I just wanna know what camp atmosphere was like after the events of Period of Adjustment
#mash#like the first few days to a week after that episode had to have been. Something#like there were lots of witnesses at Rosie's for one thing even if we didn't see what happened at Rosie's#but even the more private stuff after. word gets around fast#I feel like most people are extra nice to Klinger for about a week#some overbearingly nice but the thought and intent is appreciated#meanwhile with BJ there's a MUCH different attitude kjfhkjdfh#I think the most sympathy he gets is from some in the main cast#I think Potter and Klinger would be the most sympathetic#Margaret does feel for him but she's also miffed and is curt with him for a few days until she cools down#I think Charles is pissed but won't admit it and just gives him the cold shoulder for a few days#and then just acts like nothing happened#Mulcahy is also pissed and says so but keeps it short and then gives him the silent treatment till he calms down#he calms down quicker than Margaret and Charles and probably helps BJ with his lingering feelings on the whole thing#not including Hawkeye's feelings here cause he was THERE and also it would take me a week#in terms of the rest of camp I feel like it's incredibly tense because like#they all know mostly through word of mouth#like surely some people in camp heard the commotion and their entire context was#yelling glass breaking and next day Hawkeye's got a black eye and BJ cant even look at him#and then again. word spreads quickly#and Hawkeye is very much beloved!#most people probably avoid him till the atmosphere calms down#my kingdom for a follow up episode just to see like#one scene is Klinger getting help from all sides and everyone being just ridiculously nice#cut to BJ walking into the mess tent being met with dead silence and glares while he gets his food. he leaves and eats in the Swamp#I think about this a lot#will I write a full fic. no <3

Wicked little thing - Alastor x Gn!reader NSFW
warnings: NSFW, MDNI pls thank you,, possessive Alastor, pet names, established relationship, doesn't really have a plot just smut dom!Alastor, sub!reader
okay so this is gonna be NSFW I am aware that Alastor is ace but Id like to say that it is a spectrum and a lot of people who are ace themselves also write NSFW of Al, but in case anything happens I'll be happy to take it down also the outfit is primarily like shorts/miniskirt and a shirt with a boob window
Today was a peaceful day, well at least as peaceful as it could get in hell anyway, Y/n was getting ready in their room in the hotel, they weren't sure of what to wear so they opted for a pretty open outfit since it was hot that day, not thinking one bit about what other people might think, the important thing is that they were comfortable. So they went down to the lobby to get some errands from Charlie for the day, she was hanging out at the bar with Husk and Vaggie talking about god knows what but as soon as she saw Y/n coming in her direction she perked up ready to say hi to them
''Oh hi Y/n!! Good morning!! You came down to get some errands I presume?,,
she said excitedly taking them by the hand to greet them even more, they couldn't help but smile at her excitement
''yeah ahah, hope I'm not interrupting anything tho,,
she shook her head smiling looking back at them with kind of a serious face even tho it was still filled with excitement
''Okay so I need you to do some errands outside in cannibal town, you know how the people helped us and everything id like for you to give this to Rosie! sadly I'm too busy to do it myself I hope Its not a bother,,
''not at all, don't even worry about Charlie I will go there right away,,
they say taking said thing from Charlie's hands and heading out of the Hotel. As they arrived at cannibal town it took them a while to remember where Rosie's emporium was but as soon as they found they sighed in relief. It's not like they didn't like cannibal town, hell Alastor was a cannibal so it wasn't that, it's just that being outside with a bunch of people around made them uneasy.
As they enter the emporium they hear Rosie talking to someone so they walk towards the voices to find Alastor is the one she was talking to, they weren't surprised at all, Rosie was one of Alastor's dear friend so it was usual for them to be talking. They put all their attention towards Rosie not even noticing how Alastor was gripping his staff a little too tight
''Hey Rosie! I came here to give you something Charlie wanted you to have! here!,,
they say giving them the thing from their hands, Rosie was really happy and thanked them profusely also asking them if they wanted a pinky finger or something, but they declined kindly. It was at this point that Alastor got up from his seat, planting a hand on Y/n waist a little roughly
''My dear Rosie, it was a pleasure speaking to you but it seems that me and this little thing have to be going! till next time!,,
and like that shadows engulfed them making them appear in the shared bedroom they had at the hotel. Alastor then with one hand rotates them around roughly, putting one hand under their chin and pulling their head up to look at him while the other one digs in their waist. Y/n was confused at this little aggression that Alastor was displaying, it was not like it at all
''Don't I always tell you to be careful my dear, mh?~ what is going on with this distasteful outfit you are wearing, how many people looked at you,,
Y/n looked him in the eyes understanding what was going on: He was jealous and nonetheless possessive they didn't say anything, wanting Alastor to get even more worked up over how they looked today. Seeing this Alastor pushes them onto the bed and places himself between their legs, one hand digging into their hip while the other one is around their pretty little neck
''not replying now are we, pet?~ Let's see how much you can hold in your words, shall we?..
with that, he roughly took off their pants and slipped out his cock then pushed it all in one thrust, this made Y/n whimper with their mouth closed not wanting to give up on being a brat just yet. Alastor was going rough, hard and fast savouring every thrust, still holding on to their neck, the other hand claws digging deeper in their hip with each thrust
''you belong to me, do you understand that pet?~,,
he says waiting for an answer from them, when he doesn't get one he slaps their ass making them moan out loud, he then gets his face closer to theirs to whisper in their ear
''I want an answer my love~,,
they moan putting both their hands around the hand that Alastor had around their necks, they decide they've been a brat enough, after all they didn't want the radio demon to get even more aggressive
''Yes Alastor,,
he then smirks and kisses them on the neck going back to his pace now a little slower and softer
''Good pet,,
he says now kissing them on the neck and savouring every moan that comes out of their mouth. He then starts going even faster when he starts reaching his climax, his hands both on their hips digging into their skin, and finishing in them with one last hard thrust. He then flops himself on their chest breathing heavily
''Sorry I made you mad Al~,,
they say now in a soft voice, putting their hands in Alastor's hair to stroke at his deer ears, this makes him hum softly
a/n: I LOVE ALASTOR WITH MY ENTIRE BEING!! and him being possessive wowie sign me in!!! hope you guys liked this and remember my requests are now open in case anyone wants to suggest a prompt!!

3.201 Miracles
Once again, I took advantage of the dry weather, daring Mother Nature to trick me again. I grabbed the toolbox and got back to work on the treehouse. I wish I could tell you I made good, uninterrupted progress. It was Rosie this time who pulled me away. She hovered nearby the entire time, so I stopped and gave her what she wanted. She's only clingy like that for two reasons, and both of them require my undivided attention. We went for a long jog. When we returned, the house was dark, and my girls were fast asleep. The night was still young, and I wasn't ready to call it quite yet, so I had a personal care night. I'm ashamed to admit when I last did yoga, and my muscles were a lot tighter because of it. I really need to figure out how to balance taking care of myself and my life.
In the morning, I woke up to a big ruckus on the side of my house. It sounded like a loud motor, so I got up to see what was going on. To my surprise, my sister caused the racket, and she was weeding the money tree! I can't lie; I felt myself tearing up. Alessia is one of the most self-centered sims I know. There's been almost nothing she's done or said that didn't benefit her. I mean, the woman skipped my engagement dinner because she didn't feel like going, and she was my sim of honor. But there she was, in my side yard, caring for my tree. Whether it's the kids softening her, or she's finally maturing, I'm so grateful to see her considering others' needs.
"Hey, sis. What are you doing out here?"
"Oh! Did I wake you?"
"Yeah, but it's cool, I guess."
"Sorry. I never saw a tree like this, so I came to get a closer look. When I saw the weeds, I figured I may as well. What is this, anyway?"
"I appreciate you doing that. This is my wedding gift from Dub. It's a money tree."
She gasped.
"They're real?!"
"Right? I didn't think they were either."
"Wow. He's some friend."
"Yeah. He's the best."
I rarely have opportunities to be up close and personal with my sister. Her eyes look tired, and I realized I don't actually know what's going on in her life.
"How are you doing, Less? Like, really."
She shrugged.
"I'm alright, I guess."
"Really, Less?"
She shrugged lackadaisically again. Some things about her will never change.
"There's not much to tell. I have my kids and boring job so they don't eat me."
I laughed so loud. Good thing we don't have neighbors right next to us.
"What about Jace?" I asked. "You heard from him?"
"Nope."
"Damn. I was really hoping he'd step up."
"He'd have to be a man to do that."
"HA! Okay, you got me there."
I had another question I was afraid to ask. The last time I asked it, I got WAY more than I bargained for. But I really wanted an answer. I promised Mama I would look after her, and I can't quite do that if I don't know what I'm dealing with.
"So...are you seeing anyone?"
"When the hell would I have time for that?"
"Touché. You should make time, though. I don't want you to feel like you're trapped in the house with the kids all the time. That's why we moved here, remember?"
"Yeah. I know. The truth is, I kinda like those little gremlins. I thought I'd hate motherhood and being tied down, but..."
"Yeah. Kids have a way of melting your heart."
"They do. I'll get back out there at some point, but for now, I'm cool with just me and my three."
Has Winterfest come early? Because I've just witnessed two miracles, ha!
"I'm really glad to hear that. I always worried about how this would go for you because...you know. Happy to know you're enjoying the journey. Mama would be so proud of you..."
The latch on the gate behind us clicks. My cute little shadow walks through, looking like she's on a mission.
"Auntie Lessia, can Breanna come play?"
"Des, it's not even 8 a.m.," I said. "Give them time to get dressed and eat breakfast."
"She can spend the day with us, you know," Alessia suggested.
As much as I love my sister, she was never on my list of potential babysitters. It's not that I don't trust her or I think she won't take care of my child because I know she will; I've seen it. I've just always been painfully aware of her situation and didn't want to add to her stress. But given what she just told me, maybe we can change that.
"Are you sure? You have your hands full already."
"It's cool, Luca. What's one more child? Besides, having her over will help me. With all four of them together, everyone will have a playmate. That frees to do other things."
I never thought of it that way.
"True. Well...yeah, okay. If you're cool with it, I'm down."
"You want to help me make breakfast?" she asked Desiree.
"Okay," Desiree shouted.
"You're such a little sweetie."
"By the way," she said to me, "I'm still very upset you got the blue-eyed child. Like, what in the world??"
"I guess the Watcher loves me the best."
"Whatever! You look like a dork. What are you even wearing?? Looking like a freezer bunny threw up on you!"

2022 Year in Review
I'm so late, pretend I did this like five weeks ago.
I was tagged by the incomparable @lucerants for a 2022 Year in Review!! Here we go! I'm also gonna talk about 'em all so this is gonna get long!
Top 5 Movies you watched this year:
1 - The Medium (2021)
This is an excellent and disturbing Thai horror film about possession. The last thirty minutes are such pure insanity, all I could do was stare at the screen with my mouth gaping. Highly recommended if you love horror.
2 - Encanto (2022)
What a delightful and beautiful film! I loved the themes of family, being true to yourself, and the importance of acceptance. The music absolutely slaps - if "We Don't Talk About Bruno" didn't get stuck in your head this year, did you really live??
3 - The Fallout (2021)
This was one of the first Jenna Ortega films I saw, and I really enjoyed it. She and Maddie Ziegler had great chemistry and did a really good job of portraying their new-friends-but-also-maybe-more relationship. And it was a truly heartbreaking and very real depiction of what being a teenager in our mass shooting saturated society must feel like.
4 - Spiderman: No Way Home
I'm not really into Marvel, as a rule, but I had to check this movie out since they brought Tobey Maguire back. I was surprised at how emotional I got when story lines from over a decade ago got some closure, especially since that closure came with a lot of empathy for the villains. It was a really fun, meta, fan-servicey movie that made me smile, and even tear up a bit at the end.
5 - Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
Technically I watched this movie at the very beginning of 2023, but I'm going to add it here now because I think it's a movie that truly defined and reflected the feeling of being alive in the early 2020s so well. It was so brilliantly written and shot, just an absolute phantasmagorical roller-coaster of action, comedy, and incredibly heartfelt emotion. I had only heard good things going in, and this film absolutely lived up to my high expectations.
Top 5 TV shows you watched this year
1 - Station Eleven
This show changed me. It's truly one of the most beautiful, well-written, gentle, and human stories I've ever witnessed. It took a setting and premise I thought I was done with forever - post-apocalypse fiction - and made something profoundly impactful. Get the tissues. Prepare to feel everything.
2 - Interview with the Vampire
This was such a delightful adaptation, especially in the ways they changed it. Jacob Anderson as Louis captured the character in a way that brings incredible nuance, even more so in his position as a black gay man in the early 20th century. Sam Reid was an electric and terrifyingly appealing Lestat. And Bailey Bass brought Claudia to life and managed to perfectly portray her various life stages, even as she remains ageless. It's just a really, really good interpretation of a story that I already loved, so it was a joy to watch.
3 - House of the Dragon
I love messy blondes, I love tragic love stories, I love women and their complex and tender and vitriolic relationships. Also dragons. I'm interacting with the fandom via a ten-foot pole, and am very pleased that two of my most treasured mutuals (Luce, Rosy <3) were along for the ride with me for s1.
4 - The Wilds (s2)
I'll never forgive Amazon for giving this show the axe. I'll also never forgive the fandom for reacting to the boys so negatively. S3 would've been incredible. But! I'm glad that we got s2, and got to see more from the Unsinkable Eight. I'm glad we got to meet the boys and learn their stories. I'll always be impressed and grateful for the way this show handled a storyline about sexual assault between young men. And even though there are still so many unanswered questions and we needed an s3, I'm glad that pretty much all of the mysteries introduced in s1 were wrapped up by the end. Better to have loved those castaways and lost them than never loved them at all!
5 - Our Flag Means Death
This show was such a salve - a joyful little pirate sitcom that played on sitcom tropes in a way that made every episode a delight. It was funny, charming, and beautifully shot. I'm so excited for season two!
Top 5 DnD Campaigns you watched this year
The biggest shift in my life this year, especially in terms of media I consume, was my discovery of DnD actual play shows. If I wasn't actively watching a TV show this year, D20 was on in the background. I watched these campaigns multiple times each. I am obsessed.
1 - Critical Role's EXU: Calamity
One of the most heart-wrenching stories I've ever seen, beautifully told and acted by an incredible team of DnD players. The ending is so bittersweet and perfect. I caught the finale live and it wrecked me, I spent the last hour of it weeping. (It was also 1am and the end of a six-hour marathon.) What a masterpiece. The Bronze Ring endures.
2 - Dimension 20: Fantasy High Sophomore Year
This is my favorite campaign by the folks at Dimension 20. The fact that it's live, so delightfully chaotic, and has the lowest production value of any other season makes it so charming and comforting to me. Plus Kalina is easily a Top 3 D20 villain.
3 - D20: A Crown of Candy
Coming up at a close second, A Crown of Candy was the first D20 season I finished. I binged it in about two days (didn't watch the Adventuring Parties at first, though) and felt so thoroughly ripped from the world when it was over that I kinda mourned a family of candy people for like two days straight. It's such a fun, technicolor, sugary-sweet world - but the plot and characters are so complex, so dark, that I was completely swept away by their story. It's just a really well-built and clever world, and it features some of my favorite D20 characters ever (Amethar, Saccarhina, Lapin, and Calroy.)
