I personally loved Season 2, it was a bit rushed but I think it suffered less for the budget cuts and limited episodes than like any other show I’ve watched tbh. The unfortunate state of modern television is they don’t have time to let character’s breathe and let the plot develop gradually, especially with a cast the size of OFMD.
Each character had a little bit this season.
Frenchie really came into his own and became my fav, he was kind of the glue that held the two disparate crews together in my opinion in really subtle ways. Like just amazing job on Frenchie.
Olu really leaned into his soft boy persona and charmed and softened not only Jim last season but Zheng this season. He was instrumental in repairing her relationship with Auntie and though I would have liked more of that for it to really pay off, like us seeing more Auntie being hard and overbearing and it’s affect on Zheng and then the reconciliation I think broad strokes it was good. I was sad at the beginning that his relationship with Jim was more queer platonic but I think they handled it super well and their bond was just as strong and important.
Jim was amazing this season, really embracing that softness and dealing with their trauma even though again I would have liked to see more. Their interactions with Zheng and Auntie were limited but critical and I don’t think the Jim of season 1 would have been able to do that if they hadn’t of grown through these past 2 seasons.
Roach didn’t have as much as the rest of the crew imo but he was definitely a bit more human and less weird feral butcher. His little spa day with Wee John was super cute.
Wee John was probably my fav this season in terms of all the little details about his growth. The knitting, the drag, the sweaters. Just chef’s kiss.
I loved the soft focus on Lucius and Pete’s relationship. How it weaved in with Lucius’s trauma and how steady Pete was throughout.
Buttons got what he wanted imo. I was disappointed he didn’t have a more central role this season but if they get a third I think he’ll be critical. But even if they don’t I’m glad he was happy.
The Swede was just so cute and I love that he was the tie to Spanish Jackie and we saw more of her and a softer her because of him.
And Izzy, omg Izzy, the complete turnaround for his character, Con’s amazing performance throughout. Truly the breakout character of the season. So much to unpack with Izzy but I wasn’t upset with his ending, it felt right to me? I know many are, and I personally don’t think it’s the end for him anyway, but even if it is, looking at him from S1 to now as a whole I felt pretty good about it even though I sobbed my eyes out. I expected him to die early on so that he got to merge with the crew and repair his relationship with Bonnet and at the end find a peace with Ed was great. Would I have liked something bigger and more impactful. Always but that was a lot to fit in and I feel like they did their best with it.
Ed and Stede’s journey was straight outta fanfic. Just hit all the notes for me, again I would have liked more but what they did was satisfying and realistic and I didn’t feel like they were missing anything as far as navigating their relationship went. I would have liked to see their conversation when they decided to start the Inn, maybe some more apologies all around, but the way it was done was fine. I think too much groveling would have made it different kind of show. A central part of this genre is that the trauma and sadness is kind of brushed by and touched on lightly but not a central point you wallow in because it is ultimately a comedy show that is more silly than serious.
I love that they ended on a note we the audience could be satisfied by but still left doors open for a 3rd season. I am always terrified in sophomore seasons of cliffhangers and unresolved nonsense that we never get solved so to end it there was perfect for me.

I know I feel bad when I get barely any questions for ask games I reblog, so here ya are. feel free to ignore any you don't want to answer: 6, 7, 9, 19, 22, 23, 30, 34, 35, 36, 42, 43, 46, 48
6. What is a fandom you will never write for? & 7. What is a ship you will never write for?
Combining my answer for these... I mean, there's nothing that I've like, sworn off, I basically write whatever I'm in the mood for. Chances are I'll never write for like, Crow/Squirrel for instance cause I'm just really not into it, but who knows how I'll feel three months from now.
