something the mha anime does worse than the manga is that it feels strangely empty? like, they’ve made the characters smaller and the frames bigger so there’s more background but it just feels like there’s less there visually

#obviously they have to make it bigger since theyre not confined to a panel #but the manga is filled from border to border and the characters fit the space theyre in #its like the anime overcorrected and gave them too much space #like the mange always squeezes fatgum into his panels so you always get a sense of how big he is #that kinda lost in the anime purely bc of how big the background is #and it makes it feel slower #especially when they do those pauses between movement #it can sometimes feel like an animatic #idk theres just all these group scenes but it still feels empty #the best example is when class a is posing and getting ready to be called in? that panel is so much fuller in the manga #they look like theyve been shrunk #coming out of my cage and ive been doing just fine.txt #go beyond plus ultra #bnha #mha #my hero acedamia
