#i love you fma fandom and your ability to engage with media from both a fanwork angle and analytical one#i dont think ill ever be able to get into any modern fandoms because they just dont hit like the oldies#even the evil within fandom does better in engaging with the source material past just a playground for derivative work#like old fandoms arent actually inherently better but they seem to be able of balancing the two sides of fandom#anyway this was brought on by the three separate analyses i saw while scrolling the envy fma tag because im back on my bullshit#the tag is full of a lot of fanart and official art and some memes and fic of them but also analytical shit#and i think thats super fucking cool because i just dont see it very often in fandom#like yes it exists even in the newest of the new but it gets drowned out so quick because the focus is so heavily on shipping fic and art
