my danganronpa v3 chapter 4 investigation and trial running commentary:
so it seems like i was correct to be worried about the fate of miu. man this is such a bummer this is the first time one of my faves has died i'm so upset. and i really thought miu would make it to the end tbh
i love having two purple boys fighting for my affections
did kokichi bring a bottle of poison from my lab as a red herring? wouldn't put it past him. big "byakuya altering chihiro's murder scene in DR1" vibes
i can't believe they would tell me that the poison can cause eyes to look bloodshot and then wouldn't let me investigate miu's eyes to see if they were bloodshot or not what the fuck
man i really just beamed kaito outta there with that cell phone huh
so someone was either trying to frame kaito, remove his ass from the equation, or clear out the rooftop area, yeah?
after more investigating it seems "clear out the rooftop area" is probably the right answer, given that miu and kokichi were supposed to have a secret meeting there
bro why won't shuichi investigate the very obvious lattice???? at miu's virtual body he was like "idk what this is doing here." and it was obviously in the storage room i looked at earlier but he didn't mention that. and then when i went back to the storage room he was like "something feels different from before. idk what tho. oh well" and i'm just screaming SHUICHI YOU IDIOT IT'S THE LATTICE bro wtf
i know they're setting up kaito to look super suspicious, but i actually think he's the least suspicious. sure, he could've done something to her real body, but i think miu died in-game. it said she had no visible injuries. miu died at 6:30, but kaito was forcibly logged out over an hour before that at 5:17. so he could not have killed her in-game, and i think she died in-game, so therefore i don't think kaito is the culprit. i think kokichi is gonna try VERY hard in the trial to convince me he is, though
when they said "there was a user error upon login" i immediately thought to myself "alright who didn't plug their cords in the right way?"
gonta has been very quiet through this whole investigation process. and i'm actually suspicious of himiko, who at the start was very vocal about not wanting to go in the virtual world, and then at the end was VERYYY vocal about not wanting to LEAVE the virtual world. what's going on there?
i'm still so fucking suspicious and confused about the creation of the virtual world in the first place. miu set it up, but kokichi has been talking behind the scenes and also to our faces about setting up some kind of trap? like what's happening here????
idk what kokichi was planning, but i honestly think miu was trying to murder kokichi. maybe that was the setup for this world the whole time. they were planning to meet up, and she edited his avatar so that he'd be paralyzed if she touched him. i think that was the plan and obviously something went wrong
is it possible that miu killed herself accidentally? himiko said there was a big crashing sound like something running into the wall of the chapel or something? maybe miu rammed herself against the wall of the chapel? idk that feels far-fetched but not out of the question
unrelated to the murder, but there's very clearly something going on with kaito health-wise, and he mentioned not being able to feel whatever that was in his avatar body. do you think whatever it is will get revealed in the trial? or next chapter, maybe?
so now that i think about it, i really didn't see a lot of gonta in the virtual world. he was either off on his own or with kokichi. if it turns out that gonta killed her or kokichi manipulated him into killing her, i'm fucking ending my own life
also bro why was there toilet paper just sitting outside
alright so miu added a wall that let non-human objects pass through and then classified herself as a non-human object - this was how she was able to get through to the mansion side without the bridge, right???
i still don't know about the scream they heard from keebo, that's still a mystery
and why are some people's visors still connected and some unplugged?
everyone is suddenly putting a LOT of pressure on me as a detective, this is weird. not just the members of my trio, but like himiko and tsumugi especially. this is strange
oh hey we kind of forgot about that motive key card right?? what happened with that?? does kokichi have it in his pocket?? i'm convinced it goes to the door behind the library bookcase
oh the VERY first thing in the trial, we establish her eyes weren't bloodshot, but you wouldn't tell me while i was investigating? oh come on, game
bro miu was strangled to death by toilet paper?? it's how she would've wanted to go tbh
and himiko agrees lol
lol i KNEW miu was trying to kill kokichi lol
oh MIU planted the poison? interesting
"people you trust and defend will ultimately betray you" kokichi i wanna know who hurt you in the past
bro is this gonna be strawberry tower/grape tower all over again with the weird placement mystery shit?
me to kokichi during this entire trial:
Tumblr media
lmao were there billboards of miu in the taxi game? hilarious. wait but why were there then later billboards of tsumugi?
i would like to say i suspected the looping thing for awhile, and that the mansion and chapel were actually near each other in space
WAIT hang on hang on. did the culprit kill her on the locked rooftop and then CHUCK her body off what they thought was the edge of the world, but since her body can pass through the wall she actually slammed against the side of the chapel??
man i was pretty close, putting her on the lattice as a sled off the roof instead of throwing her
i don't like how this is turning out, the suspect list is really starting to point toward gonta and i do NOT like that
man tsumugi was this close to destroying my lie trap
i would just like to say.......i am VERY upset but how this trial is going
this is the most evil and unforgivable thing danganronpa has ever done wtf why would they do this i am SO upset
i'm sorry, alter ego gonta???????? the references to the previous games are becoming much too blatant to brush off, what's happening here
"don't blame kokichi anymore" i'm sorry gonta i will continue to blame kokichi as much as i fucking want
"wait please, i don't want this! don't go, gonta!" kokichi YOU were the one who fucking did this YOU are responsible for this don't act all sad now
i can't believe he was responsible for both deaths that happened this chapter and he still gets to stick around
kokichi i hope you suffer endlessly for what you did to gonta. in fact, i am going to MAKE you suffer endlessly, and i will never ever ever EVER fucking forgive you
evil evil evil evil evil evil evil evil evil boy
i once saw a post or something that listed the three "antagonists" of the DR games as byakuya, nagito, and kokichi. first of all, putting byakuya in the same category as the others feels laughable. byakuya was simply an arrogant douchebag that had trouble thinking about others. nagito...well, he was insane, and he sort of had a bit of logic, albeit very VERY twisted, like i can kind of see his thought process and what he's aiming for even though it's kind of fucked up. kokichi, though. that boy is just straightup evil and i don't understand
oof kokichi really exposed kaito's illness and maki's crush in one fell swoop huh
man everyone rushing to kaito's side has got to just be a slap in the face for kokichi. and kokichi deserves it
