still kills me that some ppl are unsure if the cat in the wall metaphor was intentionally made to symbolize macden’s relationship cuz like…. they make it…. so… very… abundantly clear…. and then thats smth they make a point to bring up Repeatedly on the podcast

#like out of every sunny metaphor this is the clearest one LMAO #like down to the framing… in M&D Break Up while charlie talks abt the cat in the wall for the first time #there dennis is… in the bg…. framed as the cat in the wall they r talking abt…#then AGAIN in gets romantic (directed by glenn himself) when mac is giving his speech… we see the cat in the wall framing of dennis AGAIN #and i KNOW they were intentionally bringing s5 full circle cuz in the same episode they bring back that stupid basketball hoop that we #litrlly havent seen in macden’s apartment SINCE s5 and they put it in DENNIS’ room….#not to mention they hit u in the face w the cat in the wall shit in s15 #with the literal cat being trapped and dying in franks office #and then dennis saying he wants to hide behind a painting IN THE WALL and then COMING OUT OF A WALL…. like.
