Like.... no... you stupid ass. Listen here Gen Z and let the fandom elder tell you something: the internet does not revolve around YOU and what makes YOU uncomfortable. For example: I hate pedophilic ships like Adam x Langa or Deku x Allmight because it triggers my trauma of having been the target of a pedophile stalker at the age of 13. So what do i do? I DON‘T FUCKING INTERACT WITH THE LANGADAM AND ALLDEKU TAG, CUZ I KNOW IT WILL TRIGGER ME AND MAKE ME UNCOMFORTABLE! And if as some cruel joke of fate, I do see some Langadam/Alldeku content on my dashboard i just scroll past, block the person even if i deem necessary. Same also goes with problematic media in general. We all know Voltron and Sherlock are queerbait there is no way around it. So what do we do when we someone posting about these fandoms in 2021? If your answer is: Send them death threats, calling them names and saying they support homophobia for enjoying these shows; than you have clearly not learnt your lesson. Just... Don‘t send hate or interact with shit you dislike. Scrolling past it is one movement! One finger movement! You can do it! These fan artists are not responsible for your comfort. You are. You are responsible for it by not interacting with it, ignoring it, blocking and blacklisting the tag if necessary but don‘t fucking be an ass.

Same goes when you go to a convention. First, conventions are mostly made by adults for adults and not meant for tween weebs to begin with. So if you see an artist at a convention sell stuff you highly dislike... maybe don‘t give them cookies with needles in them. Trust me shipping and gross fanart is not worth your time and anger. Just speed walk past it and go to what makes you happy! Consume what you enjoy. Imagine you hate mustard and then spend your day in the supermarket angry that they sell mustard. I have done this for 10 years now and guess what? My fandom experience has been a blast. When Homestuck died and ppl were telling me how toxic this fandom was i did not know what they were talking about cuz again i spent the entire time in ship tags and character tags of my choice (and cuz ppl were probably civil enough to not put hate in those specific tags) so I was never aware of the rather problematic shit going on in the fandom cuz i kept an 8 mile distance from it all.

YOU are responsible for what YOU consume online. Don‘t like something? DON‘T INTERACT! Sending that fan artist or writer death threats and long essays about why it is problematic is not gonna stop them and will make you look like a complete demented asshole. Sending death threats did not work on kaeluc shippers, it did not work on sheith shippers, it did not work on langadam shippers and it will not work any day soon.
