I'd actually like to think Paldea IS drowning in legislation and such, and that Geeta's team is Like That because her job is 95% paperwork and zero time to formulate battle strategy.
oh my god and when gene gets there and starts dealing with that she has time to improve her team -- which is how she gets so much stronger in the dlc 👁️👁️

A week ago you'd been assigned to write an article about your school's soccer team, the Yellowjackets getting invited to play at nationals. It was such a big honour for all the girls on the team, but especially Nat. She was already thinking about the possibility of winning, making herself a name and maybe becoming a professional soccer player. As she daydreamed about her plans for the future you sat at her messy desk in a corner of her room, editing your article and occasionally turning around to see your girlfriend sprawled on the bed with a joint between her fingers.
“God Nat! Can’t you just go smoke outside?” you said between coughs, Nat unglued her eyes from the stained ceiling and looked at you with a smirk “Can’t handle a little smoke mh? What are you doing over there anyway?”
“Just going through some stuff for the article, you know the one about a soccer team called the Yellowjackets…not sure if you’ve ever heard of it” you joked, that caused her to softly giggle, getting up from her spot she leaned over your shoulder to see what you were doing, “Oh look that’s me!” she exclaimed as soon as she saw a picture of her running on the field.
“Mhm, do you like it?” you turned to Nat, waiting for her response as she looked at the pictures you had picked out.
“Of course, baby, I love it” she smiled
“Oh! That’s also me!” she said after noticing two other pictures of herself, in one she was holding up a small trophy the team got after winning a match while the other was just a silly picture you took of her before practice
“Yeah I thought those were nice!” you shrugged “Don’t you think you’re using too many pictures of me?” she asked and you thought about it for a second, maybe she was right…
“No problem, I developed some other pictures, we can just look through them, I’m sure we’ll find more pics of the whole team”
You grabbed the small pile of developed photos and began to look through them, Nat watching with her head on your shoulder.
“Baby…every one of these is of me,” she laughed. You moved to face the blonde, letting out a small huff as you thought.
“I could've sworn there were photos of everyone in here,” a small pout formed on your face when you realised you were going to need to take more pictures. Nat, noticing your expression, quickly took your face in her hands.
“Hey, it'll be ok. We can see if there's any photos from previous articles so you don't have to worry,” she pulled you into a hug, pressing kisses to the side of your head.
“Yeah, that could work!”
“See, I'm a genius,” Nat jokes, watching you laugh and roll your eyes.
“You love me”
“Of course I do, Natty,” you smiled as a blush creeper onto her face.

Part 2
Tumblr media
"You got any plans tonight?" Your friend asked as she made herself a drink.
"Yeah I actually do." She turned to give you a knowing look.
"Reading your dirty books and drinking wine is not plans." She scoffed as you rolled your eyes at her. She knew you all too well. "Let's go out tonight."
"I don't know." You groaned as you plopped down on the couch. Going out wasn't really your type of thing.
"You can touch yourself another night." She joked as you almost choked on your own spit.
"I don't do that." You exclaimed but she just scoffed at your response both you and her knowing that was the furthest thing from the truth.
"Everyone touches themselves Y/N." She gave you a look as she raised an eyebrow up. "It's perfectly normal and healthy."
Your friend had no trouble speaking her mind especially when it came to anything sexual. She literally had no filter and didn't care what she said. That's why you and her became best friends. She was the outgoing and spunky type of person, and you were a little shy and timid. Somehow it just worked out with you two.
"I don't need to do that anyway." Your voice became softer and quieter.
"Masturbation you can say the word out loud you know." She teased you watching you struggled to say the right words.
"Alright let's change the subject." She laughed at your response knowing which buttons to push.
She talked about sex so easily whereas you became flustered and uncomfortable. It wasn't a topic that came to you naturally or easily like it did her. You've had sex before but it was always so vanilla and boring. Which is why you just kind of gave up on the matter. No man being able to make you feel sexy or frisky.
"Okay let's go out tonight." She pressed again as you just sighed out loud. She wasn't going to give up.
"Nope." Popping the p looking at your phone.
"Come on bitch it'll be fun." Walking over to sit next to you.
"You know I don't exactly do well around..people." It was true every time you were around large groups of people you tended to make a fool of yourself. Sometimes unintentionally.
"When was the last time you went out?" She asked you. Looking down at the hands resting on your lap knowing she was right.
"I mean I go out." Shrugging your shoulders trying to dodge the question.
"Bitch please if you go out you go out with me." Laughing into her glass at your failed attempt to prove her wrong. "So like I said when was the last time you went out without me?"
