I would just like to confidently state after watching Third Body Problem that--as someone who has had a floater in their left eye for a year that is large enough to block words while reading--that everyone who ended their work or killed themselves because of the countdown in their vision were weak.

#come at me sophon #try your worst #like i wouldnt take the excuse of “aliens dont want me to work anymore? ok!” and pack it in immediately #though i would definitely have liked to be on that probe buildig team #who fucked up the quality control on the tethwr mounts? and why werent they crosstrapped so there wasn't a single point of failure?#i feel like if they had put the curiosity lander team on thia project it wouldnt have failed #because that was a completely foreseeable and avoidable failure point #especially if they did at 18g at the last moment #third body problem spoilers
