Drop the Lance dead parents lore 👀🤲
Alright, alright! This is gonna sound crazy and probably be very long so bare with me.
...
So basically Lance's parents were alive during the era of Pokémon wars.
Lance's father (Draco) was supposed to lead the Blackthorn and ensure their safety during the tragedy, however he wasn't at all interested in becoming a Dragon Master. Instead he was an Anthrozoologist who was much more interested in studying the physical and spiritual bonds of people and Pokémon. After being blessed with the Viridian Forest powers. His father, (Lance's grandfather) was not happy about Draco's path, but supported his son on the sidelines anyway.
Lance's mother (Dracaena) was the Hammerlocke Gym Leader and brute warrior who wielded a Lance as her choice of weapon from Galar. (who also was going through their own tragedy at the time). She traveled to Johto after hearing that the Blackthorn could be the place where she could further strengthen her dragon Pokémon from their Dragon Master (who was Lance's father at the time).
To her disappointment, Draco was not the battle-hungry tough guy she thought he was but he insisted he could help her in other ways.
After years of them bonding and finding ways to stay safe during the war with each other. They fell in love. Opposites attract some may say.
It was a risk, but Dracaena hoped to give birth to her first child in Johto even if times were rough. They swore to protect their child with everything they had and if they had to sacrifice themselves in the war to do so, so be it.
... 9 months later a very disastrous event occurred.
Viridian Forest caught ablaze after some rebels fought to demolish the forest for their own base camp.
Dracaena, Draco, and his grandfather were not far from Kanto to witness the dark smoke and fire rising from where Viridian Forest was. It even affected Blackthorn and its citizens we're getting sick from the smog very quickly.
The three of them went to see what trouble was occurring in Viridian. The rebels already set traps in the flames and smoke was only getting harder to withstand. Dracaena, who refuses to stop fighting with her Dragonite even if her child could be born at any moment. Draco, who still was not the best fighter, tried his hardest to protect his love during the battle with his own Dragonite.
But it wasn't enough. Dracaena had fallen next to a tree, body in intense pain. The child had to be born now. Draco insisted that Dracaena had to fly off with her Dragonite to find the closest hospital with his grandfather to make sure their child is born safely and leave him to fight. Dracaena did not like that.
They promised that they'd stick together and protect this child no matter what. Draco understood. And the three of them did all that they could to help her give birth to her child in the currently hellfire state Viridian Forest was in right now.
...
The good news was, he was born. The bad news... was that the rebels have found them. They tried to aim for Dracaena as the weakest physically in the group. Draco didn't let them get the chance as we channeled every bit of the Viridian Forest power inside of him and obliterated the rebels.
He sat next to his love, held her hand and gazed happily at their new born son. Smiles growing weaker by the second.
"...What's his name, Dracaena?"
With her last breath. Smoke filling both of their lungs trying to breathe out the exhaustion.
"Lance... The strongest weapon I know."
Draco with last breath urges his father to take Lance and make sure he lives a long happy life in Blackthorn.
Lance's grandfather, full of understanding but sorrow, took Lance and Draco and Dracaena's Dragonites off to Blackthorn as the two held their hands together against that tree and spent their last seconds together.

Idle Transfigured Ganke should have sonic boom powers like Hobie!
I was trying to give him a more unique power set since technically Hobie has sonic boom powers and Gwen's powers are already really similar in that regard except having to be through physical matter and not through air (well technically the two can do it through different matter, but it's a LOT weaker than their preferred state).
Not to mention if Gwen still also gets transfigured with Ganke, then she does also get sonic boom powers as the speaker would play into her natural power set.
Which is why I was trying to do a reversal of the sonic boom power with a nullifier sonic boom noise cancellation. That kind of thing plays into Ganke's natural power while combining it with a speaker.
Technically speaking, it is still a sonic boom, except that it has the opposite waves to whatever is coming at him, which makes the powers nullify and nothing really happens.
You know the Mythbuster's gif where they are driving a car at like 50 mph and shoot a cannonball at 50 mph in the opposite direction, and it just falls because the speeds equal out or whatever the reasoning was? THAT is basically what Ganke's power set is doing.
Though, that is what happens when he is trying to defend. I don't really know what his power would do when he's trying to attack.
Like if Hobie threw out a sonic boom, then Ganke could nullify it with his powers and the two would be at a stalemate. But if Hobie didn't do that and Ganke attacked with a cancellation, then I think it would act similar to a sonic boom but like... deeper in the body?
Hearing a sonic boom will probably destroy the ears if close enough, but Ganke's powers would feel more like... constant buzzing? Or maybe like those rooms that have so much padding on them that people can hear their own heartbeats (looked it up and it's the world's quietest place as an anechoic chamber at Orfield Laboratories in Minnesota. Apparently the longest anyone has been able to stay in there is 45 minutes).
Anyway, if Ganke's "reverse sonic boom" does something similar, it's most likely a status move than a full on attack. Already his powers are made for defense, not offense, so even if he is "attacking" he probably ends up doing less damage but more confusion and stuff like that. (definitely think getting hit directly by a reverse sonic boom will knock an opponent off guard if they weren't ready for it, and even if they were, the first one will always hit hard enough to knock them off their game to some degree).
So yea, I prefer it if Ganke power set from his new body were unique and not another iteration of a sonic boom. At least the initial powers that he gets and has time to master before the Mahito big fight.
If Ganke keeps his body as is (he probably will, Miku won't be able to properly change him back and Mahito won't be able to change him, not like he would), then he can definitely learn to reverse his reverse sonic boom and make just a regular sonic boom. But that would be very difficult for him to do and probably take a long time to master.
Kinda like how in Avatar the last airbender, the avatar has the hardest time learning their opposite element. Ganke would have a hard time producing full on sound waves with damaging effects than opposite waves that nullify attacks.
So one day he could have sonic boom attacks, but for now he will just have his little reverse sonic boom (and obviously his OG power set of just nullifying certain attacks that hit him by absorbing the waves or whatever the reason behind his powers was).

You are the definition of exhausted. Work was hectic today to say the least, you didn’t think all these cookie orders would come out of thin air like the way they did today. You and your coworkers are so god damn tired but still decided that you guys were going to hit a bar to celebrate that the day is over. You were going to at least. That is until you were on your way to your car when your phone started buzzing with incoming messages.
Jungkook 9:24pm
Baby I am dying I think I am actually dying
Jungkook 9:24pm
Is it normal to have hallucinations while on nyquil
Jungkook 9:25pm
Bc I keep thinking you’re here and your gorgeous lips are on my dick
Jungkook 9:25pm
Oh my goodddd I am dying, I need you
Jungkook 9:25pm
I need you
You look at your screen and frown…Jungkook mentioned this morning he was feeling sort of…under the weather. But now he’s talking about dying? While you are stubborn while sick, Jungkook is quite the opposite. He’s needy, wants attention and will pretty much do anything you ask.
y/n 9:27pm
Do I need to come take care of you?
Jungkook 9:27pm
Yes:( please come home…
“y/n!” Jade jogs up to you, stopping when she gets to you and your car. “Want to ride together?”
“Ah,” you bite down on your bottom lip, “Actually my boyfriend is sick and—”
“You can say ‘Jungkook’” Jade rolls her eyes playfully, “But I get it, saying ‘boyfriend’ is fun, huh?”
You blush, feeling embarrassed. “Yeah, well. Jungkook is kind of sick and he’s such a baby when he’s like this and—”
“No need to explain.” She smiles, “Go. Next time,” she promises. “But you owe me a drink for leaving me with these fools. Hazel is apparently meeting us too, and you know how Adam gets.” She teases, “So, you owe me.”
“Noted.” You laugh, “See you later, Jade.”
You get inside your car, turning the ignition on when your phone starts buzzing again, this time a phone call from none other than your boyfriend.
“Hello?” you bring the phone to your ear. “Jungkook?”
“Baby.” Jungkook drags out the word in a whine, “Please bring me more medicine.” He softly begs. You have to admit he does sound pretty pathetic. You can’t help but pity him as he starts dramatically coughing on the other side of the line.
“And please hurry. I need you. Need you to cuddle me and kiss me. I think your kisses could possibly cure me.”
“I’m about to leave work right now,” you confirm, “Which meds should I get you? What are you feeling exactly?”
“I’m feeling so…so in love with you.” He slurs from his drowsy state, then starts giggling.
“Jungkook.” You deadpan. “What are your symptoms?”
“It’s just a cold.” He says, “I think it’s what Jimin had a few days ago. That bastard passed it to me.”
“And you want me to kiss you?!” you laugh, “I’m not trying to get sick.”
“No, no. Don’t worry baby, our power of love will fight against it.”
“You are so…” you begin laughing again, your blush deepening. “I’ll be home in like 30 minutes, okay? Think you’ll be alive when I get there?”
“Your love keeps me alive.” He teases, “See you soon. Love you.”
“Love you, bye.” You bring the phone down and click the end button. The AC is blowing in your face, cooling you from the warmth that had crept on your cheeks while talking to Jungkook. It’s unbelievable that he’s able to make you blush like this, like as if this was completely brand new like you haven’t known him for years.
~~~~~~
The apartment is completely dark when you walk in and also completely quiet. Did Jungkook fall asleep? Did that NyQuil finally do its job? You set the bag of meds down on the breakfast table and turn on the kitchen light. You walk into the kitchen and grab a glass from the cabinet to fetch you some water, it’s nice and cold as if travels down your throat. It feels nice… the dark, quiet apartment—you need the rest after today. You think you’re about to go find a sleeping Jungkook and get some sleep yourself when you feel two strong arms wrap around your waist.
“You’re finally here.” Jungkook whispers, “I waited all day for you.” He whines and you smile for him even though he can’t see.
“All day?” you ask, “Should I have left work to come take care of you?” you tease.
“Yes,” he responds shamelessly. “I missed you so much…I think that’s why I just got sicker throughout the day.” He tightens his hold on you but immediately loosens his grip from how weak he feels.
“Come to bed.” He commands and you spin around in his grasp to face him.
“I need to shower and get ready first.” You explain and he looks at you with sad, tired eyes.
“No.” he pouts, “Who cares? Just change and come to bed.”
“Jungkook.” You chuckle. “I worked hard today, I need a shower.”
Jungkook brings you into his chest and he inhales you, taking in your scent and he melts.
“You smell fine, y/n.”
“I smell like cookies.”
“Smells good.”
“Fine, let’s go to bed.”
Jungkook’s sleepy face lights up and he turns your body around so your back is flush against his chest and he holds on to you.
“Lead the way.” He chirps, “I’m not letting go.”
“Jungkook…” you whine as you try walking forward and he follows you while holding on to you as tight as his tired body possibly can.
You two walk into your shared bedroom and he finally drops his arms to his side and makes his way into bed. You go to your drawer and pull out one of his t shirts…you slip off your work clothes for the day and drag the t shirt of your body.
“Cutie.” Jungkook comments as he lays back and watches you change.
“Oh shit, I forgot to grab your meds. I’ll be right back.” You say making Jungkook frown. You make your way back into the kitchen and grab the baggy full of medicine plus a glass of water and walk back into the room when you notice Jungkook dozing off.
“Babe?” you whisper and his eyes immediately shoot open.
“Come cuddle me.” He weakly pats the spot next to him and you smile.
“Take these first.”
“Yes mam.”
He looks up at you with his beautiful doe eyes, a look of submission written all over his face.
“These first.” You hand him two different pills as you sit on the edge of the bed and he swallows them down quickly while staring into your eyes.
“Now these.”
Jungkook nods his head while taking another two pills.
“Any more?” he asks quietly.
“That’s it for your meds.”
“Wrong.” He states. “I need the most powerful medicine of all.” He gives you a soft smile, “Need a kiss from my baby…please, please kiss me. Missed your lips all day.”
“Jungkook…”
“Your kiss will cure me, I’m sure of it.” He whispers softly. “All I need is you to be okay.”
Your eyes widen at his cute confession, he’s so god damn sleepy—you can tell. His eyes are barely staying open but he just wants to be with you. He is trying his hardest to stay awake because he missed you so much throughout the day.
“Please.” He quietly begs. “Need you.”
You search his eyes and find nothing but love in them, you can’t help but beam at him. One kiss can’t hurt you, right?
You scoot closer to him on the bed, your hands finding themselves in his Jungkook’s hair as you softly bring his face closer to you.
“One kiss.” You promise and Jungkook nods his head slowly with a dopey grin on his face.
“We’ll see about that.” He says under his breath and you laugh while leaning in closer to his face.
You lean in until his breaths hit your lips, your lips just barely touching his and he grows weaker at the contact.
“Please.” He begs again, his words hitting your mouth. “Please.”
You peck his lips softly, just giving him a slow kiss. He kisses back, his lips moving against yours so tenderly it makes you melt. You can tell he has no energy but he continues to kiss you. He slants his mouth over yours and tries to deepen the kiss, you tilt your head and give him a better angle. You said one kiss but…
Suddenly, you feel the wetness of his tongue poking out, trying to find its way between your lips. You open your moth just a little wider to give him access to your own tongue, he slides his in your mouth and slowly caresses his with yours. He releases a long, soft moan and you hate that you get so turned on hearing him. This isn’t a moment to get turned on, this is a sweet, tender moment.
Jungkook slips his tongue out and begins pecking your lips again, a little faster than before. But then he pulls back, his breaths nice and heavy.
“I’m so dizzy.” he says with his eyes closed.
“Me too.” You admit, feeling quite breathless yourself.
“No…I mean, like, literally. I don’t feel good.” He breathes out, “Kissing you, I think took all the energy I have left…what are you like a succubus or something?” he jokes.
“Baby, you need to sleep.”
“Snuggle with me, please.” He pats the spot next to him again and you get up and walk over to that side of the bed. You slip underneath the sheets and move your body close to his. You can feel all his heat radiate off his body and you frown…he must have a fever.
“Let’s sleep, my love.” You say but Jungkook weakly shakes his head.
“Wanna hear about your day.” He sinks deeper into the covers and lays his head on your chest, wrapping his arms around your waist.
“It was busy, we had what felt like a million orders today. Yoongi even came by but left because we were so busy.”
“Mhm.” He nuzzles his face into your breasts, “Did you think of me today?” he asks.
“I always think of you.” You admit.
“I thought of you so much today.” He says between heavy sighs, “Missed you so much.” He squeezes your body tighter. “I don’t think I can be without you for very long.”
You feel your heart pinch in your chest…because…
“You can. You’re just a baby.” You tease.
“No, I really don’t think I can. I felt myself grow weaker every moment I was without you.” He huffs into your chest. You caress his back as he speaks, his words becoming more and more slurred and distant from on another. He’s so tired.
“You love me that much?” you get out in a whisper and it’s silent for a few moments, you think maybe he finally fell asleep until you hear him sigh out.
“I literally don’t love anyone as much as I love you.”
You keep quiet for a few moments too long because after around a minute or so you hear Jungkook lightly snoring into your chest…you can’t help but smile down at him. He’s wrapped his entire body around you, holding you, squeezing you. You caress his back some more and start to feel yourself fall asleep as well. Your eyes getting heavier and heavier until the world becomes dark.
~~~~~
“Good morning!” You feel Jungkook’s breath on your ear, you begin to open your eyes, blinking lazily at your surroundings.
“Morning?” you question since it’s still dark in the room. “It’s still night?” you ask.
“It’s like 5am.” Jungkook states. Your eyes finally begin adjusting in the darkness and you notice Jungkook looks ten times better. He still looks tired but he has more life.
“Your kiss cured me, if that’s what you are thinking about.” He smiles that bunny smile and you laugh.
“I thought it drained you of your life?” you sit up on your elbows, “That I’m a succubus?”
“No, it helped me sleep so it could work its love magic on me and now I feel almost all the way better.”
“Almost?” you quirk a brow and he chuckles.
“I think I need more from you to make me all the way better.” He wiggles his brows at you and sends you a wink.
“What more do you need?” you lean forward and peck his lips, but you linger in his space. He smiles against your mouth and kisses you again.
“I think my hallucinations were actually visions of the future.”
You tilt your head, trying to remember what his text said about hallucinations when realization hits you.
“You need my lips wrapped around your cock?”
“I think that’s the ultimate cure.” He kisses you again, “Don’t you think?”
“You’re so needy.” Your lips move over his sensually, your tongue making its way into his mouth. He whimpers into your mouth when he feels your hand grab a hold of his hardening member. He pulls away from you and smiles softly.
“I’ll always need you.”

Tumblr media
FOR ALL YOUR life you have been fighting for the freedom you have always wanted. You wanted to go beyond the wall, you wanted to see the world beyond. Yet freedom cost more than you think. Yes, you were willing to sacrifice your own life for freedom, you knew that. In the back of your head you already accepted that death was inevitable.
You allowed your right hand to fall onto the wound on your torso that was covered by your scout uniform. You tried to yell for help but your throat felt like sandpaper and your eyes had started to drop within the second. However, you were stubborn as hell so you tried to fight it. Fight it, y/n. You are a captain in the scout regiment you're not gonna die so easily, not until someone sees you. You thought to yourself.
You thought you’d die without anyone seeing you or anyone. It’s funny how you tried to cling to your life but you already knew that you were dying. Not yet, you thought, I just need to see him, one last time, please. Him, all you could think about was him right now.
“y/n!” Hange? “Jean! Connie! Over here!” You heard different noises but soon enough you felt your body being lifted from the rubble you laid on. You also felt something starting to wrap around your torso. “Stay with me y/n.” Hange continued to mutter towards her as he banged your wound. Trying her best to stop the bleeding.
“Hange..” you managed to whisper. “I’m happy you're alive.” Your voice was hoarse and barely there but it was heard by your bestfriend. Hange smiled at you slightly, trying their best to be positive that you’d be safe, that you’d survive.
“I’ve got you. Captain.” Jean mutters as he carried you. The boy looked at Hange and they nodded their head. You, however, you were starting to fade away. Your conscious was in and out. All you could feel was the wind against your skin, the same thing you felt whenever you used your gear. The feeling you loved more than anything in the world. The feeling of flying. For you it was the feeling of being free.
“Hey, you’ve got to be kidding me.” Jean whispered once he landed while carrying you on his back. His eyes landed on Armin who was practically burnt then on nearly dead Erwin.
“No way..” Connie mutters in shock as well.
“You cant be serious.” Hange added as she saw the two as well. They knew it was now a choice of who gets the serum. Hange struggles to hold back Mikasa as Levi’s gaze goes to the girl on Jean’s back. HIs eyes widened at the sight of you almost lifeless. Your skin color was paler than before and the white bandages now dark red from the blood that spewed from your wound. Jean had already placed you just beside Erwin. Everyone watched as Levi walked closer to your body.
As you struggled to open your eyes, you tilted your head to the side. Blurriness was all you saw but once your vision cleared just a bit you saw two more bodies. Armin and Erwin, both struggling for their lives like you were. You knew it would come down to a decision hard to make. Was it Erwin? Humanity’s greatest chance of achieving victory. Was it Armin? The boy who had an incredible mind that could save humanity. Or is it you? The girl who could change the world. It was no doubt that Eren and Mikasa wanted it to be Armin, while Hange and Floch knew it was supposed to be Erwin, but Levi? He knew it could to be you. He knew you were capable of leading the regiment, you have always been Erwin’s choice to be the next commander yet you denied it as you wanted to retire after the retake of Wall Maria. Was it a selfish choice? Yes it was, but for once can he be selfish?
“Y/N…” Levi said in a low tone, your eyes slowly went from Erwin to the man beside you. You did your best to smile, even if it hurt, when you saw Levi’s eyes. Levi listened to Hange give a speech about what they felt when it comes to losing someone. They all knew this was a hard decision to make especially to Levi. Hange knew how much Levi had grown fond of you, whether it was because of your stubbornness or your sweet smile, Levi had grown to like you.
 The captain had already taken the serum and injection from its case when Eren grabbed a hold of his ankle. Eren asked Levi about the sea, while for you everything was starting to grow heavy. You wanted to rest, even for a short time. You heard Levi telling them to leave. Once again you heard the gears go off and you knew you were left there with Levi, who has the toughest job of all. To choose between the three of you.
When you felt the sleeve of your jacket being pulled up, your eyes opened. Your hands shakily grabbed Levi’s hands, a small smile on your face. The smile that he wished to see every morning. “Make the right choice.”
“I am.” he replied shortly. “I know you could help lead us to victory.”
“I’m not the right choice, we both know that.” Your voice came out weaker than before, Levi knew your time was running out.
“I can’t lose you too.” he mutters, His mother, Isabelle, Furlan, Eld, Petra, Ororou, Gunther, the list goes on, he lost so many already. Not you too.
You managed to laugh a bit. “I won’t leave you.” you said softly. You struggled to move your right hand but you did, you place it on where Levi’s heart was. “As shitty as it sounds, I’ll always be here.”
“You should've stayed behind.” Levi mutters. “You told me you were gonna stay behind, it would've been easier.”
“I never liked easy things.” you started off. “Maybe that’s why I liked you. Being your friend wasn't easy, making you smile was the hardest thing I ever did.” you continued to ramble even if your body hurt, you wanted to say these things first. “But believe it or not, it’s the best thing I did. Levi, I know the decision isn't easy but I know you’ll do the right thing.” you advised and gave him one last smile. “For humanity, I’m happy enough to lay my life.” she mutters to herself, convincing herself that she was okay with this.
“You can let me go, now.” you say happily, even if pained you to leave him by himself, you couldn't fight fate. “I love you.” and with those words you drew your final breath.
Levi looked at you, sadness in his eyes. He saw as the smile still on your face was now lifeless. He knew he would do the right thing like you said, even if it broke him. He was supposed to open his mouth to say the words you have been dying to hear for him. I love you too.
But he was too late.