In terms of fandoms, warriors and zyxx (the only two things i've written for recently, though i've done other stuff in the past) both are fun to write for because their worlds are giant sandboxes, and because I have so much encyclopedic knowledge about both of them that I feel like I can weave a compelling tapestry that's like, an interesting response to canon. Anything else I write for will almost definitely have to have those two factors as well, because that's what makes fanfiction fun for me. The only other media that have those things going for them at the moment are like, the hunger games and maybe riverdale. So it's not that I would never write for whatever other fandoms, I just.. probably won't
9. What are your favorite fanfics?
Okay I'll try to be fairly brief here cause I love a LOT of fics hahaha. also only listing warriors fics i do have favs in other fandoms but not really for almost any that i ever talk about on this blog so it wouldn't be relevant to you guys' interests
After Hours With the Moon by Acaeria was, I think, the first fic I read after returning to the WC fandom and it BLEW MY MIND. Absolutely my favorite Ivypool fic of all time
Butterflies and Hurricanes by RavenDreamer which I need to catch up on (and probably reread as well) but the plot twists here are PHENOMENALLY well executed and I absolutely fucking love what they did with Sol
Muffle by Pondfrost/AkitsuneLune (RIP) which is the best take on Blossomfall ever, period, end of story, and also tackles themes of mental health and trauma so powerfully and beautifully it's. very good.
Simpler Times by Haroldosaur. it's just genuinely SO fun and also an amazing take on bramble & squirrel's personalities and dynamics in early TNP. This is like my one fic that I drop everything to read whenever it updates lol
the dead below the earth (and the living here above) by vox_nihilio is just like. FIRESTAR MY BELOVED. legit it's so rare to see fic focused in on him as a character at all let alone anything this brilliantly well realized. The thing they do with the tree falling alone is just like chef's kiss
19. Dead or overused tropes?
In WC fandom? Fix-it fic lol. At this point I think literally every conflict that's ever been presented in canon has been undone by people in fic a dozen different times in a dozen different ways. I mean I get that people like it for a reason and I'm absolutely not gonna stop anyone from writing or reading what they like, and I've even written a good chunk of what could essentially be called fix-it fic myself, but I am just personally tired of clicking on AUs and rewrites and finding that there's actually like... no plot because there are no problems in this version of the world. Maybe that's more a problem of improper tagging than an overused trope though lol
22. Do you listen to music during your writing process? What music do you listen to while you’re writing?
answered here!
23. Long chapters or short chapters?
I have definitely developed a tendency towards longer chapters lol. With Brighter Fires especially I've gotten into the habit of writing each chapter to essentially be a self-contained story, a kind of individualized 'episode' in the longer game, and that means that a lot of the time there's just a lot of shit to get through in each chapter to complete a full narrative arc. Also I have nothing against minimalism, it can be really great and I love Raymond Carver/Gordon Lish, etc etc, but I find that when I try to write that way it often comes off as kind of pretentious and false, so my avoiding that also naturally makes things longer.
30. What writing software do you use?
for bigger projects (brighter fires, golden hathor, etc), i use smartedit writer. otherwise i'll mostly just write in libreoffice which is my default word processor.
34. How did you find the magical world of fanfics?
IIRC my parents actually directed me to a Harry Potter fansite when I was like 7, I read one fic on there and thought it was the bomb (in retrospect.. it was not! it was a really shitty self-insert fic) and a couple years later I found FFN and got really into Warrior Cats fic, the rest is history.
35. What is your favorite review?
Oh man I literally have screenshots of over 50 comments saved in a folder on my laptop, I'm not going to dig them up right now but I might make a post of the highlights later
36. Did you ever delete a work of yours?
Sometime in high school i completely purged my first FFN account out of embarrassment. otherwise, i try to make a point of not deleting things once i've posted them. and even then i've reuploaded one of those old purged fics to AO3 and may someday reupload the rest, even though they're obviously fairly garbage lol
42. Rudest review?
Oh god I don't have any screencaps and I deleted them but I've gotten at least a couple of apparently well-meaning comments on but i've got an angry heart which basically consisted of "good writing, but breezepelt is still just a whiny spoiled brat in canon." which is already rude as hell, but my AN for that story literally explicitly states that I relate to him because I had an abusive parent like... why lmao
43. Guilty pleasure tropes and scenarios?
I mean I try not to be guilty about the things I like but
Really dark hurt/comfort or whump or whatever you wanna call it. I have to be in a very specific mood to want to read or write it but when I am in that mood. pain time. i generally don't post most of what i write that falls in this category though because when i'm not in the mood for it i really don't wanna look at it