sooo next chapter is finally when keebo and kokichi are gonna have a showdown and beat each other up, right? it feels like the time. that rivalry has been building up and i need payoff
oh no i got gonta's empty insect cage??! oh that's just hurtful
guys, this chapter hurt me and it hurt my feelings, quite a lot. it took out two of my favorites in one fell swoop. why would they do that to gonta??? that's just mean. i am hugging keebo TIGHT to my goddam CHEST i cannot bear it if i lost him as well
and i have to say: i'm not sure in all of media i have ever consumed there has ever been a character i have understood less than kokichi oma. i will never be able to figure him out. his actions and motivations don't make sense to me. there have been certainly been characters i've hated more (square UP, dolores umbridge and holden caulfield), but none that have confused me more. and man i want some due comeuppance. get punched by a robot, you evil little shit
probably won't have time to continue the game until sunday at the earliest, but on to chapter 5! (eventually)

Official Miu Iruma Post
[contains debate about the 4th case & trial of v3, post-game irouma, a dating show au with saiouma & kiiruma, talk about her abandonment issues, parental HCs and toxic yuri, just the normal way conversations in the Pit go, I simply cut out some of the screaming, distractions and put displaced replies closer to what they're replying to]
Hina: Kokichi’s Chapter 4 plan right It’s to do two things: Save him from Miu Make himself the villain Right Cause if that’s the plan WHY PUSH MIUS BODY OFF THE ROOF Clown: That was gontas idea!! Hina: No I’m blaming Kokichi for this fuck you Ves: i think he actually meant to kill everyone but that's an unpopular opinion sndhsgfgfh Hina: THEN HE SHOULDVE LET MIU KILL HIM IM SORRY MIU HAD THE BEST MURDER PLOT IN V3 AND SHE DIDNT EVEN GET TO USE IT BECAUSE KOKICHIS A FUCKING MINDREADER Apollo: LIKE HOW DID HE KNOW? WHAT. SHE WAS ACTING WEIRD SO HE CHECKED THE COMPUTER CODE? [yes. I assumed that this was just. canon] Sini: HE COULDN’T LET MIU KILL HIM Ves: NO?????????? THAT WOULD BE FUCKIGN STUPID???????????????????? Hina: No but if his plan was to kill everyone, Miu probably could’ve gotten everyone killed Ves: "i COULD convince the strong one and the detective to help me and carefully manipulate the trial til the end, but why don't i just throw it all to the wind instead-" miu was VERY OBVIOUSLY gonna kill someone dude Clown: MIUS SO BAD AT HIDING HER INTENTIONS BUT ITS OKAY I LOVE HER
Hina: Okay no I’ll give him that But Kokichi makes a lot of assumptions Like the “He’d be frozen in a touch” thing That’s a big assumption to make Ves: NO IT IS NOT THAT IS JUST ASSUMING MIU ISN'T COMICALLY STUPID IF SHE DIDN'T THINK OF THAT SHE WOULDN'T DESERVE TO BE CALLED A GENIUS if miu has control over the virtual world, then of course she'd add some way to stop him from resisting. that's an educated guess Clown: He didn't think he was going to be frozen but I think he assumes Miu was smart enough to make a fail safe!! She needed to do something to make him killable. I don't think he knew what it was but he knew she did something! Especially since she's openly telling everyone that she took away all dangerous objects and diminished their strength?? What are you scheming queen?? Apollo: I get he's smart but can he even read code because I doubt it was just written 'freezes when Miu touches' [with what monokubs pulled up for them. it was kind of written like that] Hina: No code is usually written very fucking simple Me: It wasn't an assumption? He knew. Because he looked into what she was doing.
Apollo: I still think he should have just 'decided to piss her off' and not show up to the meeting on the rooftop. Either that or he acts real sus so someone follows him up and sees her about to murder him Clown: I think he did act kinda suspicious! Like actively making a show of needing someone to watch him or clearly getting pulled off to the side so Miu could talk to him. Chee: He was being more sus than usual and that made V3 think “someone needs to watch him” Idk why they sent Gonta over when its Kokichi actually Clown: I like to think he gave her a chance to back out. If Miu had seen him act this way and still proceed with her plan. Well that that was that. Again. Probably not what they were intending BUT LET ME BELIEVE THEY WERE FRIENDS AT ONE POINT SOBS Chee: DUDE NO I ALSO LOVE THINKING THEYRE FRIENDS THEY FUCKING WORKED TOGETHER FOR FUCKS SAKE Tehyre friends to me fuck whatever canon goes against that!! Ves: she picks him because he's one of the only people who would conceivably go to a secluded place with her and that Hurts me Me: With his views on killers he most likely thought that Miu will go for a kill no matter what and will do something else if she's not forcefully stopped. Plus, he was pissed off first, she betrayed him and he was especially cruel when talking about her after that, some elements of the plan were going out of the way to say "fuck you" to Miu (and using that to draw more suspicion to himself, but that was not necessary to do that), I think he wanted Gonta to be the winner, as somebody who stayed on his team, making it his victory, but then Gonta wasn't following the plan, meaning that he must have betrayed him too, and then Kokichi lost it
Sini: OOOOH! You mean the interpretation of him killing everyone… Let’s be real, if that’s the case, then yeah, he was dumb. Cause even with what Ves said, HE STILL FUCKED UP! FUCK REVERSE PSYCHOLOG! WHY TF WOULD YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH SM YOU DUMB BITCH!? YOU’RE GIVING OUT MORE EVIDENCE He was so dumb for it, idc. Bro, stfu….Saying Gonta is the culprit!? WHY!?!? SHUT UUUPPPP I get the logic but fuck man! It’s so risky and stupid! Why would you do that!? Ves: OH I DON'T THINK THAT WAS PART OF THE ORIGINAL PLAN CAN YOU IMAGINE LMAO that's BEYOND "risky and stupid" sini did you think i thought this the whole time HE'S BETRAYING GONTA AT THAT POINT I- Chee: YEAH I THINK THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN Me: It definitely wasn't part of the original plan, that was the moment he snapped Sini: Oh. I knew that too but I forgot how you interpreted it. But he does similar shit even in the beginning of the trial. I just….I think it’s dumb. This is part of why I don’t think he planned to kill everyone Oh yeah, I know that. I just wasn’t sure what they meant, there are many ways you can interpret this theory. But yeah, I agree that he thought there would be no reasoning with her and she would kill him regardless. While he could’ve let Miu kill him, keeping Miu alive is good in case the plan were to ever fail. Her plan was really good, even Shuichi noted that without finding out about the secret of the virtual world that they would’ve been fucked. She could’ve very well won had he just let her kill him, but still, it’s better he have control over the situation than potentially die for no reason while the game continues. I get that. But like….What did Gonta do to not follow with the plan? From what I remember, by the time Kokichi outed Gonta….He didn’t do anything?? No one suspected him until he brought it up. Gonta became suspect because of him. Why would he do that? Are you saying he got so pissed that Gonta was good at not being sus that he changed his mind? Cause I honestly find that ridiculous. It is literally essential that Gonta not be suspicious so that they win…. Was it a method to make Gonta not suspicious by making him suspicious? But again, why? No one was ever suspecting him and he should know that most of everyone would never suspect him as the culprit at that point because it’s Gonta. Yes, they’ve suspected Gonta plenty times before and you could say they only reacted that way cause Kokichi was the one saying it, but…I feel at that point everyone grew closer to Gonta and would have that genuine bias. Kokichi outing Gonta just led to him spewing more evidence that got them fucked even before he snapped at him. He was basically giving hints since the beginning of the trial. I always read it like he was doing what he usually did until Shuichi and the others pissed him off. Then Gonta pissed him off by denying everything and everyone believing him despite the evidence. Ves: it's not that gonta didn't follow the plan, it's that he followed it too well. you have to remember that kokichi had no way of knowing about the cord mixup; from his perspective, gonta was just lying his ass off. and he was lying so well kokichi wouldn't've been able to tell if he hadn't seen him kill her. even in an interpretation where he planned to betray gonta from the beginning, i think that would've freaked him the hell out
