dumb? story concept: adventurers need to travel from one end of the earth to another to deliver something and when they finally arrived they saw a train pulling up to a station and some randoms popped out with the same thing they need to deliver

#story concept #yes it is the ftl travel and civilization fully grown on a distant planet while the first colonizing ship is still on the way #but like less existential dread and more comical #like they might obviously heard about train rail construction along their journey just didnt know when it be donr #or they just fuck off in the fastest foot path and they built railroads through major hub instead #just so in the end some randoms gon be like where the hell ya guys been this delivery should be here yesterday #and the travelling group is obviously holding a still dripping decapitated head and other shenanigans #and other proof of friends are the treasures along the way bs #and they just look at each other #and the smartass one be like told ya this could have waited #but wait theres more #the other would be like yeah thats caused your rich ass country has good construction sector #mine been building their first railway for decades and its still nowhere donr #and just shook their head and clicked their tongue in agreement #corruption