46. Few long essay reviews or many short reviews?
Probably few long essay reviews just because i fucking love it when people point out the parts they liked to me, it always makes me look back at my own writing with new eyes. But honestly I am overjoyed whenever anyone so much as looks at my writing lol. Getting a kudos email from Ao3 is often the highlight of my day
48. What is your favorite sentence that you’ve used in a fanfic?
OK I'm going to have to do a lot more than one here cause. come on
I still love "She stares at the reflection of the stars on the water wondering if her father’s soul went up when he died, or if he sank to the bottom of the lake like a fucking rock, and wondering if she hates him or if that’s too much like hating herself" from like father, like daughter. in many ways, it's the thesis statement of that fic and I really think the understated irony married to genuine emotion is super fitting.
I'm also inordinately fond of "At best, you’re a dead weight and at worst, he’s nuts" from and if it's not tonight. I was doing some experimental things with POV and I'm honestly still not sure if it really worked but I just loved the concept of what I was doing so much.
"He just lets himself feel it and experience it, the smile and the dark and the warmth and the touch all at once, thrumming with discovery, glowing with joy" from i am afraid to own a body. That fic has serious issues but I still adore it because I feel like the emotions ring true and this particular sentence really captures that.
"Destroyed eyes, shredded ears, chunks of torn flesh, guts spilling onto the ground – she had seen all of it and matched each red problem to the springs of green, yellow, orange that could solve it" from violent ends. That fic was another experiment but a more successful one IMO, and I'm super proud of this imagery.
"With a flourish of his tail and a cold flash in his baby-blue eyes, he says, “Consider it a welcome gift.”" from and i'm committing arson. I mean I truly love just about every other line in that fic because I really let myself go crazy with the ~literary~ phrasing and purple prose imagery and layered dialogue but this one just really works for me on many different levels, like I could talk about it a lot more but I'm not going to subject anyone to that.
"the night wind blows cold over his skin, carrying a scent of something unfamiliar, the moor, or maybe the mountains, or something further than that" from upon dead minds because i wrote it in the span of like. maybe a couple hours while i was procrastinating on homework and i really wasn't expecting it to be any good but now every time i think about it i have a lot of emotions and in some ways this line sums up why.

Starco Fic Recs
Disclaimer: This list is largely curated to my own personal preferences (minimal feelings angst, minimal AUs, character development >>> plot) and has a fairly high bar for quality in characterization, etc. There will likely be many popular/beloved fics that I really don’t think highly of at all and therefore don’t make the cut. Feel free to DM me things you think I should consider adding, but I make no promises.
And of course I’d be flattered if you gave my own works a chance - stop by my About Me section for links! Thus far I’m particularly proud of the post-canon series I just started in collaboration with an awesome team, The Greatest Gift.
(Updated 9/26 - I decided to redo the list since people might appreciate seeing it in the tags again. To anyone whose own work is featured here that I haven’t personally responded to - I’m a tough critic with a lot of strong personal preferences so PLEASE do not take my gripes as condemnations of your skills - if they make the list at all, I think they’re worth a read!)
See below for the very thorough list!
Bolded titles indicate must-read.
Italicized titles indicate work is incomplete (in the case of continuous stories).
Asterisks indicate new additions from last update (3 for brand new, 1 for status update).
I’ve VERY loosely organized the categories by personal priority order this time around, but read the descriptions and decide for yourself!
Must-Reads
Forevermore - A Starco wedding story (with a bit of Jantom as well). Simply one of the best fics I’ve read in the fandom. I have no meaningful criticism to give it, and that’s the highest praise I can possibly give something.
Monarchs of Mewni (+ Traditionally Lovingly Yours) - A series of chronologically disconnected oneshots set years after the show. The backstory is very dated given how long ago it started (Jarco was kinda serious for a few years, Tomstar v2 never happened, etc) but overall it’s lovely. Has a bit of plot, a bit of Jantom, a lot of other character interactions, and a boatload of Starco - plus a Starco kid who is a decently developed character but also doesn’t just take over and crowd out Star and Marco themselves! That alone deserves merit.