Sini: But he wasn’t really lying before…. He wasn’t doing anything. He was barely present in the trial until that point. Ig that’s a form of lying, maybe Kokichi expected him to be all nervous and shit?? But….Is that good enough reason to out him and abandon your plan??? I see some people say how he could’ve suspected Gonta as the mastermind, but I can only see him suspecting that after he outed him. And even then…If he was the mastermind…Why would he follow his plan in the virtual world in the first place? Surely Kokichi must’ve thought of that. To think he’s the mastermind based off of good lying alone, while understandable, is also a bit of a stretch. Kokichi knows there is more to Gonta than what people see, he’s seen him lie before. It’s just at that moment where it’s taken to a whole other level that even rivals his own (at least that’s what he thinks). But still…I just….He said that unprompted and I can’t think of a good reason as to why he’d do that after planning all this out There is Gonta debating Shuichi before I think but that’s still not enough to do something like call him the culprit I feel…. I just don’t understand it. Maybe I’m giving Kokichi too much credit, but it’s weird. Ves: gonta has repeated that he doesn't understand over and over in a very convincing (because it's true) way by that point tho idk ch4 doesn't make a lot of sense to me without the idea that kokichi was originally planning to follow through TBF though it's the clearest example of kokichi being a microcosm of v3; it's meant to be up to the player to decide what they believe, and that means there's evidence both ways. it's definitely a weird way to write a character Sini: But again, Kokichi knows he isn’t stupid. He must know he can probably pull off just saying “I don’t understand”. Not to mention, I don’t think he’d do something like this at all. Chapter 1 he acknowledges how if they die, they can just bring in new people and the games will continue. While everyone dying is a unsatisfying ending, it’s not enough to end the game. It has enough entertainment value and not enough scandal where it could do that much damage. Kokichi must still think this is all a show even if at that moment where he believed what he saw in the vault was real. Is it really winning the game and bringing justice to those who died if he follows the rules practically to a T and kills everyone? It’s not that much of a satisfying ending for him either. Ig he could’ve not known what else to do and was overwhelmed with despair, but I personally don’t think he’d want things to go that way. But that’s just me. I agree that it’s written in a way where you don’t really know what’s the truth. I understand the theory and I think the idea is cool, with enough evidence to support it. To me though, it just doesn’t jive
[I just got hit in the face with a crack theory: What if he made it so it looks like he gave in to the motive and wants to kill everyone so the mastermind doesn't intervene before he gets to flip the switch on them?] Ves: that's a totally fair interpretation!! i haven't asked - do you think he believed what he saw at the end of the tunnel :o? oh and also. i think believing what he saw would undo his ch1 belief about them just bringing more people in..? where would they get them from Clown: I guess that's assuming he'd believe the world really did end. But thats vauge too, how much did he believe it? How long? Did he even believe it in the first place? WHO KNOWS Ves: i think he did believe it. i mean, he was THERE. he saw the broken world stretch out to the horizon, he felt the air leave his lungs that's very different than a flashback light Sini: Well, that’s the thing. I feel like he believed what he saw but soon afterward started to doubt it given everything else he witnessed. Why things are the way they are…It only makes sense if it’s a show. Kokichi himself acknowledges that in Chapter 5. The flashback lights….There’s so many things to not be trusted here. If they can pull off crazy rooms, executions, and robots, could they fabricate what he saw and experienced? Maybe it is real but there are survivors out there. I think Kokichi was in constant conflict about it Ves: it could be a show for just one person. i think that'd haunt him and yeah i agree about him being in constant conflict Clown: I do think he believed it for a good while!! It's hard not to. It probably effected him more than he realized. But at the same time the world around his is changing in completely unnatural ways, he acknowledges that it feels as though they're following a script sometimes. So that gave him room for doubts. But he couldn't really be sure Kodaka was a coward for not giving us a bonus unlockable scene where ouma sees the world end, BY HIMSELF, ALL ALONE, and just implodes in on himself for a little while I wanna see how he reacted!!! I wanna see why he even managed to get up again!! Ves: MAYBE I'M ALSO A COWARD JESUS Sini: I’m fine with not getting anything. The whole point is that he’s a mysterious character. The way we see him is supposed to be somewhat similar to how Shuichi sees him, constantly questioning wtf he is up to and how he feels But that would be cool tho Clown: I can agree with that! I do love that there's so much room to theorize about him This is entirely self indulgent askshjdh WHERES THE POV SWITCH KODAKA?? WHERE?? Sini:Yeah, same. I indulgently want a Kokichi Ouma novel but writing wise that’s a shitty idea Clown: Yeahhh, unless their willing to break away from the embodiment of a lie thing, at least a little, than i wouldn't have high hopes Or they could evilify him more thats also something that could happen
Hina: Me writing a whole Kokichi Miu fight scene be like Chee: no dude I actually enjoy that BC THERES NO WAY AFTER ALL THAT HAPPENED IN GAME THEY WOULDNT FIGHT Im just still praying theyll be friends after the fighting or something [sob emoji]
