#leif.txt#the literal moral of the story is that the only way for scrooge to turn his life around and not die alone#is to give his money away as he makes it and make the lives of other people easier#instead of hoarding it all to himself and not even using it but getting to say he's rich#like scrooge lives MISERABLY in the cold and the dark to save money#the lesson is do not hoard your riches spread the wealth and you will be joyful because of the way it improves your community#its about the way that money corrupts and isolates and that the answer to that is to GIVE IT TO THOSE WHO NEED IT#the first thing scrooge does is give bob a raise and buy him food like#and donate to the donation men he had spurned the day before