Ruined - Aftermath of a hypothetical return of Monster Arm. Angst with a happy ending (and one of the few angsty fics that gets my seal of approval), so read this extra early if that’s more your schtick than mine.
study buddies - Y’know what, fuck it, I’m putting this here. It’s a short ball of Starco fluff but it’s one of the sweetest and fluffiest fluffballs I’ve seen in a long time and it’s very emotionally immersive and y’all needa read it.
*When Two Worlds Collide - One of my favorite postcanon series thus far. I admit I’m really not big on “magic returns!” plots in postcanon (which this has), and the sections that focus on that are hit or miss for me, but overall it has some of the funnest and cutest characterization and gags I’ve seen in any SVTFOE fic, ever. Absolutely worth following (and it has a fair amount of art to go along with it!)
***Star Chef - Oneshot (two chapters, so twoshot technically?) set in the same universe as Starlight Justiciar (see below) and is just a day in the life of Star and Marco. Goes absolutely above and beyond at emotional immersion and little nuances and details to bring the world and characters to life, which elevates it to something special to me.
Light of the Sun and Stars - (Promoted to Must-Read!) One of the few heavily divergent AU fics I care for. Marco is an orphan raised by monsters, and meets Star after running away. Just finished its “first season” and I've loved the recent chapters, am very excited to see where it goes.
*Don’t You Let Me Go - Wonderfully fluffy post-Cleaved Starco, one of my favorite oneshot “epilogues”.
i want to tell you (but i don’t know how) - Post season 3 fic detailing the growth of Star and Marco’s relationship. It’s spectacular writing and shows off a lot of the true depth of Starco beyond just being cute.
Adult - NSFW warning, non-explicit (aged-up characters). It’s a story about the journey towards Star and Marco’s first step into adulthood together - it’s not graphic and way more focused on the emotions involved, but it still is definitely more explicit than your average FFnet rated-T fic. If sexual themes ain’t your thing, I totally respect that, but this is a charming and funny piece of writing.
Lawchan’s various oneshots - There isn’t a great compilation for them right now so the best I can do is give you her tag for it and you can comb through it yourself. I like some more than others here, but they’re all very well-written - my only gripes with some of them are my own tastes in subject matter, so have fun perusing this on your own.
I Will Always Be There For You - A really pure and wholesome Starco oneshot. Very well-written.
Post-Canon Series to Follow
I figured with the show being over, and so many people starting their own series, I should include a lot of them here even if I’m personally not the biggest fan just to help gather them up so people can decide for themselves. Little bit looser on judgment here.
*Life on Earthni A to Z - Non-chronological postcanon slice of life oneshots, Starco and some Globclipsa and Jantom. Overall really good so far, one of my favorites in terms of direction.
*When Dimensions Cleave (sequel - Unforgettable Getaway) - Another postcanon series hellbent on bringing back magic queen lore, but it has some solid Starco fluff still. Credit where it’s due, the “Star constantly freaking out over what a horrible person she was” bit that I called preachy in the prior rec post gets somewhat less preachy and does end up actually going somewhere as part of character development, but I’m left scratching my head at how they all act sometimes. The good parts are certainly good, though, and in terms of quantity of lovey dovey Starco, it really can’t be beat (especially the sequel) and that’s worth something by itself.
We’re a Miracle - Extra adorkable postcanon fluff. Lighter on the “but ACKSHUALLY MAGIC IS BACK” stuff compared to the others, but it’s there, like almost every postcanon fic in existence.
Star vs the Sands of Time - Heavy politic/lore postcanon fic, not my fav but if that’s more your thing then great. Has some casual Starco too.
Goodbye Isn’t Forever - More POV dives into Cleaved.
Fake Proposal - Some decent jokey but cute fluff
The Stars Above - Some exploration of Earthni
New World - A bit over-the-top meta, but fun fluff
The Starlight Justiciar - Four years after canon, some social change plot stuff and some decent Starco. Not the biggest fan of some of the plot stuff but check it out for yourself!
Starco vs the Forces of Evil - Another collab fic/art thing. Fair warning, I really am not personally a huge fan of a lot of the characterization and plot decisions here (see my notes on Sign of the Moon waaaay down below) but decide for yourself, don’t let my pickiness dictate your own preferences!