Just a pup (inuyasha)
Tumblr media
Kagome smirked as she looked out the window of her bedroom, watching as Inuyasha popped out of the well looking excited and blushing. It was the second Friday of the month, which per the agreement the two of them agreed on, meant it was Inuyasha's punishment night.
Many of their friends, and well, ANYONE who knew Inuyasha would of been shocked to learn that the bad ass demon slayer was a natural submissive, who got his rocks off being ordered around and teased by people weaker then him, and more to the point, being spanked like a naughty little boy. Lord knows Kagome had been shocked when he confess (Well shocked and amused) and she had agreed to humor the silly pup and spend the second and fourth Friday of every month making him a little bitch, the First and third were romantic date nights.
With date nights in the past (it was just easier to get a seat at a inn then a fancy restaurant in the present) and punishment nights in the present (So no one heard Inuyasha yowling for mercy, They timed it for when Kagome's mom and grandpa would take Souta out to a movie) it was working out to a point, though Inuyasha had started to phone in his half of the deal to Kagome's annoyance.
'Well after tonight he'll know what to expect if he can't measure up~' She thought with a evil little giggle, then went down to meet him at the door.
Inuyasha couldn't help but grin like a fucking school girl as Kagome answered the door, giggling softly. He didn't quite understand why he wanted to be dominated when he hated being hurt (a big part in picking Kagome to punish him, At her hardest she barely hurt his behind, though he played it up like she was killing him) But he knew he was at his hardest when she abused him.
"About time Pup. Your five minutes late." Kagome said, sneering at him and making his cock twitch in his pants.
He knew of course he was on time, it was all part of the role play.
"I'm sorry Miss Kagome, I couldn't help it." Inuyasha mewed, looking down at the floor, his ears drooping, and trying not to grin.
"Oh you'll be sorry alright~" She said and grabbed him by the collar and lead the way to her room. "Though I have a surprise for you my dirty little pup."
"O-Oh?" Inuyasha asked, though he was distracted by a scent in the air as they got to the second story of the house. it was familiar but there's no way it could be what he was thinking it was.
"A yup~ I've noticed that despite all the wailing and whining you do, I'm not really hurting your cute little butt." Kagome said, opening the door to her room.
And sitting on her bed, holding the fire harden wooden paddle with holes drilled into it to cut down on air resistance, was Koga.
"So I asked Koga to help me give you the punishment you sooo seem to need and want. Your welcome." Kagome giggled as Inuyasha froze, blushing and then snarling.
"Now now Pup, none of that!" Koga ordered. "We both know a fight between us would be a draw, but think of how much everyone back home would loooove to hear about what a little fucking wimp you are, that you beg to be spanked and stepped." Koga said, smirking and wagging a finger.
The thought of all of his other friends and well, everyone that they both knew knowing what a little bitch he was took the fight out of Inuyasha, even as his cock twitched and throbbed and tented out his pants, a small damp spot appeared from pre.
"I..but..Kagommmme! the deal wa-" Inuyasha turned his attention to his mistress/girlfriend, but was cut off.
"The deal was I dominate your subby bitch ass and get romantic dates in exchange. do you recall what our 'date' was Pup?" Kagome asked, frowning and shaking her head, and trying not to laugh at how hard Inuyasha was despite looking so mad and scared.
"W-We had a picnic by the lake an-"
"And you spent half of it whining about me not bringing any ramen cups and the other half chasing fish in the water because you didn't like the pasta dish I made for you." Kagome said, glaring.
"O-Oh uh..I'm sorry?" Inuyasha said/asked and poked his index fingers together.
"Like I said before, you WILL be. Koga here knows how to treat bad little pups like you and has lots of fun ideas planned out, and all he wants in return is a little loving." Kagome coo'ed.
"Y-Your not gonna.. with him..are you?" Inuyasha whined, but his cock was leaking big time now.
"Of course I am..Maybe He'll last longer then 30 seconds..Of course if you're THAT against me getting fucked by a real man, someone who doesn't need to be scolded like a naughty little boy..you could always ride Koga." Kagome giggled. "Lords knows you love it when I finger you."
"Heh, Hey I'm a open guy, as long as i get to fuck a nice tight hole i'm game." Koga laughed.
"but..but.." Inuyasha mewed.
"That's right, in your butt..or you mouth. actually yeah, Your gonna wanna suck it first." Koga said, chuckling and gesturing Inuyasha over with a finger. "Now enough of this huffing and puffing and whining, the longer you put this off, the more likely it is more people are gonna find out what a subby little bitch you are."
Inuyasha knew he should just storm out. or at least try and fuck Koga's shit up, even though the wolf demon was right that they were basically equals and would only in a draw. there was a lot of should of's.. but in the end Inuyasha's body betrayed him and he hooked his thumbs in the waistline of his pants and dropped, them, then walked over and knelled in front of Koga, who chuckled and patted his head.
"Good puppy."
Koga found himself a little jealous as he looked down at Inuyasha. just wasn't fair that a total bitch like him could have such a huge piece of fuck meat, 9 1/2 inches when Koga was only a 'mere' 7, though Koga's was thicker.
"Since you went and wasted time with all your whining and bitch, I think you owe me a little something to make up for wasting my time." Koga said, press his bare foot on the tip of Inuyasha's cock, not hard enough to hurt but the puppy let out a whimper even as his cock leaked on Koga's foot.
"Y-Yes Sir. I'm sorry sir." Inuyasha mewed softly.
"The bottom of my feet are dirty from walking to the well and coming though JUST to humor you, so I think they deserve a little tongue bath, don't you?" Koga asked, shifting his weight around on his foot and then switching up, Inuyasha's cock juice coating his soles.
"Heh, Really? I don't usually make him do THAT." Kagome giggled, sitting back and enjoying the show.
"Well I dare say he enjoys the idea." Koga chuckled, raising a foot for her to see the pre all over it,then held it in front of Inuyasha's face. "I'm waiting~"
He was actually testing to see how far he could push the little bitch, and if Inuyasha had outright refused well he'd just make up for it with the paddling. Instead though Inuyasha's cute pink tongue darted out, taking quick fast licks on the sole of of his foot.
"Pfttttt Bwhahahaha!" Kagome laughed. "No way!"
"Heh, good boy Inuyasha, however I want long heel to toe licks. so you get the full experience." Koga instructed.
"Y-Yes sir. Sorry." Inuyasha whined, closing his eyes and leaning in.
"Ah ah ah, and eyes open and looking at me while you do it. I know this is your first time worshiping a alpha males feet so I'm be nice, but we DO have to nip bad habits in the bud~" Koga chuckled.
The half demon nodded and locked eyes with Koga, as much as he could as he slurped and licked away on foot, only closing them when hitting super foul tasting spots on Koga's foot. when the first one was clean, Koga simply offered up the other one and made small talk with Kagome while Inuyasha worked, as if he was just a object.
when it was all over Koga held his feet up, using Inuyasha's shoulders to do see and had Kagome inspect them.
"Hmm yup, they're spotless. Good to know I have a good widdle foot licker I can count on to take care of my feet every night. you wouldn't believe how dirty and smelly they get walking everywhere." Kagome said and Inuyasha whimpered.
"Oh, you don't like that idea pup?" Koga asked, smirking. "It's ok if you only like to worship men's feet. I always figured you played for both teams."
"N-No! I'll lick Kagome's feet!" Inuyasha protested.
"Awww! that's so cute! you think you had a choice!" Kagome squealed and with Koga's feet down she was gonna give him a hug and a kiss, then pulled back and held her nose. "Yuck! foot breath!"
"Yeahhh you're gonna wanna keep lots of mints around if you wanna kiss him after he's been cleaning your feet." Koga laughed as Inuyasha squirmed. "That or just don't kiss him anymore."
"Hmm I'll have to think about that."
"I..but.." Inuyasha whined, turning back and forth looking at both of them.
"Pup, stop fussing and get over my lap, it's time for your reward for being SUCH a good little foot bitch." Koga said, patting his lap.
"...Yes sir." Was all the defeated by his own perverted desires half demon could say, and he got over Koga's lap.
Laying over Koga's lap Inuyasha could feel just how 'excited' this turn of events was making the wolf demon, Koga's manhood was poking him in the tummy.
'a manhood that'll end up in me..or Kagome..All because I couldn't be a good boyfriend.' Inuyasha thought.
He'd never pictured being spanked by anther man, or having to clean someones feet and yet here he was and the most damnable thing of it all was his hard-on wouldn't go away!
his leaking manhood was dangling as Koga kept his legs spread but Inuyasha was fairly certain he was gonna be cumming ropes before long.
'Maybe once I nut I'll be able to clearly..' He thought, then Koga's voice drew his attention.
"Now Inuyasha, as I understand it, Kagome spanks you for 10 minutes., a time length I'm willing to match but I will let you end it early if it's too much for you. All you have to do is say 'Daddy pwease stop!' However if you do that, Or if you wet yourself or cum, you're little bitch ass will be going in diapers for the rest of the night." Koga said and nodded to Kagome who tugged out a pack of thick, nursery print diapers and smirked.
"...What?!" Inuyasha yelped trying to get out of Koga's lap and being held in place with ease, his own submissive nature keeping him for going all out to break free.
"I didn't stutter. But hey, it's ALL you, all you have to do is keep your bladder and cock under control, and take my paddling like a good boy! You can do that can't you?" Koga challenged.
"Yes!" Inuyasha huffed while thinking 'No!'
"of course even if you pee or nut, the spanking will go on till the time limit is up, but every 'accident' means one diaper.. Hope you're not big on repeat performances because I WILL put your butt in that whoooole pack if you 'earn' it." Koga chuckled.
"Is it weird I'm finding the idea of him in huggies while we fuck hawt?" Kagome asked, biting her lip.
"Not at all, we all have our kinks!" Koga said cheerfully and tapped the paddle lightly on Inuyasha's butt. "Right pup?"
"Yes daddy!" Inuyasha said then covered his mouth as Kagome and Koga laughed.
Watching her boyfriend/bitch quiver over Koga's lap, Kagome had no doubt that Inuyasha was gonna be in at least 3 diapers, the little bitch liked to edge himself for at least 3 hours a day on the week when he'd be getting spanked.
'Hell, forget three, I might have to go out and get anther pack of diapers!' Kagome thought, her folds getting damp as she pictured Inuyasha in a massive diaperzilla hugging a teddy bear and watching her get fucked. 'Huh..Kink unlocked.' She mused.
She was drawn out of her little fantasy as the first swat stuck and she could almost feel the force of the blow herself and winced.
the effect on Inuyasha's was almost cartoonish, his semi bubble butt seemed to deform around the force of the paddle as Inuyasha's mouth dropped open and his eyes went wide.
Before he could even begin wailing (which followed quickly enough) Koga stuck anther 3 blows on the pup's backside, quickly turning it bright red and then the howling and sobbing came.
'Damn, 4 blows in about ten seconds..Inuyasha's not gonna be able to sit for a week!'
As blows 5 6 7 and 8 hit Inuyasha was a blubbering mess and couldn't even talk right as a massive cum shot hit the floor.
"Wow that didn't take long." Koga teased. "Kagome could you be a dear and keep count, I don't think our little puppy is gonna be able to."
"of course~" Kagome cooed, and ripped open the package of diapers, taking one out and setting it on the desk next to her, then she winked at Inuyasha. "I think you might wanna toss in the towel pup.. It hasn't even been a minute yet."
"I-I'll never gi- AH FUCK!" Inuyasha had been in the middle of declaring his iron will, how he'd never give up when the paddle started to come down on his red cheek and reduce him back to sobbing and crying, kicking his legs and pounding his fists but there was no way out for him.
Kagome gave up trying to count the blows and just watched Inuyasha's useless big cock swing back and forth and seeing it twitch and tremble at the 2 minute mark got ready to pull out a second diaper, and wasn't disappointed when he indeed fired off again.
"Wow Inuyasha, you much REALLY like being Koga's bitch! Normally you only cum ONCE for me!" Kagome teased. "Or was it worshiping his feet first just primed you up?" She snickered.
Inuyasha couldn't even try and reply, at least with words, but but his body did and Kagome pulled out a third diaper.
Koga had to give Inuyasha credit, the mutt had lasted five minutes so far, which was four more then Koga had counted on. Of course he wasn't going all out either as he wanted Inuyasha able to walk. The pup was up to 6 diapers, and Koga was glad Kagome had insisted on putting down a puppy housebreaking pad since only five of the diapers were from cum shots.
Inuyasha had stopped fighting and was just taking the blows now, and if Koga didn't know any better the half demon seemed to be raising his buns up to meet the paddle.
"C-Come On.. That all you g-got?" Inuyasha said, sniffling and giving a impish grin as he looked over his shoulder.
'Ohhh he's adapted to the pain.. heh..and thinks he's got my number.. adorable.'
"Actually I've been holding back..Trying to be nice. but since you want full force." Koga said,Smiling like he was offering Inuyasha a treat for being a good boy and trying not to laugh at the look of terror on Inuyasha's face.
"Y-Your bluffing!" Inuyasha squealed.
"Heh, I dunno pup, I think he has been, since he'd have to make this last 10 whole minutes." Kagome chimed in, a hand down the front of her panties. "But go ahead, flip that coin. I'm loving the show."
Koga raised his arm up and got ready to deliver a full on blow to Inuyasha's red and bruised back side when Inuyasha screamed, wet himself and JUST before the paddle could hit..
"Daddy pwease stop!" Came out of his mouth.
The paddle stopped though the force from it made the pup's red bubble butt ripple and Koga chuckled as Kagome huffed.
"Boooo!" She whined.
"Now now Kagome, a deal's a deal. Inuyasha, go and stand with your nose in the corner while we clean up and get your DIAPERS ready." Koga said, tugging Inuyasha up in his lap and trying not to melt as the sniffling and sobbing pup hugging him and nodded.. giving Koga a kiss on the cheek before going to the corner.
'If I didn't know any better I'd say someones getting a crush on me.' Koga thought, then him and Kagome started to take care of the clean up.
Nose in the corner and his butt on fire, Inuyasha fought the urge to rub his cheeks since good boys took their lickings. he was confused as to why he had smooched Koga and tried to just play it off as caught up in the mood though as he waited for the ok to come out of the corner he caught himself almost sucking on his thumb three times.
Between the claw on his thumb and how sharp his fangs were he knew THAT wouldn't end well and just shifted from foot to foot.
"Don't tell me you need to use the potty before we diaper you up little guy? You already did two super piddles!" Kagome asked, clearly mistaking his fidgeting for a potty dance.
"N-No Sowwy.." Inuyasha called.
"Well if you wanna try and uh-oh before you go back in diapers, let us know." Koga said.
"Oh? your gonna be that nice?" Kagome asked.
"..Do you really want your room to smell like a poopie diaper?" Koga pointed out
"..Touche...Inuyasha go sit on the potty and try and boom boom!" Kagome ordered, a little too fast.
Inuyasha didn't really feel the need to go, but knew better then to argue and walked by, seeing them laying out the seven diapers and cutting slits in the front and back.
5 minutes later, after giving it a honest try and just pooting on the bowl, Inuyasha walked back in and looked at the massive diaper they had put together for him, apparently taking the time to glue the diapers together to make sure they wouldn't sag.
"Ready to go back into huggies pup?" Koga asked, smiling and grinning, kneeling by the diapers.
Kagome meanwhile was Naked and on the bed, tapping her fingers on the bed frame impatient to get her fun for the night.
"Do I really have a choice?" Inuyasha asked, poking his index fingers together.
it was odd, he was still aroused but for some reason, his wonderful piece of fuck meat was drooping now between his legs.
"heh, not really." Koga said.
"So hurry up! Someone us wanna get laid tonight!" Kagome whined, then glared as Inuyasha blew a raspberry at her. "Koga, spank him again."
"Wait what!?" Inuyasha yelped, and his hands went to his poor bruised backside.
"I don't think I'll have time to spank him and fuck you Kagome." Koga said, sweat dropping.
"finnne just hurry upppp!"She whined.
"Sheesh, are you sure she doesn't need a diaper too daddy?" Inuyasha asked, grinning impishly as he walked over and plopped down on the diapers, feeling like he'd sat on a thick pillow and stirring up some baby powder.
"Hey!" Kagome huffed, blushing.
"heh, Inuyasha, be good. Kagome, settle down." Koga said, shaking his head a little and then quickly got Inuyasha tapped up nice and snug in the diapers and kissed his forehead.
He also reached and grabbed a stuffed dog he'd taken from Souta's room and gave it to Inuyasha to hug and cuddle, then stood up and started to strip.
"Alright Inuyasha, I want you to pay attention and watch how a MAN fucks a woman. you might ONE day be able to please a lady, though I think it's more likely your sex life if gonna be getting spanked and diapered from now on." Koga said, and winked. "and from the look's of things, you don't mind."
Inuyasha went to argue that and then looked down, realizing he'd gotten hard from the mental image of never getting pussy again.
He could of said it was the attention, he could of claimed it was because he knew he was about to get a show..but what Inuyasha did instead was hug the stuffie to his chest and nod.
"Yes daddy."
Somehow seeing her boyfriend reduced to a oversized baby had Kagome hotter then she'd ever been, and as long as he didn't fill the back of the diapers she could see A LOT fun in the future with him in diapers and being cucked.
Of course the fact that Koga was thicker then Inuyasha and would hopefully last longer might of had something to do with it.
Laying on her back and spreading her legs, she looked up at Koga with loving eyed and coo'ed out a plea. "Take me~" feeling like this was some sort of romantic novel...and only to have Koga show apparently all demons could be stupid as he got a confused look on his face.
"Uh..But I thought you wanted to fuck..where am I taking you?" he asked.
"..Demon's..Just stick it in me already." She muttered, face palming.
"Humans.." he muttered and then thrusted into her in one fast motion and grinned as she barked.
As Koga went to work and Kagome found herself unable to speak, she did have enough brain power as she was fucked into bliss think about how many, just maybe.. she shouldn't of assumed she could handle a thicker cock with ease.
Half a hour later and Kagome was left a quivering mess on her bed, drooling and eyes glazed over. Koga had given up trying to keep track of the orgasms she'd had compared to his but knew in the long run of things he was technicality the loser of the night, trailing behind Inuyasha and Kagome with a mere 3.
Licking her clean to improve her chances of not getting knocked up (He wasn't one of those prunes who couldn't handle their own flavor) he covered her up and opened a window to help get the sex smell out of the room, then looked over at Inuyasha.
the half demon had conked out early on in the love making, after squirting in his diapers and the stuffie was thankfully out of his grip even if it was damp with drool from Inuyasha making out with it.
'Now what do I do with him?' Koga thought, rubbing his chin, though his still ready for action cock had a answer even as he got dressed.
He had a inkling that it would be nothing but a headache for Kagome and the pup if he left him here like this, curled up on the floor in his diapers.
'I suppose it's my fatherly 'duty' to just take him with me.' Koga thought, smirking as he slowly scooped up the half demon.
There was no shortage of fun he could have with something like this back home, and heck, wasn't he always getting pestered to settle down and raise a cub of his own?
Two birds one stone.
He thought about leaving a note to explain to Kagome that he was taking Inuyasha with him, but then recalled that the chances of her being able to read wolf tribe were slim to none and besides, she was a clever girl.
Slipping out the window as a car was pulling in the driveway, Koga vanished into well with Inuyasha, musing how he had showed up to be a bull, and left a daddy.
The end

