are you still gonna support them even if they never address anything/the accusations turn out to be true?

depends which accusations. a lot of them are misinterpretations or regurgitating what others have said as Truth (eg about the stage gay with ryan being “ryan being sexually assaulted by brendon every night,” “fetishizes lesbian/bi women” when he’s attracted to confident bi women who know what & who they like, jokes, using barsexual to describe some women when he’s used it to describe himself and guys he’s made out with too, saying him repeating the word tranny to explain what an asshole the guy who used it was him using it himself as a slur against someone). a couple accusations are mild, nonsexual, in a public context touches that people were ok with for years until this summer.

some of the accusations are by men saying they know women/girls who say they were assaulted by b. one of them is homophobic, misogynist, and racist himself, and the other is shane morris (more of the same, plus violent including rape fantasies that he’s spewed on fob and panic fandom, plus he’s been caught in serious lies before) so... i question their honesty. a lot. 

i used to be more angry at b not addressing the accusations, but it seems there’s a lot of them, and the accusations of in person inappropriateness and assault have all been anonymous and most have been drive-bys that the accuser no longer stands by, has deleted, etc. leah’s story honestly reads like fanfic and there are details that defy credulity eg that she was loitering inside after, that some guy came up to her and invited her back into a room with b. kam’s story was... that b, drunk and/or high, hit on him rather mildly for his drunken state eg *looked at him* in a sexual manner?, asked if he was into dudes. the reaction to it eg wanting to run off, feeling sick, running off, feeling disgusted with himself, seems over the top, unless he was previously sexually abused/traumatized by an older male and/or if he was under 16 (if so, it’s understandable and b shouldn’t have tried anything if he was under 16). it says he told him he was a minor, but how old? minor could even be under 21. even if 17, b just turned 22 the day before. he was able to easily get away. (i suspect unresolved trauma from someone else sexually abusing them is what’s really going on here and that this meeting either didn’t happen or happened very differently from how they claim. some have challenged the possibility of it happening at all given the where of a train station, the timing, etc..)

prettyoddfever, who has followed them since fever era, also explained in another post that these accusations have been cropping up from the get go, but would be usually quickly challenged by other fans there who saw eg girls saying they were touched inappropriately/sexually by a band member during a meet n greet, waiting outside the venue to see them, etc. 

the most solid ones they should address is breezy’s revelations about zack, because those are undoubtedly true eg sexually harrassing her, bullying dallon. the worst of his tweets should be addressed too as they are undoubtedly true too eg telling a pregnant woman’s friend he only helped her because he thinks “preggos” are hot, the nude wallpaper (even if he’s saying don’t send nudes, screen-shooting them before they disappear and posting them, blurred or not, is not ok), that very misogynist one saying that females control males with our vulvas/vaginas from young girlhood.

i actually think b’s friendship with zack is the strongest piece of evidence against b, so far anyway, because most of what zack’s accused of is verifiable (breezy’s screenshots, the tweets, him being a dick to dallon in a periscope, what breezy has said is also very very credible and in line with what we’ve seen). guilt by association isn’t always on, but in clear cases like this, of repeated “bad things” over a decade, yep, it is. the question is how much he knew. obviously he’s not stalking zack’s twitter or phone or breezy’s phone. but he’d know/hear/see some things. and i think zack probably gaslights and lies to and hides from him some too, although i don’t think it’s a pat “zack groomed and was abusing b since he was 16!!!!” like some claim (eg he didn’t meet him until he was 18 or 19).

lana was the closest for the b accusations, because she had a casual sexual relationship with him in 07, but she stepped back from things once she realized a catfisher, probably chelsey, was duping her and others online until 2016. if she decided to speak out now about what happened in 07, i’d absolutely believe her, but what actually happened there is up in the air eg she still stands by the open letter being mostly untrue, written by someone else, with inside jokes. 

