guy whos so bored hes about to do analysis on how class is written about in jojos silly journeys
#analysing arakis work from a political lense is inherently stupid like i know. but im so bored and i cant stop thinking about it#like p1s accidental themes. class and societal issues p5 (that i think once again are very underbaked -_- but still)#and also how it ties into the overarching theme of fate too#pucci brothers backstory which while i like the tragedy and drama like ive previously said isnt a very great portrayal of antiblack violence#in the 1980s deep south. or at least not an insightful one. but the class element there of pucci being saved from becoming a victim of said#violence because of his familys wealth and influence…. meanwhile wes wasnt…..#and ofc diego…. his backstory and how he reacts to the trauma of abject poverty and the understanding of the system it brings by wanting to#integrate himself into that system and to climb it instead…… hmmmmmmmmmmm#like i wouldnt call araki a leftist writer LOL. like he does have the occasional progressive idea in his work but like. you know. but it is#fun to look at the intentional and unintentional ways he portrays things. as with any work and any author :p#jojo