Note
i mean they did give us an explanation (not an excuse, i'm not saying the reason excuses shit let's be clear!) as to why she went so hard in the demonic direction, it's a direct response to being abused as a child for using any of her powers, period. like i get the whole i'm being treated as a monster so i'll just be one motto that abi adopted especially given that her witch side of her family rejected her and her father's side did too because MISOGINY
like she really couldn't exist in an inbetween she sort of had no choice but to pick and she picked evil and tbh i much preferred their attempt at redeeming her than whatever the fuck they tried to do with parker. parker was meant to be like cole and i know this fandom loves to act like cole was evil all the time but he was not. the first half of season 4 and the last half of season 3 this man was TRYING his hardest. he was tempted so many times and didn't stray
idk which user said it but they really said it best, cole was like a magnet for evil most of the time like anytime he was getting his shit together and was ready to commit to being good not just for phoebe but trying to do good some shit would happen. he was willing to be a mortal, stripped of his powers and the source bullshit happened. parker on the other hand tried for two milliseconds before succumbing to evil like he clearly did not love maggie enough
tbh like let's call a spade a spade parker and maggie will Never be cole and phoebe i honestly don't like the i am going to murder you and in order to do that i am going to pretend to be the perfect man for you plotline bc like while yes cole was falling in love w phoebe phoebe was falling in love w the facade you know However that plotline? has so much more sex appeal than whatever parker and maggie were doing. i mean. hello?? holding a dagger up while you're kissing her, you have to plunge it into her heart, but you can't you love her too much, like???? like!!!!!!!! blasting him across the room w your psychic vagina fucking wishes. bc imo the like real sex appeal of cole and honestly the romantic one too was that he was like Evil he's like i am a bad person and i do not love until he meets phoebe and suddenly he's like woah. hey now. like?? that's so much better than i'm half demon but i'm fighting it and i'm a momma's boy and she's using her science to cure me uwu like that's cute and all but then is he even really a demon? it's like you said like i think idk i might be reaching but it makes him succumbing to evil so much weaker bc cole was fighting against a century of doing shady shit parker was never full evil and then "fell in love" (??) maggie but then still chose to go full evil not a past he was falling on bc he was scared (confession: been a hot minute since i've watched s1 but like. i am confident he was never really his father's right hand man that was hunter's job, the much more fun demon who we killed off too soon) instead parker just chose to be evil bc like ??? he did??? idk like why even. he was poorly written. full stop.
anyways! abi! i will say introducing her mother really was like. thee explanation. like what's that one post like daddy issues will make you like a people pleaser and awkward at parties but mommy issues will make u a psychopath? yeah. that. parker & abi. still like. i feel like they should have gone quirky morally gray villain than try to do the full i see the error of my ways and am good now because like. idk like what exactly was her redemption. like what was the catalyst. like tcos being like hey! ur being bad. bc like. i'm pretty sure when you are slicing open a dead body so u can scrawl a message in blood. u know you're being bad. you know that is a choice you're making. like. i don't fully understand her change of heart. i think i would have liked it more if she remained her pseudo feminist gay rights evil overlord who had a very terse relationship w tcos like. like they weren't even friends but idk maybe macy did some magic w her demonic powers like tying the charmed ones to abi so if any of them were to die then abi would die too but unfortunately that's vice versa so they can't kill her w/o risking killing one of them (also if we did this plotline the writers would actually have to listen and work with mads instead of just saying don't let the door hit you on your way out)
in regards to cole, i don't like his "redemption arc" bc like. we started it and they we said fuck that he's the source now so it's less of a redemption arc and more like a redemption crescent sliced in half by the hardest tank southbound anyone has ever seen. but they did do it right for the most part. like, yes, he was mainly being good for phoebe not because like he wanted to be good but more because he wanted phoebe But we were sowing seeds of like. he could have potential to grow like the good the bad and the cursed when prue's like your first instinct shouldn't be to kill and cole does like try to actually help the narrative but then he "backslides" by killing that one guy which like honestly? the guy deserved it But if u are currently in demon recovery maybe just don't. like cole could have just shimmered behind him and knocked him out. like. if he really wanted to prove he was good and all that. i still prolly woulda killed the guy too idk maybe not tho if prue is breathing down my neck if i am trying to pass the in-laws test i do tend to refrain from murder just as a baseline rule. anyways. early s4 cole ftw. my favorite cole era except for maybe when he’s batshit crazy bc i do love julian’s acting there. like um that scene where the doors all start rattling and there’s echoing knocking and everyone’s like what the fuck is going on right now and then cole shimmers in and they’re like jesus!! cole! and he’s like well i knocked and in the same scene the ohmygod wait ur pregnant 🥺 like. phole had already tanked by then. but at least cole was entertaining there, unlike in his source era which just sucked in like. every conceivable way.

The (Victorious) Princess Bride: Chapter 2
Summary: Scott Lang is tasked with one of his hardest missions ever. Keep a trio of kids occupied as their parents decide to go on date nights. Never one to turn down a challenge or miss the chance to impress one of his superhero idols, Scott accepts. After his usual tricks for amusing kids fall through, he falls back on one of the classics: a story. If princesses, sword fighting, pirates, Valkyries, and magic are what it takes to keep these kids from tearing the house down, then he accepts.
Infinity War/ Endgame never happens. Mentions of chaotic dad Tony Stark. Loki x Sigyn.
CHAPTER SUMMARY:  After Loki gets 'killed' by the Dread Pirate Fury, Sigyn vows to never love again. Fast forward 5 years and she's being forced to marry the Grandmaster and is suddenly in the hands of a familiar cast of characters. One of them happens to look a little too familiar.
MASTERLIST
Scott had never been more grateful for Thor loving his own stories as he tried to continue with his own. He would really have to thank him for it later, honestly.
Loki had more than enough money for marriage, but more importantly he would need approval from his father. The time came when he had to pack the few belongings he had and left the farm to seek his fortune in the war with Svart...awhata.
“You said it wrong,” The dark haired boy piped up. His brother nodded in agreement.
“Who’s telling the story here, buckaroo?” Scott furrowed his brow as he continued.
Fine. The war with...Sakaar. Still, it was a very emotional time for Sigyn.
“I fear I’ll never see you again,” Sigyn sniffled as she clung to Loki like she truly meant her words. She wanted to never leave the spot where they stood. She knew that the war was dangerous and there was more of a chance that she would never see him again than either of them would truly like to believe.
 “Of course you will,” Loki reassured her.
“But what if something happens to you?” Sigyn wiped at her eyes as the tears began to fall in spite of herself.
 A small smile crossed Loki’s face as he wiped one of her tears away. “Hear this now. I will return for you no matter what.” Sigyn opened her mouth to interrupt him, but Loki continued. His face was more stern now, a determined look in his eye. “This is true love. You think this happens every day?”
Sigyn’s heart fluttered as she studied his face. There was no hint of trickery in his eyes or anything to make her think the words he spoke were false.
The blonde let out a weak laugh as she threw her arms around Loki’s neck. She pressed a kiss to his cheek and nuzzled her face into his neck. He might be speaking the truth, but there was no telling what the Norns had in store for them.
Tumblr media
“Loki never reached his destination,” Scott stated solemnly. “His crew was attacked by the Dread Pirate Fury. Now the Dread Pirate Fury never kept captives alive. When Sigyn got the news that Loki had been killed…”
“Murdered by pirates?” The blond haired boy sounded shocked despite trying to come off as disinterested.
A small noise behind him made Scott turn quickly in his seat. “Wait who got murdered by pirates?”
“Jesus,” Scott yelped as he placed a hand over his heart.
The young girl on the couch threw her arms in the air. “Peter! Come sit! Uncle Scott is telling us a story and Loki just got killed by pirates!”
The confused look on Peter’s face seemed to grow even more quizzical as he practically tiptoed over to take a seat on the couch. “Wait as in Loki Loki?”
“Of course not,” the dark-haired boy scoffed. “He would never let himself get killed by something as easy to beat as a mortal pirate.”
“Wait Dread Pirate Fury? Is that because of the eye-”
“How did you even get inside? Aren’t I the only one on baby-sitting duty tonight?”
“Oh!” Peter grinned. “Mr. Stark gave me a key!” He produced a house key from seemingly out of nowhere. “I was in the neighborhood and I was hungry but if you’re telling a story, I’m down.”
“Where was I?” Scott frowned as he rubbed the back of his head.
“Killed by pirates,” the two young boys answered together.
Peter eyed the two of them nervously before he turned and nodded at Scott.
Tumblr media
Anyway . When Sigyn found out that Loki had been killed, she went into her room and shut the door. For days, she didn’t eat or sleep. She swore she would never love again. After the death of his youngest son, Odin grew weaker. The war with Sakaar was eventually lost with the Grandmaster naming himself ruler over Asgard and his own country. The other prince had disappeared shortly after the war was lost. There was almost nothing left to remind her of how life was before anymore.
Five years passed, the main square of Asgard was filled as it hadn’t been in years to hear the announcement of the great Grandmaster’s bride to be.
The extravagant Grandmaster stepped out onto the balcony of the castle and raised a hand as the crowd grew silent. “Hey there, Sakaarans. I have a fantastic announcement! A month from now, our wonderful country will have its 5th anniversary of joining with the slightly less incredible country of Asgard. But look how much you’ve improved in only 5 years!” From where she stood, Sigyn rolled her eyes. “On that sundown, I shall marry a lady who was once a commoner like yourselves.”
While that may have been true, at least Loki had never called her a commoner. At least not to her face anyway. Everything about the Grandmaster made her stomach turn and her blood boil. Most of all, she hated the fact that she had been sold off like a high prized goat to the man that was the reason her true love was dead.
“But perhaps, you will not find her common now. My people! The Queen Sigyn!”
The blonde woman took a deep breath as she allowed herself to be led out into the blinding sunlight. She had no doubt that the fanfare would have been just as grand if Odin was still king, but still. It might have been the way that her name sounded when the Grandmaster spoke, but it felt like the world was spinning. People were bowing to her and it took everything in her not to beg them to just stand up.
She didn’t want this. She missed the farm and her horses. More importantly, she missed the way the kingdom was before. She missed Loki.
Sigyn’s emptiness consumed her. Although the law of the land gave the Grandmaster the right to choose his bride, she did not love him. Despite his reassurance that she would grow to love him, the only joy that Sigyn found was on her daily ride.
Sigyn couldn’t stop herself from smiling as the horse galloped along through the orchard. As the wind blew her hair back and she felt the fresh air in her lungs, the woman felt at peace. Her hazel eyes narrowed as she spotted figures in the distance. She grew close enough to see them clearly and pulled on the reins to slow her horse to a stop.
“My lady!” A bald man spoke from the center of the small group. “A word.” She didn’t like this man, but still she didn’t make a move to get going. A smaller woman stood beside him with a taller blond man alongside her. Something about the blond man looked familiar. “We are but poor lost circus performers. Is there a village nearby?”
The hair on the back of Sigyn’s neck raised as her eyes darted around quickly. “There is nothing nearby, good sir,” she replied briskly, “not for miles.”
The blond man’s relaxed expression seemed to crumble slightly as she heard something move behind her.
“Then there will be no one around to hear you scream,” the bald man grinned at her.
Sigyn turned and her eyes widened as a bright green hand moved towards her. A startled yelp stopped halfway through as his fingers pinched her neck. She fainted. The blond man stepped forward quick enough to catch her as she swayed forward and began to fall from the back of her horse.
“Well done, Hulk!” Skurge made a move like he was about to clap the green giant on the arm but some common sense got into him as he lowered his hand.
The dark-haired woman furrowed her brow as the blond walked over with the fainted woman in his arms. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“Don’t you lot want to get back at the Grandmaster for stealing your home? And more importantly, my stuff. ”
Hulk grunted as he stomped over to rejoin the group.
“Easy there, buddy. I think you’re a bit too big for the boat, yeah?” Valkyrie raised a hand in the air.
The green monster let out a low growl of annoyance as his hands began to quiver. Before their eyes, he transformed back into a man. A much smaller, more nervous looking man than the fainted woman could probably guess. He exchanged a worried look with the blond man as Skurge went to work on a piece of cloth.
“Are you sure that this is the best way to get back at him? I mean isn’t this a little...extreme?” The nervous looking man asked.
“The best way to piss this git off is to take his stuff. Blondie here is his future bride, therefore,” he slapped the horse on its backside, “one of the most important parts of his stuff.”
Valkyrie’s eyes narrowed as he continued.
“I just placed a piece of fabric with Jotunheim’s crest on it on the lass’s horse. Everyone will think that the Jotun’s took her. Bang, boom, Bob’s your uncle. He’s got a war on his hands and we all get paid. And Val here can go back to drinking her sorrows away.”
The woman moved her hand dangerously close to her sword as Banner stepped forward. The man raised a hand slightly and she seemed to freeze.
Her sword remained in its sheath, but her eyes narrowed a little more dangerously as he continued.
“When he finds her body dead on the shores of Jotunheim, his suspicions about them will be totally confirmed! It’s genius!”
“It’s murder,” Thor frowned as he glanced nervously at the warrior woman beside him. “You never said anything about killing anyone.”
“I hired you to help me start a war, your highness . Unless you and Hulky would rather go back to fighting in the pits,” Skurge shot them a poisonous smile.
Banner let out a sigh as he turned to board the small ship with the others following behind him. “I don’t think it’s right to kill an innocent girl!”
“Oi!” Skurge shouted. Valkyrie stopped halfway through her check of the ropes on the sail. “Am I going nuts or did the word think escape your lips? No offense doctor, but I didn’t hire you . I hired the big man. You’re only here because he’s too big for the ship!”
Skurge didn’t give a damn about the other three in his crew, that much was evident.
“The sun’s getting low,” Thor said calmly as he laid Sigyn down and began to tie up her wrists.
“I agree with them, unfortunately,” Valkyrie shrugged as Banner began to pace the small deck of the ship.
“What happens to her is none of your concern, ya got it?” Skurge rounded on her. Valkyrie stared right back. “When I found you, you were so slobbering drunk that ya couldn’t buy brandy.”
Sigyn was beginning to stir now even as Thor continued to tie check the knots on her wrists.
“You were friendless! Wrecking havoc wherever you went,” the bald man continued his rampage as Sigyn regained consciousness.
Thor tapped her on the hand gently as he rose to his feet to join the others. She couldn’t help but feel perplexed about the whole thing. First of all, she’d been stupid enough to let herself get kidnapped. Second of all, one of the kidnappers had been gentle with her as if she were a baby. Now what were they doing?
“That Skurge,” the woman whispered. “He can fuss.” She grunted as she pulled on one of the ropes.
“I think he likes to scream,” Thor smirked as he climbed the small ladder towards the helm, “at us.”
“Probably he means no harm,” Valkyrie snickered even as she watched their boss’s shoulders tense in frustration.
Banner chimed in. “He’s really very short on charm!”
“Enough of that! The lot of ya,” Skurge shouted.
“Bruce, are those rocks ahead?” Valkyrie called out in a sickly sweet voice.
“If there are, we’ll all be dead,” Banner deadpanned.
Thor let out a roar of laughter as Skurge fumed even more.
What the hell had Sigyn gotten herself into.

“I bet his face was really...red,” the little girl grinned.
Peter let out a small laugh, “Nice one.”
“This rhyming game sure seems like it would be a lot of fun,” the blond boy raised an eyebrow.
Realization dawned on Scott’s face. Then his expression turned to one of amused horror. “Wait a minute, guys…”
“To play this game one would have to be very wise!” The black haired boy’s eyes sparkled with mischief.
“I wonder if we would win some sort of prize”
“Parker!”
“Aw,” Peter grinned. “Cmon Scott don’t be such a….a…”
“Barker?” The girl offered.
“Martyr,” the blond boy leaned forward in his seat.
“Oh that’s a good one!” His brother nodded in agreement.
“Alright I guess you guys don’t want to hear about the screaming eels and the,” Scott let out a sigh as he paused for dramatic effect, “cliffs of Insanity.”
The two boys cheered even as Peter inched a little further away from them on the couch. At least the kids weren’t trying to burn the house down like they did with their last babysitter.