if anyone else actually puts their identity out there in discussing this, i’ll default believe them too. ciara did, but current and former friends quickly challenged her as i explained in a couple other posts, and she herself backed out on accusing him of doing anything purposeful. i’d also probably believe someone who came forward by name as a witness. cash cooligan and alex from the cab have hinted at things, but nothing concrete has come of it aside from blaming b for capitalism and the music industry and fbr, maybe b did something to alex but who the fuck knows what, and alex’s declaration to do violence to b.

depending on what it was, and how far ago, i may or may not continue with this blog/writing smut about him. considering who i do listen too, i doubt i’d stop listening to his music. think of all the rapists, abusers, etc we listen to on the regular. if i didn’t, there’d be A LOT of men’s music i couldn’t listen to eg david bowie, led zeppelin (jimmy page what the fuck), michael jackson, iggy pop, red hot chili peppers, tupac, aerosmith, paul mccartney and john lennon (although lennon became pro-feminist and improved greatly throughout his relationship with yoko ono), alice cooper, james brown, elvis, sex pistols (sid vicious, the band also defended child pornographers), motley crue, and on and on and on... check out the dreamworlds documentary series (three of them, but the third would probably be easiest to find) for some eyeopeners on male musicians from the 90s and 00s abusing women eg snoop dogg (he was a pimp before he was famous and even when famous still pimped women in pornography), limp bizcuit (literally threw lunch meat at the groupies they demeaned). kid rock is another scumbag. of course: r kelly. kid rock is just bad music too, so no hardship not listening to him. r kelly is currently a sadist daddy dom who trafficks women, makes porn of them, literally pisses on them to degrade/humiliate them, makes them ask permission to go to the bathroom even, and controls them in a cult, and has managed to be charged for some of his abuse of underage teen girls a couple times, so i don’t support him in any way, listen to his music, etc.

1) is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?

i mean.. not really. i had decided not to write any more fanfiction to focus on an original story i started but then… i wanted to get used to the setting, work through some personal stuff… kind of warm myself up while still writing the other one… so i’m writing a nurseydex lighthouse story like i said i would

my entire fanfiction.net account is bad. so so so bad. and surprisingly recent. also i HATE my early zimbits stuff, but of course one of them is like my second most popular piece so i can’t delete it. like really hate. and it’s frustrating because i have good stuff from that time period, so i don’t even fucking know what was going through my mind.

3) what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

chronological but i tend to go back and add things obsessively. i like getting the skeleton down first just to get the basic plot and know where i’m going, then i go back to add in details – the meat of the skeleton if you will… and you know i like details

4) favorite character you’ve written

any dex is my favourite, but also specifically jack from samwell gentlemen’s hockey because he cracks me up, and i really loved writing parvati in that one parvender piece. 

5) character you were most surprised to end up writing

camilla? in strange lovers i didn’t even know i was writing camilla until i realized like 3k in that my character who i’d named millie and was blonde was in fact… camilla. she snuck up on me

6) something you would go back and change in your writing that it’s too late/complicated to change now

oh… i do go back and fix things often (in strange lovers i went back to rewrite parts of ransom’s character and his role months after i originally posted it because i realized i had written some pretty shitty stuff regarding black men) but, meh, row upon row is always one i’d like… want to go back and fix, especially the rushed ending, but i can’t go back and change it now because it’s been read by too many people…

7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?

super embarrassed. only my best friend knows because she’s also a writer but i still don’t feel super comfortable talking to her about it. we’re getting there with each other. she doesn’t write fanfiction ya feel though i think she’s read some

lmao idk i like writing comedy but plot is hard so i don’t often do it. character studies i guess, AUs, angst

9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

music, and listening to people tell stories about themselves or others, just being around people is inspiring to me. i recently went to a show that was a mix of folk music and storytelling about prince edward island? and it was incredible i left there feeling so invigorated

10) write in silence or with background noise? with people or alone?

i do most of my writing in a café a minute from my apartment, with or without music depending on if my wireless headphones are dead or not, always w a blended matcha latté

11) what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?

oh man. i mean since i started writing in like, 2010? i mean, everything, obviously. but since 2015 – christ. still everything? well, definitely verb tenses/points of view/epithets/general structure and technique, definitely better at rhythm though that took some serious work and a couple stories focussed solely on rhythm and flow. i think i’m much better at nuance now – weaving different themes together to make at least a semi-coherent story… and general prose, i think. finding a balance between minimalism and appropriate imagery. i’m more comfortable playing around with grammar then i used to be. idk, i think my voice has just overall developed into something clearer and distinct from others.