[conversation went into detail about how fucked up Kokichi novel could turn out to be if we got it (and so it's best it doesn't happen)] Clown: Miu and kokichi get an explosive divorce Ves: okay no i want this actually that sounds HILARIOUS Sini: That already happened in V3 tho Me: they are SO divorcecore <3 /pos Ves: they are the OPPOSITE of the "i don't argue with beautiful women, my wife hits me with a hammer and i walk it off" tweet Me: and I love that for them! frenemies irouma is nice, but they could take that to a higher level Ves: IT IS romantic iruma is just so inherently hilarious that "higher level" is divorce court Sini: “My wife tried to hit me with a hammer, that bitch got strangled” Clown: It's like the ending of one of those shows where they try and pair everyone off into couples but they explode as a result Maybe literally Miu puts a bomb in oumas cereal Sini: It’s their love language, dw Clown: They only got married because the people of their affections also got hit with the straight people ray and they're mourning together/hj Shuichi should marry maki to make it worse Ves: they're all cheating on each other Worst Suburb Of All Time Me: this gave me a VIOLENT flashback to that one hamilton songfic (Say No To This? I think) where Miu wrote Saihara a threathening letter bc Ouma was her husband and saiou was having an affair
Sini: Salmon Mode: Love is Blind edition Ves: hold on i've got a better one the ultimatum …actually hold on maybe i'm NOT joking an ultimatum au would kinda slap… are saiou in preexisting relationships or did they come together shuuichi issuing the ultimatum to kokichi would be TASTY but so would them falling in love and leaving their unhappy relationships for each other,,,, one person in a couple wants to get married, the other isn't so sure. they go on the show where they pick another person to be in a 'trial marriage' for a couple weeks, then go back to their original partners, then decide 'the ultimatum' is 'marry or our relationship is over' Clown: Oohh man I dunno. Them as a preexisting couple is ANGST AND PAIN and ✨️ drama ✨️ But them coming together is [teary eyed cat emoji] Hina: Okay but that's so good if they're preexisting in a relationship Me: the "getting back together" energy (despite there being no break-up and only a threat of it) is definitely up your alley and it could be neat, but them getting paired up for a few weeks fake relationship that's not intended to last should be injected in my bloodstream immediately or I'll die Ves: they're meant not to last, to be a test before they go back to their Real partners, but they find themselves happier than they ever were AUUUUUGH Hina: If we're being realistic though wouldn't Kokichi bail the moment Shuichi offers an ultimatum like that? Ves: IF WE'RE BEING REALISTIC NEITHER OF THEM WOULD GO ON REALITY TV IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS EXISTS SO I CAN HAVE FUNNY SAIOUMA COUCH ASIDES AND ENDGAME SMOOCHES Clown: Can't remove brain from shuichi giving the ultimatum because ouma is a flighty nerd- NEED THERE TO BE A SWEET SCENE WHERE GONTA AND KOKICHI BOND BECAUSE OF THEIR SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES BUT ON OPPOSITE ENDS. Gontas straightforward point of view seems illogical, it doesnt even take into account how much could go wrong, but its suprisingly comforting. Maybe ouma shouldn't focus on the fail safes… AND HE GAINS PLUS 1 BUDDY OLE PAL [I skipped a big part of the conversation suggesting other couples, but one of them was Gonta and Kirumi] Ves: gonta and kokichi come out Best Friends he's the best man at the saiou wedding unsure if kokichi gets this privilege also because. kirumi. but STILL Clown: She doesn't want his greasy face in the wedding party thats understandable If you wanna add some ✨️ drama ✨️ maybe shuichi is just a tad jealous over seeing ouma so genuinely connect with someone. After such a short time too?? Shuichi goes "this is fine" as if he isn't iron gripping the table Ves: he thinks kokichi's left him for bigger tits greener pastures meanwhile gonta is patting his back while he wails drunkenly about shuuichi inevitably leaving him he's NOT jealous he is a responsible partner he does not feel Bad Emotions he does NOT- he's not coping and seething that gonta is better at protecting kokichi from spiders
Ves: who is shuuichi's partner. rantarou is Not Allowed it hurts my brain Hina: Wow smh Miu/j Ves: he'd never pick her but GOD it'd be funny Clown: MAYBE KIIBO, FOR THE EXTRA LACK OF BRAIN CELLS Did Miu drag kiibo there?? Ves: love hotel abandonment issues flashbacks Clown: She would vent this in a completely public scandalous way I love that for her Miu iruma the walking disaster beloved Ves: why doesn't kiibo want to get married? is it just bc miu's being Like That about it or does he have his own issues Hina: What if their relationship is still fairly new Like less than a year Clown: "We aren't financially stable and the average expectancy of dating years before marriage is 4-6 years, we haven't yet to agree upon how many kids we would have because 8 is illogical. I think we should wai-" and Miu is throwing a tantrum Ves: i don't think i've ever seen kiiruma as anything but a fluffy side ship this is spinning in my brain oughhh miu iruma you are the worst gf of all time i love you messy bitch she's gonna key his car they are neurodiverging in opposite directions kiibo's autistic robot ass is planning things out according to nothing but logic meanwhile miu is traumatized and brain damaged and putting beans in all his shoes he doesn't Get why she's so sensitive about this he's said he's not going to leave her, and he's never proved himself a liar, so why doesn't she believe him??? actually on that topic. why do u guys think miu is Like That?? she apparently has very severe abandonment issues but they're brought up ONCE and NEVER EXPLAINED it bothers me i need to fill that gap with hc
Sini: Miu [handshake emoji] Kokichi Crippling trust/abandonment issues. Your love? They do not see Ves: and that's why they make such inch resting friends :) Sini: I hc her mother left her and her dad. Perhaps she also had a childhood friend who abandoned her since in the Love Hotel she sees you as one Ves: i'm inclined to say someone (a parent?) just BOOKED it while she was in the coma Clown: Oohhh!!! Similar hc!!! I also think she was raised by a single dad. Mom was too focused on her career Ves: i gave her a single mom LMAO does she just radiate Divorced Kid Energy??? Sini: SHE DOES HONESTLY What if they left after her coma? I can imagine it going like that…. Ves: i mean her personality was probably different by then maybe they just…didn't like her anymore…… Clown: Ahsgshwhs, I just think part of her sense of humor comes from the fact that her father was like…one of those drunk uncles who gives you shittiest dating advice and has been divorced 3 times and is not at all a bad person but has clearly made far too many mistakes. And he's her MAIN caretaker. And so he talked to her more like a friend than a daughter and so she really was craving some sort of bond she considered unbreakable, someone to take care of her. AND WHATS THAT?? ON TV?? YOUR ROMANTIC ENDEAVOR WOULD DIE FOR YOU?? YES PLEASE??? Ves: SHE JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR FOR HER, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK Sini: Men these days, smh Hina: Easy, don't date men Ves: WOMEN WILL NOT FIX HER ISSUES HINA Clown: WOMEN COULD MAKE HER WORSE, TOXIC DOOMED YURI WHEN Ves: her and ouma, if you're not a COWARD Sini: Toxic doomed yuri fem!Kokichi/Miu. 100k words- Me: where [and I still don't see a fucking link] Hina: Ever female Kokichi I've seen scares me So yes I am a coward Me: multigendered Kokichi then, it can still be yuri and that's my preferred hc anyway Ves: kokichi's already a girl to ME. multigender queen Hina: I mean Big boobs Heterosexual Female Kokichi Sini: The big boobs are a red flag Me: I can excuse heterosexuality, but I draw the line at Kokichi with boobs /ref Sini: YOU EXCUSE HETEROSEXUALITY!?