Keeping silent of you started picking at your nails knowing she was right. You pushed yourself to go out more, but it never worked out the way you wanted. That's why you always went out whenever your friend invited you.
"Exactly." She sounded proud that she had a point. You just stuck your tongue out at her. "You only go out when it's with me."
"Well you're my best friend." You shot back but she wasn't buying it.
"Your my best friend too but I go out without you." She was making her case and you hated when she was right.
"Well we're different types of people." You stuttered that was the only thing you could come up with.
"I don't care you are going out tonight and that's final." She wasn't going to let up no matter how hard you tried. She'd drag you out if she had to.
Before you could rebuttal both of you heard what sounded like a big truck pulling up to your house. Getting up you walked over to the front window to see what was going on. Seeing a red Ferrari in the driveway of the house across the street, and a moving truck parking as close to the house as the could.
Immediately recognizing the man who stepped out of the Ferrari. Remembering you had seen him last week to close on the new house. What you really remembered though was just how drop dead handsome this man was. Your friend thinking they same thing too, as she practically was purring at the sight of him.
"Who is that?" She fanned herself making you giggle.
"I have no idea." You shrugged as your eyes remained glued to the man. "I only have seen him once last week."
What you didn't tell her though was how you couldn't get him out of your mind. That everytime you woke up you had hoped you'd see him again. Relying your time on seeing him, and even dolling yourself up a bit and sitting on the front porch hoping he would see you. Of course that didn't happen. Thinking a man like him would never go for a woman like you.
"And you didn't get his name?" She sounded offended and shocked. "I say we go over there and introduce ourselves."
"Are you crazy?" Stepping back to look at her with wide eyes. "We can't just go over there and talk to him."
"Ummm yes we can." She nodded her head not even bothering to look at you. "God he just looks like if sex were a person."
Y/F/N." You exclaimed lightly pushing her shoulder. "He's probably got a girlfriend or is married."
"Only one way to find out then huh?" Wiggling her eyebrows as she made for the front door not waiting for your response.
Following closely behind her as she strutted her way over, and you just kept cursing to yourself. Your nerves getting the better of you the closer you got. Wanting to just turn around and go back in your house to hide. Telling yourself he was going to be creeped out by the two of you, and not want anything to do with you.
Stepping on his driveway as you both stood behind him hearing your footsteps turning around to face the both of you. He looked a little surprised how swiftly you both approached him, but at least he smiled.
"Hi there you must be the new neighbor." She spoke first as you just stood almost behind her.
"How could you tell?" He sarcastically spoke looking as the movers carried boxes into the house.
"Just a hunch." She flirted as she stepped a little closer to him. His eyes focused on her as he would glance at you every once in a while. "I love you car by the way."
"Best purchase I've made." He turned to the shiny sports car that probably cost more than your house.
"Well I love these types of cars." Batting her eyelashes at him knowing she was already going to make her move. Given the fact that he clearly had money was an even bigger bonus for her.
Squinting your eyes as the sun started shining in your face, but that still didn't stop you from staring at him. Focusing on his massive arms as they bulged through his shirt. He was a very fit man, and you could only imagine what he looked like without a shirt.
"You must be the neighbor across from me." Of course he thought she was the one who lived there since he was interested in her.
"Actually I don't live here." She shook her head as a hand grabbed you toward her pull you closer. "But my beautiful friend here does."
"Hi." You waved awkwardly as he smiled so widely he showed off his straight whitened teeth.
"You must be the beautiful friend." Crossing his arms across his chest as his attention was on you now. "Oh the names Chris Evans should probably have said that."
"I'm Y/N and this is my friend Y/F/N." Introducing yourself his eyes not leaving yours.
"Well it's nice to meet you both." Coughing subtly as he realized he was just staring at you.
"The pleasure is all ours." Hearing as she deepened her voice. Trying to hold in the giggle that was bubbling in your throat.
"We're having a pool party tonight if you'd like to come." Your friend blurted at as you snapped your head to her.
"You have a pool?" He sounded excited and all you could do was just nod your head unable to find your voice.
"Oh yeah she has pool parties all the time." She continued on and you just turned to glare at her. "They are always a blast."
"She does look like a wild one." He winked at you feeling your cheeks starting to burn from embarrassment.
"I am not." You chuckled looking as innocent as you possibly could. He'd figure out real quick how shy and timid you exactly were.
"Oh yeah trust me Chris she's an animal." Placing an arm around your shoulder as he pulled you in flush against her. "She loves her pool parties."
