honestly as a Jew I don't really get why there's so much posting lately criticizing the pop culture portrayal of Lilith? Like the way non Jewish pagans use her is definitely kind of weird but also like Lilith isn't at all an important part of Jewish religion in modern day, nor was she ever particularly important outside of Kabbalah. She's more of a ghost story. She's literally a demon who eats babies and attacks men who was never anything more than a demon to be feared until modern feminist reinterpretations.

The amount of posts I see about it just seems weird seeing as I doubt there are really any Jews who hold Lilith in any kind of regard today. I think non Jews appropriating Jewish culture is definitely a huge issue that I want there to be more awareness about, but Lilith is really low on the list of things to worry about for me.

#even though i might just be annoyed because every day i come on this site and see misinformation #like i just saw a post addition saying lilith was a symbol of women's grief with a source #and the source didn't actually have anything about her being that #and op endorsed it #like maybe check before you blindly rb something #not to mention lilith isn't even a uniquely Jewish invention. she comes from Babylonian stories about demons #idk not that it's useless to call out or anything like that. i dont think nonjewish pagans should worship her #but it's not where I'd put my energy #and ngl when i was a teenager in a really sexist jewish community the modern feminist interpretation of lilith meant a lot to me!!#like her whole story is deeply entrenched in misogyny and it is cool to reclaim that!!#idk tho. don't mind me #two jews three opinions and all that