Ready For The Future - Technically a oneshot (with some Starco) but sets up some Mina plot, if you’re interested in more give it a follow/review.
Worlds Together - Some Starco and exploration of Earthni.
Epilogue - Some Starco and exploration of Earthni.
***A Dark Horse - Has a few really nice lovey dovey Starco bits but also lots of superdrama with politics stuff. There’s a lot of fics here that I honestly just windowshop the scene I like for a quick fix of dopamine every now and then and skim at most otherwise, and this is one.
Revolution - end of canon AU where Moon is as anti-monster as Mina, dark as fuck. Only putting it here cuz some of y’all angstlords might like it.
Shorter Works/Oneshot Collections
I’ll Carry Your World - Big ole’ ball of wonderful Starco fluff with an important moment between them (written before end of show so a bit divergent).
***LoveIsTheStrongestKindOfMagic - Very short and basic fluff.
Starco Week 5 (Hugs Included) - Some of it is postcanon Earthni oneshots and others are from the Light of the Sun and Stars AU (see above). Great author, fun as hell writing style.
Fragile - Star worries about keeping her boyfriend Marco safe.
Complete - An older Star reflects on her past and present. Short and sweet.
Knighthood - Simple fluff piece on if Star and Marco got together after Storm the Castle.
Too Hot to Move - Star and Marco try to survive a heat wave on Earthni. Also funny fluff.
Marco Make-out Mayhem - Star really likes kissing Marco. Funny fluff.
Cleaved Together - NSFW warning, non-explicit (aged up) - Star and Marco’s first time. Very very overly focused on the whole purity/sacredness of first time thing, but still pretty cute.
Like Us - Really nice, sweet casual reflection on her life with Marco from a future Star’s POV.Toothpaste Kisses - Short fluff about its title.
A Friend’s Memento - Starco fluff with some reflection on the results of destroying magic
Plum Pie - Some goofy antics and hurt/comfort.
Not Losing You - A little dive into Marco’s POV at the end of Cleaved. Also adds a kiss.
We Belong Together - More speculative slightly angsty comfort/fluff.
Enough - A nice study of the emotions and thoughts during the last scenes of Cleaved, adds some depth to it.
Heartless - A bit of angst over magic going away with some sweet Starco comfort.
Together - Post-Cleaved Starco megafluff.
My Prince - Starco fluff set in a world where they were together before Cornonation.
Dancing with a Star - Starco fluff from alt S4.
Love in the Time of Pancakes - Written hours after my last update of the list, another little ditty based on the pancake promo.
Pancakes - Fluffy S4-promo-based little oneshot.
Hers - Hurt/comfort/confession-y fic, has some really nice moments and shows off a lot of how much they care about each other. Nice to see after such a drought.
Someone to Stay - Another hurt/comfort fic, nice and simple.
A Viola, a Violin, and a Butterfly’s Sword - some nonlinear oneshots about Starco. Some kinda weird directions gone in with the “plot” but it’s pretty good overall.
Falling - One of many, many fics from throughout the fandom’s history about Star and Marco getting together. Short and sweet.
forget about white horses & once upon a time - Drabble collection of various moments scattered throughout Star and Marco’s lives. Cute fluff.
The One Where I Thought I Lost You - Post-BFM fic where Marco realizes his feelings for Star earlier. Very wholesome.
christmases when you were mine - Established relationship fluff.
lightning in your veins, thunder in your heart - Post-season 3 established relationship fluff (slightly divergent, written before 3B).
once upon a december - Established relationship fluff.
Flags - Alternate rendition of the episode “Flags” with Starco.
Spells and Hot Chocolate - Wintry fluff.
5 Ways to Say ‘I Love You’ - Post BFM with some events in Star and Marco’s lives.
You’re My Wish Come True - This is just indulgent Starco trash. I won’t even argue for the characterization/writing quality, this is just a straight-up guilty pleasure.
Wands and Nachos - ^
The Princess and the Safe Kid - ^
A Day in the Life of Starco - ^
A very Starco Xmas - ^
Could It Be -^
All the times Star wore Marco’s hoodie - ^
Protect Me, Squire - ^
Crushed - Star and Marco both get turned down by their respective crushes and find comfort in each other.
