nancy having had maria for a few days leading up to them getting there, knowing that marias why theyre there in the first place ( in my canon ), its just. them having to hear nancys taunts at them regarding her, at her implications that ( before finding her ) that she may actually be dead somewhere and that theyre too late, that this was all for nothing. or when they do find her, its about how pathetic and scared and weak she was. how much of a little mouse stuck in a trap she was, a moth entangled in a web -- so helpless and useless on her own. how pathetic she looked pleading to be let go, to not be hurt, etc.