12) your weaknesses as an author

plot and dialogue-heavy scenes. i like writing dialogue and i think the lines themselves are good usually, i just have a hard time, like finding the balance between dialogue, dialogue that has to accomplish something, and prose. and writing a neat point-a-to-point-b plot is a losing battle

13) your strengths as an author

i’ve been told setting, and i think that’s about right. i get obsessive about crafting like, a complete world where it feels like there are things that happen outside of the plot and the main characters. building fucking lore into the setting is the most fun for me. i think the details make the story.

15) why did you start writing?

idk i spent a lot of time on the internet and all the quote unquote cool kids were doing it. i was in a RP where we were all pretty close friends (still follow them on all social media including fb) and we just like, wrote each other fic. i was pretty good at writing before then (for a kid) and even was runner-up for a national award or something in grade six? i barely remember what it was for but i do remember the piece was called “autumn’s opus” and it was comparing the seasons to an orchestra or a piece of music idk. it was pretty killer for an 11-yr-old if i do say so myself

16) are there any characters who haunt you?

oh i don’t know about haunt but i do get sad about jack and kent all the time

17) if you could give your fledgling author self any advice, what would it be?

read your dialogue out loud to see if it sounds natural (it probably doesn’t) and put dooooown the epithets. it’s lazy writing and you don’t need them. and reread reread reread reread. in different fonts, different colours, on differents days, out loud, by different people… reread!!

18) were there any works you read that affected you so much that it influenced your writing style? what were they?

absolutely anything by fluorescentgrey but especially her historical AUs, familiar’s character designs and rawness, waspabi’s dialogue and humour, montparnasse’s prose and tenderness, misandrywitch’s everything, and this piece which inspired a tattoo and pushed me to start experimenting with my own writing a couple years ago… among many others

19) when it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?

oh i usually just give up halfway through that’s how

20) do you write in long sit-down sessions or in little spurts?

usually i go to the café and sit for like 5 hours and if i get a few hundred words out of that i’m happy

21) what do you think when you read over your older work?

ugh it’s so bad and shitty and i hate it all

22) are there any subjects that make you uncomfortable to write?

well, yeah. i don’t like writing about religion so i just… don’t, much. strange lovers had the most religion of anything i’ve ever written. and i’m cautious about writing about race though i’ve done it a few times… i don’t super like writing traditional coming-out stories because i just don’t care all that much so i’ll usually twist them around somehow if they’re necessary. 

23) any obscure life experiences that you feel have helped your writing?

all of my life experiences inform my writing. that’s not me being facetious i just mean that i really like listening to people tell stories and telling stories myself and gossiping etc that i think it’s clear that i prioritize that in my writing

24) have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story?