4 - D20: The Seven
Since The Seven is set in the same world as Fantasy High, I went in with really steep expectations. I was definitely not disappointed. The vibes and relationships between all of the women at the table is so genuine and infectious. The story is touching, but there's so much chaos and so many shenanigans from the characters that there's also so much to laugh about. It's another comfort rewatch, for sure.
5 - D20: Misfits and Magic
Aabria as a GM is always a good time for me, and I really loved seeing this cast parody the Harry Potter universe (and associated "kids at magic boarding school" trope) with such affection, but also incisive criticism. It's funny, light-hearted, and also really fun to watch Brennan be a PC, and get to bounce off the other players as a single personality. (Evan + K = 4Ever)
Top 5 Songs of this year
(I'm not gonna take this from Spotify, although all of these songs were in my top 20)
1 - "It's Called: Freefall" by Rainbow Kitten Surprise
This song did it all for me in 2022. It was a comfort song, a pump-up song, a breakdown song, and a sing-a-long and dance song. I don't know why it struck such a chord with me - I'd enjoyed plenty of other RKS songs before, but never on this level. It just resonates. It was my top song of 2022 on Spotify, and given that the four next songs are all by Halsey, that's saying something.
2 - "Whispers" by Halsey
After seeing this song live, it swiftly reentered my top 5 from IICHLIWP. It's an intense experience even just as a studio track, but the way Halsey sang it in person elevated the song to something even more painfully relatable and real. It's a song that's followed me into 2023, that's for sure.
3 - "Bounce Man" by Twenty One Pilots
I didn't like most of Scaled and Icy, but this song was a huge exception. It was my go-to whenever I needed a pick-me-up. That addictively catchy chorus, the fun beat, the lyrics being hopeful in the face of a scary situation (classic TOP) - that's a combination that hits just right on a tough day.
4 - "Fucks Me Up" by Anthony Green
On the other side of the coin, this song will make you cry on that same tough day, but you'll feel better afterwards. My husband and I share a love for Saosin and Circa Survive, mostly because of Anthony Green's incredible vocals. This entire album is gorgeous, but this song (and the last verse in particular) - well, it fucks me up!
5 - "Tree House" by Alex G feat Emily Yacina
This one is sweet, fun, and calming, and is going to remain in my rotation for a long time to come. It reminds me of my best friend (she did show it to me, but it'd remind me of her even if she hadn't,) and makes me feel so cozy and safe. It's just nice. :)
Top 5 albums of this year
1 - If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power by Halsey
For the second year in a row, this album owned my entire life. Most of my top ten on my Spotify Wrapped was devoted to this album. I still go buckwild when I heard "Easier than Lying" and it's my most played song on Spotify EVER, which includes like five years of music-listening. Getting to see most of these songs live (and then some, that 2hr set was crazy) made for one of the best nights of my entire life. It was an emotional experience bordering on spiritual, which is not a place I normally visit. It's Halsey's masterpiece, a perfect marriage of her abilities as a lyricist combined with some of the best production they've ever had. I just love it so goddamn much.
2 - Boom. Done. by Anthony Green
This album is a beautiful, heart-wrenching, honest reflection on addiction, recovery, and trauma. It's sonically very soothing, but lyrically absolutely crushing, which makes for a very tender experience. My husband and I spent most of the end of the year with these songs on rotation when were listened to music together, so this album is going to hold a special place in my heart for a long time.
3 - HOLY FVCK by Demi Lovato
I feel Demi has always been destined to make an album like this. Their voice is perfect for rock music, and the honesty in her lyrics (which reflect her very difficult life experiences) just work so much better with guitars and drums behind them than snyth beats. I didn't love every song on this album, but it's definitely my favorite work by Demi thus far.
4 & 5. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (Live at Webster Hall) and Badlands (Live at Webster Hall) by Halsey
Although these are two very different albums, I love them for the same reason, which is that they both are records of Halsey performing live. I truly think live performances are where they shine the brightest, and many of the live versions of these songs have completely replaced the studio versions for me.
Top 5 fictional characters of this year
1 - Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower (House of the Dragon)
As Luce said, you cannot separate them, it causes wars. I love them both so much. And I'm gonna love and hate watching them continue to tear each other apart.
2 - Louis de Pointe du Lac (Interview with the Vampire)
Jacob Anderson just killed the fuck out of this role, and made me appreciate Louis in a way I never have before.
3 - Adaine Abernant (Fantasy High)
I actually can't put into words how much I love Adaine, or why. If you know, you know.
4 - Kirsten Raymonde (Station Eleven)
I'm always a sucker for a fierce, protective woman with a metric fuckton of baggage, who still manages to maintain a heart of gold in the midst of a horrible situation. Kirsten is all of that, and so, so much more.
5 - Lizzie Saltzman (Legacies)
I just think she's a really fun extension on Caroline Forbes' character, as her heir apparent, and she was often the funniest and most emotionally engaging character on the show. Plus, y'know, Hizzie.
Top 5 games you played this year
The Quarry
The Mortuary Assistant
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The Long Dark
Martha is Dead
5 Positive Things that happened, no matter how small!
1 - I got to see Halsey in concert at my favorite venue!
2 - I moved to a bigger place!
3 - I went and visited my best friend in October!
4 - I got a new job!
5 - I spent a lot of really wonderful time on this website making dumb jokes, crying over shows, and chatting with all of you! <3
Since I'm so very, very late in posting this, I'm not gonna tag anyone, but if you wanna tell me about something you enjoyed last year, feel free!!
#I'm just gonna post this because if I don't do it now I never will#about me#year in review#2022#year in review 2022#rambling about my life

Gods, the way he spoke was just... it was something else. He was so calm, relaxed, speaking where appropriate, made his comments as if it were so simple. How? How could he? She was stood there just managing. Of course, however, she was brave-facing—as if to prepare for some sort of inevitable... and there certainly was one.
Her cheeks were still rather rosy, pinked rather. Yes, he definitely noticed it, then... Bugger. Not that she minded, on the contrary. Wetting her lips ( for god knows what time, it just seemed to occur a lot ), Hermione fidgeted. ❝I'm not offended,❞ she mumbled, ❝I just... It's a worrisome thing, regardless if there's spells and things that can resolve an injury. Things like that can be fatal if you're not careful.❞ Not that she thought Harry, Ron, Ginny or even Draco weren't careful whenever they played, and not that they wouldn't act responsible for whatever would happen out in that field if any of them ever taught this little one how to play, let alone fly. Making a little smile at him, Hermione tilted her head, ❝I'm an only child too, you know,❞ Of course he'd know... probably? ❝So I get what you mean, well, in a way.❞ She lightly shrugged her shoulders, that smile still remaining on her face. Having friends growing up, before Hogwarts, just wasn't a thing for her. Not really. She was too focused on her reading, her learning... typical of her, really. She got called weird and very different than most girls her age, but it didn't seem to really bother her. Her parents loved her for it, so that's all that mattered.
Watching him carefully, Hermione witnessed that bit of colour on his face and his persona shift. Embarrassed? Uncomfortable? She couldn't tell, but it had her eyes widening. So... did he not want to see her? Well... that stung. Just a bit. Unless she was reading into it wrong, which she could be. She very well could be. But, dear Merlin, had she been dying to see him. To tell him. The words just weren't coming to her, not now. But they will. She'll make them.
For now, she can be content with his compliments about her work and the effort she went through to get to where she was and what she had done. Accomplished, more like. Her lips curving up, along with her nose wrinkling, she mused a, ❝Well, you're welcome,❞ as if to be slightly cocky. She worked hard, after all, and seeing her achievements get noticed? By him? If that didn't add some sort of fire to her, nothing would.
Wait—was he leaving? So soon? She felt herself going pale. She could tell him right now. She could do it. He'd know, and it'd all be out in the open. Obviously he'd basically just given her an invitation to show up at his place if she so needed to, but... ❝I—❞ She started, her breath catching in her throat. Bloody hell, 'Mione, come on, out with it, her brain urged, her teeth digging into her bottom lip again, ❝I do—need something, I mean.❞ She intertwined her hands down in front of her, being mindful of her little bump, ❝I think we need to talk.❞ Yes, that was putting it vaguely, but the tone she was using... she hoped he understood. As lovely as this all had been, and would love to keep it that way, this particular conversation needed to be away from prying eyes and ears, considering they were still out in the open.
A small laugh, more of a chuckle really, escaped his mouth as he replied, “Oh, I have a few guesses. But I wouldn’t want to make you any redder.” He snorted softly, opting to not tell her of any of his escapades as as a child. And most certainly not the ones where he had been on a broom. No, Hermione Granger would not like that at all. “No need to get offended. I just know that’s most often the cause for not wanting to get on them, so I assumed.” He lifted his shoulders in a shrug before nodding in understanding.
“Fortunately for us, magic has been able to mend us in many of those cases. But I see where you come from. It is quite dangerous to get on a broom if one is not properly trained, why paying attention in class was so important.” He knew he’d made a fool of himself that first flying class, but he’d been a horrible little Slytherin back then too. It didn’t help that his father had practically encouraged it. “If it helps, having those people around will be good for the child in the end. It is a very lonely childhood when it’s just you for company.” He didn’t mean to make things so somber, but it was true. His parents tried to entertain him as a child, his mother in particular, but he’d still been lonely. And no amount of events where his parents brought over their friends children once in a blue moon didn’t help. And it didn’t help being alone in that huge manor either with just a house elf for company. Granted, that had been part of why he’d treated Dobby so well.
At the mention of wanting to see her, Draco felt his cheeks warm a little and he looked down at his feet as he shuffled them a little, suddenly feeling shy. “No, I … I just thought I might is all.” He rubbed the back of his neck against as he met her eyes. Draco was not normally this awkward, in fact, he liked to think of himself as cool and collected when it came to women. Somehow Hermione brought this out of him, not that he would ever admit to it.
Snorting softly, Draco said, “Oh yes, I’m sure they knew they had to give in to you, didn’t they? You’re welcome. I did always think the House Elves didn’t deserve to be treated the way they did, it was just always … normal. Not that I’m excusing it, but it’s good to know that they’ve got some rights now.” Though from what he had heard, many of them hadn’t changed much of their positions, other than their owners were now paying them and they weren’t considered owned anymore either. That was going to be difficult for some of the wizarding community to get used to, but they all would in time, he was sure.
“Anyway, it was nice to run into you again. If you need anything, you know where my place is.” She knew because that was where she had disappeared off from that morning. Draco wanted to flat out ask her if the baby was his, he wanted to offer support, but if she didn’t want it, then he wouldn’t force it on her.

Cursed Dangers
Pairing: Henry Drax x Original Female Character
Rating: Mature/Explicit (SMUT!! RAPE!! LOTS OF CUSS WORDS! UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS ALL THE WAY!).
Description: Following the devastating events that took place in the North, leading to the sinking of the Volunteer and the deaths of many. We follow the life of Mister Baxter's one and only child, Maeve Amelia Baxter. Secure and sheltered under her father's watchful eye for far too long, as news of the tragedy passes through the Baxter estate, she starts to realize that not everything is exactly as it seems.
Author's Note: I do believe this to be the most questionable and morally corrupt fic I have ever written. I would caution that the passing reader exercise a bit of discretion when reading because even I found this to be a little rough. I just thought it would hold true to the character, because he is a very bad individual. I enjoyed writing him, but still, this got a little out of hand in my opinion. I do plan on turning this into a series.
Maeve was now certain that someone was living in the attic; Footsteps in the middle of the night, pattering at the ceiling above her bed, distant conversations that felt all too close and voices all too familiar. Her father went up there an awful lot lately too, and he was never a very good liar. When she asked him about it, showing even a morsel of concern that he might not know the answer either, he was a bit suspicious.
I haven't the slightest idea what you are referring too, love. There isn't anything up there, you've seen so before.
Oh yes, something was definitely off. However, there was always something off with her father's dealings. Starting with the many shipwrecks that occurred under his management, the more recent one being that of the Volunteer. And then, of course, the men he kept company with weren't cheerful or pleasant in the slightest. She did feel a sort of pang in her chest when she heard that Captain Brownlee had gone down with his ship in the wreck, he was perhaps one of the few men in her father's business that she considered a good and respectable man. Then there were the others, the one's like Henry Drax, that made her equally as hot as they did cold. The one's that fueled her curiosity, no matter how much she wished they didn't, and she just couldn't stay away.
She had a bit of Irish in her blood, her father said so, from her mother's side. If the telltale red streaks that layered the bits of a stark blonde didn't already give that away. And her rosy cheeks. And her porcelain skin. And the reason why dangerous things always seemed to excite her.
About two years back, after her mother passed away, she had managed to convince her father to let her go on a voyage with one of his whaling ships. Her father insisted that she could only go if he went with her and so he did, albeit begrudgingly. It was the Volunteer, and Brownlee was a wonderful host to say the least. Her only complaint was that it was just so cold, frigid even, so cold she thought her toes would fall off. That was when she met Henry Drax, a modern marvel among men, brooding and determined and with a hint of mystery to him. But stories had circulated from the other crew members to her that Drax wasn't all that much a marvel at all. From one fellow she heard that the man had partaken in cannibalism, from another she heard that he was chronically infected with a deadly venereal disease, but then she heard from none other than the troublemaker himself-Cavendish-who told her that Drax was the best lad, a perfect lad, the hardest working lad, the most honorable lad. Cavendish was a hoot.
She pushed all the tales aside and sought to make her own assumptions about the man, dangerously so. Her father seemed fond of him, but then again, her father's judgement was largely skewed toward greed and profit. Drax was the best sealer, the best whaler-no doubt-and Maeve witnessed it first hand. Before having spoken to him at all, Drax looked at her from afar often and his eyes were deep and dark and penetrating and for some reason she always knew when he was watching. The first time she spoke to him, it was to ask a simple question, and he answered her and called her little bird and it made her stomach twist in a delightful way. There was that one time, in the deck below, the crew was drinking and cheering and singing sea shanties left and right, and the boat was swaying so hard that Maeve was struggling to catch her footing. She would have fallen if Drax hadn't caught her shy a full inch off the ground, allowing the boat's harsh tip to pull her back upright. She gawked at him in surprise and then they both laughed and for the remainder of the festivities, he didn't let go of her once. And then there was that one time-oh gosh, that time-when Cavendish had said something degrading to her, meaning no harm by it in his mind, but it was a disgusting comment no less. At first Drax laughed with him, but it was fake and lacking all of it's usual jolly mirth, then the next thing you remember was Cavendish flush to the ground, cheek buried into the wooden plank of the deck. Henry rung his hand out and the spot between her legs exploded with need and desire and she thought her cheeks couldn't get anymore red. And Henry smiled at her before helping Cavendish to his feet, and luckily Cavendish still had the same heart eyes for his fellow mate because Maeve wasn't sure how she'd feel if she had witnessed a full on fight involving Henry Drax.
