#like obviously it seems like amane would have killed shidou. but. you never know. they could be throwing us a curve ball here...

Amane actually 'caused' nothing because she waited until Mahiru died to kill Shidou, paralleling how she only killed her mom after her mom killed the cat. in this essay i will

You should vote Kazui "unforgiven/guilty" in the 2nd trial, here's why:
( Why I think we should vote Kazui guilty )
I don't think we should vote Kazui guilty because he "deserves" it. In MILGRAM, it's not just about whether a prisoner "deserves" that verdict until it's the final trial. Every vote has had a different motive, i.e, most MILGRAM'ers voted Amane guilty not because she "deserved" that verdict, but because they wanted to help teach her a lesson about life being invaluable.
My actual reason for wanting to vote Kazui guilty for this trial is because I believe the "risks" people are speaking of are out of question. Many innocent voters are claiming that without Kazui, Amane will attack Shidou, and that Kotoko will be unstoppable and potentially kill everyone. I can understand the concern, but I find this to be an unrealistic reason to vote Kazui innocent. MILGRAM cannot predict exactly what we will vote, but at the very least, they would have a character's story written from start to finish. Will a prisoner end up in shambles? Maybe. But for a prisoner to actually die? That's obviously a no-go. Not only is that an abrupt, improvised stop from a storyboarding perspective that would never be approved, but MILGRAM knows far better than to do something that could be so trivial and even stunt further growth of the series.
With that being said, I believe that voting Kazui guilty, at least in the 2nd trial, will not be as “bad” of an idea as people are making it out to be. In fact, voting him innocent seems to be the worse and less logical option here. Because unlike Shidou and Yuno, who already have innocent verdicts for the 2nd trial, giving Kazui a double-innocent verdict will be inefficient, non-insightful, will overall stunt his character growth, and will likely leave us without the full picture in the 3rd and final trial. While Shidou and Yuno will have obvious reactions stirred from their double-innocent verdicts (Shidou’s internal struggles + savior complex and Yuno’s distaste with how she’s being perceived), Kazui receiving yet another innocent verdict will not be doing us any sort of favor. His feelings of guilt have already been almost completely washed away, and the previous innocent verdict made him feel at least a little validated in his crime, at least enough for him to take off his wedding ring. At the end of Kazui’s voice drama, he tells us himself, in order to understand him, we need to dive deeper into his sins. The only way we can do that is by stirring a possible reaction out of him, which would be to vote guilty.
Lastly, this is a bit more flimsy than the rest of what I had said, but I also believe that MILGRAM may be hinting at us as to what to vote for Kazui’s 2nd trial, judged by how each character is positioned in their song cover.
Muu and Haruka are both facing the same way, with their backs towards us, staring into the camera with a sly expression. Innocent -> Guilty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fuuta and Mahiru are both facing the same way, with their backs fully to the door and looking directly towards the audience, looking at the camera with a panicked expression. Guilty -> Innocent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shidou and Yuno are both facing the same way, opposite to Muu and Haruka, and with their backs towards us, staring into the camera with a neutral or composed expression. Innocent -> Innocent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kazui is facing the same way as Muu and Haruka, with his back towards us, and what do you know? Staring into the camera with a sly expression similar to that of Muu and Haruka’s.
Tumblr media
Again, this might not hold any true weight, but someone has already pointed out that MILGRAM /does/ actually consider the positions of each prisoner, considering all 1st trial innocent verdicts are facing /towards/ their door, while all the 1st trial guilty verdicts are facing /away/ from their door.
TLDR: Kazui might not actually “deserve” a guilty verdict in the sense of it being a punishment of sorts, but voting him guilty is more likely to be beneficial for us as an audience above all, which, is what should matter more in the long run.

Hi ^^ you can put a readmore on mobile version by going on a new like and writing :.readmore: without the . inside! No clue about pc/website version. On tumblr we use cw/tw most of the time aswell
I didn't get into Milgram till after Mu's video was released so i didn't get to vote in Haruka's or Yuno's but i still have opinions!
Haruka: BIG agree!!! He's an abused man who wasn't properly taught right from wrong, so yes forgive!!
Yuno: Agree on verdict- though i was like 99% sure it was abortion/induced miscarriage, because of the dna strands, song name and balloon being blown up. I didn't really care much about her circumstances, if she wanted to abort she can abort, though she did definitely sound desperate in her mv...
