thinking of making a reading list for next year

my goal is to read at least 12 novels and 5 short stories

re-reads of recently finished stories don't count as one of the 12 + 5

most of them will be books i already own, though i will try to make it diverse and have some variety

i will be doing dracula daily/re: dracula again

i want to start every month reading 1 novel chosen for that month, and if i finish it before the end of the month i can spend the remaining days reading other stories that are not on the list

statistically i'll likely end up reading more than 12 + 5 stories buuut

i want to take it slow and try to properly digest the stories, read a bit every day, write down my thoughts and favourite quotes in my new journal etc. might as well get the most i can out of the experience

honestly i'd rather read fewer books but really take my time with them. it makes sense to me and seems more sustainable