She thought about him a lot, truly, she couldn't help herself. She thought about that time he removed his coat from his very own shoulders to place it over hers: the coat gobbled her up, inches laying flat to the deck from excess, and warm and big like Drax himself. She thought about when she felt the smooth and slippery back of the first whale she had ever seen, right before he stabbed his massive harpoon through it's heart. She thought about the looks he would give her, when he thought she wasn't looking and when she did look, and he never looked away. She most especially thought about the last night she spent with him, before they made it to port. The waters were still and the air was chilly and it would have been her final night on the Volunteer. She'd probably never see any of these men again, these sailors that she had grown fond of and that doted on her as if she was the queen herself. She made sure to kiss every one of them on the cheek before they went to bed. Cavendish tried to sneak a kiss on her lips and when she kneed him between the legs, the whole crew bellowed laughter. And Drax-well-Drax's goodnight kiss was special to her for some reason. He cupped the back of her head as she kissed his cheek and she wondered if he would ever let go. When she withdrew, his eyes were like crescent pools of endless black and his lifted eyebrows softened his entire expression. She grabbed him by his suspenders when no one was looking and whispered in his ear to meet her on the deck in ten minutes. She harbored no regrets that night when she gave herself to him, even as he took her like the starved man that he was and left her with marks covering every inch of her body that would remain unseen to her father's prying gaze that next morning. He watched her leave with Mister Baxter that next day, following her with beady eyes the whole way and unable to pull his gaze even once. She smiled back at him then, where he had that same look of need in his eyes and she wished she didn't have to leave.
Oh, how she ached to be with a man like Henry Drax, but ever so the hypocrite, her father would never allow it. He married an Irish woman and worked his way up the hierarchical ladder into riches and he still would never accept Drax as a potential suitor for Maeve. Never. He would seek no same fate for his only daughter. He had not worked so hard, only for her to fall back into the same societal pigsty that he had crawled out of in his youth.
In fact, since her mother passed, her father kept Maeve on a tight leash. He didn't want to even fathom the idea of passing her off down the aisle. She was pleased for it, reckoning that she wouldn't have to worry about ever marrying and carrying children and being that quiet and obedient dame that men of her particular class so desired.
No. She had already given her heart away, never to be seen again.
Her father told her that Henry Drax was no more. He died in the wreckage also; Cavendish too, and Otto, and McKendrick, and even that young cabin boy who never had the gull to talk to her because he was always a bumbling mess when he tried. She cried into her pillow for them, but she cried especially for Drax.
Then, she found the letter, from a surgeon, one from the Volunteer. She was snooping in her father's office, contemplating braving the attic to see what was up there, when she spotted it on her father's desk. She couldn't believe what she was reading and her heart broke with each horrifying new plot; the cabin boy was sodomized and killed, the sodomizer and killer was Henry Drax, Brownlee was attacked by Drax and he did not survive, Cavendish sailed the ship further north, the ship wrecked in the ice, the men of the Hastings were all sunk in a storm, the men that survived were waiting for their deaths' in a small tent in the middle of nowhere, inuits arrived, helped them-maybe something to hope for-but no, Henry Drax killed them too, and then he killed Cavendish, and then he fled, leaving his fellow crew members behind to die in a barren icy wasteland... the surgeon was the only survivor.
Her heart broke, it split apart as literally as it could without knocking her down, she was a dead woman walking. Her eyes flitted to the attic door and as crazy an idea as it was to fathom: Could her father be harboring a fugitive? A monster? A Murderer to the highest degree? She felt tears trickle down her cheeks because the Drax she just read about simply couldn't be the one she held so dearly. He was rough-yes-rugged-yes-and he had no qualms about his desires and no filter for those desires, but he was also so tender with her in passing, so gentle, and a man who truly did treat her good. She was now starting to see that all he was, was that of a lie. That perhaps her trust had been manipulated and betrayed and meaningless to the likes of a man like him.
She threw the letter down on the desk, bunched up the skirts of her pale blue dress and stormed toward the attic door. If she didn't do it then and there, it would have followed her for the remainder of the day and even some more. Maeve was angry, boiling with rage, and she was sad and she wanted to cry, and she was just a mess. And if her suspicions were true, then he would be there for her to take it out on. He would finally be there when she needed him and no longer be the same honorable man she once thought him to be.
She rose up the concrete stairs, the creaking of a cot up ahead made her pause, before she continued barreling up the rest of the way. She dropped her skirts when she rounded the railing of the staircase, a concrete column pulling her to it's side as her suspicions were proven.
"Urgh, go away n' ask Stevenson to help ya'." His words were slurred, back turned to her, an empty bottle of rum rolling on it's side beside the cot. Maeve felt an uncomfortable dread fill her to the core, she leant against the column, tilting her head to the side to consider the remainder of the attic. It was still empty as ever, with a scarce amount of light filtering in from the creaked open shutters in the window. "Did'ya hear me ya'-" Drax twisted his body to face her, he squinted in her direction, and then frantically fumbled to his feet.
Maeve frowned at him, boring holes into his empty vessel-soulless vessel-with her brilliant blue eyes, as she scoured her mind for words that would not come. He weaved his fingers through his greasy black hair, slicking the matted strands back and forcing them sleek.
"Little bird." He greeted in a gravely voice, sobered up some from the surprise of it all. He smirked at her with his rotten teeth, and she dropped the side of her forehead to the wall as she continued to stare at him. "Well?" He held his arms open, beckoning her to him. She mustered the courage to shake her head, watching his entire resolve slowly falter with the lowering of his arms and his once brilliant grin.
"W-W-" She gulped, lifting her chin. "Why did you do it?" He gritted his teeth, hands falling to his hips.
"Do what?"
"You killed all those people..." She was surprised he even heard her, as she was speaking so softly, so quietly. And he did step forward and she stepped back and his stern jaw went taut. "You raped a boy!" She spoke a little louder, voice wavering. Her hands crowned at her stomach, to hopefully ease the pain there.
"I do as I please, when I please." He shrugged, careless of the nature of his actions and the pain they brought her.
"I should-I should go tell the authorities." She placed a hand on the railing, her heart beating faster and faster as a deafening silence thickened around them. He tugged the hem of his pants higher up his hips.
"I s'pose I'll have to strangle ya' then. You think ye' can outrun me?"
"You'd hurt me too?"
"Well, if you plan on tellin' others 'bout me whereabouts, then yes." Her nostrils flared and she held her breath, one passing moment where she made her decision, or at least was considering it.
"You're a monster."
"So 've been told."
"Have you no conscience? No guilt for the horrid crimes you've committed?"
"Would ya' think 'dem so horrid if there weren't rules in place to say so?" Her chest rose and fell with a deep breath.
"Yes, I would. Because I don't believe in hurting other people."
"Well, it's the only thing I know."
"I don't believe that."
"That why you're still standing there?" Drax was an exceptionally good hunter and when his prey was about to dart, he knew exactly when and how. She rushed down the staircase, barely stood a chance as he drunkenly managed after her and caught her just before she erupted in a scream. His dirty palm swallowed her lips and his other arm wrapped around her waist. With his hot and steamy breath at her throat, the scent of rum burnt her nostrils and she hissed against his skin.
"Shhh..." She struggled, his lips pressing to the nape of her neck and he groaned into the flesh there. "Shhh, little bird, shhh!" He grew more and more forceful as she continued to fight him, pulling her backside flush to his front. "If yur' father finds out that you know 'bout lil'ol me it won't end well for you n'him. D'ya understand?" She whimpered and then deflated, growing slack in his embrace. "Good girl, good." He chirped, obnoxiously slapping her lips with the firm hand there.
"Miss Baxter!" It was Winona, the maid. "Are you alright?!" That hand over Maeve's lips encompassed her whole jaw and then her head was being jerked past her shoulder to face Drax. He warned her with a threatening glare, then nodded in the direction of the attic door.
"Y-Yes!" Maeve shouted back instantly, "I'm fine! Please! Don't fuss!" He huffed against her lips and she trembled, then he shoved her so hard she was stumbling back against the concrete wall. He doubled toward the attic door and carefully closed it shut, turning the bronze lock in at the top. Maeve's eyes went wide and she flattened herself as far as she could against the wall.
"Fuck..." He breathed, somehow more breathless than he was having moved so fast to catch her. He twisted to face her, eyes crested and she knew that look better than anything. It haunted her for days after they said their last goodbyes and haunted her more so as she thought him dead and now it haunted her because she loved that look. She hated herself for loving that look now. The look of desperation, of need, of pure unadulterated want, in it's most primal form. "Been waitin' so long for you to come and pay a visit, little bird." She flinched with each step he took, closer and closer till his arms were on either side of her, effectively caging her in.
"Ah yes, I be wishin' fur ya' all day and all night to come see me as we're here and now." His other hand cupped her cheek, the tips of his fingers weaving through her loose hair and he chuckled. "So fuckin' gorgeous. Softest and sweetest lay I eva' had."
"That's all I was then?" She squeezed her eyes shut to hold back tears. This was overwhelming and terrifying and heartbreaking and she had never felt so many things all at once. "Just a lay?"
"Ahhh, no, no, don't think that." His tone was sickly sweet and she opened her eyes to watch him take joy in curling his fingers in her hair, he yanked her head back. "You're worth a wankin' to." She found herself scowling, rolling her tongue against her cheek before spitting directly in his face. His expression clenched as he turned his head away, before he laughed, ducking his head off his shoulder to wipe away her spit. He surprised Maeve, fingers curling hard around her throat and slamming her head against the wall. Her eyes rolled in her head and she went dizzy.
"Now, now, sweetie, I like it a whole lot betta' when you don't pretend ya' hate me, ain't that so." Her brain was scrambled, the back of her head throbbing and she worried she might faint. But somehow, she responded.
"I do." She choked out, his fingers clenched harder and he growled.
"Oi, yeah?" He urged, "Let's see shall we?" Tears ran down her cheeks, his grip loosening the slightest bit as he hunched down. His other hand lifted up the frilly edge of her thick skirts. "Let's see." His movements became furious, hand fighting through layers of her heavy skirts till he found what he was looking for. He found her bloomers, palm immediately cupping her womanhood and his torso pressed against her, dwarfing her completely and smothering her with his broad chest. Her head snapped back and she gasped, the heat undeniable at her core, bloomers wet at the apex of her thighs, and body betraying the vicious rage that swelled in her. "Fuckin' 'ell..." His voice was hoarse and thick in her ear. Before ever knowing about the crimes his very hands committed, she would have done anything to hear that voice every night against her sweaty skin. Now it only filled her with disgust and she wanted to cry, but the duality of her soul was that she was stubborn and didn't want to do anything that would appease him. If she cried he might like it and if she didn't he might like that too, and the conflict was ever so apparent when she bit her bottom lip and held back a whimper because he surely liked that. His fingers began to rub and mold her soft folds through layers of fabric and he cackled. "You should feel yo'self, little bird-Shit-" He licked the side of her cheek and she winced as his sand papery tongue left it's slime on her skin. "Yo'want me so bad. You've wanted me for such a long time haven'ya, poor lass. I shan't be the only one thinking of our night out on that deck, me' cock buried in your tight virgin cunt, pullin' sweet sounds from these pretty lips." And as if a wick lit off of a burning match, fast and brilliant, her entire body imploded on itself and she couldn't control the way she wracked up against the hand at her throat and pleasure burst behind her eyes. An uncontrollable moan escaped her lips, wanton and dry from the pit of her throat. "That's me' girl! Me' good lass! Right 'der, that's da' spot!" He removed his hand from her skirts and they fell at her feet, her legs shook like a quake and her hands grasped his muscly shoulders for stability. She hardly had any time to collect herself before his dampened fingers were breaching her lips, her taste thick on them with his own dirt ridden-natural flavor. She gagged as he shoved them in entirely, then with uncharacteristically sweet kisses along her cheek, his fingers were replaced by his lips.
She retaliated as best she could, as his tongue wrestled her own and the taste of him and her flooded together into a cocktail that nearly sent her over the edge again. He groaned, lips parting slightly to exhale a desperate wheeze, hands now resting at her waist and squeezing tight there to keep her in place. He was a heavy breather, through his nostrils, chest heaving, and there was a time she found that so undeniably pleasing, because it added to this edge and more proof that Drax had no inhibitions when it came to his habits. But now she hated it, she hated how loud he was-
He withdrew in a loud wince, teeth clenched, he hissed, head craning back from Maeve as if burned by fire. His fingers lifted to his full lips, the bottom one split and bleeding cheery fresh liquid. His forefinger and middle brushed against the crimson, his lip twitched in a sneer before he laughed, looking between Maeve and the blood that pooled on his appendage. She was glaring at him with all the ferocity she could bring, despite her appearance betraying her completely. She looked as disheveled as one could possibly be in this scenario. Her chest was flush, cheeks were flush, droplets of sweat dribbling off her brow, and her lips were plump and red as he too had awarded her with his gnawing sharp teeth.
"That how you want it'den, hmm?" The way he gently grappled onto her jaw this time made her uneasy, guiding her chin and lips where he wanted them. He invaded her space once more, until his lips were but a centimeter away, as if his eyes were tied to her violently blue ones by a string.
"I don't want any of it." She whispered, he licked his lips, the blood smearing from the action and as he removed his hand he gave her cheek a light slap.
She had nowhere near enough strength to fight him, his arms lifting her onto his shoulder.
"Please Drax! No! Not like this!" She cried out, weakly beating her fists at his back.
"Shut up, ya'hear? Don't want yur' father finding ya' with a cock down yur' throat, yeah?" He tossed her haphazardly onto the bed, catching his breath and then pacing back and forth as he admired her from afar. He shook his head, swiping a hand over his face. "Fuck' you're perfect, ya' get that', huh?" He chuckled to himself, pacing like that tiger Maeve saw at the zoo, back and forth, ready for a feast. "Yur' so fuckin' lucky men don't line up to taste this cunt. They'd bend ya' over and fill ya' good. Yur' pa' would charge ten shillings for ya', one go each." He stopped and snatched her ankles to yank her close to the edge of the bed and she whined in protest. Her palms rested against his chest, one on each pectoral and her brain was foggy with lust, but the rational side of her was yelling inside: keep fighting.
"You've done the most immoral and cruel acts. Please, understand. Please let me go." There was no reasoning with him, not with the force he used against her own outstretched limbs, till her elbows were bent and he was practically laying on top of her, faces leveled. She could feel his arousal then, the bulge jutting against her skirts, large and thick enough to feel it through many layers.
"No, I wouldn't allow it ya'see. You's belong to me, you's always have." He stood fully, hands then running down her legs and bunching her skirts back. Fingers caressed in reverse, leaving goosebumps behind. He delicately removed her matching slippers, letting them plop to the floor. Her toes curling next to his furry cheeks, his palms engulfing them, thumbs curving into the soles of them and massaging tenderly. "Yur' such a naive lil'thing. Thought that night I was' gon'have to take you in yur' cabin, but there ya'went invitin' me to the deck." Her bottom lip wobbled and she hid her embarrassed and hurt expression in her hands. "Such a good girl, aren't ya'? Neva' could'ave dreamed havin' ya'like this, me' darlin' girl." Her lips parted as she felt his scruffy lips press to her ankle. "So soft, like a seal pup, mi'n ta' defile and tek' as I please." He dragged her down closer if that was even possible, guiding her legs around his waist. He went silent as his hands ghosted along her body, caressing every curve and hungrily taking in all of her covered self. "Da' one thing I regret from that night is not gettin' to see all tha' was underneath, huh? De's damned clothes in me'way." She couldn't look, not when she felt something sharp and hard running down from the top of her bosom to the bottom of her corset. "I won't make da' same mistake dis' time." Her eyes bulged from her head, elbows propping her up when he sliced a blade down through layers and layers of her dress, the stitching parted to reveal silk nude skin beneath. With the knife clutched in one hand, he ripped at the fabrics until they were no more. It reminded her of the first time she watched him hack through seal skin in the distance and she almost vomited. "Fuck, look atya'!" He exclaimed, strands of hair coming undone from their sleekness, falling out before his eyes. Maeve crawled away, but he grabbed her ankle with his freehand and pulled her back with a click of his tongue. "Such a fuckin' cock tease." The blade was cold when it touched her skin and her back arched as a thin red cut was made just below her breast. Her nipples perked up, asking for attention where her inner self was in turmoil and begging to be swallowed up by the pits of hell. Anything was better than this, no matter how good it felt, no matter how amazing his calloused hands were, she cried to be given reprieve, to wake from this seemingly endless nightmare.
