if this is really the best word order with which to express this idea, no wonder i can't form a french sentence to save my life.

#dont peuvent seuls se faire une idée ceux qui blah blah blah???????#in french class the other day i tried to ask a question and the syntax got so far away from me i just sort of trailed off wretchedly #and made sad pleading eyes at my classmates hoping they could figure out what i meant #french #syntax #my posts #like i get it. there's a nested subclause so your options are to put the new clause before the main verb (which means you have to wait for #the verb drop) or to do relative pronoun + subclause verb + main clause verb + subclause noun phrase #both make you put a pin in some information before you get the rest of the context #but like what the fuck are you doing with seuls my man. that is the last place on earth it would have occurred to me to put seuls #like seuls is an adjective modifying ceux right? why is it so far away?? french doesn't have a robust enough case system for this 😩
