really i think that what i need is just. to sit with someone. we don't have to talk. i can work and they can work but really it would be nice to just. have someone around.

#boink #i seriously need to get this essay done #i have a day to write four and a half pages #the min page count is eight and i only have three and a half from my draft two weeks ago #i haven't made any progress since #i keep trying #but it's so intimidating #and i really care about what i'm writing about #i want to do it justice #but my time is running so low #and naturally that's my fault #but still #i just want to like sit and work with someone #maybe share a blanket and be warm together :( bleh #anyway i'm writing about gender affirming care for adolescents #but there is so. much. to cover.#i thought i had a good idea of what i was focusing on but then my prof just absolutely Wrecked that with his note on my draft #so. idk #it's a research essay and the primary issue is like. using sources #like the class isn't even about anything in particular. it's just the required freshman writing #so so far i've talked about informed consent and the dsm5 diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria #and i was thinking about going somewhere with like the idea of depathologization (don't @ my spelling)#what i have as a bit of a launching point rn from the consent and dsm stuff to talk about like conservatism and androgyny #and i really wanted to connect to some stuff about misinformation and talk about like gender essentialism #with this really neat study i found on conservatism that talks a bit about social dominance theory #and the legitimizing myth of the gender binary #except the prof said i should include more about informed consent like across the board. sort of like more in depth about that by itself #and like i think i get the direction he's talking about but it just. idk. we had talked for a bit about where i was going with everything #and i really thought we were sort of on the same page about what i could do with the sources and the thought process?#soo anyway now i have two days until it's due and i haven't started revising and i also have a whole physics exam i need to prepare for :D