"Fuck you!" She yelled, in one last attempt at gaining some semblance of control, but her fighting came to an abrupt halt when the blade of the knife was dangerously close to her throat.
"I'll slice yur' throat and fuckya' till you go cold."
"P-Please. Don't." She mumbled, the tendons in her neck visible and tight with tension, collarbone defined, rising and falling with her breasts.
"The only thing I want leavin' yur' lips is me' name. Understood?" She slowly nodded, he tossed the knife to the side on the bed without a second to spare. She didn't care where it landed, too caught up with him hurriedly unbuckling his belt and discarding his white baggy shirt and getting as naked as he possibly could. He easily adjusted Maeve on the bed when he was good and ready. Fully understanding her predicament she sobbed silently to herself and allowed him to move her as he wished.
"Ya'know, I usually don't fuck me' whores from the front..." The both of them released a noise when his hairy thighs met with the back of hers. "But I make the exception for me' sweet lil'bird..." He hovered dominantly above her, one hand lining his solid dick with her folds. Her fingers curled into the bunched up sheets and ripped shreds of her dress, bracing for the unpleasant pressure. "I like to watch the fight leave yur' eyes, lass, because ya' belong to me and you's give yurself to me so willingly that it makes me' cock twitch and me' heart flutter, yeah?" She squeezed her eyes shut, his cock head pushing in inch by inch. Her hands had a mind of their own, grabbing anything and everything and soon landing on his hairy chest. His breath fanned out across her face as he exhaled heavily. "Fuck yur' so tight, lil'birdy-and wet-'so fuckin' wet..." His words trailed off into gibberish and then his pelvis was flush with hers and she yanked at his chest hairs. Unable to form a coherent thought, she began muttering prayers under her breath, thighs locking around his hips.
"Please, please, please, please, please."
"Yeah, that's it." He moved his hips and she was a goner. The mix between pressure and that all too enjoyable drag of spongey skin on skin and the fact that she could feel everything. She whimpered, head hitting hard back against the cot and there was a soreness that lingered from Drax's earlier stint with her and the wall. The tears running down her cheeks held no specific reason anymore, if it wasn't sadness, or frustration, or rage, it was insurmountable pleasure that made her toes curl and her body ache. "Open yur' eyes." She wasn't sure she heard him correctly and her mind was so muddied that it took her moments to realize he was speaking to her. "Ya'fuckin' bitch. Open." It wasn't said in anger, grunted out perhaps, his thumb then shoving back her eyelid and she got the idea then. She stared at Henry Drax like he was the sun, the first streams of light filtering in through the blinds in the morning. Her eyelids were droopy, sight blurred by lust and need and desire, body completely devoid of any fighting now. "Ye' become so cock dumb, fuck." That same thumb was shoved unceremoniously into her mouth and she sucked on it as she met his gaze. His hips were like a piston, cock splitting her tiny figure in half. "Good god!" He growled like a bear, then hunched closer, moving his hips harder and faster, panting and grunting with each thrust. Her hands held onto his strong biceps for dear life as her body gave way to him. He leant down and kissed her lips, returning her earlier favor and sinking his teeth into her bottom lip till blood burst on his tongue. She didn't think-she couldn't. His hand slithered between their bodies to find her special spot and her vision ebbed away as another earth shattering orgasm overcame her.
He growled rather loudly as his seed released into her, her cunt gripping his cock like a vice and he stopped his thrusting altogether to sit there in the warmth. Sweat coated their bodies, one hand propped beside her head and the other swishing her juices around her oversensitive clit. He grabbed her thighs then, massaging them and sitting back on his haunches with an exaggerated sigh. She rose to her senses fast as the high dissipated, lips parted slightly as she eyed him from below and tried to steady her heartbeat.
She sniffled, hands poised still on his arms, now having slid down to his wrists. His eyes traced her entire torso, then when he met her own, he moved down till his lips were grazing her collarbone. His tongue licked a path down, lips slurping a nipple in between his teeth. She cried again, fingers sifting through his hair and tugging. He tasted the smeared blood near her cut, practically drinking the liquid as if it were wine from the finest vineyard. He worked his way back up her body, cock still hard inside her, he kissed her chin and then her cheek and then her lips and she shuttered. Red marks, blood splotches followed everywhere, his puffy lips akin to bristly paintbrushes grazing along a blank canvas. She held him to her, no longer pushing him away, his lips touched down on her neck and she released one final gasp before he settled there. His beer belly rested against her own stomach, hairs tickling her, but she was too tired to fight anymore. He suffocated her with his heat and his weight, but she couldn't bring herself to do a thing because his lips felt so perfect against her and he felt so right above her. She allowed another sob, arms raveling around his neck and fingers digging into his scalp.
"I hate you." She whispered, he lifted his head to stare at her and hummed.
"To the contrary, ye' love me." She was disgusted with herself, and with him. His serious and stern brow flicked up at her in question. "In fact, ye' dream of bein' called Misses Drax, spendin' the remainder of yur' days wit' me' cock buried in ya' and me' seed growin' in yur'belly."
"You're the fucking devil, you'll never have me like that." He snorted, cupping her cheek and caressing the red skin there. He didn't believe her.
"And you are nothin' but a whore fer me' pleasure, while I am under yur' papa's roof. That's all." She closed her eyes, swallowing thickly. He felt a sharpness at his throat and when he awkwardly tilted his head down, he caught the glint of his knife. He shot up to his knees, smirking as he held his hands up in defense. His cock twitched inside her and she grimaced at the feeling. The point of the blade rested at his gut then and she oh so wanted to stab him for the devil that he was. "Go on, lass. You's was the one who's said you wasn't too fond of hurtin' others. Now yur' goin' to hurt me?" He licked his lips, tongue dragging across the curly hairs that poked out around his mouth. She shook violently, her hand vibrating as she held the knife to him. He wrapped his own hand around her wrist, steadying it for her. "If there's anyone I would let kill me, it'd be you. Ye'd be the only one to get a free chance, lass, so use it wisely." She blinked, her free hand wiping away a waterfall of wet salty tears.
She couldn't kill him, the wretched man that he was. She couldn't. And it made her hate herself even more. After a few beats, he pushed the knife down, till her knuckles rested beside her head.
"Now ye' can't hurt me, no ye' can't. Because ye'love me, lass. Because this world wouldn't be much good fur'ya wit'out Henry Drax in it. S'that it?" He dragged his hips back, thrusting in gently. She closed her eyes and turned her head away. "Naw'no ye' don't..." He forced her head back, aggressively wiping fresh tears away. He closed the distance between them, mouthing and tonguing at the salty droplets. "I want ye' to say it."
"No." She cried.
"Yes." He grunted back, "Say that ye' love me. Say it like ye' said it on the Volunteer. Tell me." Her jaw clenched, as she turned her head back, their noses brushed, he was staring deeply into her eyes when her eyelids fluttered open.
"I love you." She uttered, shame swelling in her like an infected wound.
"Good girl," He grinned evilly, smug as he made another thrust that curled her toes, cock still hard and her body still aching for more. "Ye' belong to me and such a worser man I'd be to not give ye' what you be wantin' so badly." He kissed her cheek and she bit her lip in disgust. "T'make yer'dreams come true, lil'bird. Hmm? Would ye'like that? Make me a richer man for it too."
"Go-" Her fingers defeatedly uncurled from the knife, cupping his jaw, she met his gaze. "Go fuck yourself, Henry Drax."
He was so close, she could feel the laughter that bubbled out of him. It shook her body whole, like his cock.
Oh, to love life's cursed dangers.

Been thinking about my AUs and realizing I never posted any notes about them. So they're either going to be lost in the void that is my mind or I wont be able to explain it well.
So. Here are some things:
Because Sonic and Sally had kids in the Archie comics, it might be that Sonic is male. But nowadays the promotional art seems to imply him to be trans (and with Surge being female... Yeah.) Do! Id likr yo make the headcanon: Archie Sonic and all his counterparts (scourge. Zonic. Etc etc etc) are cis male. IDW sonic however is trans male.
But this au I'll be combining a. LOT. Of things. So all of those Sonics will become trans male.
And speaking of other versions of characters... In No Zone we were shown Zonics coworkers, Zespio and Zector... Which leads me to wonder what the anti Espio and Anti Vector would be. Anti Espio wouldbmost likely come from a ninja clan that focuses more on assassination than Intel. And Anti Vector woukd most likely be... Well, one thing comes to mind. Piercings. Just... Leather and spike wearing punk. Theyd probably kidnapped the prince Charmy but he was so young that his wasp like kingdom would have been possibly wiped out due to threats (maybe Anto Jules tried to wipe out the people who didn't accept hid "peaceful ways" and hired people to cause "accidents) anyway. The anti Chaotix were formed once the two older Moebians witnessed anti charmy trying to copy their violent habits like trying to drink somrthing near Anti Vector.... He was then adopted! After all, they couldnt get their ransom money from a civilization wiped out.
We also got characters in the Anti verse that we havent seen Zone cops of. Like Rosy/Amy and that Skunk backstabber MgGee. The latter one was probably known for doing his job effectively... Even if he was a twisted cop. Zamy tho? .... I can kinda see Zonic and her half joke-flirting because she is the ONLY organized person on the team. She admires Zonic but in much more of a respecting superior worker way. Their characters seem far more professional. As for Alicia/Sally... Zally i can kinda see as one of those captains that look over the elite Zone Cops. And, again, their relationship with Zonic is purely platonic. There is no room for romance for them. (Which leads me to wonder how anyone is birthed... The heckin?) I haven't researched enough about the Freedom Fighters to give everyone Zone Cop counterparts.

TALES OF THE BEAR-HEART: SOMA
CHAPTER II.
Battling Hearts
The soft crackling sound of fireflames embracing hardwood woke me up tenderly. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Revna sitting by the fire sharpening her dagger, preparing for the battle ahead of us. Her raven-black long hair was braided at the sides and neatly It must have been around dawn, but it was still pitch-black outside. Busy voices surrounded us, swords clinked, horses were running up and down impatiently, some people shouted over to the other with instructions. Valka's magical sleep potion put me so well to sleep, that I was surprised at myself how late I could join onboard the ship towards the brewing sea of bloodshed. I had to pull myself together and that only worked with some ice-cold river water and some excercise.
'Good morning Revna'-I greeted my warrior as I swiftly sat up and put on my stone-hard armor.
'To you as well.'-she wiked at me playfully and lifted up the pair of the iconic hammers fixating them on her sides. ' Now you slept well for sure, how is that you sleep the soundest when battle is so near?-she laughed a little and took a sip of water from the table.
'Valka's hand in that.-I raised my brows slightly. 'Sorry, I didn't plan to start like this Revna. I have to go now and freshen up. Shall we meet at the entrance of the longhouse?'
'You're such a womanizer you know that right?'-she held up her tusk. ' Valka is a fine woman, I am happy for you now. I will meet you there nevertheless.'
'Ha!..You're absolutely misunderstanding, but I have to rush now.'- After this conversation, the fine shilouette of Valka's back flashed through my mind from last night. I quickly stepped into reality once I was out of my hut. The Raven warriors painted their faces with red and white strokes, most of them were saddling the horses.
I hurried to the shores of the river nearby, finally allowing my flaming skin to meet with the freezing waves of water. I gathered some liquid in my palms so that I could splash it onto my face over and over again. It felt like a hit on my cheeks that put me into the right battling spirits, and imagining Randvi's head on the enemy's helped a lot also.
I did some stretching and sprinting in the shores, while sloppy waves embraced the land. I was sharpening my axe and asked for Thor's strength and blessing, when I heard cat-like footsteps from behind approaching me.
'Your blade is already sharp enough, Bear-heart'-said Valka smirking, while she walked up to me.
'I could cut down a village with it yes. I guess it's just my ritual before I actually do it.'
'I bought you some food, here, some died figs with bread and a slice of boar meat from last night.'- she kindly handed over the plate.
'Thank you Valka, the gods bless your kind spirit. This will help me to do my best today. For Ravensthorpe..and Eivor.' While I started eating quickly, we sat by the shore and Valka carried on.'
'Soma, you have to remember, whatever happens today, you can count on me, you know where to find me. I saw into your soul last night and found loneliness there. But you are not so alone.' -she stroked my arm then stood up and disappeared in the crowd of warriors.
I was startled a bit, the last piece of bread almost choked me. Was that a friendly invite to her hut? I mean, private hut? I guess she needs cleaning there if you know what I mean. Who would have thought.
***
When I rode to the longhouse, a massive crowd of warriors have gathered in front of the building. The golden locks of Eivor showed up with that deadly, stern smirk on her face. She was riding a snow-white mare with her armor glistening in the awakening morning sunrays. A huge hunnish bow spread on her broad back and two axes were fixated on her sides, one can never be so sure with just one, right? Randvi followed her closely, rumour has it that she is going in battle after long years spent in the map room. I was curious how she would perform outside these walls. Revna joined me swiftly and we quickly caught up with Eivor and other leaders riding in the front.
As if she sensed my closeness, the wolf-kissed greeted me with a wide smile.
'Morning Soma, I hope you are ready to spill some blood today with me.'
How could she know I was ready to do anything with her, my eyes wandered on those rosy lips talking to me. She looked stunning with freshly dried warpaint framing her ocean eyes.
'I will smash skulls today, as my father taught me'I assured her. ' You don't want to make it a contest, I am the champion in this.'
'We'll see, I will beat your ass.' Eivor uttering those words brought me to the depts of my wildest fantasies for a moment. Holy mother of.. A shiver went through my spine as I actually pictured this. 'Okay, whoever wins this beheading game will pay for the best ale in land for a week.'
'That's a deal, officially.'-Eivor agreed playfully.
As we left Ravensthorpe Randvi joined us to briefly go through our plans , and of course to keep an eye on her drengr.
'Hi Soma..I hope you haven't lacked the care and wealth of Ravensthorpe.'
'Thanks Randvi, I had everything I needed' except for Eivor in my bed last night, but I guess that's the VIP package. It’s good I didn’t say this out loud.
'Good. Now our plans are the following. Eivor and you will hide in the thick bushes of the main road on both sides with our archers. When Birna's army is well inside the trap, Eivor will sign you with her horn, then both of your teams will fire and wipe out as many as you can. I will wait for Eivor's horn and join with a group on horsebacks to push them back towards the hills where their camp is. We'll follow them and burn it down to force them out of mainland.
