i never actually finished embers even if its like a fandom famous fic. However from what i recall i really enjoyed how irohs pov was written
#my actual favorite was from this unfinished au fic#one of those where azulon gives iroh custody of zuko upon his return from bss#but iroh is like SUPER depressed and shit and the stuff he recalls from bss get really dark and nasty#like really realistic on the war aspect. the ugliest parts of his personality really show in it#and i just lovedddd it so much. it was so interesting and i think changed how i see iroh#cus even if it was an au fic it wasnt far off?? at all???#but the worst part is that ive tried to find it again like 5 separate times all to no avail. Rip to that damn fic
