#like i appreciate the character and especially neil’s performance bc he does so well#making spawn and ascended so different#and i have no problem with people that like the character#but the ones that are hopped up on copium that insist that it’s NOT the bad ending for him?? that it doesn’t repeat the cycle of abuse??#and insist that he sees tav as an equal when the whole point is that he sees them as lesser than#you’re not his partner you’re his CONSORT you’re a treasure a possession for him to enjoy#he literally says your future is his to decide because the tadpoles are gone he can control you to do whatever he wants#he’s meant to become tav’s cazador; literally says NOT AGAIN when tav asks about freedom#acting like because he’s treating you better than cazador treated him there’s no problem at all but a gilded cage is still a cage#like enjoy ascended astarion all you want just don’t try and ignore everything around it that isn’t “hot sexy vampire lord jfc#anyways rant over#anti ascended astarion