Cheolbert's army will be only used if necessary. They are stationed on the right side of the forest.'
'Smart plan Randvi, I am sure we can protect our people, which is the most important aim, I feel honoured to be here today and lead this army' -Eivor answered then we positioned our forces in the thick undergrowth of the main road. Some archers even hid high on the old oak trees to have a nice and deadly view on the road. Our eyes met with Eivor and I was once again stunned by those piercing blue eyes, radiating godlike power and trust in me. She made me weak with one stern look, this feeling was brand new for me..Soma trembling like a leaf in the autumn breeze? My eyes wandered lower, on Eivor’s bulging arms holding those big, heavy axes.
Revna positioned herself right beside me like a protective bastian ready to spill blood, her hands firmly gripping the two hammers.
’They will eat my hammer for breakfast.’-she whispered to me, keeping her voice down.
A medium group of soldiers were nearing our forces, all of them on horseback.
They were led by a young woman with blood red hair, riding on a pitch-black horse. Just before Eivor could use her horn to give the sign for us to attack them, the enemy started throwing flaming throving balls into the thick and completely dry undergrowth that caught on fire in no time. They knew exactly where we were hiding, forcing us to be distracted for a second and be stunned by their unexpected moves. Revna quickly brought me back to reality with her loud roar she jumped out of the bushes and ranted at our enemy. As if she were a deadly panther, she pulled a man down from his straddle , threw him on the ground finally smashing his face on both sides with her double hammers. What left off that head was forming an unrecognizable mixture of broken bones and flesh.
I joined her swiftly and shouted at all of my men:'Don't just stare, cut all of the bastards down and burn their flesh!' The archers could perform a swift attack from above before the flames got to the upper branches, then joined us from behind our shield wall Eivor was forming with the Ravens.
I quickly got on my horse and joined at the side of Revna, who was sandwiched between two twin shieldmaidens fighting with swords. Just before the bigger one could plunge her longsword into Revna's spine, I trapped her with my axe, agressively pulled her body to mine from behind holding her still for a moment shouting in her face: 'I will burn your whole village for this.' -then I slit her throat and pushed the body down to the dust. My face became sprayed with fresh blood, and I could see Revna kept herself busy, the other one joined her sister in death.
-Thanks Soma, I am glad you have my back, literally -Revna shouted at me with ave.
-I am never late, you know me.-I winked at her assuringly. -someone betrayed us Revna..we have to find that son of a bitch. -I shouted back while I saw a huge man charging at me with a poisoned axe.
-You will die bitch-his deep growl ecoed in my ears as I prepared for defense. I thought I would end him with my wit instead of my valuable strength, I slipped between his legs and cut right into his balls leaving him a suffering mess falling on his knees, and finally collapsing in the bloody pond forming underneath.
-Not today, bastard.-I stated. While we fought our way a little further with Revna I quickly looked behind my back to see how Eivor was holding up. Then I saw the blood-haired war-chief woman charging on her horse at full speed towards the wolf-kissed, she wanted to end Eivor. Her plan was to cut the head of the snake, I saw her green eyes burning with ambition, fury and wrath, she jumped off of her horse slamming Eivor to the ground. Unfortunately, the charging horse killed several men around Eivor failing to hold the shield wall.
I felt my heart beating in my throat , as both Eivor and that killer bitch disappeared from my sight behind the crowd of clashing soldiers.
-Revna, you have to hold this mess, I will be back!-I gave my clear orders to my right hand , and with that I ran into Eivor’s direction as if there was no tomorrow. Many men tried to stop me on my way, but I cut them all, roaring like a beast, both of my arms were drenched in blood. The inner bear has awoken. I saw Randvi charging on her horse towards the same spot, my worry mirrored in her desperate eyes. She fought like an amazon, a tiger let out of her cage , she was never really tamed behind that map table after all. I must admit she fought fiercely. Her long copper braid was dancing around in circles as she slain anyone who got near her. Unexpectedly, her horse got an arrow in the front leg, causing Randvi to fell foward harshly, she was flying several meters from the saddle. The killer-witch had supporter archers at the top of a nearby rock, they were backing their leader and her evil plans.
I didn't have time to care for Randvi, I slammed into the shield wall to see what was happening with Eivor behind it.
The blood-witch was strangling Eivor with her strong arm, Eivor had deep cuts on her own arms and her side. Fuck.. she really didn't see it coming.. oh that fucking bitch ! Eivor wanted to kick her in the face but her legs were entangled in strong hold by that serpent. She fought differently, wrestled her enemy, held the body in position to slowly end it with deadly cuts. I couldn't let her finish her work..my heart would break in two for an eternity..
I grabbed her hair pulling her upwards, while I watched her cry out from the pain.
-Hey, you blood whore, don't you dare to move or I will cut your pretty head off. Eivor broke free swiftly, but instinctively put her right hand on her ribs. I saw a considerable blood stain growing there, which felt like a punch in my stomach. It seemed I actually got one, as the redhead tried to break away. Just before I could end her, I felt a powerful but blunt hit on my back, an arrow's burning head fought it's way into my flesh. I instantly fell on my knees then I started to crawl on the ground ghasping the dust.
Eivor didn't give a fuck about her serious wound on her side she ran towards that sly whore to avenge this mess. Randvi arrived just in time her huge smash with her shield put the escaping rat onto the ground. The blood-witch was cornered and there was no way out. My sight became blurry and I wanted to vomit from the pain that radiated into my chest and my back.
'Tie this one up quickly, we'll inerrogate her at Ravensthorpe. Randvi instructed two soldiers. -Oh God..Eivor you're bleeding-she mumbled with care as she stepped to the wolf-kissed, her eyes wandered on the huge blood stain. Randvi's bottom lip was craked and bleeding, probably from a huge stroke.
'I am fine Randvi, bring our forces left to safety, we have to retreat, now' Eivor's raspy voice echoed, turning to Randvi. 'I can only thank my life to Soma' Eivor hurried to me while Randvi called a retreat to Ravensthorpe, we could defend the way from the woods but it was clearly a trap. Somebody gave valuable information to the enemy, Birna and Ivarr could attack any moment. Both sides lost countless men, the woods was in flames around us.
'My poor bird..' Eivor whispered calmly, holding me in her arms in a second sitting on her knees on the ground. She turned my body really slowly to spare me from the additional pain, I could have screamed out loud in my despair, but I couldn't show the slightest sign of weakness while she was around me.
'I m have to get this out now' she said apologetically, furrowing her brows.
I couldn't speak as I felt my power leaving me, I was close to fainting, so I just nodded and let myself concentrate on those strong arms being folded around me. This was the closest Eivor ever got to me.. my heart was burning and beating fast both from the trauma I endured and the excitement that was ruling over me inside.
'I will be as quick and gentle as possible'Eivor promised with a light smile.
I held onto her arm and mumbled a few words:'Just do it, please..' I closed my eyes knowing what will come.
Eivor clearly had pratice in this, as she firmly held onto the arrow, turned it slightly in my flesh, then pulled it out with a powerful move.
It felt as if a burning blade was turned inside me ripping out my flesh. The pain was undescribable with words, I cried out, my eyes became blurry with tears.
'Fucking GOD' I shouted.
'The worst is over Soma, I promise. I can thank my life to you, so I am in your debt, I will help you through this and bring you to Valka.' Eivor lifted me up, placed one of my arms around her neck and holding my weight with her arms below my knees. ' 'I got you now -she gently stroked my arm and carried me to her horse, we headed back to Ravensthorpe with our forces left , following Randvi's soldiers.
As we rode along those old oak trees I could feel the sweet scent of Eivor's skin around her collarbone as I laid my head on her broad chest. Small sweatdrops were glistening on her perfect face while her ice-blue eyes stayed focused on the road, I could watch this living statue of perfection all day.
Spring breeze played on my cheeks while I closed my eyes to just feel the bumps and turns of the road.
I couldn't get a peaceful monent as my thoughts caused me an inner turmoil. Where the hell was Revna? Did she join to Randvi and her forces? How am I supposed to fight like this? The hardest part of this battle is still ahead of us..I came here to defend Ravensthorpe, not to behave like a whining child. And who was that blood-haired shieldmaiden?

Pumpkins, Scares and Laughs - Prologue
Ah yes, the event I had been anticipating for a long period of time, finally arrived in Vesuvia.
It is such a pleasure to see the fruits of our hardworking farmers finally blossoming and spreading their lively colours all over our beloved city. Also, the autumnal colours of red, orange and yellow adorning Vesuvia like an pulchritudinous abstract painting for the citizens and also for the ones visiting from the other corners of the world.
Today, all the people of Vesuvia will come out of their houses to praise the conscientious farmers and their unique art of agriculture, to engulf the arrival of the beautiful autumn season, and to also acknowledge the spirit of halloween, one of my favourite festivals where you can be evil and scare everyone mercilessly with your smooky get-ups. Now that's something I really like.
"Winnie!! Look!! We are finally here!" The soft bluenette lady shook my shoulder. I took her gesture and closed the book I was reading and looked outside. Vesuvia was looking so pretty with the warm colours of the season that it almost felt unreal. It also took my breath away for a second.
This blue lady was actually a guest from the other side of the world as my roommate on the ship. She had long turquoise blue hair and soft big purple eyes, her skin was fair and her lips always turned upwards into a bonny smile. And just like her smile, her nature was goofy and giggly. She loved to make jokes and was not afraid to boop others' noses as she had done it million times to me.
I didn't really mind that. I found it pretty cute and attracting actually, maybe because she was just like Dad. Or maybe because I secretly enjoyed having such cheery people around me, reminding me always that there is always a bright side to look for and laugh at. And I was really grateful for such persons.
"It's beautiful~!!" I spoke with amazement as I peered out the window from my bed.
"I know right?? It's amazing! I can't wait to meet Lucio and others! I bet he would be looking soooooo handsome today" The girl sighed dreamily as she cupped her rosy cheek and closing her eyes.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled. When I first time met her, I didn't know that she was acquainted with Lucio and my other friends. But when I told her that I too was his close one, she was so overjoyed that she almost crushed me to death afterwards with the hug of hers. I then got to know that she was really attracted to Lucio and had the tendency of blabbering about him all day long. Even when it was bedtime and everyone in the ship was sound asleep, she kept me awake with her fond thoughts of Lucio yesterday.
Again I didn't mind that. Even I too liked him. He had been through a lot of neglect that I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Instead of being jealous as to why others loved him romantically, I was actually happy for him because he was finally getting the love he truly deserved. Even if people didn't think like that (for example, Asshole-ra), I gave no fucks, as rightly so.
"Say, Winnie. Aren't you excited to see Lucio too??" Elteami asked me as she tucked one of her strands of hair behind her ear.
"Me? Well, yes of course. It has been quite a while since I have seen of him last time. Asra always wrote in his letters that Lucio missed me a lot" I replied to her, twirling one of the strands of my hair around my finger.
"Oh, obviously he would. You are his best friend! I mean, he was the one who gave 'Winnie' as your nickname, right?" She asked more.
"He sure did. And it's the only nickname I can tolerate, apparently" I stated. And honestly speaking, I still remember the time when he first time called me that, when I returned to Vesuvia after 15 years, that is.
When I resurrected him back after my fight with Asra at the Lazaret, Lucio was the one who calmed me down from the anxiety of the messy situation Asra had created upon himself. With his loving words and affectionate touches, I had forgotten about the angst with Asra in a jiffy! He somehow possesses that magic in him which melts me, not to mention the journey with him was equally magical and romantic.
But I really don't want to dwell in the past as of now, even if it's the sweeter ones. Today is the day of celebration of success and gratefulness, and I shall focus on that only. So no more previous flashbacks, no more deep thinking. Just pumpkins, scares and laughs.
"Come on Winnie, stop daydreaming again. The ship finally stopped. Let's go!!" Elteami took me by my hand and dragged me out with my bag and book.
"E-Elteami! Slow down! I might stumble" I stuttered upon my words as she continued to pull me down the ship. The cool wind blew through my hair and the short skirt and sleeves of my black dress, goosebumps forming on my legs under the dark stockings.
After we were off the ship and standing on the docks, Elteami let go of my hand as she panted from the runs, supporting her body with her hands on her knees while I patiently waited for her to regain her breath. And once she was done, she turned into herself again.
"Phew! That was one good exercise!" Elteami stretched her arms and her body, the wind blowing her long turquoise blue hair slowly. I gave her a small smile before I brushed the strands of my hair behind ear.
"Gosh, just look at Vesuvia. So much yellow and orange everywhere!" She exclaimed as she observed the golden yellow crisp leaves and the bright houses. All of the people seemed very happy today and they had new clothes on which complimented with the colours of the Autumn.
"Hmmmm....the wind is really cool and nice too. It's tingling me. I can already feel that today is going to be one nice day" Elteami shivered and rubbed her limbs to warm them up, an enjoying smile on her face. I nodded and closed my eyes too as I felt the wind kissing me, greeting me once again a welcome back.
The air was really smelling quite fresh today. Not that I was implying that it's usually disgusting but, this time it had that specific aroma with it that I couldn't really figure, but for sure added the enthusiasm of celebrating the first-ever harvest festival of Vesuvia in me, and I was pretty eager to meet my friends and greet them with pleasant wishes and the gifts I brought for each of them from my village.
Yes, I was not during the preparations of the festival because I had some business at my village which was crucial for me to attend. However, Asra as usual kept me updated with all the events going on through his lovely letters and cutesy charms. I do really owe him a kiss according to one of his infamous horny letters. I have no problem with it of course, I just hope Dad doesn't mind.
........Oh.......and talking about Dad...................
"Oh my god, Wynne! Look at that big guy with blue hair! He is sooooooo hot!! I bet he has had many girls liking him!" Elteami tugged on my sleeve and pointed out to the man she was referring to. The man was yawning and scratching his head. He must had been woken up right now it seemed, because of how his eyes were still droopy and how his hair was a bit messy.
Nevertheless, my face scrunched up from disgust and cringe as soon as I laid my eyes on him. It was not that he was ugly. He was really attractive, to be frank but, did she even know whom she was talking about? Or how old he was from her even though he looked like he was in his late 20s?? Or that he has an adult daughter who was standing right in beside her??
"What's wrong Wynne? Don't you like him??" Elteami asked me curiously, being totally unaware of the fact that the man was someone I knew........too much about, to be honest.
"E-Err, I-I......Well......" I started, already stammering due to the already big tension forming between us that I could feel it down my throat.
"Yes??" She replied and tilted her head, letting go of my sleeve. She looked at me inquisitively.
"I-I don't think you know this but....... Remember how I told you that my father was aboard with us too??" My neck heated up and I averted my eyes down.
"Now that you have mentioned it, I think you did tell me about it" Elteami rubbed her chin and pondered.
I sighed and poured myself some lemonade I brought in the portable cup I had in my bag and drank from it during the meantime as I wanted for her to respond. And much to my satisfaction, she perked up soon and slammed her fist down on her palm.
"Oh yes! Your father! I remember now! You did mention him to me. So what about him? Where is he now?" She asked me.
Now this was the part that got me twisted. But I had no choice other than to tell her. I cannot let this thing get misunderstood, you know.
"T-That blue guy........he is my father......"
"WHAT?!!" Elteami looked at me with utter shock, her eyes widening and staring right at me. I got back from her a bit as I held the cup in my hands tightly.
