despite my best efforts to purge all hp knowledge from my brain these past few years, i was super into it for a very long time, so like.....i keep thinking about the scene in 8x01 where we find out that chim & mara are super into the series now.

i have no idea if this was intentional on the writers' part, but i'm almost positive that the spells they referenced in that scene were NOT in the movies, which implies that they've been reading the books.

just. something to take note of. getting into a seven book series (especially when some of those books are like 500+ pages) is a HUGE time commitment. especially if it's something yall are doing together, like. as a bedtime story?? in little bits at a time??? you're signing up for MONTHS of reading. and i gotta wonder if the plan was to keep reading together after she moved back in with hen & karen or has chim already forgotten he should be preparing for that.
