something about trying to do it 'right' in life so you'll be good in the afterlife is like trying to do it 'right' as a child so you'll be good as an adult

like that sucks kids should be kids. kids who lose their entire childhood trying to be ready as adults just lose their childhoods

also trying to live 'with no regrets' is impossible because you never know what choices you'll regret having lost out on