Fuuta: Agree on reasoning, disagree on verdict! He's definitely stupid lol, at the time though there was no evidence that they'd get death penalty if unforgiven, and obviously we didn't know about Kotokos... plans. He's completely indenial about his murder and won't budge, so I hoped unforgiving him would help him realise that his consequences have actions (though i guess we were the ones to learn that huh)
Mu: Disagree!! I quickly read the chalkboard because i forgot what was on it and I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to? The only one that stands out to me is "criminal", the rest are just insults towards Mu. Anyway at the time I believed her friends were just using her for her money, and after finding out she loved the purple girl, they started bullying her. The purple girl didn't seem to be bullying Mu herself, but she was sitting next to her in class and continued to ignore the bullying, even when Mu asked her to help. I'm still pretty confident that the boxcutter she used to kill her victim was supposed to be used on herself. So overall I forgave her for the murder being a sudden decision born from the abuse she received.
Shidou: Forgiven & what the fuck. Definitely agree on what you think happened- killing off patients who were already ill or making them seem like they were when in reality they could have been saved. I mainly forgave him due to the fact he very likely isn't going to kill again- he's extremely regretful and the girl he was trying to save is gone. Metavoting has definitely made his next vote interesting though.
Mahiru: Disagree in verdict! At first I did forgive her, mainly because of that face she made at the end... i felt so bad for her :( I'm definitely of the opinion that she abused him unintentionally until he committed, I don't think she stalked him completely though. After I first after I forgave her I stopped seeing her as "poor mahiru just wanted love" to "oh wow this woman is a master manipulator", both of which I disagree with now. At the time, she seemed extremely manipulative to me with her basically threatening Es with suicide if she wasn't forgiven to Es commenting on how she's knowledgeable on psychological stuff, so I changed my vote to unforgiven.
Kazui: Agree! I forgave him at the time, his mv is interesting though I was of the belief that he never cheated at all considering we never saw him actually bite the apple- only get close to it. I don't believe ending a relationship makes someone a murderer no matter what their partner does afterwards.
Amane: Also agree! At the time I was quite a strong forgive voter, was kinda upset when she was unforgiven. Im pretty sure she killed someone who was about to join the cult, after her 'family' abused her into killing them to prove her faith. They're faith healers and she went against that.
Mikoto: Agree!! Unfortunately with his mv it was alot less focused on why he killed and more "wow look one of him is killing the other doesn't know". The lyrics did seem to imply that Mikoreto (Miko2) suffers from pretty bad depressive and suicidal thoughts, but beyond that we were given nothing so I unforgave him, especially since it seems like he's killed many people.
Kotoko: Disagree! I forgave her 🥰 she seemed to be hunting anyone who took advantage of others and knocking them unconscious to leave outside a police station. Her main target seemed to be a child predator who got away with his crimes due to his money, and he seemed to be the only one she killed. She had a huge board filled with leads and dedicated her 24/7 to figuring everything out, so I believed she wouldn't end up actually killing an innocent like many people believed.
Damn 5/10! Definitely can see why you voted them the way you did, though if we were both here back then, I can definitely see me hard disagreeing especially with Kotoko haha. It seems that the more direct a murder is, the less likely you are to forgive them, your only exceptions were Haruka and Amane, both of which were abused on screen. Mu fits this description but you unforgave her due to her killing someone who wasn't directly involved(?), which is interesting since Amanes and Harukas victims didn't seem to be adding to their abuse either. Would love to hear more about that specific reasoning :O. We'll probably be seeing a much more violent side of each character this round so I'm excited to see what you'll vote for them when their mvs come out!
As for trial 2:
Agree: Yuno, Fuuta, Mikoto, Kotoko
Disagree: Mu, Kazui, Amane
Undecided: Shidou, Mahiru
Haruka: His mvs the only one out so far... however I forgave him (and have voted him such literally every day). Because of what we now know happens when we unforgive, it feels very pointless to me to not forgive Haruka. We're basically just repeating his mothers abuse and that clearly didn't work, so I'm forgiving.
I won't go into too much depth about the others till their mvs come out, but for Kazui I'm very open to the idea of unforgiving him. I have my own theory about him abusing his wife without realising it, but for some reason I get a headache whenever I try to write it... and without me writing it down I'm not 100% convinced yet. I just want him to be forgiven because I love him 😌 very much looking forward to Cat! Amane from here on I will be voting unforgiven. I don't think the pressure will ease tbh, we're proving to her that people can be forced to join her cult through threats/violence, completely affirming what the cult told her. As I said, Kotoko big agree. Her mv showed us her carefully hunting these people, yet in Milgram shes torturing people because a 15 yr old just said they're bad... she's no longer a cool vigilante and just a cop :( she needs to calm tf down agree.
