looking at the difference between the merch is so fucking funny one symbol was chosen because it became iconic over the course of 7 years of hardcore from a really dedicated dude and the other is pure branding that a guy chose because he thought it stood out amongst other mc skins and now what was essentially a very business minded decision to make his symbol a smiley face completely backfires on the merch front because everything looks so bland and costs many many dollars. there's something to be said here about how they approach youtube and streaming in general, something about pouring your heart into something over climbing to the top for the sake of climbing, but im not the one to do it. anyway, those philza sweaters slap.

w phil's hardcore heart its like. theres a lot behind it yknow? like emotionally and conceptually cuz hes havin it for so long n his hardcore worlds is this whole like. Icon a his. its what hes KNOWN for because he built it up rather than usin it for marketing tactics. also its more like. as we seen it can be worked into merch REALLY well.

the heart is still lowkey in his merch but its not overtly simple. esp how he uses it like w funky colours n on the sleeves too. dream's smiley face like.... not much wiggle room for it anywhere. ofc i doubt ppl would see a smiley on a shirt n be like 'youtuber merch' but he hasnt got it into any funny ways on em
