly Pine-y and in love im fuckin. Suffering. im broken. i think at this point its definitely like 1000% canon mac has romantic feelings for dennis like theres no question abt it. 

He was so excited abt raising a kid with him?? and he just like? assumed theyd stay sleeping in the same bed? he put so much work into recreating their apartment exactly as before and wanted it to be another Big Gesture like the rocket launcher? ggodskljskdslj i felt so bad for mac in this ep because hes literally got the LEAST subtle crush on the fucking planet and Dennis went from before when he just lowkey manipulating that to his advantage every once in a while to? straight up directly bein a dick about it?

personally ive gotta try to reconcile dennis’ feelings for mac because thats not been as solidly established as Mac’s side of things but i definitely still think its there and i gotta ??? im still trying to fit that into what we got from this episode and right now i’m going with (theres a post i reblogged that im kinda basing this on but i cant find it now): Dennis in this ep is talking about their relationship completely in the present tense, hes not saying anything that isnt completely accurate with regards to where they stand currently, and he’s not permitting himself to get caught up in the make believe because he’s a) understandably stressed out and focused on the fatherhood issue and b) scared of his relationship with mac changing and not ready to deal with his feelings about him yet, Especially B because hes actually so insistent about them not being in a sexual relationship that its? putting the plan in jeopardy? like he denies every couply thing mac says they do WHILE TRYING TO CONVINCE MANDY THEYRE A COUPLE??? DENNIS??? U R NOT HELPING URSELF??? And theyve pretended to be a couple before and Dennis was pretty solid and convincing then so its obvious something is different this time yk. 

and his reaction to the apartment because im? pretty sure dennis normally would be THRILLED to have it back exactly as it was. but in this instance not only is he trying to distance himself from the dad stuff, he’s also back in the Mac And Dennis Apartment exactly as it was a few years ago as if nothing had changed but, actively pretending to be dating mac and the juxtaposition of the Blast From the Past of the apartment with the radically different relationship context? has gotta be terrifying for dennis tbh? hes trying desperately not to think about his future because either option hes being presented with is a Massive change that he is Not Prepare For
