im trying to get started on a research project but I've been taking it easy after I finally got through finals and graduated last semester, so my soul wants to jump right into it and get into the nasty math right away but my brain keeps going "please... I am mush... I do not have that much focus time in me right now"

I'm gonna WORK ON THIS!!!' and then after like an hour my brain is like 'please stop ðŸ˜'#I got so used to putting in like 5-8 hours of work time every day last semester#(and yes... actually timed 5-8 hours of work time! like I was actually working/studying during that full time!)#that I forgot the brain is a muscle and 2+ hours of intense graduate-level math is a lot#especially because I'm jumping on this research project with more senior PhD students so there's a lot of material to catch up on#like not even just the project material but actual conceptual material bc I haven't even started courses yet😿
