I feel like in the Everybody Lives AU, Nathaniel would turn out to be the most physically affectionate of the group. In canon we usually didn't get to see this side of him due to needing to maintain his John Mandrake persona, but we do still get a lot more instances of him initiating physical affection than we do from other characters.

Just going off of memory, in AoS he seeks out Ms. Lutyens for a hug after his initial attempt to get revenge on Lovelace, and he hugs Mrs. Underwood after the Resistance attacks the government. Then in PG, there's that scene where he's flirting with Jane Farrar just before the frog incident, and then later on he holds Kitty's hand while she's unconscious.

Of course I don't think we get any canon instances of him being physically affectionate with Bartimaeus due to the nature of their relationship, but I'd love to see how that would have changed if Nathaniel had survived.