Stay - Cuddly fluff. There’s another Stay out there which I frankly can’t stand with will-they-won’t-they melodrama out the wazoo, so don’t get confused.
Longer Series
*The Inescapable Us - Really tropey miscommunication will-they-won’t-they type of thing. Not my fav, especially now that the show is over and finished that leg of Star and Marco’s story once and for all (I’m personally WAY less interested in things that redo something canon already did). However, where it’s at now has some really good Starco moments. Fully admitted that I hella skimmed most of it until the parts I enjoyed, but And if you’re more fine with that type of thing then you’ll probably really like it, it’s well-written otherwise.
Together We Fall - Throwback S2 AU fic where Star and Marco go to the dance together instead and Toffee makes moves earlier. Gets kinda dark but has a lot of nice Starco along the way.
Safer, Sorrier - A recent rewrite of an older fic, Better Safe Than Sorry, where Star has to leave early to become queen and Marco is alone for a few months before they reunite. A very dated premise (post season 1 ish) but quite good.
Sugar and Spice - NSFW warning, non-explicit (NOT aged-up characters). In this fic, Star and Marco have gotten together after BFM, and a spell gone wrong leads to Mewberty relapses with obvious consequences. This fic has adorable Starco moments, but what I love this for above all is the other character interactions (especially Glossaryck and Star’s parents). This is probably a controversial add-on to the list, but I stick by my decision - if the subject matter isn’t your thing, then by all means avoid it.
Beyond Dimensions - Plotfic + established Starco where some ancient sorceress has to trap Star to escape and try to take over Mewni. Maybe y'all are more into plot stuff than me but the Starco that’s there is quite good regardless.
Starfall - NSFW warning, explicit (aged-up characters). Probably the most popular one to make the cut. Star and Marco are forced apart and have to find their way back together. Very old fic, lot of dated stuff here, and the narration and plot itself can get kinda questionable sometimes, but it has a lot of good Starco and some interesting plot elements that make it, in my opinion, worth a read despite a lot of flaws. A few epilogue chapters contain rather explicit sexual content, so be wary of that (and the epilogue itself after Ep 6 kinda transitions into a nextgenverse, so maybe just skip that entirely).
The Star Butterfly Effect - The sole fic on the list that is purely plot-based, with very little actual Starco development whatsoever. I can’t even really explain it, just give it a shot and see what you think; I was rather engrossed by the plot, and that’s rare for me.
The Princess and her Knight, Return of the Empire The former fic in this series is way more character-based, while the latter is very heavy plot stuff. Pretty decent character writing with some fluff. There’s a third that I honestly can’t recommend because I completely dropped it because it was just a nonstop war story.
Experimental - REALLY heavy, dark AU where Star and Marco are tortured and corrupted. It’s pretty decent.
Blood Moon Blitz - Alt BFM fic of Marco going to fight Toffee with Star. unfortunately dropped without completing, but what’s there is pretty solid.
Read at Your Own Risk…
The Sign of the Moon, The Dance of the Stars - Starts post-3A, involves the growth of Star and Marco’s relationship as they take on foes in and out of the castle and learn more about the Blood Moon. This series is rather… melodramatic, and there were some chapters and character interactions I flat out did not enjoy reading. But some people aren’t as strict on character interpretations as I am and would love such a long plot-based Starco fic, so overall I still will at least list it and let you decide for yourself. There might be a third entry in this series now, but I dropped it before then.
Photos - I hesitate to include this one here because the “Tom is a perfect angel who must sacrifice his love for Star” thing pisses me off. But just skip all that (and ignore the random “a part of me will always love Tom” line) and it’s a really nice post-s3 confession fic.

meet the mun
NAME: Kaitlyn / Kitkat! Kit or Kat are default nicknames I usually go by if you prefer those~
PRONOUNS: She / Her
ZODIAC SIGN: Taurus
TAKEN OR SINGLE: Single and looking respectively from afar while I finish college~
——— THREE FACTS!
I probably would have a completely different life right now if I didn’t discover Love Live and decided on rping Kotori ( I can also say similarly about wanting to reconnect with friends via GBF and picking up Diantha as a muse! ).
