I'm going to be real, when everyone was like "This is the DARK season of GX!" and "This is the one where Jaden KILLS PEOPLE!" I was expecting him to mass murder like, the earth. Not a designated mini-world mostly populated by evil monsters that attack first and explode into dust on death that seems designed to enable Jaden to mass-murder with minimal implications or consequences for humans or his life back home. And his whole Supreme-King incident felt way more like a magic-induced plot mind control than a decision Jaden had any real agency in or any natural extension of his flaws. Frankly this whole arc is written pretty safe, all things considered. I'm not impressed.