A cough croaked involuntarily from your mouth, dust, and debris floating in the air. You try to stand up, to see if anyone around you was okay, but you couldn’t. You raise your head and groan, noticing your leg was stuck under a large piece of wood. Rapid searing pain shot down your leg, and you could see a bit of fresh blood coming out of the wound.
You know you shouldn’t have messed with anything—messed with Klaus. You should’ve known that he would’ve tried to get you to meet your demise.
You pushed the wrong buttons of the wrong person. Ultimately, he just wanted to protect his sister, which you knew. And with Klaus being Klaus, the only way he knew how was through violence.
However, that still doesn’t excuse any of his murderous actions that he’s sent your way.
Rebekah could date whomever she wanted to and love whomever she wanted to. Klaus maybe her brother, but she was still her own person. She could make her own decisions even if that means dating a human.
“Sister, you can’t be with a human.”
Rebekah scoffed at her brother and rolled her eyes. He sneered at the two of you when she wrapped an arm around your waist.
“She can do what she wants Klaus. You’re not in control of her as much as you think you are.”
Both Rebekah and Klaus’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. None of her past lovers had stood up to him like that--none that were human anyway. Every human that Rebekah had dated previously, always ran away from her when Klaus got involved.
Klaus was always relieved when she came to their family home and a human was wrapped around her finger. He could count on their fear to take over, and they’d run away.
However, that stopped with you.
“What did you just say, mortal?”
His vampire speed caught up with you, his gold eyes and sharp teeth were threatening you. Your heartbeat had quickened slightly at the sudden movement, however, you remained as unaffected as possible.
You stared into his hybrid eyes, looking almost bored. You knew that it only made him angrier, he looked like he was seething. Your eyes left him to look at Rebekah and saw her standing in front of you. She was blocking his path and you knew she was going to protect you with her life.
Klaus's glare flickered towards you again, “watch your back, little human.” And with that, he sped off in the opposite direction of the house.
In all truth, you didn’t want to be a vampire; you didn’t want an immortal life. You wanted to grow old someday and then have a grave next to that person.
Nevertheless, you knew what you signed up for when you started a relationship with her. At this point in your relationship, you knew that if you needed to, that you would let her turn you in a heartbeat.
You hadn’t said those three little words to Rebekah yet. It’d been hard with your last lover, considering that they weren’t all too kind and loving. Luckily, Rebekah knew of your situation and was there every step of the way. She never pressured you or made you rush into things, which you were always appreciative of.
However, now you were tangled in the Mikaelson family. You had pissed off Klaus for telling him off and defending your girlfriend.
You cursed to yourself as excruciating pain intensified on your chest. Your eyes trailed up to your chest to see more fresh, running blood coming out. You could feel something poking and prodigy into your chest—into the crevice of your rib cage.
“What’s this?”
Elijah looked over at you in intrigue. On the bar table was a small velvet box, just big enough for a ring. You nodded at the box, indicating that he should open to see what’s inside. His eyes flickered over to you and then to the small box, carefully opening it.
“A wedding ring? You haven’t even told each other your affections.”
You laughed towards the Original Vampire and shook your head, taking the small box back from him and placing it back in your pocket. You took a sip of your whiskey, letting it burn the back of your throat before continuing.
“It’s a promise ring. With my ex, I was never really shown any love. She would always tear me down every second that she got. That’s why I wanted to take things slow with Rebekah. I was scared of the same thing happening to her but I don’t want to be afraid anymore. I just want to be in love.”
“Do you?”
You fully down the rest of your whiskey, relishing in the bitter taste. You turned towards the vampire with a confused look on your face.
“What?”
Elijah let out a breath. Your first thought was that of annoyance but then you saw the bright smile on his face as he turned towards you.
“Do you love her?” You looked over at him with a smile graced upon your lips. He could hear your heartbeat start to rise.
“More than I’ve ever loved before.”
After your conversation with Elijah, he left you alone at the bar. Hayley had called him about getting groceries and something to do with the baby. So he bid you goodbye and off he went.
You just wished he stayed a bit longer and maybe you would be able to get help. Maybe you wouldn’t be stuck under a log and a piece of debris lodged into your chest. Maybe Klaus wouldn’t have ignited the bomb if he knew his brother was in there with you.
You couldn’t help but let a few tears slip down your cheeks. Was this how you were going to die? You didn’t even get a chance to tell the one girl you love how you feel. A hiccup places itself upon your lips as more tears roll down your cheeks.
You let out an air of relief as a bystander ran into the destroyed bar yelling for any survivors. You screamed over at them to help you and they called the ambulance immediately. However, you were putting up a fight. Sure, you needed medical attention but it seems that all you could muster up was:
“I need to see her.”
~~
You limped up to the Mikaelson house, wincing a bit as you walked up the steps. It was honestly amazing how much your body was resilient. The wrath and adrenaline that was surging through you was keeping you alive and awake.
The only thing crossing your mind was Rebekah and the disdain for Klaus. Your emotions were raging out and you needed Klaus to see you—alive. You needed that satisfaction that he couldn’t kill you, despite being mortal.
“I’m sorry, sister, she was in that accident.” Klaus’s voice was mixed with faux sweetness and sorrow. What made your heart clench was the loud cries coming from Rebekah and her screams in anguish only got louder.
You slammed open the door with your arm and everyone had their eyes locked on yours. Klaus’s eyebrows shot up in surprise at the fact that you were standing before them with crusted blood and wooden wreckage.
Rebekah ran towards you and enveloped you in a hug, her soft cries loud in your ears. You tried to hold her as good as you could but it was hard from the pain. You whispered sweet nothings into her ear as she calmed down—your presence and being alive had already soothed her pain.
“Couldn’t kill me, Klaus? A little Ole mortal like me has bested you.”
You could hear the feral growl escape his throat and before he could take any step closer, Rebekah put herself in front of you with her hand wrapped around your wrist.
“You’re such a coward, brother. I understand that you’re protective but this? You intentionally killed my love. She’s not like the others, don’t you get that? She’s understanding and brace and kind unlike you.”
You grit your teeth as a tiny second of pain flashed across his face. Blood now coated your mouth, your teeth were outlined in the red liquid. You tried to speak in rage towards your lovers brother but you suddenly became fainter. Rebekah quickly caught on and turned around, giving you all her attention.
“You’re bleeding—how long have you been hiding this?!”
You sadly smile at Rebekah, feeling weaker and weaker as you stand. You tried to open your mouth and the rest of her siblings could only watch in shock at your fate. You reach out to her as you go limp, your legs failing you at that moment. She swiftly catches you in her arms and holds you as close as possible.
She swiftly runs to the couch as Elijah and Hayley move every little piece of junk off of it. She gently laid you down on the cushion surface and yelled for someone to go get an aid kit. Her hands were softly stroking your hair as she tried to keep you awake.
Elijah finally ran over with an aid kit and tried his best to clean the blood but it seemed as if everything was running out of time. You turned towards Rebekah and gripped her hand tightly.
“I love you.”
Rebekah leaned in and placed soft kisses upon your lips and cheeks. She squeezed your hand a bit harder.
“This isn’t goodbye.”
She continued to give you little kisses and tears ran down her cheeks. She wanted so badly to save you but she knew that you didn’t want to be immortal. She respected your wishes more than hers.
“Say it, baby. I don’t have much time.” Elijah and Hayley were trying their hardest to locate the lodged debris in your lungs but nothing seemed to be working. Rebekah screamed at them to try harder but you shushed her, making her turn your attention towards you.
Tears slipped down her cheeks as she continued to hold you, your breath becoming more shallow. She kept shaking her head every time you asked her to say those three words. She didn’t want to lose you, she couldn’t.
“I need you to live…because if you’re gone then, I don’t know what the point of it all is anymore.”
A smile graces your lips as you try to pull something out of your pocket but the pain is too much. She reaches over for you and takes it out, gasping at the little velvet box. She puts the promise ring on her finger and presses a sweet kiss to your lips.
Tears well in her eyes again at the thought of losing you like this. She thinks hard about the decision she’s about to make and the consequences, but she can’t lose you.
“I love you, y/n. I’m sorry.”
You open your mouth in confusion and watch as she sinks her sharp teeth into her wrist. Blood seeps out and she presses it onto your lips. You try and not let the copper-tasting liquid in but she forces more into your mouth.
Your eyes flutter close, and you let yourself drink the thick liquid. You could already feel it working, and your wound seemed to heal by the second. She lets her wrist off of your mouth and watches as you already start to look much better.
After a couple of minutes of letting the blood heal, you pick yourself up, and push her into a bone-crushing hug.
“Glad you already feel better, human.”
You couldn’t even react before Klaus vampire sped over to your now healed form. Rebekah tried to run over to you but Klaus was too fast. He gripped your neck with his large hands and twisted your neck —breaking it in two.
All you could hear was the cracking sound that your bones made, and the screams that filled your room. Your vision turned black, and you hit the ground with a thud, letting the darkness take over.
“Now you can be together forever, sister.”

It was quiet when Y/N entered the building. The house was huge and old, wooden walls cracking every so often under the pressure of the wind. The night felt cold but single drops of sweat rolled down her neck. She adjusted the machete in her hand and scanned the large area of the first floor, flinching when something crunched under her boots. She looked down and noticed little crystals of broken glass glistening in the moonlight that creeped through the dirty window. The more she looked around, the more she acknowledged the details of the fight that had taken place right where she was standing. Damaged commode, planks strewn around, broken handrail and shattered glass.
Trying to find any clues, Y/N carefully eyed every inch of the room and frowned, spotting something next to the dusted armchair. Crouching down she touched it and with a small sigh discovered it was a red liquid.
Blood.
Rubbing her middle and index finger with her thumb, she noticed the blood was fresh; the person it belonged to was here a couple of hours ago. Hoping the victim was still alive, Y/N stood up, brushing lonely strands of her hair away from her face. The place seemed to be empty, silence pinching her ears; the vampire's nest was never that calm before. This made her stomach twist; something was wrong. It was like she made a mistake with the location, like no one was here but she was sure it’s the right place, it had to be. Suddenly a smell hit her and made her instinctively reach for the gun. Sulfur.
Nonsense. She was following vamps for weeks now. Was it possible that somehow she stepped on demons? Why here, why now?
She knew she should check the basement first but the blood tracks were leading upstairs. Old, dirty carpet covering the stairs was nearly soaked in it. The uneasy thought of finding a dead body crossed her mind and she swallowed thickly. Taking careful, quiet steps Y/N looked up to be ready in case something wanted to take her by surprise. She didn’t even make it to the first floor when she heard screams, muffled by the house. She rolled her eyes and cursed herself.
Basement, you idiot. It's always the basement.
Still quiet but faster now she came back downstairs, crossing the living room and after praying it won’t crack loud, she opened the door that led underground.
Angry voices reached her ears when she got to the concrete floor. Slowing down she tightened her grip on her weapon’s helve and moved forward, alert and tense.
“Where is it?!” The question was followed by the sound of a beating.
Weak laugh was barely audible but it tickled her in a weird way she couldn’t exactly name; like she heard it before.
“You think I’m gonna tell you?”
This voice. She stopped in her tracks, hidden behind the pillar holding the ceiling; listening, not believing what she had heard. Another punch, then the sound of spitting, probably with blood.
“You can beat the shit out of me but you’ll get nothing.” Her heart skipped a beat when she finally realised who this voice belonged to.
Dean.
Peeping from behind the pillar for a quick second, she noticed three, maybe four figures standing with their backs to her and a chair, bathed in a dim light of the bulb hanging above Dean’s head who was tied down.
Laying her head back, Y/N closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. She had to be quick and effective; no second chances, no mistakes. Planning her moves she felt shivers running down her spine. Her hands fisted in irritation as she cursed the man she was about to save; no matter how much time had passed, when it was about saving his ass, she was always more concerned.
The moment she was all ready to jump and slice, ignoring the question of why fangs were keeping Dean, something in the dark corner caught her attention and stopped her. Narrowing her eyes Y/N focused on the pile laying on the ground. It took her few seconds but finally she saw it; bodies covered in blood, heads cut off, with open eyes and mouths that showed rows of sharp teeth.
Vampires.
Y/N’s breath quickened. If this bunch of dead bodies was what she was looking for then who the hell was beating Dean? Her mind wandered to the scent of sulfur she smelled before. It didn’t make any sense but there was no other option - they were demons. Putting away the machete, Y/N took out her gun. She had to figure something out. Hunting demons wasn't exactly in her schedule for tonight, all needed tools were in the car; suddenly she felt weirdly naked.
Before she could make any move, she heard steps coming from the stairs. She felt on edge, surrounded, surprised and put in a position where she had a harmed man to save. She was in trouble.
Light panic creeped into her as she searched for solution; eyes flicking around, landing finally on a little platform she could easily fit onto. Smirking at the idea, she changed the pistol for the crossbow on her back and took out the bottle with holy water she always carried with her. Y/N disappeared into the shadows before the approaching demons could see her.
Tumblr media
Dean received yet another hit, straight in his jawline that was already swollen and pulsing. Spitting again he smiled; his teeth bloody, just like the rest of his face. Cut brow and lips, bruises already appearing, red streams coloring his freckled flesh. He could feel himself getting weaker; his head dizzy, muscles burning and his throat sore. Ropes on his wrists were so tight he was sure to find grey-blue marks later; if he ever gets out.
The demons surprised him, he was expecting bloodsuckers not those dusty assholes.
Apparently hell douches had some issues with twilight so they teared them into pieces; taking Dean’s job from under his nose. And now they thought he had some information but he knew shit - another aspect that annoyed him. He had no idea what was going on and what they wanted. But he acted like he did, hoping they would accidentally spill some tea.
“Where is it?!” The demon hissed again, squeezing Dean’s face, forcing him to look up. One of his fingers digged into the cut on the cheek, causing more blood to pour.
“Bite me.” Dean hissed back, giving the torturer a hard, confident look and an arrogant smile.
The man lifted his fist, ready to hit the hunter again and just then something cut through the air with a whiz. The demon yelled as white smoke started floating from where the arrow got stuck in his body, burning him. It took Dean aback; he frowned confused, watching the douchebag stumbling around as another arrow flashed in front of his eyes, wounding the next demon. One by one they all were getting shot; screaming and grunting they seemed to be so vulnerable now. Then, with the corner of his eye, Dean spotted someone jumping down from a platform. Maybe this was someone willing to help him.
It was too dark and Dean was too tired to focus on who it was but he knew they were a hunter for sure. The stranger moved fast, ably slicing the distracted demons. Using the machete the hunter cut their flesh; more smoke, more pain. Dean couldn’t tear his eyes away from the limber moves, from the facility that the weapon was used with. Even though he was mesmerised, the person's behavior seemed to be oddly familiar; his brain registered something that it had seen before, more than once.
After a few final flips of the wrist, the demons had enough; their heads tilted back, mouths opened and a black smoke flew out of them, disappearing in the darkness. The room got silent; the only sound was heavy breathing - female heavy breathing as Dean tried his hardest to pinpoint who it was.
She was standing with her back to Dean, scanning the room, still alert and high on adrenaline from the fight. She felt her muscles rippling, hands twitching, her hammering heart pumped blood that was rushing in her veins, raising her temperature as she observed bodies laying on the floor. Wetting arrows and her blade with holy water was a quick, unsure idea but it worked; she just wished she could save those people.
A few deep breaths helped her to calm down. She tugged the weapon behind the belt and turned to the Winchester, revealing who she was. Dean’s eyes widened as he discovered the stranger's identity and his heart made a tiny jump.
Memories hit him immediately, pelting him with the amazing time he had three years ago. It wasn't something Dean admitted out loud but he admired the badass girl from the second he laid his eyes on her. They clicked on the fight field, understanding each other without a word, they spent a couple of irreplaceable nights in bars and motels, exchanging thoughts, dreams and experiences. Dean didn’t find in her just a buddy he never knew he needed but also someone he could open his soul to without worrying about anything. Seeing her now felt like he was thrown to the past by angels; the only difference was that now, he enjoyed the circumstances.
“Y/N,” he said slightly surprised, his hoarse voice making her lips curl in a smirk. "What are you doing here?"
"Long story. Let's say I'm having a trip around the neighbourhood," she answered and took a closer look at him.
His face was damaged; cut, painted with blood and bruises, swollen in a few places. His right arm was wounded, crimson stains covering his ripped shirt. He was sweaty and breathing heavily; livid skin under his tired eyes. It's been a long time since she saw him looking like he got hit by a truck.
"You look like hell. How did you get in such a mess?" she asked as she pulled out a knife.
"Long story. Let's say I tripped." He mirrored her words, making her chuckle and grunted when she cut off ropes on his wrists.
After hours in the same position Dean got numb so with every move a small, pained moan escaped him. Y/N helped him to get up on his legs which shook a little under him. Offering her shoulder he partly leaned on, she grabbed his waist and headed to the exit. Hearing Dean chuckle, she looked up and as she saw those soft dimples, her mouth curled upwards.
"What's so funny, Winchester?" she asked as they passed by the collection of dead vamps.
"You saved my ass again. It's humiliating." She laughed out loud, satisfaction filling her up.
"Then we both deserve a drink."
Tumblr media
The gas station near the motel was their source of food and alcohol that night. Y/N bought two large hot dogs and four beers, thereupon went back to the room where she left Dean.
Opening the door she saw him sitting on the edge of the bed; showered and clothed in a fresh v-neck and sweatpants. Cuts still red and open but his face was clean and focused as Dean was trying to stitch his wounded arm. Y/N could see he was frustrated because of his still slightly trembling hands.
She put down the bag and approached him, taking his hands in hers.
"Hey, let me do it," she offered, sitting down next to him.
He gave up with an irritated huff and turned his eyes away, embarrassed by his current clumsiness. She looked at him for a second and then focused on the needle in her hand.
The silence fell between them; both lost in their thoughts, suddenly a little bit uncomfortable with each other. Y/N felt her tummy tightening and she swallowed, doing her best to not let her eyes wander, but it was in vain.
This man looked like he was straight from the cover of a magazine. From his strong arms that could easily crush her, through to his tanned skin with a constellation of adorable freckles she swore to count one day. To his calloused hands with long, thick fingers that could so deliciously travel across her body. His firm stomach hidden under the thin material of the t-shirt; the same stomach she had stitched in the past, the stomach she secretly wanted to scratch and kiss.
"Ouch," Dean's sudden hiss brutally detached Y/N from her thoughts and she understood she lost control over her hand, stinging his healthy skin.
"Sorry," she answered quickly.
Y/N knew things were going to be this way when her eyes met his green ones back in the basement. She knew that meeting him again would make her weak and she was right, nothing had changed. He still had the same influence on that he’s always had.
The huntress wasn't exactly a person who fell so easily; who would get wet without any sexual contact. Her heart wasn't such a sucker for feelings, her head wasn't so easily distracted. Yet with Dean it was different, and it was annoying because she didn’t have control over her own self.
Shaking her head, she finished the job and rolled down his sleeve as Dean cleared his throat.
"Thanks," he muttered and she shrugged with a small smile.
"Not a big deal, it's just stitching." She wanted to stand up but Dean stopped her by grabbing her hand.
Y/N skin was so soft under his fingertips, almost like silk. He knew it had a lot of scars and marks but that just made it more beautiful. Every little imperfection of hers was perfect for him; reminding him of the angel she was, fighting to save lives. Dean was always amazed by how she was a badass hunter and warrior but everytime she wasn’t cutting heads, she seemed so small, so tiny when he held her. His body and heart instinctively needed to protect her from the evil with everything he had.
His unsure, emerald eyes made Y/N frown, making Dean realise he froze with his fingers around her wrist, staring at her.
"Thank you for saving me," he said quietly and watched as her lips widened in a smile.
For a mere second he thought about how they could feel against him; warm and soft, moving in sync with his, followed by the sweet taste of her tongue. Blinking he pushed away those thoughts, glad she couldn’t read his mind. Familiar fear of her finding out flitted through him, stimulating his nerves. It was pathetic; a grown ass man was scared to say what he felt but in his case it wasn’t anything new.
"Always a pleasure to save a Winchester's ass," she said slightly amused and he rolled his eyes with a smile; this attitude. "Hungry?" she asked standing up but she already knew the answer.
"Starving." Pushing himself forward onto the bed, Dean leaned onto the headboard, stretching out his legs.
Taking a place next to him, she pulled out the food and drinks from her bag, receiving a pleasured "oh yes" from the hunter beside her.
They ate as they talked about what had happened in the last few years when they hadn't seen each other, recalling some events from the past and trying to understand what exactly had happened that day. With time and alcohol, the atmosphere loosened and they fully started to enjoy their mutual presence. Their laughs echoed in the room just like old times and for a moment it felt like they never separated.
By the time the birds started to sing outside, Y/N found herself in the same sitting position as Dean's, their arms brushing and legs briefly touching. She laughed as he talked about Sammy's drinking actions; she missed this giant, suddenly feeling the need to hug him.
"Um, listen…" he started and cleared his throat.
"Hmm?" Encouraging him, she took a sip from almost an empty bottle.
"It's actually good to see you," Dean mumbled as he rubbed his thumb on the glass he was holding. "I've missed you." She looked at him, her brows scrunching.
"Awww, Dean," she whined. "You gonna make me sob." The moment his eyes lifted up, she chuckled, trying to hide her smile in drinking.
"Shut up," he shot back with a grin. "I'm trying to be nice here." Shrugging he tilted the bottle and Y/N allowed herself to watch how his throat moved when he swallowed. Licking her lips she touched his hand, drawing his attention.
"I missed you too," she simply said and their eyes met.
But this time was different.
Maybe it was her slightly drunk mind, maybe it was the tiredness after a few days with not much sleep or maybe it was the usual dizziness she felt when she was with him. She didn’t know, but something stopped the time, erased everything around it and left only Dean.
He was so close she could see gold motes in the green ocean of his eyes; crystals shining so bright that every other stone was becoming a common rock in comparison. The eyes that could hypnotize you in a second and save you from darkness the next.
His unique smell surrounded her, warm vibrations radiating from his whole body and Y/N wasn't able to stop her mind when it created scenes she wished were real. Losing control over her imagination, his intense gaze turning off her rational thinking, she let her eyes drop to his lips and that was her mistake. Every time she yearned for him, dreaming about being his in every possible way, was nothing compared to what she felt now.
She was scared and confused because first, she thought she had gotten over this stupid love years ago and second, she didn't know why all those feelings were so strong now. She was always weak for him but not that weak.
Dean noticed when she swallowed, his own mouth watering. Allowing his emotions to take control of him wasn't exactly his style; especially not with her. But he felt his fingers itching and lips twitching when his mind focused on her. The soft features of her face, delicate, olive skin he would so gladly caress. Her pink lips, shaped like they were made for kissing; at least that's what he thought. The vision of her touching him the way those cheap one night stands did so many times, her warm body wrapping around him, slender palms mapping his every inch. It left him woozy, drunk on her.
The air was thick, their breathing quickened, pulse throbbing under the skin as their heartbeats thumped in their chests, little hairs standing up as goosebumps overlaid their bodies.
But even though it was strongly sexual, the heat so high it could burn the Earth, the thing hanging between them wasn't just physical attraction. Their hearts played the main role in the performance neither Dean nor Y/N thought of taking part in.
Years of admiration, of looking up to each other, of watching how the other person was just a good human being and then the break which made them realise how strong a connection they had; it made them fall for each other. But both of them were too scared to make a move, too blind to see the other wanted the exact same thing. So as soon as both their minds grew with the thought of leaning forward, they lowered their heads. Dean nervously scratched the back of his neck, feeling blush creeping up his skin as Y/N decided to sooth her trembling insides with the rest of beer.
Exchanging awkward smiles they unconsciously allowed their fears to win yet another battle. Knowing so well they wanted to taste the love but being too afraid of its power. To say their relations were complicated was an insult.

