ngl the idea of them doing a live action lilo&stitch pisses me off

Like it's not even the heartless cash grab on nostalgia that angers me, it's knowing they are going to film in hawaii rn with all the bullshit happening on the islands from what i've been hearing from actual natives and it boils my blood as someone who is also hawaiian but grew up on the mainland.

Also the fact that disney's tone deaf ass has a fucking resort there is so goddamn ironic given the underlying thing about tourism in the movie subtly told though Lilo's narrative. It's not a big focus of the film obviously, it's more talking about family which is GOOD AND FINE, I just.