The Big Just the Two of Us Post
In February this year, I started writing a little silly fic for funsies. Well actually, I literally posted a chapter I wrote a year ago on my brand-new AO3 account. I thought, hm, maybe someone might be interested in this? I'm gonna be real with you all - I had literally no plans. Like, none. It was just a one-off chapter. Just a silly concept - what if Kaito and Kokichi got stuck in a simulation? Wouldn't that be hilarious? What kinda silly shenanigans would these two guys get up to? They'd probably just keep killing each other lmao. Nine months and over 140,000 words later, I churned out the longest piece of writing I have ever created. Ever. I'm not even joking.
Did I ever know that my magnum opus was gonna be a horror/sci-fi Oumota fic? No. Am I glad it is? Surprisingly, yes. There is so much I want to say and I don't even know where to begin. Massive shout-out to everyone who has been reading since the beginning. I can't believe you still stuck around even when the fic took like several shocking swerves. All of those kudos and comments meant so much to me too. The actual joy I got every time my comment notification went up by one is a type of euphoria I'll never get over.
Also another shout-out to the people who unbookmarked en masse once it got real messed up I'm so sorry but yeah I totally get it. Trust me I was not expecting it to get so dark lmao. Thanks @theskix for putting up with me talking about this goddamn fic for nine months straight (cheese forgive me) and being a fantastic springboard for ideas (brain fuzzy but I'm pretty sure he's the guy who came up with Miu eating cereal while walking in on them say thank you) Shout out to the concept of Oumota and every single Oumota fan in existence cuz like holy crap apparently people who like scary stuff and suffering just gravitate to these two guys apparently. Like I don't think I can begin to stress that I was never an Oumota fan. This fic turned me into one. I literally cannot stop thinking about them my brain is full of worms (or leeches I'm funni). Now for the fun part - what's coming up next? Well I'm planning on taking a break from any massive projects for the next month and a bit so I can participate in NaNoWriMo. May as well keep riding the train while it's still running, right? Once we get to December, I'm hoping to start the next fic in what I want to call my Dangan Horror trilogy. I'm also wanting to start writing a fic set in the Just the Two of Us universe from Miu's perspective. I may do these both at the same time, but I'll see how I go. I may do some smaller fics from time to time, especially if any fun-looking writing/themed events pop up, but I'll get to those when they occur. As always, my ask box and messages are open so please feel free to ask me anything about Just the Two of Us. I'm happy to give more info on my writing process, inspiration, headcanons, or anything you're dying to know. Thank you so so much for your continued support! It seriously means the world to me and provides me the motivation to continue to write. Until next time! ~ Mosey/Andromebaa

Danganronpa V3 Kinks & Headcanons (males)
Tumblr media
genre ; nsfw headcanons.
summary ; my interpretations / headcanons for the boys from DR V3; what they're like in bed and what I think their kinks are.
tags ; mentions of various kinks / vulgar language.
note ; these are just my personal interpretations of the characters. Some may not agree or have other headcanons, which is fine. To each their own. ♡
This is an 18+ post. Minors dni.
Tumblr media
Shuichi Saihara
Shuichi is definitely a switch. Nothing new.
He'd be shy at first, not really knowing how to let loose. I think once he's explored your body and himself a bit more, he can really be a great lover / sexual partner.
He quickly realises what turns him on; your thighs, your soft moans and god, your hands. Whenever you touch him, gently stroke his cock or run your fingers through his hair when you two make love, it drives him nuts.
When he's topping, he's very gentle and very careful not to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. You'd have to reassure him he's doing great, and with enough encouragement, he'll let go of all his worries and listen to your begging for him to go faster/rougher/etc.
When he's subbing, he'll let you take the lead (which is most of the time anyway). He's well aware that you are crazy for him and that you love to tease. He loves when you're dominant and show him what you like. He knows he's safe in your hands, so he'll let you have your way with him.
Gonta Gokuhara
Oh, my sweet baby boy.
Gonta is truly a gentleman in bed, which is a surprise to nobody. Though he has a much darker, wilder side to him as well.
The first few times you two had sex he was extra careful not to hurt you in any way, keeping his impressive stature in mind. He'd be very patient and loving. He loves your little whimpers and the looks of lust you give him. It makes him so flustered and he'll only want to fuck you more.
After a while though, his wilder side will start to creep up on him. Being raised in the wild and all, it's hard for him to contain those primal urges, and they will inevitably come out. He'll want to make you his forever, and in nature there's only one way to do that: mating.
When you let him have his way, he'll turn into a completely different person, and there's no turning back. He goes absolutely feral, his primal sexual urges taking control and wanting to breed you until you collapse. He'll mark your entire body with hickeys and his strong grip will give you bruises that last for days. Seeing you writhing beneath him makes him lose his damn mind.
This fucking dude.
Kaito Momota
Foreplay usually doesn't last very long because this man doesn't know self-restraint. He just goes fucking wild, so much dirty talk and he's so fast and rough, my god. Just seeing how horny you get when he touches and kisses you in the right spots already makes him rock hard. There's literally no room for you to top him, he won't let you.
I imagine him to be very into quickies. Just taking you somewhere for a quick fuck and leaving you trembling, trying to hold yourself together afterwards makes him so satisfied it's actually mildly infuriating. Getting to destroy you with his huge cock anywhere and anytime he wants really strokes his ego and makes him grin from ear to ear.
Kaito's got a lot of stamina, so prepare yourself for that. With this guy, the sky isn't the limit.
K1-B0
Okay, hear me out.
I headcanon that Miu did some sort of modifications on him and he can now simulate lifelike male reproductive organs.
That being said, he really had to adjust and learn about his new features lol. He's learnt a lot about sex and everything that comes with it — he eventually even developed his own preferances, and dare I say, kinks?
I think he'd be fascinated with your reactions to all the pleasure he can give you, even if it's artificial. He loves being able to learn more about human desires and intimacy, and he's become much more human-like because of it.
His favourite thing is definitely that he can simulate his own cum. He knows how much it turns you on, so he gets very happy when you moan and beg for him to cum inside you (or anywhere else, for that matter). He loves intimate sex, because he feel like he can truly connect with you on an emotional level.
Rantaro Amami
Rantaro is one of those guys that everybody lusts after, and for good reason.
His whole demeanor is enough to make anyone weak to their knees. He's really chill, almost a tad bit sadistic with the way he looks at you. You can just tell he's planning to do all kinds of naughty shit with you, and it'll be a while before he's done.