It's nice seeing what others are voting!! Can definitely see why you've voted the way you have, even if I disagree with em. Looking forward to talking about this in futute with you when their mvs come out!
Hey hey! Was wondering what you've voted each milgram character so far? (And why you voted them that if it's not too much to write lol)
hi! i actually only got into milgram in july so I didn’t get the opportunity to vote, but I did make a list of what I would have voted them and why before I found out the results :o i have no idea how to make this into a read more post so sorry to make a wall of text
trial 1
haruka: forgiven & direct murder - terrible mental state and looks like abuse or something happening. wanted to see what good mental health would look like for him and what information you get
yuno: forgiven & indirect - wasn’t sure if she killed her boyfriend or if she killed a baby, probably desperation either way. started reading theories after this and thought that she was just young and in a bad situation with the compensated dating  and possible pregnancy
futa: forgiven & indirect - firm believer that he’s just delusional and stupid. so very stupid. the fact that the tweets he’s posting before the supposed murder are all about moral justice leads me to believe it was a case of caught up in the moment, and the video game scenes made me think he has no grip on reality. after the “monster” is killed and he has blood on his face he looks terrified and has a reality check, so when the scene switches to real life there’s no body behind him. then he’s holed up terrified in a blanket. i think he’s dumb and delusional and an sjw and i don’t think he deserves a death penalty just a serious talking to
mu: unforgiven & direct - i did feel very sorry for her but after reading the stuff on the chalkboard and also the fact that the purple girl didn’t seem to be involved in the bullying (also the voice drama lmao), it seems like a case of an entitled rich kid who got bullied for that and took it out on the girl
shidou: unforgiven & what the fuck - my original theory was that he was either stealing organs from his patients and pretending that they had grave illnesses, or he was allowing patients that were very ill to die instead of helping them and then taking their organs. he used them on the flower person. didn’t understand the point of meta voting at this stage but now that i do i’m curious for the second trial
mahiru: forgiven & no idea - i actually thought she was dating the crush at first and on day 16 with food he came home with another girl and she killed one of them, but now i’m thinking that she probably stalked him and he committed or something? either way i think she’s delusional someone save her. she’s really such a sweet person that i couldn’t fathom her doing something with a full intention to kill
kazui: forgiven & indirect - i thought his wife committed. i didn’t understand his mv lol so i had no clue
amane: forgiven & direct - i will die on the hill that she is innocent. she was either an abused and brainwashed child who was manipulated into killing someone outside the cult, or she tried to escape by murdering them (though she’s still spouting their values so i guess the first one). either way it’s so not her fault idc what she says. she needs therapy
mikoto: unforgiven & direct - kinda obvious since we saw the video but i’ve absorbed so much analysis of mikoto that i really did want to forgive him. he needs so much help. im going to lock him in inpatient care
kotoko: unforgiven & direct - i noted that she was taking a moral standpoint but the difference between her and futa was that she was actively going out and hunting people down with a bat
trial 2
haruka: idk - going back and forth for the 50/50 but also i can’t decide. i think i want to do innocent again, idk. i think if he feels loved he might start getting better ?? he killed out of neglect right. also i have just been informed that it’s possible that they could harm eachother or themselves and that is Worrying
yuno: inno - saw her mv but it’s not out so i won’t really touch on it. she doesn’t want to be forgiven but.. sorry
futa: inno - his song preview isn’t really clear but i still agree with my 1st trial opinion
mu: guilty - chill out girl
shidou: guilty - he said he’s guilty i believe him
mahiru: inno - PLEASE DON’T KYS
kazui: guilty - what in the world. cat is going to be such an interesting mv, probably very revealing
amane: inno - what the fuck. therapy please amane im begging. maybe if she gets inno the pressure of her cult will ease off and she’ll improve........
mikoto: inno ??? - still unclear which alter did the murder but i don’t think it was as villainous as the mv portrayed it. miko2 appears to be a protective alter and if miko1 was in some kind of percieved danger idk if i can fault that. and miko1 has serious mental health issues so really i just want to send him to therapy. actually if miko3 exists he needs help too. send all of them to therapy. please.
kotoko: guilty - STOP????? you are not saving the world girl please calm your ego