"Can't say no to a pool party." He smirked already feeling himself getting hard at the thought of you in a bikini. "Any excuse to take these clothes off."
You weren't sure if he was just making those kinds of comments on accident, or if he was blatantly saying those things to get you all flustered. Either way he seemed like a guy that wasn't shy when it came to anything. He was definitely making you nervous.
"It'll start around eight you can just come in through the fenced gate the door will be unlocked." Not stuttering as she clearly made up this party at the last second. "You can bring your own food or liquor if you want."
"Yeah I might just have to make an appearance." Smiling as he glanced back at you as you returned the gesture then looking down at your feet.
"Okay then we'll see you tonight hopefully." Both of you started slowly walking backwards as you waved goodbye.
"What the fuck was that?" You grumbled as you both turned around heading back to your house. Chris still standing there looking as you walked away.
"What?" Looking at you with an innocent look damn well knowing what she was up to.
"A pool party?" You questioned her wondering how you were gonna be able to put together a pool party at last minute. "What happened to going out tonight?"
"Well fuck that we're having a pool party now." Stepping back into your house as you slammed your door shut. "So I'll gather a list of people to call and you just get the pool ready."
"I don't really feel like hosting a party tonight." Groaning at the thought of having tons of people in your house and then having to clean up.
"Oh babe you won't be hosting this party I will." She stated as you just raised an eyebrow at her. "You just need to focus on getting it in with the hot new neighbor."
"I'm not just gonna have sex with someone that I just met." You protested and she just rolled her eyes at you. "No matter how good looking he is."
"Drink enough and you will." She winked as she started going through her phone finding people to invite.
"I'm not that type of girl." You argued back not backing down.
"You need some good dick in your life." Stating her case as she gave you a certain look. "You'd be surprised what good sex will do to you."
"Then why don't you just have sex with him?" You joked but in all reality you started to feel a little jealous as you said that out loud.
"Please bitch I already get good dick you need it more than me." Unsure if you should be offended at her choice of words or thankful she was letting you have him. "Either way it's too late it's already been done."
It wasn't enough for her on pushing you to go out tonight, but now she had invited your incredibly attractive new neighbor to a last minute pool party at your house. Thank god she was your best friend otherwise you'd be super pissed at her. At least she was trying to help you find someone even if it was just a fling.
"Alright I'm gonna head to the liquor store, and bring you one of my bathing suits." Grabbing her purse as she got out her car keys.
"I already have a bathing suit." You defended.
"Yeah nothing sexy enough." She shook her head as she scrunched her nose.
"What do you mean not sexy enough?" Placing your hands on your hips as you glared at her offended. "You want me to just go nude?"
"Now there's an idea." Placing a finger under her chin as she seriously thought about it.
"I'm joking." Belting out a laugh as she saw the horror written across your face. "Okay bye bitch I'll be back later."
Shutting the door behind you as you stood there not knowing what to do now. Well looks like you were having a pool party at your house that your best friend made up, and your hot new neighbor Chris might be coming. This wasn't going to end badly at all.

Someone should write a cute short fic or drabble about Ianthony helping Erin get the car back ... ;);)
Ian and Anthony going with Erin to get her car is one of my favorite Smosh things that's happened recently! Love this prompt heehee! I don't remember if we know why Erin's car was in custody, and I'm not gonna look it up, here we go!
---
Erin paced furiously up and down the hallway, fingers flying on her phone. Tommy ducked out of the crying bathroom, giving her a nervous glance as he left. She seriously considered taking her own turn in the crying bathroom but didn't quite make it before another text came in from her mom.
"Where... is your car exactly..."
Not the ellipses! Erin couldn't handle this right now.
"The police station mom!! 😭" She sent the first text frantically, then continued, "They were cleaning the streets and they towed it!!! I didn't see any signs with warnings or anything!!!!"
"Well you're going to have to go get it..." Her mom replied.
"yesss, but how? It's like five miles away! In LA!!! I can't just walk over there! It would take a million years and I'd get hit by a car😭😭😭"
"Can one of your coworkers drive you there? ❤️"
Erin thought about it. Most everyone had a car, and it's not like she was new anymore, but it still felt a little presumptuous to ask anyone. The police station was 5 miles away and Google Maps was estimating nearly an hour-long drive due to traffic.
"I don't know, maybe. It's a lot to ask... long drive..." Erin texted back, throwing her mom her own set of ellipses. Payback.
"Ask around, honey, and it'll all be okay. Bring some money though, they're going to charge you to pick it up."
"😭😭😭😭" Erin responded, then put her phone screen to sleep. She rubbed a hand over her face wearily as she walked out of the hall back toward civilization.