“So what do you think happened there? What did those demons want?” Y/N asked the next evening as they packed.
“No idea,” Dean answered, closing his bag. “But I’m about to find out. Sam is already digging, trying to find anything and I’m going back there tonight.” She turned around to look at him, frowning.
“What for?”
“They smashed up the place before I got there,” he lifted the bag and headed to the door, “maybe they missed something.”
“You think the fangs had whatever they were looking for?” Crossing her arms Y/N leaned back on the table. Dean shrugged, opening the door. “Okay, let’s go.”
“Woah, woah,” he stretched his hand forward, stopping her, “you’re not going anywhere, sweetheart.” She looked at him with lifted brows and upon noticing he was not joking she huffed a short laugh.
“What?” the question was filled with amusement that rose up in her. He must be kidding.
“You’re staying here or going to Sam if you wanna help,” he stated and walked out to the Impala that was parked in front of the motel room. She looked at the empty space he stood in seconds ago, confused, with her arms open in a silent question.
“Wh- Dean!” she yelled and followed his tracks. “Are you kidding me? I’m not gonna stay behind!”
“Yes, you are.” He closed the truck of the black, muscle car. “This case stinks from miles, Y/N, it’s too dangerous.”
“Too dangerous?!” her voice raised up; her temper was short and telling her what to do was igniting the fire, especially considering he was assuming she couldn’t handle the situation. “Let me remind you I was the one who saved your ass yesterday! And it wasn’t the first time!” She watched as he walked around the Baby, avoiding her gaze.
“That’s not the point, Y/N. You’re not going,” he repeated firmly, turning his back to her which got on her nerves even more.
“You’re not gonna tell me what to do!” she leaned forward, pointing to the ground like it was putting the dot on her statement.
“Yes I will!” Dean hollered, turning to her before taking a few strong steps which made her straighten. She was taken aback by his sudden anger and eyes snapping towards her. “I will because I care about you.” His stare was so intense she felt her knees giving up as he slowly approached her. “And if you go there, and something happens, I’m never gonna forgive myself…” he made a pause and took a few deep breaths. “If I lose you,” he grabbed her arms tightly and lowered himself so he could level with her eyes. “I’m gonna lose my freaking mind.”
Y/N’s heart was banging in her chest as she searched his face, noticing how Dean’s eyes were glistening in the dim motel’s lights, shimmering with emotions. Sweat broke across her flesh as his words reached her mind.
What the hell does that mean?
“Dean, what-” she began but Dean immediately cut her off, shaking his head, tired with this game they had been playing for so long.
“Shut up.”
He firmly pulled her to him and crushed his mouth to hers. She froze, surprised and tensed. But as her brain processed what was happening and his lips slightly moved, she melted. Kissing him back, she gave him access and feeling his hot tongue, she lifted her hands to his hair. Fisting it, she arched to him and he enclosed her in his strong arms, sneaking them around her and on her back. His lips were even better than she imagined and despite the intensity he was kissing her with, she could feel how soft they were. Her mind was galloping, her heart beating so loud she was sure it’s gonna jump out or explode. Feeling Dean’s arms squeezing her, for the first time in so long she felt safe and she wanted to stay there for the rest of  eternity.
She gave into him, leaning in, she kissed back. Dean’s mind was a mess; not only with the nerves and fear but the fact she didn’t push him away. Instead she clung to him, pulled him even closer - his heart went crazy. The relief filled him as she pushed herself flush to him, standing on her tiptoes, deepening the kiss, even moaning quietly. The taste of her lips and tongue hazed his brain, it was like a drug. But he wouldn’t let himself lose it completely; he needed to stay sober to drag her away from the idea of going with him. Breaking the kiss was harder than he expected, but he managed. Still holding her close, both of them panting, he rested his forehead against hers.
Finally she looked up, wanting to see his eyes but he kept them closed. Shivers were running over her body, she was high on the feelings that bursted between them. Dean’s cheeks moved as he gritted his teeth, deciding to spill everything while he still had courage.
“For three years I was thinking about you,” he said, his voice low. “You were crossing my mind every night and day but I couldn’t bring myself to call you. I knew you didn’t want to be here, that you needed your own life, that you didn’t want me. But that didn’t stop my feelings for you. Then when I saw you yesterday, they slapped me full force in the face. Now, when I have you back here, I can’t lose you. Leaving is one thing but getting killed is another.”
Y/N felt him trembling, his breathing ragged and voice shaking but words steaming with honesty. Being aware of how nervous he could be, she dropped her palm from the back of his head onto his cheek. Rubbing her thumb over his cheekbone, she searched for words she needed to say.
“I’ve always wanted you, Dean,” she spoke, causing his eyes to snap open and pierce into hers. Green orbs twinkling with sparkles of happiness and disbelief. “You were always the most important, even when I wasn’t here. You were constantly in my head but I thought I was just a friend.” He chuckled. “You’re more than a friend, sweetheart.” He pulled back and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. “And that’s why you can’t go with me. Promise me you won’t go,” he pleaded, his eyes begging and worried.
“Dean, I could help,” she whispered but he shook his head.
“Promise me, Y/N.” She looked to the sky, taking a breath. She understood but her position was the same.
“I can’t,” whispering she let her hands fall off of him but Dean was still holding her. After a few moments he sighed, let her go and rubbing his face in exhaustion he looked at her, helpless.
“Okay, fine,” he gave up and a smile appeared on her face. “Go get your stuff.”
Instead of going straight away to get her bag, she leaned up and kissed him, slowly and softly. He melted into her, his brows jumping up on an unexpected action. She was so sweet; sweeter than any pie he ever had in his life. Pulling away she stayed close, watching him blinking the bliss away.
“Is it gonna look like that from now on? You will agree on anything I’ll say? Are you that weak for me?” she whispered into his lips and he chuckled low.
“Probably,” Dean answered as he caressed her forearms and briefly entwined their fingers. She pulled away fiercely, the idea shining in her widened eyes.
“Are you gonna let me drive her?” she asked excitedly but he burst into a laugh.
“Na-ah, sweetheart. That’s not gonna happen,” he answered with a warm smile and pulled her into one more kiss.

Can I request a some hurt/comfort? How would our guys react to MC being in a coma and waking up from it? Take care of yourself!
We are always reminded of MC’s unnecessary courage, especially towards the later chapters. Every time she gets into trouble, the boys are there to save her.
But from Chapter 10+, we see that they won’t come to our rescue every time.
And that made me really sad (I JUST WANT HAPPY ENDINGS Y'ALL)
So I’m using this opportunity to write alternate endings for some of the darkest stories for each of the boys (and I had to use my imagination for these, so they may be a little lacking)
This took me a LOT LONGER than I expected, so that’s why my headcanons weren’t updating lately
Warning: There are spoilers for the main story (Ch 11-15)
MLQC Headcanon - As long as you’re here
Victor (Spoilers for Ch 11)
He’s been through this once already as kids
He’s never been prepared for another one
He always thought...since he’s here with you now.....he would be able to protect you
He believed he had changed
That he was no longer the weak boy from years ago
This is why he’s taking it so hard on himself
You were the only thing on his mind (even work was irrelevant)
He’s looking at you sleeping so soundly in the hospital bed
It’s as if you would wake at any moment
But he knows.....it’s not good to raise hopes
How long has it been.....8 days?
He glances around the hospital room (a daily routine he does)
Just to make sure everything is in pristine condition
But he doesn’t realize that he himself was in shambles
He prepared the best amenities for your hospitalization
The nurses kept talking about him, the CEO of LFG
Some attempted to get noticed by him (which did succeed to a certain extent)
They paid more attention to him than to you
“Are you going to keep doing your job halfheartedly?”
“P....pardon?”
“I have no need for unprofessional workers who can’t focus in front of their patients. Please leave” (The hospital’s Chief had to bow his head in apology)
Of course, Victor didn’t care about such trivial matters
All he was concerned about was your health
He had been watching over you nearly 24/7
He regularly calls Goldman to bring over his work to the hospital (he says he can’t go himself because then he’ll have to leave you)
For once, Goldman doesn’t care that he’s not paid enough
--------------------
You wake up to blinding lights, forcing your eyes to stay closed
After getting adjusted, you look around
Am I....in a hospital? (your eyes fall on the IV drip above you)
You turn your head (a short pain rings in your back), finding Victor laying his head on the bed
His hands are tightly grasping yours, knuckles shaky and pale
You raise your other hand to smooth his hair (it’s a little oily?)
He slowly opens his eyes, realizes the hand on his head, and quickly shoots up
His mouth is open, but he’s not saying anything
You laugh a little at this new Victor (you wish you could’ve taken a picture)
“Haha...good morning, Victor”
It’s only until you show him your usual smile that he regains himself
“......dummy....”
He bends down to pick up some papers that had toppled over
You don’t notice that he wipes a tear that was falling on his face
Kiro (Spoilers for Ch 14)
He didn’t want to have to do this
But it was the only way to save you (to keep you safe)
He hadn’t planned on using absolute control on you
After all, he knew you wouldn’t want to leave him by himself on that rooftop
But he had no choice
He would much rather sacrifice himself if it meant protecting you
And there was no telling what he would do if you got hurt
He dare not meet your eyes when he made you walk by him
There would’ve been a resisting force, making him want to hug you right away
It took him everything he had to not cancel his evol at that moment
As soon as he heard the door lock with a click, he turned to focus on his enemy
There wasn’t much to the fight anyways (his evol was overpowering)
But he couldn’t help but worry about you on the other side of that door
He figured you would be crying your eyes out, but there was nothing he could do
You, on the other hand, were trying your hardest to break Kiro’s control
But to no avail
All you could do was pound on the door, until your hands started to bleed
This went on for who knows how long
At this point, you were slumped over on the ground (your poundings have gotten much weaker)
You balled up your hands into fists, your last attempts to stay focused
Your nails dig into your palms, but it doesn’t faze you one bit (although it does quite hurt)
Was it fatigue, or was it exasperation.....but you started to lose your sight until everything was pitch black
Meanwhile, the noises outside come to a halt
Kiro hobbles over to the door (he wasn’t injured, just overwhelmed with fatigue)
He’s surprised to find you lying on the floor, unconscious
As much as he wants to take you to your home, he knows he doesn’t have the right to do that (not after what he just did to you)
But....it’s even more dangerous to leave you here
--------------------
He treats your hands with the first aid kit in your apartment
You slowly wake up to see Kiro struggling with the bandages (he was never great at things like these)
With your other hand, you reach up to cup his face
He’s startled (he wasn’t expecting you to wake up this quickly)
“Kiro.....”
He doesn’t say anything, but just looks at you with a pained expression on his face
He gets up to leave, but you grab onto his shirt
“No...please.....don’t leave....”
He turns around, bites his lower lip, and gently tugs your hand off from him
“......I’m sorry....I command you....”
“Kiro.......!”
“.....go to sleep”
You don’t remember anything after this point, not even the fact that he tucked you in
Or the fact that he stayed a little longer by your side (to burn you into his memories before leaving)
“.....sweet dreams, MC”
Lucien (Spoilers for Ch 13)
He knew you were brave
But he also knew you were careless
You hadn’t realized how deep your punctured wound went, and quickly lost consciousness
He wanted to rush towards you, to catch you in his arms
He wanted to apologize that he’s made you go this far
But he just stood there, looking at your fragile figure with indifference
He slowly walked over, and got on one knee to inspect your condition
He had to pry Iridescent out of your hands (for fear that you would try to stab yourself again)
All the while, he remained calm
As if what he just saw affected him no less than a falling leaf
But of course, the truth was much different
If he showed the slightest bit of emotion, the men would take you away from him
He was already being suspected of a traitor by them (it’s more advantageous to be seen as your enemy......for your sake)
“She’s fainted (he pushes some hair out of your eyes). I’ll take care of things from here”
“Ares, you can’t—!”
“We need her alive, wouldn’t we?” (the other agents can feel the hostility in his voice)
After he receives silent confirmation, he picks you up in his arms and takes you to his apartment
He rests you on the bed, and prepares everything to treat you
He effectively manages to stop the bleeding, but he’s unable to close the wound
It’s going to scar.....
As he looks at you, his heart becomes foggy
He has so many things to say.....so many things to explain
If only you realized his true feelings
But he knew it would only bring you harm if you got close to him
After all, HE was the one deceiving you this entire time
And that’s all you needed to believe
--------------------
When you open your eyes, you realize you’re back in your house (it’s dark except for some light from outside)
As you try to stand up, you flinch as your neck stings in pain
It’s bandaged.......Lucien!
You quickly look around the room, grabbing on to the slightest hope that he would be here
Your shoulders slink back as you laugh to yourself (at your own foolishness)
He lied to me.......he......
You cover your face with the pillow, trying to take everything in
You reach out to the bedside table for your phone, dropping something in the process
As you go to pick it up, your heart feels like it’s about to explode
Iridescent is lying on the floor, the tip no longer covered with your blood
As if it’s unaware of your muffled cries, it shines brightly in the moonlight peering through your windows
Gavin (Spoilers for Ch 15)
The wind had been blowing for hours on end, keeping his tears from falling down his face
There wasn’t much he could’ve done to prevent this
To prevent you from taking a bullet to your shoulder
No, he thought
I was right there next to her.....
There were so many things he could have done
That he SHOULD HAVE done
He looks down at you, writhing in pain, clutching at your shoulder
He knows how bullet wounds feel like (all the more reason why he’s so hard on himself)
Luckily, the two of you managed to escape STF during that chase
That doesn’t mean he was unscathed, as well
When heard you scream, he lost control of his evol
It did throw the STF agents off-course (but it also pushed you along the edge of a cliff)
He quickly grabs hold of you, twisting his body so he breaks the fall
The currents help soften the landing, but the rocks and branches leave scars on his body (he’s just relieved that you’re alive)
He brought you inside an abandoned warehouse, a beat-up Sparky guarding the front door
Lots of thoughts run through his brain while he’s treating your wound (now he knows who his true enemies are)
He skillfully manages to reduce the bleeding (but it doesn’t stop completely)
Meanwhile, your breathing becomes heavy and your heartbeat spikes up
He quickly takes off his shirt to dab the sweat off of your forehead (it’s not the cleanest, but it’s better than nothing)
He looks around for a water source
No luck (but he does find some wood for the fireplace)
--------------------
He quickly returns to the warehouse, nervous about leaving you alone
“..Gavin....”
The firewood in his hands clatter as they fall to the ground (without a moment’s hesitation, he’s by your side)
“MC....?” (the tears he had been holding back are now falling, each drop hitting your hand that he’s desperately clutching)
You find it hard to speak, only capable of muttering sounds
There’s so many things you want to say...that you NEED to say
But the sounds of agonized crying fills your ears (you’ve never heard him cry before, let alone this loud)
Little did you know that these tears were not of pain, but of relief
He’s holding onto you so tight, as if he’s trying to make sure you don’t leave him
The sun slowly rises once again, a gentle breeze blowing over the fallen leaves in the silent environment
Welp this was more hurt than comfort
This is not what I had initially planned.