"You mean that huge smouldering man is your father???" She bumped her forehead against mine and stared right into my eyes.
I sipped the lemonade from my cup quite loudly and nodded, locking my eyes with hers nervously.
Elteami backed up, her expression that of speechlessness and dumbfounded. It was as if she had witnessed something quite hysterical that it was enough to make her eyes torn as wide as toenails.
Now what was she going to do? Was she going to puke? Or was she going to pass out? Or what she going to jump into the waters? Or even worse...............
And turns out the last option was correct.
Because oh gods, her reply was enough to almost send me to the afterlife.
"OH MY GOD WYNNE, YOUR FATHER IS SO HOT!!!"
I literally spewed out some and choked onto my lemonade as its souring tangyness proceeded to burn my throat. I coughed violently and punched my ribs to get the feeling out, while Elteami did not care about me getting strangled to death by the fucking lemonade.
Her eyes sparkled stars as she turned to my father and admired him from afar. The way how he ran his fingers through his long blue hair, the way his buff arms were flexing with each movement, or the way his brown eyes shined brightly amongst the pleasant scene near the docks, she seemed to love everything of Dad and I wasn't liking this at all.
I mean, come on. He was my father, and Elteami is my friend. AND HIM AND HER BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP IS SOMETHING I WOULD NOT TOLERATE AT ALL!!! BECAUSE THIS IS DISASTROUS AND UTTER BIZARRE. THAT WOULD BE FUCKING,
~OH KUMBAYA MY LORD. HAVE MERCY ON ME FOR I HAVE SINNED🍆꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱~
"Oh my gosh, just look at him!! You are so lucky to have such an attractive man as your father, Wynne. I can see where you got your looks from. Just so flipping perfect and GORGEOUS~!!" Elteami literally growled at the last word like a hungry beast as she cupped her face with her hands. Her cheeks were toned pink as blossoms.
When the obnoxious blazing finally calmed down in my oesophagus, I breathed in long, loud and sharp that I almost felt my eyes rolling back and my soul trying to escape from my mouth. But it did help me regain my composure as I straightened my back and wiped my mouth with my pocket handkerchief next.
"Elteami, don't. He is way older than you, and he has peanuts for brains. You wouldn't want to fall for an idiotic old man like him. Trust me" I crossed my arms as I shook my head disapprovingly and completed the lemonade in my hands properly, without letting it kill me and also asserting my dominance on it.
"Oh come on Wynne. It's just a crush! Not love or something. I just find him handsome. Is it wrong to even think so??" She blinked at me innocently, closing towards me again.
I gulped the last sip of lemonade in my throat carefully as I opened my mouth to answer.
"But still, he is my fucking father. And you are my companion. You cannot have a crush on him. That would be absolutely ridiculous!! Him being an old man with no goals and you who is young, pretty and have so much ahead of you. It's not at all lovely. Now you better take my advice and don't waste your precious lifetime over that guy" I explained to her coldly.
"Jeez Wynne. You do take things too seriously" Elteami rolled her eyes at me, mockery evident.
"Excuse me? I am saying this for your betterment. Take it or leave it 💢" I gritted my teeth and sipped my drink, my nails digging onto the container's surface.
"Yeah Yeah, fine. I won't fawn over your daddy too much. Alright, Ms. Possessive?" She mocked me further.
I sighed and finished my lemonade, keeping the cup inside again after cleaning the inside it with a tissue.
"Fair enough by me" I agreed later, not wanting to complicate the situation more. Ugh, I can't believe that I had to contempt my father just to avoid Elteami courting him. Not that I have not done this multiple times before. But let's not talk about it. Today is not the day to discuss about this. I would touch onto this topic later on if people are interested.
"Now there you are, baby girl" the blue-haired finally approached both of us. With a bright grin on his face which seemed to lighten the previous tension present minutes ago in the air, easing Elteami and almost, me too.
Elteami tried not to smile and squeal as she gazed at me from side while I just rolled my eyes and groaned silently. But still, I didn't show my annoyance on my face as I replied.
"Took you long enough, Dad" I peered sharply at him as I placed my dominant hand on my hip.
"Sorry. I was looking around a bit. It has been a while since I visited Vesuvia you know" Dad rubbed his neck.
By looking around, he meant hunting for the ladies of course. Such a fuckboy he is.
"And oh my, may I ask who this lovely lady with you is?" Dad talked about Elteami as he took hold of her hand gently and rubbed her knuckles with his thumb, much to my fear and anxiety.
This time, Elteami couldn't hold herself, as she squealed so shrill and loud that it boomed my eardrums as I winced. But Dad on the other hand, just chuckled and complimented her.
"You are one cute young woman. Tell me, what's your name? Your full name is preferred" His eyes were softly looking at her and he had a pleasant smile.
"Oh my gods! I-I mean, I-It's Elteami. Elteami Tapputi" The bluenette blushed and bit her lip, looking down at her shoes.
"Such an exotic and beautiful name for an equally beautiful woman" Dad kissed her hand delicately and it turned the girl more blushy than before while I tried not to cringe and choke on air this time.
"O-Ohh my. I....Thank you so much mister...."
"Shah Toprak, but call me Shah. I am open to nicknames of course, so call me whatever you like, My Dear" he winked at her flirtfully.
As expected, Dad's playful light seduction had been casted upon Elteami very easily, because the lady turned red and flustered to maximum. She was squeaking and mumbling something about dominance and pegging which I couldn't really understand, but I didn't slam my brain on it too much.
"And I see you are acquainted to my loveliest darling. How wonderful" Dad next looked at me and I rolled my eyes, averting from him.
"Oh yes of course! Your daughter is one nice girl. She is not really as fun as I prefer people to be but, I like her!"
I could feel the delight in her voice that it brightened a tiny smile on my lips. At least something good came out of Elteami.
"I know. She is the best" Dad spoke.
This made me smile even more. Damn these two 🍋🍋.
But anyways, Dad not letting go of her hand, offered her next if she would walk with him to where she and I were heading to next, and as I had already assumed, Elteami gladly agreed with a vigorous nod.
"Perfect! Let's go then. I am really excited to meet the count and everyone else!" Dad laughed and Elteami giggled with him too as they both started to make their way towards. I just followed behind them with my little possessions clinging onto my shoulders as I listened to their conversations and also paid attention to the festive commotion around me silently.
There were men who were setting up the decorum, women baking warm delicacies, children running around collecting shiny leaves and couples, both young and elderly, holding each other close and being in one another's peace along the balmy nature. This put yet another small smile on my face. Gosh, I was really working out my cheek muscles today, wasn't I? I mean, why wouldn't I?
This festival is something which is close to me. Though this was its first time taking place, the happiness and joy radiating from the city and its people is truly heart-warming. It's like the only source of heat when you are stuck in the blizzards of stress and busy times. It's a break from all of the hardwork and sweating to enjoy its sweet corollary. Just looking at the rainbow harvests of your crops and to realise how much we are blessed to have the grace of the world and the sun for providing us such a golden opportunity of witnessing the victory is a feeling which just swells your heart with pride and satisfaction.
And how do I know all of this? Well, being an educated farmer has its perks, you see.
Nevertheless, a crisp cool wind blew which carried the scent of sweet apples and fried dough towards the three of us. As written by Asra, the last few weeks had been a hectic whirlwind of activity, but of course with everyone's help, it was done.
The very first Vesuvian Harvest Festival was officially in full swing!🍋🍋🎃
Now it was officially time to kick back, relax and enjoy the fruits of our labours.

After Every Trial | a Hyena Fanfiction
The sun is setting. Geum Ja was about to get in her car but she got a text so she read it first. It was from Hee Jae.
"Hey, Hye Sun unnie invited me for dinner with brother and father. Call me if you need anything."
"Hye Sun unnie? That arrogant woman?"
Geum Ja had a meeting with a witness. It's a witness for another lawsuit they're working on. She was exhausted because of that but she felt her adrenaline rushing when she read Hee Jae's text. She thought of replying but she did not. Instead of calling or texting Hee Jae back, she went back to Choong.
When Geum Ja arrived at Choong Law Firm, Ji Eun and Atty. Na was just about to leave. Geum Ja looked at Ji Eun suspiciously.
"No, Atty. Jung, we will just have dinner together because there's no one here but us." Ji Eun said defensively. Atty. Na beside Ji Eun was noddding with every word of Ji Eun.
Geum Ja's face softens then she sighed. She sat on her couch, she closed her eyes.
"Ah, Atty. Yoon left for early dinner with his family and Ms. Kim Hye Sun." Ji Eun said. Geum Ja lazily opened her eyes then looked at Ji Eun.
"Yes, that arrogant woman who came couple of days ago." Ji Eun said even though Geum Ja never asked. It was alwyas that way, Ji Eun reporting to Geum Ja even when she didn't ask.
"I'm tired." Geum Ja uttered then rolled her eyes.
"You probably had a tough day dealing with that witness. All right, we'll let you rest. Atty. Yoon will probably spend the night in his parent's house. Who knows that woman will also be there with him." These are the words of Ji Eun that made Geum Ja straighten up her sit. Geum Ja looked at Ji Eun angrily that made Ji Eun bow.
"I'm sorry, we'll get going." Ji Eun said then pushed Atty. Na outside the office.
Geum Ja was left all alone again in that office. She looked around and she realizes, the office that was nothing but a place to sleep to her before, suddenly becomes meaningful. She didn't even care if she was alone in there before, but right now, it feels empty to her.
She grabbed her cellphone then looked at Hee Jae's text. She was about to type her text when her phone rang. It was Hee Jae.
She left out a sigh before answering.
"What?" She asked, she's trying hard not to sound excited.
"It's me. Are you home?" Hee Jae asked sweetly.
"You should enjoy your dinner. Don't worry about me." Geum Ja said. She's also trying hard not to smile because her exhaustion awhile ago disappeared upon hearing Hee Jae's voice. She can't admit that. Even to herself.
"Do you want to join us? I'll pick you up right now." Hee Jae said. He's in front of his father, brother and Kim Hye Sum but he doesn't care if they hear him say these things. He didn't even bother excusing himself while he talks to Geum Ja.
"Pick you up, my ass." Geum Ja scoffed then smirked.
"I'm serious right now. I'll introduce you to father formally." Hee Jae said with his serious voice.
"Forget it. I'll rest now." Geum Ja ended the call.
She smiled at the thought of Hee Jae wanting her to meet his family. He was always straightforward but these days, he's making her tremble. Not because of his straightforwardness but because Geum Ja is feeling differently.
A feeling she's been dismissing for a very long time. A feeling she can never admit because she think she lives in a different world.
Geum Ja changed to her tracksuit outfit. She's decided to buy soju and snacks because she wanted to forget whatever thoughts she's been having after talking to Hee Jae.
She was about to get in her car when she heard some honks. She was startled and pissed because that's the most annoying thing to her; car honks. She looked at the car angrily.
It was Hee Jae. But he's not driving, he's sitting on the passenger's seat. Kim Hye Sun was the one driving.
Geum Ja was really annoyed that she looked at Hee Jae with her sharp eyes. She rolled her eyes to Hee Jae then turned away. Until she heard Hee Jae's door closing.
"Where are you going?" Hee Jae approached Geum Ja before she could get inside.
"I'm going to get wasted." Geum Ja answered.
"Again? Don't you think you'll most likely become an alcoholic?" Hee Jae held Geum Ja's car door to stop her from leaving.
"Let's have a drink?" Out of nowhere, the bubble of Geum Ja and Hee Jae was popped because of Hye Sun. Hye Sun showed her 2 bottles of whisky to the two.
Geum Ja smirked. "I'll buy my soju first."
When Geum Ja returned with her 12 bottles of soju, she immediately gets two shot glass then sat in front of Hye Sun and Hee Jae.
"Hey, you. Let's have a head on with soju." Geum Ja told Hye Sun.
"Oh, I'm sorry, it's been a while since I last drank soju and--" Hye Sun was cut off from speaking when Geum Ja shove up to her face a shot of soju.
Hee Jae, on the other hand, was making faces to Geum Ja trying tl stop her from what she's doing. Geum Ja just smirked at him as her answer then she ignored him completely.
After 3 bottles of soju, Hye Sun passed out. Geum Ja is starting to get rosy cheeks because of the alcohol. She continuously took shot after another shot.
When she was about to shot again from her 6th bottle, Hee Jae gets her shot glass then took the shot.
"Is there something bothering you?" Hee Jae asked after taking the shot.
Geum Ja took the shot glass from him then took another shot. They were sharing their glasses and giving each other shots.
They had another shot, then another and another, until they're down to the 8th bottle. Their cheeks are now burning red and they're starting to get tipsy.
"Do you plan to drink all that?" Hee Jae asked, with his low voice.
"Why? You don't want to drink with me anymore?" Geum Ja asked then took another shot. She's now speaking slowly because lf the alcohol.
"I'd drink all of that with you." Hee Jae proudly answered.
Geum Ja scoffs, "You'd become alcoholic like me."
Hee Jae took another shot.
"I've told you before. Find a good woman who suits you. Marry and have kids." Geum Ja said then she grabbed the glass to Hee Jae's hand.
"This woman. You deserve this kind of woman. Not just someone." Geum Ja said while pointing her left hand to the drunk Hye Sun while her other hand is taking a shot.
"You guys would make a great couple. She's sophisticated and well educated. She's also rich and has a lot of connections." Geum Ja said. She looked at Hee Jae straight to his eyes then gave out a little smile.
Hee Jae smirked then he gets the glass from Geum Ja and took another shot. He didn't say anything.
"It's you I have feelings for. You know that." Hee Jae said while smiling faintly. This time, he didn't take another shot. He was thinking of enjoying the moment instead of getting drunk.
Geum Ja took a shot. It's the 9th bottle.
"You probably had a great time with her today. I saw it earlier when she was driving your car. You were smiling ear to ear." Geum Ja said after taking a shot. She sounded sarcastic. Hee Jae just smiled at her remark.
"Why are you smiling? Am I funny?" Geum Ja's brows furrowed while looking at Hee Jae.
"No, it's just amusing hearing you telling me things like this." Hee Jae answered. He just kept staring at Geum Ja and he never looked away since she came back from buying her soju. His eyes were glued to Geum Ja.
"Well.. I'll shut up." Geum Ja said then she took another shot. Hee Jae is still smiling, watching Geum Ja get drunk.
"But you know, you're really something else. You're..." Geum Ja didn't continue her sentence. She took a shot instead.
"What?" Hee Jae asked, smiling. Geum Ja stared at him for a minute then took a shot.
"I know I'm none other than Jung Geum Ja. But for some reason, I've never felt this way before.." This time, she couldn't finish her sentence. She took another shot.
"She's not my client." Hee Jae said, in his most reassuring voice. His face becomes serious when he noticed how Geum Ja is struggling to find the right words to say. He's now sober.
"I know that, too. But the fact that she's not your client, makes me more..." Again, she couldn't finish her sentence so she took another shot. Geum Ja left out a sigh.
Hee Jae grabs the glass from her hand then took a shot. They're on the 10th bottle.
"This is making me uncomfortable. I don't like it. This a first time" Geum Ja mumbles hoping he wouldn't hear. But little did she know, he's all ears on her and that all of his senses can feel everything about her. Hee Jae smiled.