ah yes coal mining in 20th century nova scotia lmao

Authors Notes: I became inspired to write this after I had finished reading a marvellous Tom Hiddleston AU fic. I just had a thought what if you met your soulmate but they were too old for you? Say they were over 18 when you were under 16, how would both react and how would you both cope? Would you even like the fact you were soul-marked to each other? How would your family and your soul-marks react to this news… Set first in 2001 then jumps ahead few years every so often and then ends up in 2018 during the filming for infinity wars (Soul-Mark AU) Summary: 15 year old Abigail Matthews visits her father and step family in Scotland and get roped into helping out at the local amateur dramatics group where she meets her soul mark ‘Tom’ Pairing: OFC x Tom Hiddleston Word Count: 2,162 NO WARNING ~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 1 It is universally known that soul-marks appear on the body when a child comes into their 12th year. Now it doesn't always happen but that may come down the fact the other words have yet to be born/turn 12, in which case the older individual would have to wait. Now should you turn 12 and your words appear that means your mate is older... this happened to me… My Name is Abi Matthews. As soon as I turned 12 the words "Hello, I'm Tom, nice to you meet you, so Shannen said you can Draw?" appeared on the inside of my right lower arm, in what I can only assume was 'Tom' very neat handwriting. Now the only person I showed these words too were my mum and she instantly recommended I cover them up to avoid jealousy from others as not everyone gets their soul mark straight away and not everyone knows their name. Now I didn't get to meet my 'Tom' as I referred to him as for another 3 years after the initial appearance on my 12th Birthday, and in the summer of 2001 I did and this is the story. Now every year after my parents split up I would go visit him and my new family in Edinburgh in the summers and half terms, it was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, Rowena was a lovely lady, she didn’t treat me any differently to her own children and even suggested to my dad they find a bigger house so I had my own room instead of having to share with Susan whenever I visited. Now my dad worked as a Eduactional advisor, helping to improve schools, and because of this he was asked if he would be willing to go to another School somewhere else in Scotland and work his magic there, he accepted and that’s why they moved to Greenock from Edinburgh. Now on the fateful summer I met my soul-mark after just arriving to Greenock, Rowana announced she was getting involved in helping out the local Junior amateur dramatics group her friend Morag ran and as it was a Junior that Gavin, Susan and I must join in as it would be a great way for us to meet other kids our age, now Gavin and Susan had already met the kids in the area having already been living in Greenock for a term, this I suspected was a ploy on Rowena’s part to include me more, now I didn’t mind as much cause it beat me staying in all the time but it would mean I would not get to spend as much time with my dad while I was up in Scotland. Rowena assured me it would not take up too much of my time and knowing I was a shy thing assured me I wouldn’t have to be on stage, instead I could maybe work backstage, but said I could go for the first meeting and that if it wasn't my cup-of-tea I didn't have to go again. I said I would think about it. I did and I was kind of curious to see what they would do at this ‘amateur dramatics group’ and three days later, I’m walking into the hall where the production would eventually take place was daunting, it was huge and there were a lot of kids around my age, some younger like Susan, some older like Gavin and I didn't know anyone. As soon as we arrived Gavin and Susan went off to hang out with their friends whilst I stood with Rowena, she informed me she was just going to have ‘a wee chat��� with her friend and I was to wait here, I said that was fine. I sat on my own, I was sitting at the window and looked out at the view which was beautiful and not realising I was even doing it, got out my art book (that I carry everywhere) and the pencil that was always stuck behind my ear, and started sketching away at the landscape, I must have only been at it for a few minutes when a voice came up behind me and shocked me out of my daze, “Bloody hell you’re good” I looked up to see a small red headed girl with glasses wearing an oversized zipped coat which was fastened up to her neck, which I though was odd for the warm weather Greenock was currently having. She was looking down at me smiling, “you gonna help with the scenery?” she asked in her Scottish accent, but she continued before she gives me a chance to respond, “oooh I do hope so, we need your kinda talent, the last guy, Robbie, he upped and disappeared half way the post production last year, left me and Morag in a sticky situation I tell you,” “I don’t know, I’m not sure my mum, I mean Step-mum said I could think about it,” I replied quietly, the red headed girl sat down next to me, “Ah you’re English, I do love your accents, their so quaint,” she smiled at me again, and she looked like she was hiding something a small bit of desperation and I knew I couldn’t leave this girl alone, “please say you will, I don’t think I can do it all on my own,” she looked over at Morag who was still busy