I will always default to the idol-type as my first fav character in a game ( hence my love for Diantha and my current love for Barbara in Genshin ); if no idol-types are present or they’re all idols, I default to the “trying to lock away negative feelings and/or root for their friends’ dreams as the best friend cinnamon roll” types *points at my best girls*
I accidentally mis-tapped and spent money on Revue Starlight Re:Live the day it came out, because it was 3am and it shoved the level up buying things pop-up in my face, and I wanted to click away but instead paid for Whaling. ( Added fun fact - The only games I’ve knowingly spent my own money on have been Love Live ( SIF and AS ) and GBF, and even then I’ve never Whaled. All my other money things were from free money doing Google Rewards surveys~ )
——— EXPERIENCE!
PLATFORMS USED: Tumblr, twitter, discord (newest > oldest)
——— MUSE PREFERENCE!
GENDER : Females. There’s not a solid concrete reason I can say as to why besides I just feel like I can represent them better, get a bit more attached to muses I can see myself as and most of those were just girls for awhile, and also early in my second era of rp I was just into idol anime and Idolmaster SideM wasn’t a glimmer in my eye then, nor had any other male idol-types caught my eye, so *shrugs*.
LEAST FAVOURITE FACE(S) : *points at hentai* Though in seriousness, I don’t think I have a least favorite face? If you’re just super generic I probably won’t remember you, but that doesn’t make me dislike it either? Only if it looks like the artists have lost all consistency and hope will I then dislike something.
MULTI OR SINGLE: Both? I feel there are a lot of elemental factors, especially in what fandoms you’re rping and what groups of rping you meet and/or become friends with. I find both my stand alone Diantha blog and this multi very nice, and I understand the pros and cons of both, from exposure of muses to keeping up with threads. Those pros and cons led me to putting Kotori and Lillian ( my oldest rp blog and first ever OC if you don’t start at the Very very beginning --- ) on this multi, and also why Diantha is her own thing. And in terms of interacting I’m fine with both there as well!
——— FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT.
FLUFF : We love her; yes great content *chef kiss*. Too much of it, or it feeling just like A Lot of sugar with not a lot of substance ( like a candy sugar skull cookie except it’s not a cookie it’s literally just sugar formed into the shape of a skull, and you never thought you’d grimace or get so tired of sugar until you ate that --- true story ) can get a bit dry, which was one of my main problems with some of my previous blogs, even though I do just love mindless fluff sometimes too. Now you may look at my threads right now and think “Hey but wait, there’s just so much fluff here?”, and yes, but there’s Substance and Character to make this a real cookie! I feel that also does just come from what I seek to write as a writer and what I want from another; I want to bake a cookie with friends, not marvel at sugar on a sheet.
ANGST : See cookie analogy above, but instead of sugar it’s the flour and baking soda; the weighty stuff that can really weigh down a cookie...Or mind, if you rp too much of it or if the cookie is a bit too dry. You could also see both angst and fluff as the oven, where it can be very warm and lovely, but too much of it can burn you out ( and possibly burn cookies; boo ). I actually used to do a lot of angst when I was younger, but I basically learned to write novella / multi-para style from when I first started using blogs to really flesh out characters and thoughts, and also fluff was sprinkled in, either with the angst to create hurt / comfort or in different threads to keep up variety. So I could never really get bored of angst ( i used to call myself the queen of angst; i was very funny ) because I kind of developed my style through it and had other things and feelings to bounce off of. And I’d like to say that’s how my writing still is, though I do more so lean into fluff territory when starting threads and leave angst for drabbles, and dabble in hurt / comfort in between. So I just have a soft spot for both, and my cookie analogies still stand~
SMUT : I have never smutted; not once; I’m a puritan at heart. ( That said I have wanted to attempt actual smut threads on occasion, and have made some choice headcanons with some muses, some not even my own! ).
PLOT / MEMES : I think everyone loves a good lil meme and a good lil idea to start things off, or to just write out something in general~ They vary from writing exercises to deep dives of either character or writing style for me ( as at least Wars can attest, i can go Hard on a drabble prompt ), and I love them so much ( so much so that even i make them now follow that blog for content if you wanna~ )