"Just tell me what to do. I'll do whatever you want." Hee Jae said while looking intently at Geum Ja. Geum Ja looked away then she took a shot.
"Your family will love her." Geum Ja said while looking at the drunk woman.
"I love you." Hee Jae said. Geum Ja looked at him while he takes another shot.
Geum Ja can feel her blood running to her face as she looks at Hee Jae. They just stared at each other intensely.
"Can I kiss you?" Hee Jae asked her without looking away.
Geum Ja stood up, went to him, then gets on his lap. She cupped his face.
"You didn't have to ask." Geum Ja said closing the gap between them.
Geum Ja was about to remove Hee Jae's necktie when Kim Hye Sun's phone rang. The two didn't want to stop but the phone kept on ringing.
"Jeez, what the hell?" Geum Ja said out of frustration. She moves away from Hee Jae's lap. Hee Jae was smiling like crazy, while Geum Ja was pissed.
Hee Jae answered the call and it was from Hye Sun's mom. Hee Jae called a driver to take Hye Sun home. When he came back to the office, Geum Ja is already asleep. He just smiled then gave her a blanket.

I'm Not Over You // Ben Hardy x Reader (Part 8)
A/N: Ayoooo. Hey guys, here's part 8 and I'm so sorry if the previous chapters kind of frustrated you. I didn't really mean for it to but I hope you enjoy this one. I'll be posting 9 tomorrow or the day atfter. Thanks again for your feedbacks, y'all motivate me a lot ^^ ♥ (My Wi-Fi has prejudice against tumblr rn)
Summary: You had always loved Ben ever since you two met in university and became the best of friends. That feeling went out like a candle flame when the two of you parted ways until he re-entered your life...but this time with someone who has already occupied his heart.
Warnings: Angst, bois. ANGST (I cried like a sucker during one part I wrote 😔) mention of blood, yet again drinking, some speckles of fluff, and unnecessary dialogue if you look closely enough :^ I feel like a terrible writer today
WC: 4k I think?

"You look...beautiful." Ben's comment is indeed one thing to start the night. It's not like he's never told you that before–it's just the tone in which he has said it in is...different. A foreign tone never been released from his lips until you. You look up at him through your lashes, giving him a slanted smile accompanied by a bubbly chuckle. "Thanks. You smell nice too."
The corner of his eyes crinkle as his curving lips push them up. As expected, Rosy chimes in between you and Ben almost too quickly, the blurry speed in which she has arrived in making you gasp. "Excuse me, babe. You got interviewers on your tail and I- oh," her brows shoot up upon seeing you, seemingly haughty eyes flicking up and down your outfit in mild contempt.
"Surprised to see you here as well." The smile plastered on her face couldn't be any more forced than it is.
Girl, chill. Anti-aging soaps are not easy to manufacture these days. You begin holding your breath to prevent yourself from bursting into a fit from hearing that thought ring in your head. You shrug, garnering the guts to shift on your heightened stance and lean in an inch close.
"You're not the only one with a celebrity date."
You turn around too early to gauge her reaction, finally exhaling from holding your breath too long. You can finally conclude that she's had an effortless transition from being benign to far from being benign. The smoothest one-eighty you've ever witnessed. You remember her clearly being downright considerate of you the first time you met her yet now is a whole different story. You wonder if she was actually ever considerate.
As the boys and Lucy indulge in brief interviews, you stand behind the scenes and get the first-class chance of conversing with Brian. He's readily the coolest person in the house right now, bantering with you every once in three, fascinating topics. How fortunate are you to be in the spot a million Queen fans would die for but of course, you don't want to leave out Roger who - by a landslide - makes you wish you could wheeze and snort all you want if you weren't in a luxury event such as the Oscars. He seemed intimidating for you at first but as he joined in your talk with Brian, things escalated real quickly.
With the pre-ceremony interviews and the clinking of champagne glasses dampening, you begin hunting for your seats in the theatre.
Before you know it, you are informed that only a specific line of people are given exclusivity for the seats. And it shocks you that Joe, Allen, Ben and Gwilym are not given that card when in fact they were part of the very film that brought forth a new generation of fans. You shake your head disappointingly albeit contented that Rami, Lucy, Brian and Roger and their wives are part of the exclusivity.
Utterly determined to know the results - by Joe's 'sovereign' vote - the rest of you hang around in the waiting area, focusing on the ceremony rights shown on TV. Quietly sitting through the results, you all whoop and applaud at the mention of Bohemian Rhapsody obtaining three awards straight– your cheers amping up a notch as Rami brings home the 'Best Actor' award. Joe begins filming your reactions for Instagram, zooming into Gwilym, Ben and Allen's faces for most of the video. You throw your head back in laughter at how goofy the boys look; a bunch of men in their 30's bouncing up and down with one of them documenting the entire episode. At one point, Gwilym yanks as you in for a group hug, mercilessly crushing you in between their muscles– the disorienting experience now being something you wish you would never undergo again.
As Rami's thank you speech unfolds, you pay attention closely. The sentimentality of him lovingly thanking Lucy for being his anchor after dedicating his award to Freddie Mercury is just overwhelming and you wish you could tear up but your mascara would be waste. You're certain that made Brian and Roger emotional as well.
An hour after the ceremony, you all head down to the Vanity Fair after party in the same limo you had arrived in with every single person in the group eager to get the night progressing. Regardless of saying that these type of parties are not up to your speed, you try to get along with the evening and revel in what you know would be your last night with them. Sadly enough, Roger and Brian had to skip out on this with rough schedules on their hands. The moment they walked out of the place, they spent nearly half an hour congratulating the boys and having other celebrities congratulate them.
As you are seated across Ben and Rosy, you can't help but notice him acting a little distant from her. She's all nuzzled up against his arm and he is nowhere close to returning the favor. He's just...lost in thought, staring out the tinted window. It's still early to assume that in all the hours you were within a close range to them, Ben only ever acted aloof, giving her attention when the situation required it.
Perhaps a lover's tiff took place?
"Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing too." Mimicking your position, Joe calling you back to Earth makes you gasp a little. You close your eyes and look at your fingers blankly after recovering, sighing. "I think we should end all this pretending. It was simply a cop-out in the first place."
"I know," he whispers audibly enough for only you to hear, running his fingers through his fiery, red hair, "you should probably come clean soon enough before you leave."
And that you will. At least, you'll try.
In your defense, you thought the after party would host a fancy banquet but seated around with celebratory drinks -considerable with something classy - and attendees breaking down on the dance floor is a rather okay scene as well. As long as you don't end up like the night you were invited out for a drink with your colleagues, you should be fine for the most part.
The boys and Lucy have fully immersed themselves in the beat of the music while you've decided to remain stationary with one glass of wine, the only glass you'll be having for the rest of the party.
The entire time you gawk at them amusingly as they break out their dance moves, your eyes always find their way to Ben, who makes you snort painfully from all his antics as he moves along with Joe. They're a mess with their ties and buttons undone from all the movement and the sight inspires you to stay put.
But oh dear lord, can Ben dance like an uncle.
Keeping your attention on them, a descending weight sinks down next to you. You pay no mind to whoever it is but do as her voice interrupts your thoughts. "I hope your eye is on the right person, honey." You click your tongue in exasperation, turning your body towards Rosy and her developing, bitchy tendencies, scoffing as you place your drink down to set things straight with her. "First of all, what did I ever do to you to deserve this kind of talk?"
She smacks her lips together at you, simpering. "You didn't think I'd notice?"
"What are you talking about?"
Her almond eyes narrow as if she's trying pin you down with a warning. "Please, don't act like I never noticed. You're overstepping that boundary between you and your best friend- my fiance." Okay, so she's noticed. But your neutralized expression is not going to be giving away anything.
You incline your head to one side in hopes that the facade you're pulling would decompress her suspicion. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Ben is like my brother. "
Grabbing her drink from the table, she sighs and stands up, hands firm on her hips and face silhouetted under the beaming light nevertheless giving you a transpiercing glower in the manner of seeing through the makeshift barrier you've pulled up. "He better be. Try backing off every once in a while when I'm around."
To your dismay, you snap inside, whipping your head up at her and replying sharply to make the message crystal clear. "Rosy, you have no idea." Unable to withstand the atmosphere you're in, you put great emphasis on your words and snatch your drink, walking out to the mini garden to finish what's left of your wine without having to bear being around her.
The question is unadulterated and obvious– bold and italicized if you wish to give it a stretch and clarify it.
Why is Ben still with her?
Is he that clueless not to realize it?
You don't want to pry the answer out yourself but ruminating on it, Rosy pulling off a full one-eighty only when Ben's at an appropriate distance for her to squeeze you between her fingers is just about good as a reason as anything. Your unwavering feelings for Ben are clearly perceived by her– from the way you had reacted the day he introduced you both to each other to not so long ago.
You wonder if Ben ever took heed of her growing attitude towards you.
Finishing your wine in one, immediate, swig, you place it down on the marble surface before you with your fingers cradling the stem of the glass– relishing the spicy liquid flushing down your throat.
At the extent of overexerting themselves, Joe and Gwilym flop down back on their seats like jelly, tuckered out from the unconventional combination of alcohol and unsteady movement. Panting like a dog who had just participated in a marathon, Joe shrugs out of his blazer and tosses it over his shoulder, silently wishing the ice in the bucket that held the bottle of wine would save him from the grinding heat of the wine he had just about five minutes ago.
"Mate, you're deep in the heat." Gwilym comments as it is followed by a gentle laugh on how Joe's glistening in sweat under the dimming lights. He hands him a partially bland look before wiping his forehead with his handkerchief. Lucy and Rami are situated at other end of the place enjoying a chat with another party of people meanwhile Ben and Rosy are nowhere near any of them. Until, of course, they reappear from God knows where and Ben suddenly asks Joe where you've gone.
"I-I don't know." He says after a hefty sigh. Somewhat eager to find you, Ben begins excusing himself from Rosy whom which he has spiked a bitter reaction from for sharing his supposed time for her with you. Fed up and jealous in the slightest, Rosy snaps at him.
"Okay Ben, why do you always have to skip in between minutes to hang out with her even when we're together?"
He pauses from turning around completely and sighs. "She's my friend, babe."
Unwilling to accept his statement, she claims. "Well your friend is getting in the way of what was supposed to be our time together! Can't you set aside a limited time for her?! " This has alarmed Joe and Gwilym but it isn't their business to butt in and stop a quarrel from breaking out. Unless it turns physical, which is doubtful to happen. Ben, a little frustrated but still tolerant of her ongoing skittish behavior, tries to reassure her. "I know that, alright? But something's been bothering her for days and I just want to make sure she's doing alright."
"Can't you leave the worrying to Joe? He's her bloody boyfriend anyway!"
Wagging his forefinger at Rosy, Joe grumbles as he is not having any of her talk, scrunching his brows at her.
Grabbing her shoulders gently, Ben tries to relieve her of tension and assures her once more, but with a well-known fact she obviously still doesn't accept. "Joe's a little drunk. She's like...a sister to me," it really took him an abrupt pause to say 'sister', "besides, you're my fiancee. There's nothing to be jealous about."
"Why does she still have to be a part of your life? Our life?" Now that's a question that has just shifted Ben to a farther side. His brows knit together in momentary disbelief, unable to take her words in a good light. "God, Rosy! She's been around for so long! At least make an effort to accept her!" Like a slap to her conceitedness, Ben turns on his heels and walks out to find you. Leaving Rosy a steaming mess of insecurity.
However slightly drunk, Joe mutters to himself as he makes sure neither Gwilym or especially Rosy hears his words stumble out in a whisper. "You've grown a pair, Ben. You've grown a pair."
You've been outside for nearly half an hour; wine glass empty and your hair, along with the skirt of your dress, drifting along the harmless breeze and the waning moon spilling some light from behind the shaded clouds. Though there were a couple of people that found their way here to get some respite not too long ago, you're just glad to have this space to breathe in from the draining background of the party.
As you lose yourself in thought, a certain voice brings you back to reality.
"Nice night out, huh?"
Turning around slowly, you are met with the cool, forest green irises that you've grown to never tire of seeing. "I'm surprised you're still well-kept in that suit despite the scene back in there. " You give in to a chuckle, your smile pulling Ben to approach your side leisurely. "It's my Oscars suit. Something worthy of protecting."
"Hah!"
As he rests his elbows on the surface next to you, the distance between your skins makes you a tad bit anxious. Comfortable silence falls upon you both– for Ben at least, it's tolerable however you're not taking it well, not even in the slightest. You rub your hands together and sigh, prompting Ben to finally ask you.
"You alright? You've been tensing up lately."
You nod, closing your eyes and opening them afterwards. "This dress is just depleting me of bodily warmth." Half a lie told by you. Acting on his thoughts, Ben begins taking his blazer off but you stop him mid-shrug. "Keep it on. You look better with it on."
"This would look better on you, you're obviously freezing." He's really keen on keeping you warm but you're just as so in letting him keep it on. "I'm serious. Keep it on. I'm fine."
What can he do but just give in? When you're serious, you're serious. He lifts his shoulder in half a shrug, ducking his head as an idea flickers in his head like a bulb. He wants to relive something that has been lost through the years and it's only right that he does...now that you have less than a day to disappear from his life completely.
"Y/N..." He muses gently. You raise your brows at him in question, taken by surprise that he has his hand held out to you. Bewildered, you raise your finger to ask what on Earth he's doing. "What- what are you doing?"
He licks his bottom lip and the smile on his face becomes bashful but certain. "What else does it look like I'm doing, silly girl? Asking you to dance."
You're sorry that you couldn't keep a snort at bay. "Pfft. Ben, I think you're asking the wrong girl."
"Just let me dance with my best friend."
"Wow! That's noble of you," your chuckles can not be contained, even so much as restraining yourself from letting the blush spread throughout your face. But he has the fragments of what was once your heart, so why wouldn't you? You slip your hand in his and the grin on his face widens. "There we go. Easy does it." He breathes out, his voice getting gravelly. You hit him softly on his chest for cooing, at the same time realizing that his voice becomes that way only and only when he's nervous– something uncommon between you both. As his hands find home on your waist, you throw your arms around his neck, laughing at how awkward yet funny it feels. What a huge nod to how you danced with him on Homecoming.
"You're so weird sometimes. You got your fiancee, why don't you dance with her?" Getting used to the sting of referring to Rosy, you question anyway. He initiates with a sway before responding. "I already have. But, " he diverts his heavy-lidded eyes from staring off the distance to yours and suddenly, it feels like you're home, "I want to finish that Homecoming dance."
You find yourself speechless as you shift your unflinching gaze at him and he at you, your bodies swaying along the concrete and in perfect sync, coincidentally to the sudden change in music from inside, compared to the bittersweet night you had before the day that parted you both. Thin silence hangs in the atmosphere but only because you are looking at each other in a way you never have in your entire lives.
Instinctively, you break your gaze from his and rest your head on his chest, your hair falling into your face as your eyes screw shut. You hear his heart skip a beat, unusually in the same manner yours always has. Feeling your head follow the rise and fall of his chest tickles you inside– temporarily making you forget about the pain of soon letting him go and producing a sense of safety.
Maybe it's because of exhaustion? You wonder. He doesn't hesitate to stroke your hair and revel in the moment as well, easing you in closer to his body without breaking the sway. "You'll be there on my wedding day, right?" He asks nervously, his question pulling you back to the harshest reality.
