Lil rambling bout how Alec was as a kid. One word, troublemaker. But, in a good way??? Like, he is also very precious, friendly, and kind that it cancels out how much of a troublemaker he can be until he does something to remind that: "Oh yeah this kid can be a headache sometimes."

During class he can be well behaved, can be, which is only sometimes. He's not the, I'm going to disrupt the class misbehaving type but it also lowkey disrupts the class anyway (He loves asking questions, at first his questions will be on topic but if you let him ask questions for too long it'll end up getting derailed.)

He's just a really curious and incredibly talkative kid. The moment Alec talks to you prepare listen for hours on several topics (cuz he jumps from topic to topic he can barely stay on track, he will try if you tell him but... dont count on it). Bubbly and cheerful too like, he's like a golden retriever combined with a samoyed.

At some point, Alec became their school's lil unofficial mascot cuz nearly everyone knows him. And it's a reputation split between "annoying" and "lovable." Also don't mistake his kindness as being really nice, he's kind, but he can be mean too if you're mean to him as well. (Which is not a good thing unless you're prepared to have an earful of angry ranting from a kid that won't shut up. he can practically insult you without using that many harsh words. also it may end up as a semi-rap he'll be talking so fast with barely any breaks in between).

Don't even try to get physical with him as well, he knows martial arts (if Ray's parents enrolled him in acting lessons, Alec's parents got him in martial arts training. In their defense, it can hopefully help spend some of Alec's seemingly unlimited supply of energy. And hey, Alec enjoys it too anyway!)

Basically, Alec is a very sporty kid! He loves doing physical activities a lot more than studying... You can see where that went for him (he only gets barely passing grades up until Ray started helping him out with it which thankfully improved that a bit!)

Ray on the other hand is like the complete opposite of Alec in that he's very shy, not at all good with groups and talking to practically everyone unless he's close to them. These two are a great combo where Alec helps Ray in terms of socializing and physical activities, while Ray helps Alec in terms of studies and keeping him in check (making sure he doesnt get into too much of a trouble).

A (possible) Wendip(-ish) X-mas project...?

Hey, all!  @ddp456 here, and I’ve been mulling a somewhat half-baked idea with my buddy @nautiscarader and after a few weeks of thinking it over, I want to toss my thoughts out there, and see if anything good can come of it.

So, as it’s more than obvious to you all; that most wonderful time of year is here, but I believe it’s more than fair to say that it’s more of a sensation, yet alone a feeling, that many of us take for granted.  Upon reading the following sentence, most would have their thoughts turn towards those less fortunate (which they should), but I want you to see it another way - how would all of this look and feel to someone that’s never had a Christmas before?

For now, I bet you’re asking, ddp, what the hell does this have to do with Gravity Falls?  Well, friends, there is one person that I can think of that easily meets those specifications:

A lot of people kinda gloss over this, but during the series finale, Wendy makes an off-comment to Dipper where she says that:

“My dad made me and my brothers do apocalypse training every year instead of Christmas.”

That’s kinda of messed up if you think about it: it could be somewhat exaggerated on Wendy’s end, considering we barely know of her past (and if you’ve been following along with my rants and stories, how long she has been left with only one parent), but the possibility remains that our dear Lumberjack Princess has never had a real Christmas before.

That’s a crying shame as everyone should have that experience sometime in their life (or of other selected holiday, but we’ll say Christmas as per Wendy’s own wording).  Granted, she’s far from an angel, but when push comes to shove, Wendy steps away from that mischievous side for her loved ones:

So, isn’t it fair that she receive a bit of goodwill back, especially when the season’s all about that good stuff?

I messed around with this idea a few years back with a collaborator of mine, and we came up with an outline that evolved into this story:

SuperGroverAway’s Christmas With A Corduroy (as well as the artwork above by DeadSNESproject88) holds a special place in my heart (and was one of my favorite works I was honored to be a part of).  For the TL;DR version, the story tells the hypothetical of Wendy’s first Christmas at Age 15/16 due in part to the Pines Twins.  Despite the (somewhat-self) plug, this story is a MUST for any GF fanfic-fan.  If you haven’t read it yet, it’s a quick read, with a great ending that’ll get almost anyone in the holiday mood.

As much as I adore that story, I feel that it’s too good of an idea to leave on a single go.  So, that’s where you all come in.

Put yourself in Wendy’s oversized, mud-stained waders.  How would you react to this unfamiliar territory?  Would you welcome these changes, or raise an eyebrow at all this foreign material?

Or flip the POV, and imagine how you would present this concept to someone completely clueless on the topic?  Or more importantly, help them with the growing pains to come along with it?

Granted, it is easily shown that both Pines twins love Wendy deeply, but in this case, let’s say that Dipper would be the launching point for such a plan, considering he is the one that Wendy shared that secret with (COUGH andbecausethisiswendipweekandwe’rebiased COUGH).

But that doesn’t mean SGA’s example should be emulated pace by pace.  It could be a master plan ol’ Dipper hatches that same year departing Gravity Falls, or years later when he has more resources at his fingertips (after all, he is a perfectionist when considering his favorite redhead).

It doesn’t even have to be the tale of Wendy’s first Christmas, or first with Dipper/the Pines.  Maybe it’s years down the line, and we see that she has her own traditions in thanks for her loved one(s) that wished only the best for her, and their responses to that.

So, what says you, fellow GF/Wendip fans?  I know it’s a busy time and season, but if we can come together every July and create monuments to how our favorite two dorks reunite/strengthen their bond/etc, surely we have a thought, an idea, or even a drawing or art that can go towards this plan, right?
