#like helaena claiming the second largest dragon in their yoke at the tender age of twelve#like that alone was so genuinely impressive to her like she 😭#helaena being a sweet happy child who befriended little creatures and seemed content to sit with her sewing#she was literally just ?#like I’ve seen some people she was fondest of her bc she wasn’t a threat when like - Not NECESSARILY . helaena’s position as the second#born daughter of his second marriage made her so far removed from the question of succession that like - she didn’t really have to worry#about politics and succession getting in the way of them building an actual genuine bond#like she was ?😭 twelve when helaena was born genuinely l have so many thoughts on how she navigates her relationships with her siblings but#a lot of it has to do with how young she was at the time like she was making mistakes with them bc she was a whole😭 child#and then to protect her own children#like she’s fully aware she’s not blameless in how their relationships turned out but it was also ?#so heavily influenced by what was going on around her when they were born like she was 12-13 when aemond was#born and like that was the year before the tourney of 111#like in those early years she’s so genuinely afraid of overstepping with them with helaena it’s easiest because they’re never discussing HER#claim to the throne
