this is gonna sound so corny but whenever i think about my upcoming violin classes my heart just feels so fucking full. like this is me righting all the wrongs in my life
#like the whole orchestra vs. band system in my public school system was jacked#in 5th grade they sent a bunch of representatives from the school board's music program and they were like#''wanna join orchestra? COOL! twice a week you've gotta get up an hour earlier and have your parents drive you to the high school''#because 5th grade orchestra was taught by the high school orchestra teacher#like. what 10 year old is gonna agree to that. not me!!! i was soooo close and i was gonna play cello actually#because all my friends were playing violin and i wanted to be ~*~ quirky and unique ~*~ because i'm an aquarius#but last minute i was like nah. i'll wait until 6th grade and join band where they don't make me get up at 6am#and THEN 2007 happens i wanted to play the clarinet but when i was trying out the band director said i was ''a natural at the trumpet''#(because obviously i had to try out All The Instruments™ not just the one i wanted to play)#and i was like 😭 no shit i come from a Long Line of Trumpet Players™ but i wanna play clarinet#and blah blah blah ''natural talent'' so i ended up playing trumpet for 4 years then quitting 💀#anyway i am intoxicated so that's why i'm oversharing tonight. peace and love xoxo <3#m.txt
