amazing how in the span of like a month you could see 3 different liberal democracies almost collapse in on themselves: germany's coalition broke apart bc one of the partys decided that a coup attempt with a paper called d-day would work wonders for their polls, france's parliament is trying to get rid of it's shitty prime minister so hard the left and right are cooperating, south korea's president decided to try a military coup as choice of tantrum-response to likely getting impeached

but no, there definitely isn't some issue in the current political system

#but yes liberalists are right these things definitely speak for the success of liberal democracies #like honestly i'm annoyed by the libs trying to politicize off of this #and by the tankies trying to also politicize off of this #like no this doesn't prove that the dprk is a good political system #AND IT DEFINTELY DOESN'T PROVE THAT LIBERAL DEMOCRACIES WORK #it just proves the problems liberal democracies have and the rise of fascism #and the solution to that isn't going ''praise to authoritarian regimes'' either #fucking hell how do you look at situations that could've gonna awfully downhill and go ''oh yes let me capitalize off of this'' fuck you #these things aren't an evidence of your system being great they're evidence of the current system's issues that need to be adressed #and not by just fucking switching to a totalitarian regime or smth either #i'm just annoyed idfk the past month has been a political burnout for me #can we maybe first of all be glad that no one got killed or seriously harmed and then just talk about how we got here in the first place #without instantly jumping to absolutism and populism and propaganda and god knows what #not-so-dead-salmon #politics
