read cloverfield kishin this morning before taking a five hour “nap” and it was fun for like. if u want a little cloverfield lore although it isn’t considered canon for the cloververse or whatever..it was good in some part and straight up bad in others lol but i do enjoy a good emotional journey that ties in with the monster

#umm it felt kinda weak but i don’t have the brain cells to describe how. maybe it was the pacing idk it was very short so #main character went through oen hell of an emotional journey in like. a few hours lmao #like imagine ur a depressed high schooler and suddenly there’s a monster attack so u go home and get abducted by a cult #that ur mom was a part of and learn that she secretly implanted a monster remote control in ur body and then ur distant dad saves u #out of nowhere and just shoots all the cultists and he makes some poorly done last second amendments for being a bad father #before decided to do a father/son suicide and detanating the bomb strapped to his chest but a giant MONSTER hand shields i from the blast an #and now both ur parents are dead and you’ve become evil suddenly and decide to hurt the world that hurt u and u make the parasites toy with #ur bully’s like a cat toying with pray but then the plot devicey girl who exists for the sake of ur character development punches u and ur #normal now bc u have a crush on her but then the monsters stop listening to u bc the bond of ur bloodthirsty rage has been severed and yall #aren’t on the same page anymore so u cut ur hair (symbolic) and go out to give the monster remote control back to the large scale aggressor #and it’s underbelly feeding tubes extract the control and it suddenly feels all of the pain in ur life and u finally have something that und #understands u and it goes in a momentary fit of distress due to the emotional pain before settling down back in the ocean and going back to #sleep and u float up on a piece of driftwood and ur bullys r nice to u know bc they had a shitty redemption arc called we were cornered #by parasites together and didn’t actually apologize after doing awful things to u so we r friends now.#....anyway .#txt