This guy is into it all. Rough play, BDSM, edging, you name it. Whatever you're comfortable with, of course. He loves spanking you or holding you by your throat, his jewelry jingling while he does makes it even hotter.
I think he is a switch, but he definitely likes to top. He likes to order you around and call you all kinds of names. Just imagine him sitting in a chair with his legs spread apart, ordering you to suck his cock with that low, raspy voice of his. He lowkey likes to watch you struggle a lil' bit.
This guy knows how to pleasure you and he's very comfortable with himself. Don't expect to walk away from him without having had at least three orgasms and a sore throat.
Kokichi Ouma
Kokichi is a brat through and through. He likes teasing you A LOT, making you hot and bothered and then pulling away to leave you helpless and unsatisfied, snickering maliciously.
While he loves to tease and be flirtatious with you, he'll quickly turn into a little freak when he decides he's had enough. He's borderline sadistic and enjoys surprising you. Somehow he always manages to do something you weren't expecting, but it makes it all the more enjoyable.
He loves it when you do little favours for him, or when you act all submissive around him and he gets to have fun with you. He loves using toys on you and seeing your lewd and embarrassed face. His absolute favourite toy is a remote controlled vibrator.
He uses lots of dirty talk, loves degrading you and making snarky remarks when you're acting out his orders. Definitely into some sort of roleplay/power dynamic.
Korekiyo Shinguji
He's a fucking sadomasochist. Nothing new here folks.
He loves S&M, it's basically 90% of the kind of sex you two have. While he can be romantic too, he just loves to hear your cries of pain and pleasure. He won't go too far of course, he's still a man of dignity and he knows where your limits are.
He's great at aftercare. After such rough sex, there's NO way he wouldn't care for his queen. He gives you soft kisses and gets a damp cloth to put on your scratches and bruises. He'll praise you, telling you how much he appreciates and loves you and that you did very well. He really appreciates when you care for him too, and he'll shower you with love.
He owns lots of toys, which is fitting for someone with an S&M kink. He likes using a gag ball and handcuffs on you, so you are completely submitted to him. He can have his way with you all he wants, and hearing those muffled moans make him go into a state of pure bliss.
Loves using a whip, too. Seeing your ass turn red with joyful tears running down your face just makes him cum instantly.

Kokichi???👀👀
Sorry for the wait!
First impression - haha I like this guy
Impression now - haha I like this guy
Favourite moment - the part where it turns out he was in the exisal all along and both him and kaito leave together :,) His entire love hotel scene is pretty good, I can't remember completely but isn't he like literally the only person who leaves when Shuichi starts to get uncomfortable? Good for him
Idea for a story - I am not going to shamelessly self promote for a forth time in a row ;) SO ANYWAY THERE'S THIS FIC I'M WRITING CALLED 13 STUDENTS REMAIN-
Unpopular opinion - I have a couple regarding Kokichi
Why has the fandom decided his pre-game personality is this shy person who has no backbone?? I mean sure, pre-game personalities are up to personal interpretation but I don't like how it's mostly seen as some skittish person who can't stand up for themselves. Honestly I headcanon his pre-game self to be someone who despises Danganronpa and marched into Tsumugi's office like 'put me in the game so I can ruin it' and Tsumugi was like 'okay yeah sounds fun' (Tsumugi then proceeds to write trial 5 and is like lmao he fucking thought he actually was going to ruin the game)
I don't think he's entirely to blame for the events of chapter 5. Like yeah, holy shit it was fucked up of him to show everyone the end of the tunnel and kidnap Kaito but at the same time he was convinced Kaito was going to smack him and you know what, Kaito did need some cool down time. The game and all the characters do an excellent job of basically ignoring the fact that Kokichi, despite being poisoned by Maki, still decided to give his life up so she could live. He could've very easily been like lmfao fuck it, I'm gonna live and both Maki and Kaito can die. What he made Kaito do to him was awful but the game was very insistent that Kaito get his big hero reveal at the end of the trial. A lot of what came out of Kokichi's mouth were lies but sometimes actions speak louder than words and the fact Kokichi could've very easily screwed both Kaito and Maki over to save himself but didn't says a lot. I think deep down he did care about everyone and the events of chapter 4 fucked him over hard. I think Kokichi got portrayed as a monster in the end because that's how everyone saw him. I mean Kokichi was the one who didn't open up to everyone but after can you blame him? Someone who everyone thought as trustworthy, Kaede, turns to murder. He gets throttled for warning everyone about Maki. He slams his head on the floor AND NO ONE HELPS HIM?? He gets punched. Miu plans to kill him and makes it kind of obvious. Maki picks to shoot him with poisoned arrows, fully intending to torture him for information. No wonder he was like fuck it, I'm done.
I like it when people write him having a softer side but I like it done a certain way. He stoops down to horrific levels to get his way. I personally think if someone had just reached out to him and CONSISTENTLY tried to help him then he might've been a bit of a better person (unfortunately I don't think Gonta would've been a good choice since he wouldn't be able to keep up with Kokichi's thought process and Kokichi has always been wary of Kiibo so the chances of Kiibo successfully reaching out to him especially during chapter 5 were slim in the first place. Kind of ironic that Kokichi was right to be wary of Kiibo since it turns out he was the audience's eyes)
Favourite relationship - Oumota oumota oumota, it just has so much potential
Favourite headcanon - He sleepwalks. He goes back to bed fine if someone leads him but if someone tries to wake him up then he throws fists

(for the HoshiTojo shippers-)
Ryoma hadn't been paying attention too much to everything going on. He wasn't blind to his surroundings but, he hadn't been interested in them as much either. Fact in mind, he had however been fond for some reason, of Kirumi smiling. The maid had such a strict demeanor for maybe an entirety of this debacle that he thought she had little to zero emotions.
He (assumed) he wasn't any use, but, damn it Kirumi just finished cooking with Korekiyo and Angie. Kokichi Control wasn't about to be added to her agenda. He'd sit up from the table, stretching before making his way over to the currently tormented Shuichi, Kokichi's hands messing with the poor boy's face.
Kaede had looked at Kirumi, embarrassed as her hand flew behind her neck.
"I-im so sorry.. I don't know how. He was just bothering Keebo one minute and then he just -Wha-"Her lavender fields for eyes glanced in awe as Ryoma, with ease, lifted Kokichi up from Shuichi, slinging the boy over his shoulders with a calm face.
"Let's go, kid.. No reason to stress your mother out."Kaede could've SWORN she saw this man wink at the maid before he turned away to put Kokichi in a corner.
Miu and Keebo looked in awe and surprise as well as Angie and Korekiyo as they peaked behind from Kirumi with plates of exotic food in their hands. The Artist would be the first to break the slight tension :
"It seems Ryoma was blessed with strength of a bull!"