“i can’t lose you too”
prompt: “i can’t lose you too” (alt no.2)
whumpee: eddie diaz
fandom: 911
hi here is Another eddie fic. its set at some point after shannons death and the lawsuit but idk when. use ur imagination i guess :)
Buck’s running back into the burning building before Eddie can even reach out and touch him, stop him. One second he’s next to Eddie and Bobby, surveying the flames, and the next there’s the sound of a scream from inside the house, and Buck’s taking off.
Without even thinking, Eddie moves to follow him, but he’s stopped by Bobby’s firm hand on his shoulder. He knows he could shrug him off, chase after Buck, but there’s something in the way Bobby’s grabbing him that stops him from moving.
He watches, stock-still, as Buck reenters the building, which moments ago the team had vacated due to its being too unstable. And Eddie knows, knows, he’d do the same thing Buck is doing now, hell, he would be doing it, were it not for Bobby holding him back with that firm grip that screams something is wrong.
“You are not following him,” Bobby says, at the same time that he pushes the button on his radio.
“Buck, get out of there, now,” he instructs, and his voice is forceful but there’s a note of fear underlying it that makes Eddie’s blood run cold. Bobby’s hand clamps down harder on his shoulder, almost painful now.
“Don’t,” he instructs, leaving no room for argument.
Buck’s voice comes back through the radio, slightly garbled. “Almost got her,” Eddie manages to make out. He breathes a sigh of relief, feels Bobby’s hand relax slightly from his shoulder. Maybe there hadn’t been anything to worry about, maybe he should run in after Buck now, maybe...
The roof of the house caves in with a deafening crash that leaves an eerie silence in its wake. No one speaks, no one moves, for one single second, and then everyone is moving into action, and all Eddie can think is not him too. Buck can’t be dead.
He tries his own radio, calling out to Buck, but gets no reply. All around him other firefighters are moving, and even Bobby’s in action, leaving Eddie to do whatsoever he pleases, but Eddie doesn’t do anything. He feels frozen. He feels helpless. He can’t lose Buck.
He can’t move. He stares at the ground and tries to not think about Buck trapped or hurt or dead. He tries not to think about Shannon, about her blood on the concrete and the way it had felt to know that someone he loved was dying.
It is happening again. He still can’t move.
And then, there’s a shout, and he forces his eyes up. For a second, he doesn’t believe what he’s seeing. But there he is - Buck, stumbling out of the ruins of the building, an unconscious woman thrown over his shoulder, alive.
Eddie watches like he is outside of everything as Buck carries the woman to Hen and Chim, who are prepped with a gurney. He watches Buck remove his helmet, looking sweaty and sooty but otherwise completely fine.
He sees Bobby approach Buck, sees the two hug, sees Bobby smack Buck lightly on the back of the head. He sees Hen and Chim climb into the ambulance with the woman, sees Bobby gesture at it and Buck shake his head.
He still feels like he can’t move.
And then he sees Buck look around, meets his eyes through the visor of his own still-on helmet, and feels his eyes fill unwittingly with tears. He tears his gaze away, forces his feet to finally move, but away from Buck, until he’s hidden in the shadow of the truck.
A moment later, Buck approaches him, and he really does look so alright that Eddie damn near collapses in relief.
Buck follows Eddie behind the truck, curiosity overtaking the adrenaline that’s slowly stopping its relentless course through his veins. His mind is going a mile a minute, wondering why Eddie’s apparently hiding from him, rather than maybe congratulating him on his epic rescue or berating him for not waiting for Eddie to come along, or something, anyway.
He steps into the shadow of the truck, sees Eddie’s head raise to look at him, sees him stumble backwards until he collides with the side of the truck.
“Whoa, you good?” Buck asks, hurrying to his best friend’s side. He tries to reach out and place a steadying hand on Eddie’s shoulder, but Eddie pulls away.
“Hey,” Buck says, his voice now all seriousness. “Eddie. What’s wrong?”
Eddie isn’t looking at him. His face is turned away towards the ground, and his helmet is still on his head, like he’s just forgotten to take it off, which isn’t like him. Something’s wrong.
“Eddie,” Buck repeats, stepping closer. “Eddie.”
Very carefully, he reaches up and removes Eddie’s helmet, looking for the first time at his face.
It’s hard, lips drawn thin and eyes steely like he’s angry, or concentrating really hard on something that he doesn’t want to be concentrating so hard on. “Eddie,” he says again, for what feels like the millionth time. “What’s wrong?”
And then Eddie’s face isn’t all hard and drawn. It’s scrunched up and has the look of someone trying - and failing - to keep themself controlled. And he’s crying. It takes Buck a second to process that, and as soon as he does, he feels worry rush through him. Eddie doesn’t cry.
He’s already standing pretty close to Eddie, but he steps closer still, until their bodies are nearly touching.
“Please, Eddie,” he says. “Tell me what's wrong.”
Eddie breathes in a shuddery inhale, sniffles, and wipes a hand under his eyes that doesn’t do much of anything as his tears continue to fall. Part of Buck wants to reach out and brush them away, to touch Eddie, to let him know he’s not alone in whatever this is.
Not that he’d do that now, bring this whole new thing into their relationship when it’s clear there’s something that’s not right.
“I-” Eddie starts, then stops, breath heaving.
“It’s okay,” Buck says, as comfortingly as he can. “Nice and slow, yeah?”
Eddie nods, and then speaks, his voice as soft and as scared as Buck has ever heard it.
“You went back in there. You went back and I couldn’t follow you and then the roof collapsed and then you were just...you were just gone. And I couldn’t move and I thought you must be dead and I can’t - you can’t die, Buck, I can’t lose you too.”
Eddie leans his head back against the truck when he’s finished speaking, and this time Buck doesn’t stop himself. He puts a hand out, touches it to Eddie’s cheek, presses their foreheads together, and for a second just breathes, hoping like hell Eddie won’t shove him off.
He doesn’t, so Buck takes that as his cue to speak. “You’re not losing me, Eddie,” he says, and he wants it to be a promise, but it’s one he knows he can’t make.
“You don’t know that,” Eddie whispers. “You don’t…”
“I know I can’t make any promises,” Buck agrees, voice equally soft. “But that doesn’t mean I can’t try my hardest to stay with you.”
For a second after that, neither of them speaks. Buck listens to Eddie’s breathing, hearing it slowly even out. Their foreheads are still pressed together, and Buck’s hand is still on Eddie’s cheek, and he can feel that they’re on the edge of something.
He pulls back just a bit, looking at Eddie. He’s sweaty and tearstained and there’s this look on his face that Buck thinks he would do anything to banish forever, but despite all of that Eddie looks beautiful. He looks like something that Buck, too, can’t lose.
So he says it, pushes himself off that edge. “Listen, Eddie. We both know I can’t make any promises. I can’t swear that I’ll stay by your side forever. You can’t swear you’ll stay by mine. But that doesn’t make us any less real. It doesn’t make us weaker. I think...I think maybe it makes us stronger, you know? Knowing what we could lose, fighting to never lose it. I am not letting you lose me that easily. I’m not letting Chris lose me that easily. I’m not leaving you if I can help it.”
He takes a breath, meets Eddie’s eyes, wonders if he needs to say it.
“I love you,” Eddie says, and he looks down, away from Buck, like he’s not sure Buck’s gonna say it back.
Buck gently grabs Eddie’s chin, guiding his head up so they’re looking at each other again. He looks into Eddie’s eyes and smiles, sees the ghost of a smile appear on Eddie’s own face.
“I love you too, Eddie. And that is something I can promise will never change.”
hope you liked this! i feel like i am getting repetitive with this kinda story but oh well. my fic my rules yadda yadda. but yeah thanks so much for reading! hope you enjoyed even if it was repetitive :)

Fire
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: language
Characters: Peter Parker, Karen, Tony Stark, Helen Cho
Mentioned: Adrian Toomes, May Parker
Prompt Credit: @tadie1234 || burns
Peter had to admit, fires were among his least favorite rescues as Spider-Man. He knew it was a selfish thought, but he hated going into burning buildings to save people for more reasons than one.
First, his suit wasn’t exactly fireproof. It was less flammable that his makeshift suit, but it wasn’t indestructible. It didn’t completely protect him from the flames. Second, it was hard to see and Karen struggled to differentiate between heat signatures with everything ablaze, meaning he relied mostly on his Spider-Sense to pull people to safety. Third, it reminded him of the Vulture. Every time he saw fire he remembered the fight on the beach and he struggled to keep his anxiety in check long enough to get the job done.
The worst part, however, was the smoke. His mask helped; it filtered out some of the chemicals in the air, but it didn’t completely prevent the smoke from filling his lungs. It wasn’t an oxygen mask, and it couldn’t save his life if it came down to it. It was better than nothing, sure, but it wasn’t as protective as he wished it was.
Despite all this, Peter didn’t hesitate to rush inside when he saw the smoke pouring out the windows of the apartment building. “Okay, Karen,” he murmured. “I need you to try your hardest to pick out heat signatures for me, alright? If there’s even the slightest difference in temperatures, you tell me.”
“I will do my best, Peter,” she replied. He didn’t wait for her to find anyone to start searching. Every now and then he would call out, hoping that someone might hear him. And eventually, he started to find people when he reached the higher levels of the building; the floors above the origin of the fire. With each find, he would swing out the window and lower them to the ground before jumping back inside to start searching again.
The last time he went inside, his Spider-Sense grew stronger. He was confused at first, but then heard the creaking noise and cursed under his breath. Pieces of wood and metal started to fall down on him, burning his suit on contact and leaving him with open wounds. “The structure of the building is becoming unstable,” Karen informed him as he made his way to the next floor. “Evacuation is suggested.”
“Not yet, Karen,” he responded, focusing his senses. “There’s still a few people left.”
And with each person he carried out, Peter felt himself growing weaker. His chest was starting to ache, and he had to stop as he broke into a coughing fit. Someone suggested he rest, but he just shook his head and jumped back inside. There was just a few more rooms left to check. He would be okay.
“Peter, your vitals are starting to grow unstable,” Karen warned him. “If they do not steady soon, I will have to activate Baby Monitor Protocol.”
“Yeah, don’t do that,” Peter muttered. “This is the last room, okay? Then we’ll get out of here.”
Karen didn’t protest as Peter busted down the deteriorating door of the last room. He was showered with embers, but he ignored the pain when he saw a small figure inside; a little girl that couldn’t be older than six. She was barely conscious, raising her head slightly to look at him.
Peter immediately rushed over to her. “Hey, Sweetie,” he murmured, rubbing her shoulder. “I’m going to get you out of here, okay?”
The little girl nodded weakly and Peter felt his heart breaking for her. In a split second decision, he pulled his mask off and slipped it over her head. “Karen, filter out as much smoke as you can.” Knowing he wouldn’t hear the reply, he picking up the child and started towards the window. His lungs ached with the effort as he shot a web to the next building and swung himself to the roof. He took the mask off the girl and slipped it back on before taking her down to the waiting medics.
As soon as he was sure the girl was safe, Peter shot a web at the building across the street. He stumbled as he landed on the roof, collapsing in a coughing fit. His chest aches with each effort, and he struggled to fight off his panic. He knew that he needed help. There was no way he would be able to make it home in the condition he was in. “Karen?” He was shocked by the hoarseness of his voice. “Call Mr. Stark.”
Karen didn’t respond, but Peter could hear the ringing noise inside his mask. He was afraid that his mentor might not pick up, but he relaxed when he heard a click. “Hey, Pete.”
“H-hey,” Peter choked on a cough before taking a shaky breath. “Could— do you think you can come get me?”
Peter heard the change in Tony’s voice as he realized something was wrong. “Peter? What’s wrong, Kid?” He could hear a whirring noise that let him know that he was already getting in a suit to come find him. “God, your vitals are tanking.”
“There was a fire,” he croaked. He took a deep breath to continue, but instead started coughing again. This fit was longer and black spots danced in his vision before it ended. He could hear Tony talking to him but couldn’t respond. His words became more frantic but he finally sighed with relief as Peter took a breath.
“Save your breath, alright? I’m almost there,” Tony said quickly. “Take slow, steady breaths for me.”
Peter did as he was told. He wanted to close his eyes and rest, but he knew that wasn’t the best idea right now. As the adrenaline faded, he felt the stinging pain of his burns. Then there were patches of skin that were numb. He knew that meant that they were likely third degree burns, and he silently hoped that a skin graft wouldn’t be necessary with his superhuman abilities.
“Peter? Pete, you with me?” Peter heard metal clank against the roof and looked up as Tony came out of the suit and kneeled beside him, pulling off his mask. He seemed relieved when Peter looked at him, his eyes showing no confusion. “Sh*t, Kid, you’re burned up.”
“That’s what happens when you walk through fire, Mr. Stark,” he mumbled, smiling a bit. He hoped that the joke would help ease his anxiety. He slowly tried to sit up, wincing at the pain.
“Hey, take it easy.” Tony gently supported his back as he sat up. He put his other hand on Peter’s chest, frowning at the rattly breaths the boy was taking. “Okay, we’re going to get you to the med bay.”
“N-no, I’ll be okay,” Peter countered. “I just need to rest and I can’t get home.”
Tony shook his head. “Sorry, Kiddo, but your vitals are terrible right now and some of these burns look nasty.”
Peter sighed but didn’t protest as Tony got back in the suit and carefully picked him up. He couldn’t help but hiss in pain as his wounds were touched. “Sh*t,” he muttered, coughing out the word. His head was starting to hurt now and he brought a hand up to massage his temple.
The flight to the tower wasn’t long, and Peter was relieved when he was laid down on a soft bed. A doctor was looking over him immediately, strapping a mask to his face and pricking his arm with an IV. “That bad?” he mumbled, watching the medicine start to flow towards his body.
“I told you your vitals aren’t looking good right now,” Tony reminded him, pulling up a chair to sit next to him.
“That, and it’s going to hurt while we work on these burns,” the doctor added. Peter recognized her now as Dr. Cho. He had never actually seen her in person, but there were plenty of videos and photos of her. “We’re going to have to peel your suit off.”
Peter winced at the thought. “Tha’s gonna hurt,” he murmured. He was surprised at the slur in his words. He glanced back at the IV and realized that there must be some sort of strong painkiller in the liquid.
“Heavy painkiller and light sedative,” Helen explained, noticing him glancing at the IV. “The salve we’re going to use has antibiotics in it, but we may end up adding some to the IV depending on how quickly you start healing.”
Peter just hummed in response. He felt a hand in his hair and smiled softly, glancing up. He could see the worry in Tony’s eyes as he watched Helen preparing to take off the damaged suit. Every now and then his gaze would switch to the monitor that was showing Peter’s vitals. They were starting to level out more now, but still weren’t great.
“‘M ‘kay, Tony,” he murmured, catching his attention. “‘S not that bad. ‘M jus’ tired.”
“I know, Kiddo,” Tony replied quietly, continuing to comb his fingers through the boy’s hair. Peter was a bit surprised by the comforting touch, but he didn’t mind. It was nice. “I just hate that you’re hurt.”
“Not bad,” Peter pressed. It was starting to hurt as Dr. Cho started cutting his suit open, but he tried not to let it show. He hoped that his eyes didn’t give the pain away. If he didn’t focus on it, he hoped, it would go away.
“Kinda bad,” Tony countered. He was quiet for a beat, glancing at Helen before looking back to Peter. “Hey, I’m proud of you, Kid. You did a good job today.”
Peter let his smile grow a bit. “Thanks, Mr. Stark.” It wasn’t the first time that the man had complimented him, but it was still nice. It was nice that he was staying here with him, too. “You don’ have to stay.”
“I want to, Pete,” he replied. “I’ll stay until Helen is finished and then I’m going to go call your aunt while you try to get some sleep, deal?”
“Do we hafta tell May?” Peter whined. He knew that there was no way Mr. Stark would let him leave the Medbay tonight, but he had hoped they could tell May he was there for something else. Not Spider-Man purposes. Well, at least not hurt Spider-Man purposes.
“I’m sorry, Underoos. You know the rules,” Tony told him. He was right, too. May would let him be Spider-Man as long as she was told whenever he was hurt. Even if he went to Mr. Stark for help. She didn’t want to be kept out of the loop. “She’s probably worried that you’re not home by now as it is.”
Peter sighed and closed his eyes. He knew it must be past his curfew by now. “‘M I staying here tonight?” he murmured.
“Yeah, Pete. You’re staying here tonight,” Tony confirmed. “Burns don’t heal overnight, even for Spider-Kids.”
“Not to mention that you already don’t thermoregulate well,” Dr. Cho cut in. “The skin is what keeps your body temperature regulated. With it damaged, you won’t be able to stay warm. Not to mention there’s a higher risk for infection until the third degree burns heal. You could be here a couple of days.”
Peter groaned with frustration. He hated being cooped up, but he knew that she was right. He would only be cooped up longer if he got sick on top of his injuries. He would lose his mind.
But tonight. . . Tonight wouldn’t be bad. The salve would be soothing on his burns. After they were wrapped up and he was given some water and an increased IV drip, he would be grateful to drift away into a peaceful sleep. Truthfully, it was worth it. Because he managed to save everyone in that building. He managed to get them all out safe. For that, the burns covering his body was a small price he didn’t mind to pay.

