I just mentioned to this cishet guy who's my coworker that I've been watching star trek and then he assumed that meant I'm a marvel stan and like 🤢🤢🤢
#we have our first gay kiss in tros#first gay character in endgame#like i know i had a marvel phase but im so over it and i dont really judge but like i dont want people thinking im a marvel stan#i hate how like star trek star wars and marvel has become pop cultures superwholock#and like i like star wars but im not hugely into it and i hate disney with a vengeance#like i just hate the white cishet guys interpretation of star trek because the premise is entirely different#its peaceful! its inclusive! its progressive! unfortunately none of that can be said of star wars or marvel#star wars' and it being a literal blink and you miss it between 2 unnamed characters#marvel's being an unnamed dude who referred to his partner dying once#compared to star trek's first gay kiss in the fucking 90s and so so many gay AND trans characters in recent trek#not to mention we had stamets and culber (2 named regular characters) in a relationship in 2017 and it took another 2 years for marvel....#and star wars shitty representation to come out#also also we had a black lead in star trek in the 90s and it took marvel until 2021 to do it and even hes sharing the title with bucky!!!#star wars still hasnt had a black main character even if weve had a black lead who then became a not lead in tlj and tros#i mean he was a lead but his character did nothing and he was wasted#so like dont fucking assume that a. i like star trek the same way cishet dudes do and b. that i love marvel and star wars equally#clover talks nonsense
