I think I'm gonna start saying my interpretation of all "robots with feelings" media from now on is "The Hollywood upper-crust are trying to make us, the proletariat, more empathetic to machines as a means of making automation a smoother process by producing stories about how we, the proletariat, are guilty for robots' oppression."

Not because it's true or anything, just cuz I think it's funny.

#rae rants #also. tbh. i think that era of media is over. like how zombies were big in the early-mid 2010's. robots were big in the mid-late 2010's.#like theres not much more you can say from an empathetic viewpoint. i wanna see a hostile viewpoint.#one where the robots dont have feelings and are actively hurting people. ya know. like real life.#but theyre made to look and act like they do. like boston robotic's dog designed for police brutality. and their dance videos.#even the stuff i've seen where the robot is just a robot... they then turn it around or are like #'oh but theres a secret second robo-personality in this one' as if a programmer would be willing to do that. too much work.#the conspiracy theorist vocab is intentional. btw.