Hunting for Love
Summary:
Makoto Naegi is the disgrace of the Naegi monster-hunting clan.
With the recent attacks, Makoto believes that he can finally prove his worth.
Will he be able to slay the monster or will he stay as a failure?
You can read it on AO3 here
It was a hard existence being the son of a well-known Monster Hunting clan. His family always stared at him with eyes filled with disgust.
He was the weaker child, a bit too kind-hearted. How could he even think about showing monsters kindness after what the monsters did to humans?
“Makoto,” his mother had said softly. “This world wasn’t made for people like you.” The sadness in her eyes was almost too much for Makoto to bear.
That’s why he was here, with his only friend, Sayaka Maizono. There had been reports of a lone werewolf ravaging houses on the outskirts.
“Are we sure that it’s only one werewolf?” Sayaka had asked nervously, there were barely any houses left.
“Apparently only one werewolf has ever been spotted,” Makoto confirmed. “But jeez, how strong could this thing be?”
“Not strong enough to beat you Makoto!” Sayaka cheered. “You’ll be hailed a hero in no time.”
Makoto nodded and smiled appreciatively. “You’re right, let’s do this!”
And thus, the two went straight into the forest, unaware that they were already being watched by the werewolf they sought to hunt.
Bravery, the trait of the foolish.
A trait commonly shared by hunters.
It seemed these two hunters were no different. Unaware of the situation they were entrapping themselves in.
Izuru Kamukura found himself watching the two hunters despite their actions being usual and boring.
The girl with blue hair followed eagerly after the shorter boy, seemingly holding on to every word that he muttered.
Said boy looked almost familiar. The way he held himself was anything but confident. As if he was forcing himself through every step.
The two seemed wholly unprepared for what awaited them in the forest even without the werewolf issue.
This would be quick, that was obvious.
But when he thought about ending the short boy's life, he was filled with a feeling akin to disgust.
That would be interesting.
“Maybe we should set up camp for tonight,” Makoto said, staring at the sky. “It looks like we aren’t going to encounter anything today.”
“Good thing we came prepared,” Sayaka said. “That was a smart idea, Makoto.”
“Really?” Makoto asked. “I thought it was just common sense…”
“Nope!” Sayaka said. “You’d be surprised about the sense of some of the people in our town.”
Makoto laughed as Sayaka began to complain about the boys who were always after her.
Even if they didn’t catch the werewolf, at least Makoto could be free from the chains of his last name.
He didn’t like to think about his family when he didn’t have to.
The Naegis were an all-powerful clan, saviors of the town.
And then there was Makoto, who was barely able to wield a weapon. Too soft for his last name but too human to be killed.
The world was cruel to those who didn’t fit in, and unluckily Makoto fit right into the not fitting in box.
“Makoto,” Sayaka said, interrupting his train of thought. “Were you paying attention to what I was saying?”
“Huh…?” Makoto said. “O-of course!”
“If you were paying attention, you’d know I said we needed more firewood,” Sayaka said, staring at Makoto.
“Oh, oh…!” Makoto said, noticing that they did in fact need more firewood. “I’ll go get some more.”
“Do you want me to come with you?” Sayaka asked. “It could be dangerous out there.”
“I’ll be fine,” Makoto said quickly. “You should stay at the camp so I can find it more easily.”
“Alright, Makoto,” Sayaka said. “But stay safe, alright?”
“Of course.”
Makoto walked away from the camp, carrying a silver knife and a flashlight. Nervously, he wandered the forest, looking for branches that would be big enough to be used for the campfire.
Makoto had the feeling he was being watched although when he looked around, he didn’t see anything.
So he continued deeper into the forest, grabbing spare branches when he noticed them. It was silent, too silent. Even the bugs had stopped making their nightly noises.
What does it mean when it gets too silent…? Makoto thought, trying to recall his training. Is it something about a predator…?
Makoto didn’t have much time to ponder. As he took another step, he was met by a low growling noise.
Makoto turned around just as he was jumped by the mysterious animal.
Izuru watched as the boy got jumped by a wolf, deciding it would be a fitting end for him. But before he could leave to watch something else, a surge of emotion stopped him right in his tracks.
Although only for a few seconds, Izuru was reminded of a lifetime of memories. The relative peace he had in his head being disrupted by something both new and old.
What are you doing ? The intrusion hissed. You can’t just let him die.
Izuru subconsciously bared his fangs, emotions that weren’t his started to flood his system.
That boy is inconsequential, Izuru responded. He was here to kill me, so why should I save him?
The voice didn’t respond, but Izuru could feel its anger.
This was annoying.
There would be no reasoning with the voice as Izuru already knew what it was like. Stubborn to a fault, the original owner of the body he was in.
Hajime Hinata.
The boy, who Hajime had identified as Makoto Naegi seemed to be in dire straits. With the feeling that Hajime was going to be more of a nuisance if Izuru didn’t save Makoto, Izuru jumped down.
The wolf was going to be an easy target.
Dealing with Makoto would be less so.
Makoto saw his life flash through his eyes, trying his hardest to fight against the animal that was constantly going for his neck.
He was losing strength quickly, wondering if the sight would be too gruesome for Sayaka to discover.
Just as he was about to give up, the animal was thrown off of him at a terrifying speed. Makoto scrambled for his flashlight, shining it at the shadow of his savior.
When Makoto got the light on its figure his heart sunk.
His “savior” was the same werewolf he was hunting. In his current position, there was no way he could do anything.
His knife was far away from his hands and his whole body was scratched up.
“Please,” Makoto began to beg. “Just take me and not my friend.”
The werewolf tilted its head, staring at Makoto as if it was confused.
“If you’re going to kill anyone,” Makoto continued. “Please just have it be me.”
“Why aren’t you trying to sacrifice your friend instead?”the werewolf growled out. “That would at least be the normal reaction.”
Makoto frowned, not expecting to have lived long enough for a conversation. “People will miss her.”
“And they wouldn’t miss a Naegi?” the werewolf asked, clearly not buying his explanation.
“They wouldn’t miss me,” Makoto corrected. “I’m only a Naegi in name, at least to them.”
“You’re still a hunter.”
“Not really,” Makoto said, looking away from the werewolf and putting his flashlight down. “I have the training but no skill to go along with it.”
The werewolf stayed silent and Makoto wondered what was going to happen. Should he feel thankful that the werewolf saved his life or should he at least be trying to kill the werewolf?
“Wait,” Makoto mumbled. “Why did you save me if you knew who I was?”
“It’d be easier to show you,” the werewolf said. “Wait here.”
As the werewolf disappeared into the foliage, Makoto decided to wait. His arms and legs ached and burned, and if he was going to die here he’d rather it be quick.
When the werewolf came back, it wasn’t in the form of the wolf but in the form of a man.
Makoto ran his flashlight over the werewolf’s body, noticing the long ink-like hair. When Makoto got to look at the werewolf’s eyes, he was surprised to see a red iris and a green one.
“Your eyes,” Makoto said. “They’re two different colors.”
The werewolf only nodded, staring at Makoto with what seemed to be desperation. What was Makoto supposed to be seeing here?
“Have we met before?” Makoto asked, trying to put a name to the werewolf’s face.
“You can say that,” the werewolf responded, voice cold. “My name is Izuru Kamukura, although you wouldn’t have originally met me under that name.”
“Huh…?” Makoto asked. “What do you mean…?”
Just let me take control, Hajime hissed. It’d be easier for me to explain it to him.
No, you’d only make things worse, Izuru answered. I don’t need any attachment to this human.
You can’t just ignore our feelings for him, Hajime protested. We’re not just going to leave him.
Your feelings for him are not my concern, Izuru responded.
“Originally there was a boy named Hajime Hinata,” Izuru began to explain, and Makoto audibly gasped. “He agreed to an experiment which changed his personality, outward appearance, and abilities.”
“The experiment made him a superhuman,” Izuru said. “And the new personality, Izuru Kamukura, was quickly bored with the life around him.”
“I don’t understand,” Makoto stammered out. “Why would he, why would you ever agree to an experiment like that…!”
“Hajime Hinata wanted more than what he was given,” Izuru answered simply. “He was willing to throw away his life for a chance at success.”
“But why did you save me if you’re no longer Hajime?” Makoto asked. “We’re strangers and I came here to kill you…!”
“That is because Hajime has made his way back,” Izuru said, voice developing a growling undertone. “Because of you.”
“Because of me…?” Makoto asked. “That doesn’t make any sense at all…!”
“You apparently meant a lot to him,” Izuru said. “And because of that, you’re causing problems for me.”
“Huh…?”
“His feelings are now mixing in with my own,” Izuru spat. “I want you to fix it.”
He’s not going to be able to change your feelings, Hajime informed him, sounding a bit smug.
Shut up.
“I don’t really understand…” Makoto mumbled. “I don’t know how to fix your feelings, but if you told me them I could try to help…!”
“It’s almost as if I cannot avoid looking at you,” Izuru began to explain. “There’s this strange feeling in my chest and I cannot decide if I want it to stay or if I want to rip it out.”
Makoto’s face began to flush, “U-um, could you describe anything else…?”
“I also feel this strange need to be close to you,” Izuru said, beginning to inch his way towards Makoto. “As if something bad might happen if I let you get away.”
“That’s um…” Makoto said, face fully red. “That sounds like… you might have a crush.”
Izuru’s face was inches away from Makoto when he next spoke. “Is that so?”
“Y-yep…!” Makoto said, voice higher pitched. “S-seems to be the case!”
“Do you have any solutions to this issue…?” Izuru asked, breath caressing Makoto’s face.
Izuru was way too close to Makoto. This man, no, werewolf was inhumanly attractive, sure, but there was no way this was happening… right?
Deep breaths, Makoto thought. He’s probably just messing with me… right…?!
“A s-solution…?” Makoto choked out. “U-um, well usually s-some people kiss who t-they like but-”
Before Makoto could finish his sentence, his and Izuru’s lips met.
What… the crap...?! Makoto thought. What is even happening…?
“He was taking too long,” Izuru said as he pulled away.
“H-he…?” Makoto stuttered out.
“Ah yeah,” Izuru said. “And it’s Hajime right now, not Izuru.”
“Then he wasn’t lying about that…?” Makoto asked. “You’re really Hajime Hinata…?”
“Yep,” Hajime answered. “Sorry that I’ve been gone for a while.”
Makoto stared, mostly awestruck. The only other person from his town who had cared about him was back.
Oh, and they also kissed, but that could be dealt with later.
“Wait,” Makoto said, reality catching back up to him. “Aren’t you a werewolf…?”
“Oh, yeah,” Hajime said. “That’s Izuru’s fault, I don’t really know much about it.”
Before Makoto could ask any more questions Hajime was standing up and examining him.
“Jesus,” Hajime muttered. “That wolf really got you good.”
Suddenly reminded of the scratches littering his body, Makoto winced. “Yeah, I guess you could say that…”
“Ugh that asshole should’ve came in sooner,” Hajime said, mostly to himself. “Do you have a camp or anything like that…?”
“Camp… oh yeah,” Makoto said before quickly remembering Sayaka. “Sayaka…! She’s got to be worried sick by now!”
“Sayaka?” Hajime asked before quickly saying “Oh, Sayaka.”
“Huh… you know her?”
“You could say that.”
Makoto began the laborious task of trying to get up. Hajime, who soon realized Makoto’s problem helped him up with ease.
“Are you sure you’re going to be able to walk?” Hajime asked, staring at Makoto worriedly. “I could carry you.”
Makoto’s legs were screaming at him as he responded, “No, it’ll probably be best if I walk there. Makes it easier to explain to Sayaka.”
Hajime nodded uncertainly at Makoto, letting the smaller boy take the lead.
Watching Makoto limp was worrying. Although he pretended that he was fine, it was obvious that his body had taken some sort of toll.
You should’ve let us carry him , Izuru said. It’s obvious he’s in pain right now.
We have to respect his wishes, Hajime said, silently agreeing with Izuru. It’s going to be hard enough to explain to that Sayaka girl without us carrying him.
If there is any explaining to be done with her, Izuru said. It seems she might be a bigger problem than Makoto is expecting.
What do you mean…?
She seems fiercely protective of Makoto, Izuru said. We should be on our guard .
Hajime acknowledged Izuru’s concerns before focusing wholly on Makoto.
“Um for this part,” Makoto said, nervously looking at Hajime. “It’d probably be better if we held hands…”
“Huh…?!” Hajime yelled. “What, why…?”
“All the trees are closely packed together,” Makoto explained. “It’d be a lot easier to lose each other if we aren’t holding hands.”
“A-alright…” Hajime said, reaching for Makoto’s hand.
You kissed him before, Izuru commented. Why is this any different…?
It’s different because he’s the one doing it…! Hajime bristled You just wouldn’t understand!
As they got closer to the camp, Hajime could make out the faint smell of fire and smoke. It seemed Makoto hadn’t noticed yet, judging by how he went only based on sight.
His senses aren’t as good as yours, Izuru explained. He’s a human and you’re not.
Hajime wanted to complain, but so far it seemed to be helping. He could admire Makoto without looking too weird.
When they made it to the camp, Sayaka ran over to Makoto and hugged him.
“Makoto!” Sayaka yelled. “I was so worried about you…!”
“I’m sorry,” Makoto said. “I got caught by a wild animal…”
After hearing that, Sayaka released her grip on Makoto and saw his injuries. “Oh god, Makoto, you’re hurt!”
“I’m fine,” Makoto protested. “Nothing that can’t be helped with a few bandages.”
Let me take control, Izuru said, watching Sayaka faun over Makoto. I have medical expertise.
We wouldn’t need your medical expertise if you didn’t let him get hurt, Hajime grumbled, reluctantly letting Izuru take over.
Izuru walked closer to Makoto and Sayaka. “I believe I can offer existence.”
Sayaka finally noticed them, glaring up at him. “And who are you…?”
“These are my friends Izuru and Hajime,” Makoto said quickly. “They’re the ones who saved me from the animal!”
Sayaka examined Izuru. “I feel like I’ve seen you before.”
“Perhaps you have,” Izuru said. “Could you give me the bandages and antiseptic so I could treat Makoto?”
Sayaka glared at Izuru before reluctantly giving him the bandages.
“Don’t hurt him,” Sayaka whispered into his ear before walking off to tend to the fire.
“This might hurt,” Izuru warned, gently cleaning the wounds on Makoto’s arms and legs.
Makoto hissed, grabbing onto what remained of the fabric of his pants.
You’re hurting him, Hajime said.
It has to be done, Izuru said. Otherwise, they’ll get infected.
After cleaning and bandaging the wounds, Izuru turned Makoto around.
“I believe we were having a ‘moment’ before Hajime interrupted,” Izuru said, once again putting his face near Makoto’s face. “Were we not?”
The effect was near-instantaneous, Makoto’s face lit like it was a match.
“U-um, y-yeah,” Makoto stuttered out. “I guess we w-were.”
Izuru grabbed Makoto’s face softly, tilting it up before lining up their lips.
Unlike Hajime’s kiss, Izuru was gentler, more skilled but less forceful. Izuru noticed Makoto reciprocating much quicker.
But the moment couldn’t last too long, not with Sayaka as a spectator.
“You,” Sayaka growled, glaring daggers at Izuru. “What are you doing with Makoto?”
“Kissing him,” Izuru said plainly, pulling the smaller boy into his chest.
I thought we weren’t going to piss Sayaka off? Hajime asked.
We never said anything like that , Izuru responded. If she wants to start a fight, we’ll give her one.
Sayaka gripped at her own silver knife, pointing it at Izuru. “You’re that werewolf that is terrorizing our town, correct?”
“Correct.”
“If I killed you and gave the glory to Makoto,” Sayaka continued. “Makoto and I could live a happy life just the two of us…”
Makoto pushed himself away from the protective hold of Izuru. “Sayaka, what are you talking about…?”
“Makoto, I loved you for so very long…” Sayaka said, moaning out the last word. “With this kill, we could finally be together forever…”
“Sayaka, please…” Makoto whimpered, but it fell on deaf ears.
Sayaka charged for Izuru, filled with adrenaline and rage. It was an easy attack to dodge, no skill was placed into it.
Grabbing Sayaka’s arms once she got close enough he forced her down on the ground. Growling into her ear, “Give me one reason not to kill you.”
Before Sayaka could say anything, Makoto’s arms were around Izuru’s chest.
“Please,” Makoto murmured. “Don’t hurt her.”
Izuru removed the weapon from Sayaka’s hand before releasing her.
You should’ve killed her, Hajime growled. She tried to hurt us and take Makoto.
You heard Makoto , is all Izuru replied.
Once released, Sayaka ran towards the town.
“I didn’t really see that one coming,” Makoto said, relaxing onto Izuru’s back. “I always thought we were just close friends.”
“You’re naïve, Makoto,” Izuru responded, slowly moving around to wrap Makoto in his arms.
There’s no way he can go back home, is there? Hajime asked.
No, Izuru answered. Sayaka will probably have the town rally to try to kill us.
“I don’t think I can go home,” Makoto muttered as if reading their mind. “But I don’t mind, as long as I have you two.”
“Oh?” Izuru asked.
Makoto smiled up at them, “In fact, I think I might be owed something from all of this.”
Izuru stared blankly waiting for Makoto to continue.
Makoto pulled Izuru’s face down and captured his lips in a kiss.
“I don’t think I mind spending my life in exile,” Makoto said after their lips parted. “As long as it’s with you two.”

Tainting the Angel so That She Falls - Subaru
Existence had always been unkind to you, as a Nephilim.
A child of both worlds.
An abomination.
You never really ‘belonged’ anywhere, born too sinful to join the angelic ranks, too holy and powerful to live amongst the human children.
Your mother had tried her best to raise you and keep your parentage a secret from the other village folks - she tried to ensure you had a safe upbringing, but it was not meant to be. You were too strange to fit in with the other children, and it showed.
Eventually, your mother even gave her life to protect you from the villagers’ harmful intent, believing you to be a demonic child, not an angelic one. Then again, to them, there would be little difference. You were dangerous in their eyes because you were a mystical being unknown to them.
And they feared that which they did not know.
So you ran. You ran far and tried to find your place in the world, though it was tremendously difficult and the road was ever-weary.
It was a tremendously painful life, full of challenges to just stay alive - never belonging anywhere. Through the centuries you adapted from one place to another, from era to era, keeping mostly to yourself because you knew no matter how hard you tried, that you’d never be accepted by the humans.
And that was when you met him.
He was a vampire. You didn’t sense that at first - only the vague sense of solidarity between yourselves. From the very first moment you met him, you felt connected to him.
You were both still children. You’d been older by a century or two - but by immortal standards, this was nothing; and though your innocence was gone due to era after era of horrible treatment and observing the sins of humanity, your body had yet to mature.  Immortals aged far slower.
His own innocence was almost gone, when you met him.
He was a sweet boy. Your meeting had been an accident - you were in a forest when you saw him - he was picking wild roses and flowers, when you stepped on a branch and accidentally made yourself known. He hissed, thinking you an enemy, only to raise his eyebrow in surprise when he saw a weak-looking, starved girl show herself to him.
Feebly, you introduced yourself as simply “(Y/N)”.  Nothing more, nothing less.
Subaru allowed you to pick the flowers with him and explained they were for his mother; he wished to do something nice for her that would make her smile - “she’s been unhappy a lot, lately.” He told you, that day.
Once the sun began to go down, you stood, wishing him and his mother well, turning to walk back into the woods. You had the sweetest little hut you had found in the woods back about a decade or so, it was small and quaint and well-hidden, and thus ideal for you. Perhaps, it was cold, and winters were harsh, but you loved your small hut for one.
From the moment of your fateful meeting onwards, you and Subaru spent more time together. He’d come to visit you, especially when he had terrible days, and you let him see your hut.
For a little while, everything was good. Your life, always so chaotic, was...good, and you were truly happy for the first time in forever.
Seasons changed just as they did each year, but for the first time, you noticed the beauty in everything. The rusty autumn leaves, the frosty spiderwebs, the spring daises, the sun-encased trees.
And, as time passed, you and Subaru only became closer. Childhood sweethearts; not-quite-lovers. Simply two young souls who adored each other, who understood each other, who felt a bond. The type of relationship that is filled with “almost”.
Almost kisses, almost lovers, almost romance, almost eternal;
Until, one day, he stopped visiting you.
You had no idea why - you tried to find out, to go to him, but you did not know where his house was. For all you knew, someone or something might’ve killed your best friend in cold hands.
You stayed up all day and night for weeks on end hoping he would come, searching your forest high and low, but there was no sign of him.
Dejected, you had to accept the outcome that either he was now dead, or, the dreadful outcome; he was tired and bored of you.
It also turned out that one of the nearby villagers had seen you, and they gathered to expel you from your hut. Unfortunately for you, the village nearest to the forest had been overflowing with superstitious fools who, as all humans did, chased you out with flames and curses.
Years and decades blended together undistinguishedly, and now you were sitting on a church rooftop, petite but glorious wings on your back, loosely relaxed. You’d been accepted, at long last, by the angelic order.
You still had no idea why they allowed you into their order - you, who they viewed as a disgusting being for so long - but you were glad because at long last you finally ‘belonged’.
Except you didn’t really feel as if you did. Being one of them was great - what you’d dreamt of since you were a child, but now you found it so...devoid of joy.
Subaru still crossed your mind, more often than he ought to. You wished you had more time with him, but Fate was a cruel mistress. Whatever happened to him in the end, you could only hope it brought him peace, even if it was death.
The card that Fate threw at you, however, mere months later was as unexpected as could be.
Walking down the streets, wearing a charm that concealed you from human eyes, you tried to locate your new human charge - they were going to let you observe humans and assist some guardian angels to train yourself to someday become one, too.
It was there where you saw him, but you could not believe your eyes - it was a hallucination, it must be.
You stood across from one another in the street, baffled, until Subaru was approached by what you could only assume were his brothers and a sweet-looking blonde girl, pulling him away from staring at the girl across the street.
He looked...good. Shaking yourself out of that state, you turned and continued walking to your destination, trying to focus on the task at hand. Subaru was your past.
Being an angel...this was your future.
It was your future...but you felt drawn towards him, you always were.
The next time you saw him, it was months later. You spent those months working and sucking up to make yourself seem worthy of your lowly angelic ranking - they had a change of heart and allowed you to join them in the first place, you weren’t about to be lazy and make them think they made a regrettable choice.
As one who never fit anywhere, this was going to be as good as it got for you. Humanity was overrated, so at least you had that in common with quite a large portion of some more...spiteful angels.
This time, you had a different kind of task. Your tasks as a pupil for being a future guardian was going well, but they wanted to test your abilities to protect your charges from evil beings, and thus you were given the responsibility to ‘take care’ of some small negative influences - nothing extreme, you were always going to be a Nephilim, and thus weaker than a full-on angel when it came to powers. You had to get rid of some slightly-negative spirits, helping them pass over to the other side. Not the easiest job, but not dangerous, either.
It was during this time that Subaru approached you, breathless, just as you watched a spirit fade into the light, feeling you with warmth. Subaru had watched you in the shadows as you gently explained to the ghost that they were dead and that their confusion was valid, but they needed to let go. It was beautiful.
“(Y/N).”
You gasped, turning around and staring at him, fighting against your immediate instinct to run into his arms and hug him as you cried. He was your past, now, not your future.
“Subaru…”
The awkward tension was endless. What could he possibly say to you? What could you possibly say to him?
“I…” he paused, gulping, ashamed. He had never gone back to visit you, never said goodbye, and the shame from that was hitting him - hard. He’d abandoned you like he feared to be abandoned.
He did to you, what he feared would be done to him. There was no amount of apologies that could ever atone for that.
When he did go back, months later, your small cottage had been burnt to the ground, as with the woodland closest to it. He recalled how much he wept, thinking you dead.
And now here you were and with wings this time around.
“You’re an angel now,”
“-Yes.” your responses were curt and simple - you couldn’t be mixed up with him anymore. If someone saw you...well, you would risk falling and that would be worse than if you remained half-way between two worlds.
Subaru cursed himself into infinity, throat and chest feeling too tight - he couldn’t breathe.
“I must go,” You stated, taking him off-guard, and left.
And just like the first time he lost you, you took his heart with you.
He couldn’t sleep for weeks on end, dreams of you haunting him, regret overcoming him. He needed to find you - to explain himself - to, perhaps, make things right if at all possible.
Subaru knew he didn’t deserve your forgiveness. You’d always been too soft, too sweet, too loving for him. But he had to try.
A monster he may be, but he’d be damned if he didn’t even try to atone.
Finding you was harder than he thought, however, since you were evading him - when he got sight of you, you would see him and hurry away.
It frustrated him to no end.
You tried your hardest to be strong, to stay away from him. Your heart longed for him for so long, but you couldn’t allow yourself to be seen with him, to fraternize with him.
Except you were weak, and after the nth time of seeing him and his dejected face, you sighed and went down to him, allowing him to talk.
He then, badly, attempted to redeem himself - explain himself - in front of you, stuttering over every other word as his emotions overwhelmed him and made him want to punch the nearest wall, and he did. His sudden affinity for violence shocked you and made you flinch, caused pain to strike through his unbeating heart.
You were scared of him, now, because he couldn’t control his forsaken temper!
But you, foolishly, agreed to forgive him - and from then on, though you didn’t particularly go out of your way to see him, if you happened to then you were just as kind and sweet as ever.
He missed you so badly, he hadn’t even realised how much until now.
And he wanted you to be with him - like you always should’ve been - but you were on the angels’ side now, and he knew better than to try and ruin something so beautiful for you.
So, when you had a fallout with some upper angels, and realised how miserable you were, you went to find him just to lament your fate - he was the only person  you could go to in this situation, and you just hoped he wouldn’t mind your ranting.
He understood, then, that you still felt like you did not belong even with the angels.
But he dared not suggest anything else -  anything about you stepping away from that Holy Order.
And, when you were discovered, he knew he had to do something right by you, for once, and tried to place all the blame on himself; he tempted you - and all those bullshit ‘unholy’ acts - to frame himself as the sinner, which he was, in this case. You, however, were having none of it.
Even if you hadn’t announced that you were fine with falling, you would’ve fallen regardless; an angel was meant to be incorruptible, which you clearly weren’t in their eyes.
But the fact he still tried warmed your heart, and you appreciated it oh-so-deeply.
Gods, you loved him - oh God. You loved him. Though you supposed it had always been that way.
And...if falling was what it took to be with him - to be allowed to be with him - then so be it. Because by his side, and only by his side, did you feel like you belonged.

