i havent fully rewatched gravity falls as an adult like i did w adventure time uhh last year maybe? but ive been kinda surprised w eps ive seen of gf as an adult how much stuff actually aged more poorly than it did in adventure time. from what ive seen not like.. a LOT of stuff or anything but like. its noticeable that it exists at all

#specifically like some dialogue and jokes and stuff. overall its a good show just like #it comes from a very specific period of time that feels like its a lot more noticeable than adv time #like yeah adv time for sure was made in the time it was made. theres some stuff that like . streaming services did cut #from some eps when they put the show up. coughs the r sugar sections #but like overall adv time actually feels more successful to me in some ways w its VERY particular tone and writing #in a less.. sometimes mean spirited way than gf #like gf didnt have grossness in the way adv time did sometimes #but gf did have some like stuff that was pretty normal for 2012 to joke about that like hasnt aged well now #* saying gf feels somewhat more mean spirited tbc . not adv time #i dont think it was rly the ppl making the show as much as it was just . literaly hwta ppl thought was funny in 2012 #it did do some stuff rly successfully but theres stuff u just cringe a little bit at now #which i mean is ultimately a good thing like its good to recognize when things change and that some stuff just ppl dont SAY anymore #and for good reason
