oooooooo writing concepts. transmigration into the protagonists place and thinking everything will be easy but just absolutely messing everything up. 'this happened in the book' but thats wrong it was actually this other thing that happened. it becomes clear that the isekai'ed reader actually has no reading comprehension whatsoever

#ramblings #is this anything #also if anybody has story recs where this happens obvi i would be interested #but like. this does seem like it would be a fine line to write without making fun of readers in a negative way #like if its to be written the new protag has to still be genuinely likeable and able to be rooted for i think?#would be interesting in an allegorical dissection of expectations of the 'best' way for things to go vs the human way #ie people fail sometimes and may not live up to expectations and the best laid plans go awry but things can still turn out ok #etc etc etc #gaining writing comprehension through living through the events of the book etc #that or if the reader thinks they could do better in the situation bc of foresight #them living through the experience helps them realize that expecting inhumanely perfect actions will cause a crisis of self #and in the process gains further empathy for ppl in situations different to them etc etc etc