I do not own "The Beginning After The End", it belongs to its original creator TurtleMe. This is only a fanfiction that I was inspired to write by the original work. Please support the official release. Most of the media - such as the art and illustrations, gifs, video's, etc. used in this fanfiction - are from the web. Thus, most of them aren't mine (because I really, really can't draw) unless mentioned. To fit the story, images are also edited by various apps and websites. So they aren't mine, just edited. I get much of the text, especially the fight scenes and thought, aside from my oc's, from the original novel, which can be found on Library Novel. Please support the official release.
Also if you own a picture or Video that I found online, and you either want your name added, or me to take it down. Please contact me and we can talk it out. P.s. I also ask that you do not copy my work and publish it onto any other website.
If you're gonna use my idea, please ask me (If you ask nicely, I for sure, will agree). If I don't contact you within a week, then just assume I'm giving you the all clear and go for it. Just remember to credit me.
I will be writing out scenes even if my Oc isn't in them. As long as she's mentioned, or influencing the characters in some way. This may seem a bit annoying. But that's just how I write. I like to embed my characters into the story line. Because of this, most of the dialogue/scenes will come from the original work.

{Morgana P.O.V.}
Crossing through the teleportation gate, my senses jolted from the scenery. The City of Xyrus had the most teleportation gates among the cities since they were the only way one could enter it, it being a floating city and all. The one we crossed led us directly to the front entrance of the area known as the Beast Glades.
The chirps of birds, occasional cries and roars of beasts, and the constant sound of water flowing filling the background all created an enticing symphony of nature. The sight of tall trees and numerous hills covered in various plants and shrubs made it hard to believe that this beautiful landscape was filled with magical beasts capable of killing even the strongest mages. However, because of abundances of natural resources on the outskirts, it was mostly only the lower rank beasts that inhabited this deeper an adventurer traversed, the more mysterious and treacherous the landscape turned, filled with the lairs of powerful beasts that have amassed their treasures and power in the solitude's of unexplored regions in the Beast Glades.
I took a sip of the crisp air as Jasmine and Arthur arrived behind me through the teleportation gate when, suddenly, I heard a wish, and from the corner of my eyes I saw Sylvie scurry off.
"Wait, Sylv! Where are you going?" Arthur called after her, dumbfounded.
Sylvie transmitted a vague response; I could feel her emotions of excitement as she sent out thoughts about her plans to train as well.
"Did she just?" I asked, pointing at the direction my baby just ran off to.
"Yep, she just ran away from home." He answered weekly, his tone going a little high.
"Oh, Arthur." I sighed, pulling him close and giving him a shoulder hug. I had only known Sylvie for a couple of months, and I felt as if something was missing without her here.
But she was Arthur's bond, and had never left him since the day she had hatched. I could only imagine how big the hole in his heart must feel.
"Are you gonna be ok?" I asked. "We could take a break."
Arthur shook his head, "We just got here. Plus, I'm only a little…" He struggled, unsure of what world to use, "...uneasy. But… I can sense her whereabouts. So it should be fine."
"You can sense her whereabouts?" I asked, surprised.
He nodded, "Wait! You can't?"
I shook my head.
"Close your eyes, and try searching for her aura."
I did what he had said. I could see the mana floating around me, but no Sylvie. I opened my eyes, "Nothing. No trace of her. Maybe we're not just there yet."
Sylvie had explained to me that the longer me and Arthur were with each other, the stronger our mate bond would become. And the stronger it becomes, the easier it would be for me to create an adopted bond with Sylvie. Of course that would only be possible after spending time with her. And if I ever got a bond, it would be the same with Arthur. He would form a bond, through me, until he had a second, slightly weaker bond, with my own, on his own.
So because of that, until my bond with Sylvie was complete, I would be using Arthur's bond, to support my own developing one with her.
Now it was Arthur's turn to give me a sympathetic and reassuring hug. "It's fine mama bear."
"You're right." I nodded, "Knowing you can still
"She'll be okay. Mana beasts have a natural instinct to grow stronger. She must've felt very suffocated being in a sheltered environment all of her life," Jasmine pips up , walking next to Arthur.
"I know." I nod, "But that honestly doesn't make it hurt any less."
Jasmine lets out a chuckle, "It's like your her mother."
"She is" - "I am"
Arthur and I answer at the same time.
Jasmine stops a bit, staring at us long and hard, before smiling, "I think I get what your parents meant now. Well, to each their own."
Both me and Arthur smile at that. She really is a great woman.
Putting her hand on our shoulder, she signalled for us to start moving. "There's a place I wish to visit first before going to a dungeon. We have to hurry though; it gets a little more dangerous at night."
Willing mana into her body, Jasmine bolted off into the distance, her wind attribute mana propelling her even faster.
I followed after her, forming two gales of wind below my feet as I dashed after her, Arthur doing the same, followed.
Everyone in a while, Arthur would give me an update on Sylvie.
"I just hope that she doesn't go after bigger beasts until she's ready." I sigh.
"Don't worry. She knows she has us if she ever gets in over her head. She knows she can always ask us for help." Arthur says, petting my head.
*****
The journey lasted a few hours and it began to grow dark. The only reason Arthur and I had been able to keep up with Jasmine, even when she was at a dark yellow stage, was Arthur had been using mana rotation throughout the way, and I had controlled mine to only use the bare minimum amount mana needed to create a controlled, constant amount of wind. This skill had become almost second nature to me now as I utilised it unconsciously whenever I exerted mana.
By late evening, we had cleared through a dense forest and arrived at a small clearing. Surrounded by trees, there was a small field of grass with a stream of clear water flowing through it.
"We'll camp out here for a few days," Jasmine announced as she set down her bag and took out a couple of items.
"Weren't we going to a dungeon right away?" Arthur asked, setting down his bag as well.
She simply shook her head, picking up a few branches of wood and gathering them together.
Well Arthur and I went into the forest, finding some decent-sized branches to make a fire with. After a bit, we had a fire crackling and popping in the middle of our camp. Making myself comfortable, I leaned against Arthur who had removed his mask and sat silently by Jasmine, next to the fire.
Trying to break the silence, Arthur asked Jasmine, "What made you want to become an adventurer?"
"…"
Her gaze never left the fire and after a few minutes of more awkward silence, I just stared back at the flame, assuming she didn't want to answer.
"I wanted to get away from my family." I almost missed what she said from how quietly she spoke amidst the wood of the fire snapping fiercely.
"I see… were you on bad terms with your family?" Arthur responded, his eyes focused on the fire.
I choose to just listen to their conversation.
"…"
"The Flamesworth House was a major contributor to the war against the elves. Our house has provided many powerful mages, both conjurers and augmenters. Our lineage in the fire attribute element was second to none. We took great pride in this, because fire is considered to be the most powerful of the elements," she stated monotonously.
Despite her short sentences, this had been the most Jasmine had talked in one sitting.
"But Jasmine, aren't you a…" Arthur asked, looking up at her as she nodded in response.
"Since early on, when I had first awakened and started training, my family tried to test my mana for fire affinity. I went through various tests so they could see how my mana was exerted and how it flowed through my mana channels." She took a pause and poked at the fire before continuing on. "When it was made clear that I had no aptitude for the fire attribute, my family regarded me as lesser."
"…"
Arthur didn't know how to respond to her. For the first time, the always aloof and cold Jasmine seemed…vulnerable.
"I'm sorry for what happened…" was the only response Arthur managed to utter.
But so much for staying silent, I stood up to my knees and crawled over to Jasmine until I was face to face with her. Looking her directly in the eyes, I told her firmly. "Your family is wrong… and crazy." Her eyes went wide at my statement. "Wind magic is probably stronger than fire when you get down to it! All your family is, is a walking matchstick. All they can do is shoot out flames, a pillar if they're really getting creative. But with wind magic… we can create tornadoes, fly, move objects across a room. I mean it was because of wind magic we covered a distance that would have taken us days, in mere hours. Do I really have to say more?"
Jasmine's eyes widened and she shook her head, she gave me a faint smile. "The Twin Horns have treated me well and I don't dislike what I am."
I smiled, "I know that. I can tell it on your face whenever you're with your party, that you're clearly happy. But I'm just letting you know that your family is wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but theirs… is just plain stupid."
I glanced at her palm as Jasmine formed a small swirl of wind, different emotions running through her face as she peered at her hand.
This world was a place of discrimination and classification. The hierarchical roots embedded into this land would never truly disappear. Normal humans were considered second-rate people, while even amongst mages, augmenters were discriminated against by conjurers. It went further than that where, unless one was a deviant or a dual element specialist, some elements were considered "higher class" than others.
Being born from a family of powerful fire attribute mages, she was discarded as inferior because of the elemental attribute she had; something that most mages would kill to acquire. She was a dark yellow augmenter skilled in fighting and mana manipulation at the ripe age of 24. Many would consider her a genius but from the standards she grew up with, she considered herself lesser.
We placed more wood to last through the coldest parts of the night and laid out our sleeping bags a few feet away so we could still feel the heat.
As we got ready to go to sleep, Arthur leaned into my ear and whispered, "I know subtlety isn't really your strong suit. It never has been."
I sent him a glare, "This better be building into a compliment."
He sent me a smile, "Well, more of a request. But I'm not shy to add one in there. Anyway, if we ever meet with nobility… and royalty again - assuming you haven't scared them enough yet. Could you at least try to hold it in. Until we least have a chance at beating them."
I huffed, "Speak for yourself. I already have my network ready. Of course it really isn't anything that great yet, but it has potential. The seeds are planted, and ready to sprout like a butterfly bush at a moment's notice." I winked at him.
He stared at me confused, "Who would-"
I cut him off, "Finishing school is quite boring when you've actually played the high society game. But, when it comes to making connections with little girls eager for your approval, there's nothing like it. As for informats, they're easy to buy. Mom and dad's allowance has always been generous, and I know exactly how to put it to good use." I smirked as I thought of the various amounts of blackmail I had collected for various families.
Arthur stared at me, wide eyed. "Damn, why didn't you say anything?"
I shrugged, "I thought you knew me?"
"I do!" He defended himself. "But I may have accidentally underestimated you. I thought your network may take you another two to three years. Sorry. Never again."
I smiled into the fire, "Well… If I'm being honest. It's nowhere near as good as my old one. But it's better than nothing. Information is the name of the game. And plus, every now and then, I do find a few pieces of gold." I said, remembering the little golden nugget of information I'd collected on a certain elf princess. I don't wanna be mean, but if she pushes my hand...
My eyebrows furrowed as I remembered, "Where's my compliment?" I pouted.
Arthur chuckled, "What you said to Jasmine, was truly amazing."
"Of course it was." I said, smiling and accepting the compliment. I ran my fingers through his hair, and added, "Though, we really do need to work on your elements. You need to do so much more than just creating pillars of fire." I felt a sweat drop roll down the side of his neck as I began making plans. "I've made a lot of progress with my wind, though I definitely need to work on my water. Before we start school, I would like to start working with ice a little bit. Though I'm not sure how much I could exactly get done between practising wind, and working on water, and relearning the sword." I pouted, eyeing the blue blade Arthur wouldn't let me touch unless he knew for a fact I wouldn't drop it on myself.
As much as I hate to admit it, I don't really blame him for it. Considering he never lets me forget it, I know for a fact he remembers how bad my first sword training lesson went. And to be honest, as fun as it would be to swing it around again, I don't wanna know how well it would work out with my current build. It was too big for my current body. So until I grew a bit, I'd have to use a practice sword.
Eyes closed, I waited to drift off when I heard Jasmine mumble something.
"…It's weird. When I talk to you two, it doesn't feel like I'm talking to children."
I didn't respond. Pretending to be asleep, I hoped she wouldn't push further for a reply.
*****
"Good morning." Jasmine was up and cooking something over the fire by the time I had gotten up and out of my sleeping bag.
My stomach rumbled to remind me that I hadn't eaten since yesterday afternoon as I looked hungrily at the skewered fishes being grilled on the fire.
"Good morning! You should've woken me up, Jasmine. There's no need for you to do all of the chores on your own."
I turned my head to see Arthur rubbing his eyes.
"…I tried waking both of you up… But you wouldn't budge." Her half-closed eyes that give off an apathetic stare regarded us with concern. "If I didn't hear you breathing, I would've mistaken you for corpses."
"Haha…" Arthur let out an awkward chuckle. "I'm sorry, I really need to fix that."
"You and me both." I nodded. I usually woke up early on my own. But if I didn't, then nobody could wake me up.
After devouring the grilled fish for breakfast, we put out the fire. Using the nearby stream to wash myself and my clothes.
Arthur put on his mask and swords, well I wrapped my cloak around my shoulder, and placed my contents lenses in, assuming we'd go hunting for some mana beasts around the area, when Jasmine stopped me.
"Your opponent for these few days will be me."
"Huh?" I couldn't help but be surprised at the turn of events. We came all the way here to spar?
"This area is close to the dungeon we will be exploring, but for these days, I want you to focus on fighting me. I noticed that your fighting style seems… awkward at times. Like, you know it in your head, but your body doesn't listen to you… or something like that." She told Arthur and then turned to me, "You have your control down. But you need to focus on increasing your mana amount. We can stay in a dungeon for days at a time. So you're going to need to work on that."
Unsheathing her two daggers, she pointed one at me, continuing, "We won't use any kind of mana for these next few days while sparring."
I hadn't expected Jasmine to catch on to what I had been worried about, but it was a good opportunity.
"Good idea," Arthur replied, unsheathing his short sword.
I sat down on the grass, getting ready to meditate.
{Arthur's P.O.V.}
"Use your other sword…" Jasmine's eyes flickered toward Dawn's Ballad.
"How did you know this was a sword?" I wasn't planning on hiding my weapon from her but I was still caught off guard.
"Knowing you, that black stick should be something more than just a cane or a practice stick," she shrugged, walking a few steps closer to me.
Giving her a confirming nod, I tossed the short sword to Morgana, who caught it with her eyes closed. From my position, I could see the mana around us, begin to gather towards her.
As the sword soundlessly glided out from its scabbard, the translucent blade glowed a light teal as it reflected the sun's strong rays.
Holding it out in front me, I positioned myself. "Ready when you are."
"Y-Yeah," Jasmine stuttered as her eyes remained glued to Dawn's Ballad.
We dulled the edges of our weapons using mana before beginning. Without mana strengthening my body, I realised just how much I had been neglecting myself. After a few swings, my arms felt heavy and my legs trembled as they pushed feebly off the ground.
This was my mistake. I knew of the limits that my juvenile body had, but instead of trying to fix my shortcomings, I chose only to mask it using mana.
While magic in this world was capable of many things, it should be only used as a supplement to your abilities, not a replacement to cover them.
I lunged out with a sharp thrust aimed at Jasmine's sternum. Even though our swords were coated to prevent fatal injuries, it would still leave bruises and even broken bones if taken lightly; this made the sparring experience much more intense and real.
Jasmine swung her two daggers down in an outward arc, parrying my lunge and knocking the blade of my sword into the ground.
I brought my rear foot forward to maintain balance as my teal blade sunk into the ground below her. However, by that time, Jasmine had already brought her daggers back into position to follow up with a quick, downward slash.
Prying out my sword, I immediately pivoted my body to the side to avoid the overhead slash. As her daggers grazed harmlessly past my loose shirt, I kicked her arm away and stepped away into a more comfortable distance.
My arms were burning from the quick, consecutive movements as I positioned my sword in a defensive stance.
"It's my win," Jasmine said, sheathing her two daggers deftly into their scabbards attached to her thighs.
"You're right," I laughed as I dropped Dawn's Ballad on the ground. We had sparred for a little less than five minutes but my arms and legs screamed in protest from overuse. Massaging my forearms, I picked my blade back up and slid it back into its black sheath.
The duel had ended with me with the upper hand, but I didn't have the strength to proceed. It was my loss.
"Hey Jasmine, I think I'm going to need more than a couple of days to work this out," I confessed with a chuckle.
Her lips curled up slightly as she nodded in agreement.
I had three years before I'd attend Xyrus Academy. During my time at school, I would have plenty of chances to focus on studying mana.
I knew what my priorities were at this time.
Making a rough calculation in my head, I held up two fingers. "Two years, Jasmine. I'll dedicate two years to getting my body truly adjusted to sword-fighting without relying on mana."
"That's it?" she said, surprised.
"Just watch," I smirked.

A Butterfly bush is a really fast growing plant. I could have used weeds, but referring to an information network as weeds, doesn't sound nearly as nice.
Also, finishing school only takes about 6 weeks. So I didn't have to worry about that.
I get the whole bond system is a little confusing, especially with me throwing in mate bonds and secondary bonds. So if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Because I do have plans to keep using and referencing the bonds - so it would be easier for you guys and less confusing, if you know what's actually happening. (Or if your just here for the romance - I guess you can sort of skip it - though again - their is the mate bond)
I feel like I should give you guys a heads up, that the next chapter is going to likely be on the shorter side (and the two after that as well). But man will it leave a huge impact on you guys. I'm actually willing to bet the title of the next chapter alone would be worth the hype (and the happiness and excitement you would get from four pages - why four you asks, one page for each word in the title.)
In fact, here's a little teaser (Feel free to try and guess what may be happening, and the contents of the paper):
Next Time~
Morgana untied the bright red ribbon and uncurled the scroll.
Her eyes widened as they flew over the contents of the paper, before tears began streaming down her cheeks.