"No no..Just simple cardio and years of Tennis tends to tone you out a bit is all. Nothing to gawk at-"
"BULLSHIT!! Where the fuck were you when we needed that damn sewer shit open huh?!"Miu would interrupt, still in shock at Ryoma's display of strength. You'd think a shortie like Ryoma wouldn't be able to achieve such a feat.. And yet.. Here was this 👁w👁 fucker Here he was.
".. I was simply unavailable, spiritually."
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
'Be careful... Be careful.. Yeah. I can do that.'
The Violinist hadn't seemed to notice what was happening, busy pondering on Rantaro's words..
Why was..
Why we're these words suddenly important?
Kirumi sighed as she placed the plates down on the dining table, moving towards the pair who had been... in a uh, compromising position on the ground. Though before she could take a second step, she stopped herself as she witnessed history.
Watching with eyes as wide as the plates she had just been holding, she found herself stifling a gasp in the back of her throat as Hoshi put Kokichi in the shame corner. "My, what strength…" Holding a gloved hand to her lips, he felt her cheeks warm up almost unnoticeably as she noticed the sly wink. Was he... flirting with her?
A part of her felt bad for underestimating the man just because of his size, frowning imperceptibly as she felt guilt rise. She shouldn't have assumed he was any less than capable. Even so, that guilt had been crushed by, well, her crush.
Kokichi's confused and loud shrieking had been promptly ignored, as everyone simply watched in awe as Ryouma manhandled the wailing gremlin.
Shuichi sat upon the ground, holding his head in disarray, '... What the hell just happened? I'm alive??'
◊◊◊◊◊◊◊
Kaito graciously aided the three in arranging the table, his grin wide and comforting as he did. It was times like these where he felt a little more... at home. Home... he couldn't wait to go home. After Monokuma had been smashed, it seemed that the idea wasn't so far-fetched anymore. The thought made him giddy to leave, though, at the same time, a part of him wondered if he'd be able to interact with Anya outside the school.
Eyes wandering around the dining hall, his purple eyes seemed to soften as they spotted her; his grin only grew at the sight of her.
Whilst Kaito seemed to be thinking about going home, Rantaro had been realistically thinking about what he planned to do later in the future; his plan to uncover the mastermind's identity.
Despite the thoughts flooding his head, he shook off his thoughtful smile and caught Anya's attention. "Let's sit down."
Walking over to the dining table, Rantaro sat down on an empty chair. "This all looks really great, you guys." Rantaro sent the three; a closed-eyes smile, nodding as the others seem to agree with him. Kaito bolstered, "Yeah! This totally reminds me of my grandparent's cooking!" His topic seemed to bring up the family they had outside the school, a family that they had all expected to see after this— singling out Rantaro.
Shuichi sighed fondly as he remembered his uncle, although he mentioned nothing of it; it'd be nice to think about his family, and seeing them again, despite the part of him deep down knowing, that this hadn't been over yet.
Kaito seemed to be intently watching Anya as if waiting to see her sit down, so he could, well, sit down next to her. He hoped he had been more discreet, though the obviously fixed gaze on her, seemed to do the opposite of what he wanted.

(≧▽≦) Kokichi theories Kokichi theories!
Ok ok I read your mass mercy kill. It's really interesting and does confirm the suspicion I had that trial 4 gave off the vibe that it was a main plan they were going for- I was too lazy to go rewatch trial 4, thanks for this you blessing (。・ω・。)ノ♡
It's an interesting take, but I can't shake off the idea that it wasn't the only plan- or even the main one. I only saw a quick LP a few weeks ago so I don't remember everything that gives me that vibe, but what comes to mind first is that he asked Shuichi to work with him for… something, I don't think it's ever revealed what he was planning if Shuichi had accepted his offer of 'friendship'. I very much doubt he was going to ask him to cooperate during the class trial to vote Kokichi as the blackened for quite a few reasons I won't elaborate on since they should be obvious if you think about it, but it's mostly that his plan is already foolproof enough with him and Gonta, and that Shuichi didn't see the secret of the outside world and has no reason to help for a mass killing. So Kokichi must've asked help for another plan he had in mind. Maybe this plan could be the chapter 5 plan with Shuichi instead of Kaito and @elyvorg made a whole scenario about this, and maybe if Kokichi thought the same as this scenario he could have had this as his plan. But I don't think that's it, cause his three main plans in the game were made to fit his ally and somewhat satisfy them (ah this is my opinion though) like for insect meet and greet Kokichi satisfied Gonta's want of helping everyone and sharing motive videos while also giving him the opportunity to show his bugs off, for killing game busters he also gave Gonta an opportunity to help everyone like he so desperately wanted at that point, and on his chapter 5 unsolvable mystery he chose Kaito because he wanted to help his friends and be a hero and save everyone before dying a meaningless pathetic unhelpful death (again only my view). So I think he had yet another plan in mind if Shuichi would've helped him.
And I think if he really wanted to die from the start of the trial he had the opportunity to just not vote for himself? As in, not voting for anyone and getting punished for it, if he really didn't care at all about living anymore. Aaa but this wouldn't really work though with his leadership quality he wouldn't want to die a meaningless death and leave his classmates alive to suffer the killing game -even though he said he wanted to die after that, I'm thinking during voting time he had enough logic left to at least vote for himself instead of not vote at all so that he could live on and fight the mastermind, but after that he completely broke down and just wanted to die even if he would leave his clueless friends behind.
Jumping to another idea, I'm mostly going by the idea that he didn't believe the outside world he saw because it contradicted everything he'd been theorising and it wouldn't make sense if it had been true, but he also severly doubted himself at that point because you can't stage something like that- heck, broken buildings? Maybe. Blood red sky? Still a stretch but he'd be willing to get creative and think it's somewhat staged. But the unbreathable air? Like bro I'm still confused as to how you could stage that. Two cold hard truths clashing in his mind.
Basically, I think Kokichi had insanely conflicting evidence that should drastically change his plans, he was still left shaken and emotionaly very much not okay after seeing that irrefutable evidence of the end of the outside world but there was still a silver of logical hope that it was all somehow a lie but his only way of knowing would have been to go to the neo world, where he knew Miu planned to betray him and kill him but if he didn't go he would never know how to adapt his plans and he had to resolve himself to the fact that something horrible was going to happen in the neo world. Way too much going on and too much things conflicting and deep despair and emotions messing with the bits of logic he held on to.
In the end, I strongly believe Kokichi's brain was a mess after seeing the secret of the outside world and he couldn't really think so far ahead and there was too much for him to factor in, he could only think of bits and pieces of plans and possibilities, only main points to follow. Just adapting his plan and messy thoughts as things went on and doing his best to come up with a decent plan to do what's best in the end despite his chaotic state of mind, and a mass mercy killing fits the bill for what he thinks is best so it was one of his many jumbled mess of plans. Poor boy, just tryna make sense of his mind almost makes me tear up.
