And what if, a year or two later, and his antlers finally get their first branch, his Wail stops sounding like the screams of a teenager dying in an unsecured portal, to instead sound like the howling of a blizzard as it keeps you stuck up the mountains?
Danny boy going full eldritch embodiment of a frozen winter?
His steps always sound like he's stepping on packed snow.
His normal voice has that background whistling of the wind in your windows as he speaks.
He snarls with anger, and you hear the landslide as it triggers an avalanche down the side of a mountain.
His purring sounds like the rumbling hooves of reindeer herds over snowy fields.
I'm also getting a very clear image in my head of Older Danny, somewhere in his 30's, being know as every single kid's favorite Uncle, because he makes snow for snowball fights in the park during the heat of summer. And being as sturdy and strong as all ghosts are, the kids can dangle from his antlers and perch on his shoulders, without fear of anyone being hurt.
(Imagine Kenpachi in Bleach, with Yachiru always on his shoulder, that's my thoughts for Winter Spirit Danny. Always has a kid on his shoulder or on top of his head holding on to his antlers.)
Short DPXDC Prompts #931
Danny gets older and some aspects of his ice core start to affect his mortal body. One day he checks the mirror to see two bright blue bumps that are growing out of his head. In his panic, he flees to the Far Frozen to ask Frostbite what is happening. “Congratulations Great One! Your antlers are growing in!” His... What?

Death & Rebirth
Mottled Necklace
A vividly-colored accoutrement precious to the ancestral followers.
Raises immunity, robustness, and focus.
Said to be a budding horn. The ancestral followers believe that the horns of a long-lived beast continue to bud like antlers, over and over again, until the beast one day becomes an ancestral spirit.
Remembrance of the Regal Ancestor
Ancestral spirits exist as a phenomenon beyond the purview of the Erdtree. Life sprouts from death, as it does from birth. Such is the way of the living.
Ancestral Spirit's Horn
Item cut from the horns of the Regal Ancestor Spirit.
Restore FP upon defeating enemies.
A number of new growths bud from the antler-like horns of the fallen king, each glowing with light. Thus does new life grow from death, and from death, one obtains power.
Since Malenia fought Radahn, and the great scarlet flower blossomed in Aeonia, I have dedicated myself to her. And to the resplendence of the Order of Rot. The cycle of decay and rebirth.
--Sage Gowry
Poison Mist
Incantation of the servants of rot.
Releases a poisonous mist before the caster. This incantation can be cast while in motion.
Those who dwell within poison know rot all too well. The death that begets life, that comes to all equally. That is to say: it is the cycle of rebirth put into practice.
Larval Tear (Base Game) Core of a creature of mimicry known as a silver tear. As much a substance as it is a living organism.
Material required by the amber egg cradled by Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, to birth people anew.
Being born anew allows the reallocation of attributes boosted by leveling up.
Larval Tear (SOTE)
An exceptionally rare creature that burgeons from spiritgraves and lives only a fleeting existence. Neither flesh nor spirit, but something in between.
Juvenile Scholar Cap
Cap worn by young academy scholars, the juveniles birthed anew by the amber egg of Queen Rennala, the head of Raya Lucaria Academy.
Yet their rebirth is not without imperfections, and thus do they repeat the process, eventually becoming utterly dependent upon it.
Rebirth is as sleep to them, and with each awakening, memory fades into oblivion.
Greatjar
A greatjar which fits comfortably over the head when upturned. Attire of the shamans who perform their worship at gaols.
Increases the power of thrown pots of all sizes.
They offer their prayers to the innards of the greatjars, such that they might be reborn one day into sainthood. This is the cycle of death and rebirth, taken into the hands of mortal men.
Death Ritual Spear
Ritual spear used by priests of old who were permitted to come among the Deathbirds.
The priests became guardians of the birds through the rite of Death, which also serves as an oath sworn to their distant resurrection.
Guardian Garb
Engraved golden garb. Worn by the guardians of the Minor Erdtrees.
In accordance with an ancient pact with the Erdtree, it is said that their deaths led not to destruction, but instead to renewed, eternal life as guardians.
Guardian Garb (Full Bloom)
Engraved golden garb. Worn by the guardians of the Minor Erdtrees.
Raises the HP recovery effects of the Flask of Crimson Tears, but greatly lowers fire damage negation.
It is said that the blood-red flowers blooming on their backs mark the senescence of their ancient pact. Perhaps the guardians are part tree already.
Sacrificial Twig
A talisman fashioned from a dried twig, so slender that it might snap at the slightest touch.
Prevents rune loss upon death, but will be lost itself in exchange.
Believed to be a twig pruned from the Erdtree long, long ago.
Memory of Grace
The memory of first grace, which once guided bygone Tarnished to the Lands Between.
Lose all runes and return to last site of grace visited.
It is merely a cycle. Stand before the Elden Ring. Become the Elden Lord.
Young seedling, young seedling. Return to the bosom of earth. But remember well, Thou'rt mine. So shall I give of myself. This is for thee. Mine abundance, my drop of dew. Quench thy thirst, throughout thy frame. Blossom and burgeon, time and again. Grow larger, stronger. Until the day cometh.

Tried to sort remembrances based on their color palette and the result is quite... interesting
Both Elden Beast and Maliketh have much lighter hue of gold than demigods. I assume that rich gold of demigods and Fortisaxx remembrances means that they belong to the age of the Erdtree/Golden Order. What’s the deal with Elden Beast and Maliketh then? Is it because they are beasts created by Two Fingers and The Greater Will?
(I can’t find original comment, but someone on Youtube pointed out that the spells Radagon casts with his left shadow hand have a yellow-gold color, but what comes from Marika’s hammer has desaturated whitish gold)
The color of Placidusax remembrance is most likely related to the Crucible, the previous incarnation of the Order: red tint exemplifies the nature of primordial gold, said to be close in nature to life itself. The Union between dragons and Golden Order became possible because both factions formally belonged to the Elden Ring (Greater Will), but I’m curious why Omens and Misbegotten were cast aside, but dragons were worshipped in Leyndell with a help of Godwyn
Rennala and Astel are obviously connected to the Stars and Moons, but Astel is a bastard of the void if I go with Japanese literal translation, while Rennala is a champion of the Full Moon. This situation reminds me of heretical belief of some Raya Lucaria scholars:
Scholars of the Lazuli Conspectus study Carian sorceries—a heterodox pursuit that views the moon as equal to the stars.
Fire Giant is bright red, can’t say anything about it other than I tired of all Radagon is part giant theories
Regal Ancestor Spirit has its unique turquoise color, descriptions related to it are rather intriguing.
Ancestral spirits exist as a phenomenon beyond the purview of the Erdtree. Life sprouts from death, as it does from birth. Such is the way of the living.
A number of new growths bud from the antler-like horns of the fallen king, each glowing with light. Thus does new life grow from death, and from death, one obtains power.
How old is Ancestral worship? Can Godwyn be affected by the power of ancestral worship, looking how his corpses are mutated in the pieces of different living creatures?
