Also if you really don’t want to spam, you can queue your posts so they’ll appear on your blog/followers feeds spread out over the day/week/month
seeing a lot of "why would i reblog anything i don't have something to add" like
sir this is the user-circulated content site
#also like#i don't know if new blogs are aware of how many people you generally follow to build a feed#like my dash is populated with so many diff blogs/people that someone really has to do their best for me to notice a spree#and it all has to be the same subject#bc i won't notice at all if its just random things they like#i barely look at icons#after like 7 years on this site im following around 400/500 people#a lot of those are inactive#but still it gives me enough content on my blog to be able to scroll for a couple of hours every day#so like#i really won't notice if some person gets into a new niche#and worst case ill just unfollow??#who is using tumblr only for friends and mutuals anyway#99% of the people i follow won't notice if i unfollow them at all#and ive unfollowed friends before bc i wasn't into the thing they were#and we still chat/vibe in discords?#it isn't a huge deal like facebook or twitter might be#bc tumblr is for You#it isn't as much about showing and maintaining ur personal social circles#you can do that but i do really think its important to maintain that part of tumblr culture#not all social media has to be about socializing first and foremost#tumblr is more abt socializing through community rather than individual personal connections#again#there is also that#but it isn't its primary function i feel#editing to add that apparently i do know the blogs ive followed for a long time if they keep their icons#bc now i that im watching em they're all familiar#but still i don't think i ever got annoyed at someone for reblogging something outside of their original interests