You open your eyes slowly, your lips trembling as you let out the saddest sigh, feeling your chest tighten from the anxiety of soon telling him the truth.
"Y/N?" Your tensed-up body alarms him and so he breaks away and lifts your chin up lightly, being met with glossy and regretful eyes. His messy brows drawing together in slight worry. "What's wrong?"
Everything.
However uneager to push him away, you do, escaping his warm embrace. "Ben, I..."
He's dreading for your answer, painfully anticipating for the best or the worst to the point where his hands are lubricating with sweat.
You swallow the lump that has hardened in the back of your throat, pressing your lips together to prevent a sob from escaping and shunning his prying stare. "I can't..."
Joe's half-assed predicted, worst case scenario is slowly unfolding.
"What are you saying? You're not- you're not going...to be there?"
You bite down on your lip hard enough to make it swell, shaking your head and casting a sideways glance.
"Why?"
Tell the truth. Just tell him and you're either getting a support or another jab to the heart.
"Y/N, please! Tell me why!"
"I'm leaving, Ben!" The words didn't seem to stumble or carelessly flop from your lips, in fact it speared through him clean thereby catching him off guard. His eyes have fallen gravely, lips parted due to shock.
"I got into a medical school I had previously applied for. And I'm leaving," you snap your eyes shut and open them in tears once you've looked up at him, "on your wedding day."
"Why didn't- why didn't you ever tell me?" He's pleading for your explanation, barely clinging on to the belief that you would always tell him things.
You don't answer as you are battling to muster up the courage to say it.
"Y/N, please! You never tell me anything these days! And this- this news, it's important! You're leaving on the day I need you the most, and you never bothered to squeak a word about it! Not a single, bloody word! Why?!" He's racked up with disbelief and apparently, anger. Eyes rimmed, clouded with mixed emotions and face full-blown red from the pressure.
He grabs you by the shoulders and pleads heartbreakingly, his lively voice reduced to but a whisper. "Why..."
"I-" You're still holding back.
"Say it! "
"You'd soon forget about me, Ben!" You inhale sharply as you add, croaks present in your voice while you take two steps further away from him as you lament. "I'm hopelessly in love with you, you idiot! I've always been. I try- I try to brush off every single prick that stems out every minute I realize that you already belong to someone else..."
"Y/N-"
"I figured not telling you would help me let go. And it's the only way I can...because screw you for being a clueless, irreplaceable bloke! I can't imagine my bloody life without you in it! I don't think I can ever love anybody else...but you, "
"Y/N..."
You don't let him finish and achingly throw your hands to your chest as a gesture, pounding your chest thrice as you're finally wearing your heart on your sleeve. "I can't blame you for being oblivious to my feelings. You're committed to Rosy...and as much as I want to see you happy, I don't want to stand idly by and- and feel this way when you've pledged your heart to her...I want to forget and for you to forget me," As the warm tears you've held back for so long roll down your cheeks, you hug yourself through the pain, "I want you to be happy without worrying how I'd feel. And disappearing from your life, is the only way I know how..."
"Y/N, please, don't say that- don't do this...you can't do this...you c-can't..." With hands shaking, he strides towards you to haul you in back into his arms but you take an agonizing step away, stopping him in his tracks. "I have to. I...I want to. It hurts so much, Ben. It always has but promise me," even if you have taken a step away, you take it upon yourself to take those steps close to him and cup his cheek with a cold hand, "promise me you'll revel in that happiness. It's going to hurt being away from you. But it's going to hurt even more if I stay. And watch...my best friend grow old with someone else." Finally rendering him wordless, you shake your head and whisk past him back into the party which has died down a bit, leaving him a pondering mess out under the bleak sky.
"How could I be happy without you..."
You'd gladly do anything to go back home right now. The weight of what just took place is crushing you and the need to escape is fuming. But the thing is, Ben was never one to let you go easy.
He never did and possibly never will.
He sniffles and inhales sharply, jogging in after you and calling out your name amidst the constant noise and chatters. "Y/N, wait!"
You reach your table just in time to see everyone still gathered around with drinks raised and laughs released but you have to excuse yourself deliberately. "Y/N? Where have you been? What's the rush?" Lucy notices your hastened movement and places her hand on your tense shoulder. You snap your head at her with your purse in your grasp, shaking your head and apologizing that you have to leave, forgetting to rid your eyes of tears; the sight of you amping up Lucy's concern therefore leading you into her embrace. "Oh my god, are you okay? What happened?"
"Y/N!"
Ben's distant but audible voice echoing through the place just sends you panicking inside. "I'm so sorry, Luce. I have to go."
"Y/N, wait! What's wrong?"
Just as the rest could react to Lucy calling out for you and Ben dashing past them to catch up, you've already disappeared into the crowd, headed out the theatre to take a cab ride back to the hotel. Relentless to let you go, Ben follows your trail, spurring a quick frenzy from the rest and having them pursue Ben in return. Once you reach the outskirts of the pavements, you don't think twice before crossing the highway with your focus hardened before you.
Gasping for air upon exiting the theatre, Ben glances around in haste and finally spots you marching down the street oblivious to your surroundings despite treading along the pedestrian lane. His eyes widen in dread and acting on a fight or flight reaction, he yells for your attention as he speeds down the street to pull you in or rather save you from a possibility of getting hurt with all the rushing vehicles and careless drivers. "Y/N! Y/N!"
The boys, Lucy and Rosy arrive outside just in time to witness Ben race towards your direction and in a moment of feeling time slow down, you feel your heart in your throat at the late flash of nearing headlights, to add a heavy force propelling you off your feet and onto the other side of the road. What gets you up from the ground are the mixed screams of a familiar bunch and the sight of a bloodied man in white laying unconscious on the cold surface of the road.
White noise suddenly fills your ears instead of your own voice as you scream out his name.

When you woke up, you immediately found yourself in a compromising position.
You felt the steady rise and fall of a hard chest behind you, the person's arm draped over your waist to hold you close to them. As if you didn't already know who it was, the familiar brown curls were just next to you, flopped loosely against his forehead. You couldn't deny that you missed being this close with him, but it was his fault that there was a barrier between the two of you.
Your mind still groggy, you tried to remember what had happened the previous night. You must have accidentally fallen asleep next to Shawn when you guys were wrapping up the writing for Like To Be You, which only ended up taking an hour or so once you two began to pour your hearts out.
A lot was said that night, but nothing was said directly. Everything they wanted- needed to say was spoken through their lyrics, left to the other's interpretation.
Lines like "There's nothin' left to say, let's call a truce, 'Cause I don't really wanna go to bed like this," and "Can I kiss you or not, 'cause I'm not really sure right now of what you want," stuck in your mind as you fell asleep that night on the hardwood floor, definitely not with Shawn. He must have fallen asleep soon after.
You sighed heavily and listened to the birds outside of the studio beach house whilst you pondered your options. Either you wake him up by breaking free of his grasp, or you stay put and wait for him to wake up beside you. Either option seemed equally awkward.
That's when Shawn's grungy morning voice startled you, his breath tickling the hairs on the back of your neck. "Mm. Good morning."
As soon as you realized he was awake as well, you separated yourself from him, sitting up in front of him as he slowly rose to a sit as well.
"Sleep well?" He asked, running a hand lazily through his curls.
Shawn noticed the spaced-off look in your eyes and frowned, realizing that he may have unintentionally crossed another line. When you didn't answer, merely stared at the ground, he sighed and got up, looking over the mess the two of you had made.
A few beer bottles were spread throughout the room, a few blankets strung here and there, candy wrappers on the floor. The computer was still up and running, ready to play the few clips you'd managed to record.
Today was the last day the two of you had alone before the production team came in to help, and he intended to make the most of it.
"What's this?"
Your voice comes as a shock to him and he whips around to face you, face paling when he notices you holding his leather journal. You're flipping casually through the pages when he pounds across the room, ripping the book from his hands.
You give him an odd look when he holds it behind his back, pursing his lips awkwardly. "Nothing! Nothing. Please don't touch my things."
You hold your hands up defensively and nod, leaving it at that. He sighs in relief and puts his large hand to his chest, awkwardly messing with the collar. "Uh, do you wanna go back to the house and have breakfast?"
Giving his nervous tendencies a tiny grin, you nod and then you're walking out the door with him hot on your trail.
-
"Milk."
Shawn hands you the milk, watching you pour it into the mixture.
"Flour?"
He scurries to the cabinet and grabs the bag, running back to hand it to you.
"Egg."
"Ya'know," Shawn chuckles, handing her the carton. "Playing the messenger is getting pretty boring."
You glare at him jokingly and crack the egg into the batter. "Sorry I don't trust you enough to not to mess this up."
"How hard can pancakes be?" He bluffs, tossing a water bottle back and forth between his hands. "You just add the things and stir it... Simple."
You shake your head and laugh a bit, "Just let me do this, you're so annoying."
Shawn doesn't respond and you go back to stirring, humming a tune peacefully to yourself when you're suddenly hit with something, your jaw dropping to your chest.
An egg's contents were dripping down the side of your face, seeping into your hair and skin. Shawn lets out a booming laugh, holding the carton of eggs in his hand.
You reach for the bag of flour, grabbing a fistful of the substance and flinging it his way, immediately shutting him up as he coughs and waves it out of his face.
"Oh, it's on!" He yells, beginning to chase you around the kitchen.
"You started it!" You laugh genuinely, dodging his attempts to throw more eggs at you.
At one point you make a mistake and slip on one of his eggs, your body hitting the ground causing him to put the eggs down and run to your side.
He kneels next to you and his eyes run over your aching body, checking for any bad injuries.
"Agh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" He asks frantically, watching as you prop yourself up on your elbows.
"Yeah, yeah." You huff, looking up into his golden eyes. "I think I'm good."
"Oh." Shawn mutters, his face looking much more serious than it did just 30 seconds ago. "Well... In that case.."
Shawn's hands are on your sides in a split second, his fingers tickling over the skin. You yelp and try to swat him away, his assault pulling boisterous giggles from your lips. "Shawn, stop! Please!"
He chuckles as tears begin to leak from your eyes, his fingers never stopping. You looked so perfect underneath him like this, face shining happiness and laugh lightening his heart. Nobody else could ever make him feel this way, he was convinced.
"Uncle! Uncle!" You tap out, your laugh dying when his fingers finally stopped.
He licked over his lips when you looked up at him, your eyes glazed over and hopeful. Shawn wished he could keep you here all day, just studying your beauty until someone pulled him off of you. But he knew that couldn't happen.
You cleared your throat and he snapped out of his daze, helping you up to your feet.
"So.." He bit his lip, "Who's going to get in the shower first?"
"You go ahead." You look down at the ground, unable to hold that mesmerizing gaze with the man anymore. "I'll finish the pancakes."
Shawn nods and walks off, going to wash himself from all of their shenanigans.
The pancakes are done far before you find yourself leaning against the wall next to the bathroom door. Shawn's silky smooth voice was belting out his own lyrics as he practiced runs and different progressions, and it blew you away just as it did every other time he sang.
You could imagine him in there, shower steam making his cheeks rosy, hair wet and stuck to his skin.
Oh, how you wish he hadn't been such an asshole.
You must not have noticed his shower stopping and before you could run away, Shawn's exiting the bathroom, dripping wet with only a towel wrapped around his waist. You stand there like a deer in the headlights at the fact that you'd been caught, however Shawn barely reacts. He merely smirks at you and nods towards the door.
"Shower's free."
-
Shawn watched you with the upmost adoration in his eyes as he witnessed you belt out the final lyrics to the song. When you finished, you stood there with your eyes closed and your right hand on the headphones, basking in the glory of basically completing a song.
Your peace is interrupted when Shawn lets out a whooping cheer, clapping his hands together and rushing towards you. You gasp loudly as he picks you up by your knees, spinning you around and holding you close to him. Both of you are laughing at his actions and he sets you down after a second.
His face is still rosy and radiant when he holds your shoulders, shaking you gently, "God, you're such an amazing singer. How did I get so lucky to get this collab with you?"
"Oh, stop it." You swat him away while simultaneously pulling him into a hug.
He cradles the back of your head and rocks the two of you back and forth, never wanting to let go.
"This is gonna go #1." You mutter into his chest. "I can feel it in my bones."
Shawn doesn't reply, only stops rocking you and pulls back the slightest bit to look at your face.
The open windows let in a slight breeze, strands of your hair gently tickling your face. The only light in the room came from the dimmed lights overhead, and the only noise that could be heard in the room was the noises of the night creatures outside.
Shawn's hand comes down to cradle your jaw, smiling when you nuzzle your cheek into his rough palm. His eyes flutter as his mind races, thinking of something to say, and quick before he loses you again.
"Y/N, I-" He begins, licking his lips nervously but keeping adamant eye contact with you. "I miss you. And maybe not in the way you're thinking. I would love to be with you in that way, yeah, but I understand if that's not what you want. If you want to stay friends forever, that's fine with me. I just need you in my life, in one way or another."
You grin at his small rant, squeezing his arm. "You're too cute."
Shawn lets out a quick breath in place of a laugh, shaking his head. "Okay.. I don't know what that means.."
"It means I miss you too." You quirk, rolling your eyes. "I just.. I'm not ready to try again. Not like that, not yet. But, I miss those conversations we would always have in between interviews and shows, and how you always supported me, even through my dumbest decisions. You never failed to put a smile on my face. And I miss having that kind of friendship."
"I'll literally take anything you give me. I'd wait 500 years until you're ready again." Shawn breaths out, finally feeling like he can breathe again. "Thank you so much, Y/N. Thanks for not completely giving up on me."
You nod, standing up on your tippytoes to ruffle his hair. "No problem, Shawn. Now what do you say we go celebrate our last day alone here and pop that bottle of champagne?"
-
Shawn's curly head pops into your room 2 days later, eyes saddening when he watches you packing your things into your last bag. "You ready to go?"
You zip up your suitcase, looking back at him with a smirk. "Jeez, are you rushing me?"
"The opposite, actually." Shawn snickers.
The song was completed with the help of the team that came in that next day, and today, it was finally time to leave. Your flight was leaving earlier than his, meaning that you'd be leaving him earlier than he preferred.
"I'm sure you'll see me soon, Shawn." You grin at him, pinching his cheek with one of your free hands. "Besides, when this song hits the charts, you're never going to be able to shut me up about it."
"I look forward to that." Shawn quips quickly, walking you to the wide open front door. The black truck was already in the driveway, ready to bring you to the airport.
"Be very careful what you wish for," You joke, pulling him into a small hug that turns into a huge one when he pulls you tighter against him, his blunt nails digging into your sides.
He breaths in heavily and mutters, "I'm really gonna miss you. Even though you drive me absolutely insane."
You laugh at this and shake your head as he lets you go, "I'll text you when I land, alright?"
Shawn nods and blows you a joking kiss as you walk away, loading your things into the truck.
You climb into the passenger seat without looking at him and your phone dings just before you pull away. Pulling it out, you're positive your heart skips a beat.
From: Shawn
See? Missing you already :(
You look out the window to see him frowning, waving at you as the wheels below you begin to turn and you're waving back sweetly.
And Shawn merely stands there, watching you ride off into the distance until all that's left of your vehicle is a tiny speck disappearing over the mountain.