It's really fun to think of what plans he could have thought of tho! Like really really really fun. He may have had at the very least three plans (mass mercy killing, the chap 5 canon plan and this mystery plan with Shuichi) but he may also have had many many more. Who knows! Maybe if Miu hadn't planned to kill him they would've worked together more to make some sort of combinations to allow them to explore the outside world and confirm whether or not it was a stage or the truth. Ah, what a shame.
Hey @impytricky I saw a post of yours (I'll try to link it here when I find it again) about how annoyed you were to see Gonta 'fans' talking about how Kokichi should've died in chap 4 ! I agree with that and I just wanted to say, first, I'm glad I never stumbled across something like this, second,,, aah
Now, I love Kokichi and Gonta as much as the next person, and not the 'pure cinnamon roll Gonta' but the boy who's intellect is severely underestimated, who constantly gets babied for absolutely no reason and feels extremely inferior to his peers as a result. I like Kokichi and Gonta's relationship, how you can often find them spending their free time together (which I don't remember seeing in a previous game? I'm not sure) and how Kokichi (despite popular belief for some reason?) Was the one to treat him best in how he understood how smart Gonta really was and trusted him- like how he took his word about seeing tiny bugs and didn't brush it off as 'Gonta idiot' like the rest of the class. Grumble grumble.
Aaa but I'm not gonna go on a tangent for this since I know ur blog and I think we're on the same line regarding those two!
I just wanted to share an idea I had like, right as I was watching Gonta's execution for the first time, an execution for Kokichi in chapter 4!
Like, Kaito voted for Kokichi in the trial. But imagine if maybe Maki had joined him- like how she always sides with Kaito in scrum debate after he learns her real talent (I think? I'm not sure about this info) or if Tsumugi had voted for him to spice things up. And if for some reason, Kokichi had kept no rational sense at the end of that trial and was just completely crushed under the weight of his emotions and decided to vote for himself since he couldn't bring himself to vote for Gonta, even if too many people voted for him and he became the blackened right at that moment he really wouldn't care anymore and at least their plan would have worked and he wouldn't've had to live with his sin.
Anyway, that makes 3 votes for Kokichi, and the player's vote! So yeah I think it's abundantly clear now that I'm going for an alternate route where you -the player- vote for Kokichi and both he and Gonta are blackened. I've seen takes on this scenario and so far haven't found the gem among the stones- especially now that I'm imagining those Gonta 'fans' posts wanting to kill Ko out of spite, yikes. I just wanted to share my thoughts with a fan who's got taste wink wonk ;]
So: Monokuma stays unclear about the two blackeneds tho and just drags Gonta gets taken to his execution, except that unlike the normal version this time there's a those lock things on the metal chains and Kokichi jumps in to try to lockpick those and free Gonta.
Haha I've already got the scenario somewhere written I'm feeling a lil lazy lemme just copy paste it.
So imagine: Gonta is taken to be punished. He's attached to the pole and Monokuma walks in and the execution song starts. But then Kokichi runs in in front of Gonta and alter ego and fumbles with the chains to try and free him, Gonta panics and urges him to go back and not die and he's not the murderer and Gonta can't die knowing he couldn't even protect his classmate one last time only because of those chains. Such despair! Kokichi doesn't listen and desperately tries to get rid of the chains and pick the many locks one by one. Monokuma starts shooting the bugs at them and Gonta is still struggling to try to get Kokichi to move out of the way and Kokichi is growing nauseous from the bug stings and his face gets blue then purple in Danganronpa fashion and Monophanie's stomach grows bigger and bigger and just then Kokichi finds a last lock hidden between the chains he lockpicks it with shaky hands- but Monophanie's stomach bursts open and the lock clicks and right as it falls in Kokichi's hands the giant bug bursts out of Monophanie. Gonta pushes the chains off his arms and legs, falls to the ground, limbs finally free, and jumps in front of Kokichi with his back to the bug to protect him, but right as he's about to push him out of the way of danger the giant bug strikes them both, its his claw digs in their abdomens and they both fall to the ground. After a beat the wooden pole creaks and falls on their on top of their bodies with a heavy thump. Monokuma looks with disgust at the bodies still twitching a little and the nasty bug on top and he throws a match on the pole and everything catches on fire. The fire crackles and the music fades out and the image cuts to alter ego Gonta at their feet looking sad before his screen glitches and goes black and a dark grey puff of smoke comes out of it.
(Dramatic much, I know, but I'm a sucker for despair and tragedy.)
After that you get a shocked text from Shuichi who doesn't understand why Kokichi did that and something like how till the very end he confused them all with his lies (nothing much too grand and emotional, your typical killing game shuichi after chap 4 talking here). After that you get a weird disturbing ending like that of dr1, with a last CG of all the students aged up smiling at a camera, Maki and Shuichi holding up Kaito's portrait since he died of his disease, and with that awful music to disturb you further at the weird image and to really rub it in that you fucked up by being spiteful and voting Kokichi, bad choice you silly player.
I just kinda think it's a cool response to those who could hate Kokichi and get petty and vote for him- only to have a bad ending as a result and a surprise regarding Kokichi's character. I also thought of it as more of a Kokichi's execution, kinda like how it would have Kokichi elements: lockpicking, his leadership quality and how he puts his people before himself and is pretty selfless, also willingly putting himself in front of Gonta so he doesn't get bug stings- which is cool with Kokichi disliking bugs. And just how by being a petty hater you give Kokichi a somewhat peaceful death where he doesn't live with his sins, but you the player get a bad end instead as a result. On Gonta's side, I just like the despair of him ultimately dying unable to protect his friend.
All in all, I just thought it'd be a cool take on chap 4, especially with how… tasteless Gonta's execution feels to me. I also kinda just like this as a Kokichi execution that exploits some of his aspects well enough without being overly dramatic- like the many popular fan excutions I've seen that have him on lie detector forced to tell the truth about his intentions and how he cares about his friends and yadda yadda simp stuff- like, you should be able to see a Dr character's execution and not be able to tell if this character is important or not based on that alone; executions don't discriminate between the popular and the lame, so I think this is a fitting enough execution for Kokichi that works for his character, isn't too lame but isn't too grandiose. This has it's flaws for sure, like how that ending doesn't fit the fictional world reveal of chap 6 and some minor details, but ah, eh, uhm, you know.
I'm a sucker for discussions I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! Since you too have a respectable good view of Gonta and I think I saw a post about you thinking of a Kokichi execution? Aaa you know whatever I'm getting awkward now—–-