chatting away with Rowena, “keep this on the down low okay? but Morag? she told me we’re doing a Shakespeare production of a Midsummer Night Dream, and I can’t draw for shit, I’m more a painter, and well im sure you’ll be able to draw a fairy world,” “I think I could, Midsummer is actually one of my favourite of Shakespeare plays,” I admit to my new friend, “'Set your heart at rest, The fairy land buys not the child of me'” “Ya wha?” asks my Red headed acquaintance looking lost, “Sorry, it’s a quote from the play? I look up again at where Ginge had gone and noticed another woman had joined Morag and Rowena, and there was a young man standing with them aswell, the trio were talking animatly, the young man stood silently by the woman’s side, I assume she’s his mother due to similarities in their facial features and the blond hair. Ginge approaches Morag, politely interrupting the three ladies conversation, Morag turns towards her with a smile which opens out to a bigger smile, Ginge continues to talk to the ladies and I’m drawn to the young man. I was instantly knocked back by just how handsome and cute the young man was, and how tall he was too, he had blond curly hair which looked like he had attempted to brush it but lost and he was wearing a green short sleeve shirt over a white sleeve top and jeans, he turned to look towards me and It was then I got to see he had really nice eyes, like two sapphires, how I’d love to get hold of him and ask if he’ll let me draw him, he obviously noticed me staring and smiles, I blush having been caught and its then his face snaps towards something Ginge says and then he looks back at me in surprise, I smile at him, that’s when I see Morag and Rowena walking over towards me, Ginge looking from me to the young blond and grinning, I snap out of it when I hear my name, “Abi, Shannen tells me you’re on board with helping out backstage with the set design and back drops, is that correct?” asks Morag, a large Scottish lady with a jet black hair and a happy face, I slowly nod, “That’s fantastic news, so glad to have you on board, now if you’ll excuse me I shall rally the troops and introduce everyone,” Rowena gives me a huge smile and brief hug and winks at me and follows Morag on stage, along with the woman who was talking to them earlier, the young man now having disappeared. I get up out my seat and start to walk over to Ginge, but like the cute blond she too has disappeared, I decide to sit on the window sill high up so to find Shannen’s Ginger hair in the crowd only to discover most of the people here had red hair, I sit back and ponder, but not for long. Morag is on the stage and I vaguely hear her talk about how this year’s production was going to be more professional and that they had go more funding and that the lady; a Diana Hiddleston, who was an arts administrator and stage manager would be assisting in this year’s production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and that her son would be helping due to him currently studying the classics at Cambridge and was here on an advisory capacity due to his vast knowledge of Shakespeare. So the cutie knew his Bill eh? I bet he don’t know as much as me about this play, I laugh at my obnoxious thought, he goes to Cambridge Abi, of course he’ll knows more than me! And I shake my head of that silly thought. I don’t notice the unruling blond head of hair in front of me, lean against the window ledge I was sitting on till Morag finished her introduction, he turns around and looks at me, we’re about face to face now I’m higher up, he smiles at me and I’m almost knocked out by the beauty of it, he is really rather handsome, he places his hand out in front of himself, I instantly take it, "Hello, I'm Tom, nice to you meet you, so Shannen said you can Draw?" I am making payments on my car and currently have full coverage car insurance. About a week ago, I was driving my car on the freeway. It had been raining earlier that morning. A car beside me switched lanes in front of me suddenly. (She did not hit my car) but she caused me to loose control, my car hydroplaned spun out and hit the center divder on the freeway. No other cars hit me. My car has damage to the tire, rim and the right rear of my car from the back door to the bumper has scrathes and damage. I did not file a claim at first because the cost of my insurance is already $108 (because of a ticket) and I did not want it tod go up. But after paying to replace the tire, the rim and some other issues with the axile for $606....and the tow service which was $125; I'd like to know if any one has an idea of which would be more beneficial. Our family has had State Farm for 70 years now, several generations, and in the last 10 years or so we have been progressively more & more disappointed in their caring and customer service. Maybe its just the 'assistants' that my local SF agent (who never talks to his clients any more) use, they both seem to have just horrible attitutudes, sarcastic, and act like you are a complete PITA every time you call. Which of course is NOT an historic policy. You can get that on ANY extra car you have in your household even if it is a 2011 model !! She did say (and I understand this being required) that in order to have is classified as Antique/Classic/Historic, you have to have an appraisal done on the vehicle as if it just came off the show room floor -then the premiums would be much lower if you had full coverage on it, as historic/classic .