"Everything okay?"
Erin abruptly stopped so she wouldn't run right into Ian.
"Oh god, didn't see you there!" She stepped back and looked up at him. Ian's eyes were betraying his concern even as his face maintained his regular placid expression. Erin wondered how close to tears she looked.
Ian raised his eyebrows.
"I'm all good," Erin assured him, "But, well, I'm just worried about my car."
More visible concern formed on Ian's face. "What happened to it?"
"It got towed cause they were cleaning the street," Erin sighed. "I've got to run," She continued, already starting to walk away from him, "Gotta ask around to see if anyone could drive me the five miles over there."
"Oh, alright, uh, good luck!" Ian called after her.
~~~
A few minutes later, Erin was still hand-wringing over who to ask first when she found herself cornered in the kitchen. Anthony was leaning on the counter in front of her while Ian hovered off to the side.
"I hear you've got a car emergency?" Anthony said, sympathetic smile on his face.
Erin blinked at him. "Uh, yeah?"
Anthony looked over at Ian. "How far did you say it was?"
"Five miles," Ian said lightly.
"Oh, only five miles," Anthony nodded his head. "Well," He looked back at Erin and waved a thumb between himself and Ian. "We'll take you there."
Erin gripped the counter behind her slightly, surprise and hope warring in her chest. "For real? It's like an hour drive."
"In LA at this hour? Yeah, I figured," Anthony gave her a reassuring grin. "It'll be fun!"
"An adventure!" Ian chimed in, "We can grab a Starbucks and everything."
Erin let out a relieved laugh. "That sounds amazing. Thanks guys!"
"Don't thank us yet," Ian said warningly, "I'm assuming you've never seen Anthony drive."
"Hey!" Anthony reached over and shoved him out of the kitchen, Ian obviously letting the push carry him further than necessary. Anthony looked back at Erin. "Don't listen to him, I'm a fantastic driver. C'mon, let's go!"
~~~
Erin stumbled out of the car, clutching her coffee. Let's just say, if she hadn't gotten used to her mother's wild driving as a child, she'd be a lot more traumatized right now.
"See, safe and sound!" Anthony declared, shutting his door.
"Makes you grateful you're about to get your own car back, huh?" Ian muttered to her as he passed, heading toward the door of the police station, matcha latte in hand. Erin stifled her giggle.
What followed was a boring string of bureaucracy, unimpressed expressions from the receptionists, and a fee larger than she'd hoped, but she'd finally succeeded in getting her car back.
Right as she was waiting for the clerk to approve the last of the paperwork, she snapped a surreptitious pic of Ian and Anthony. They were both leaning against a counter, looking down at their phones, so nonchalant in their willingness to be there for her. A bubbling feeling of warmth bounced around her chest. She couldn't imagine her bosses from any previous job caring enough to help her out with this.
Grinning at her phone, she typed out the caption: "& Ty to my smosh dads for helping me get my car back from the police <3"
She reached her phone out toward them from where she was sitting. "All good if I post this?"
They both looked over. Ian barked out a laugh while Anthony started grinning. "Go for it," Anthony waved a hand expansively while Ian gave a thumbs up.
Erin hit post right as the clerk called out her name.
The three of them walked back out into the warm LA afternoon.
"See you back at Smosh!" Ian called over, "If we make it back in one piece."
"You're a big baby." Anthony grumbled, though he was clearly laughing as he waved a goodbye to Erin.
"See you guys there!" Erin waved back as she got into her own car. She placed her hands on the steering wheel firmly and reveled in having her own car back. "What a relief," She sighed. Starting the car, she grabbed her phone as she let the air conditioning get started.
She had a single text message, from her dad.
"Oh, so one dad isn't good enough for you anymore? 😢 Haha, glad you got your car back honey."
Erin grinned, put the phone down and started the long drive back to Smosh.
---
Post-writing note: sorry to anthony and erin's mother in particular, I'm sure you're both great drivers irl lolol! Also in the course of writing this I found the real reason her car was impounded but im not changing it in the fic lmao. AU!Erin's car impoundment

abbott elementary season 3 ep 1 & 2 REVEIWWWWW
idk why but I thought y'all might wanna hear what I thought about the season premierrrrrr!!!! it was so good and so chaotic. so many things going on at once.
when Janine walked out and revealed as district, I HAD A HEART ATTACK. but then the context helped. im just a little confused because didn't the Manny the district guy say Janine could go back into her class 1-2 days out of the week to teach?? or was it just to go around about hearing feedback?? it was so sad to see Janine's kids not caring about her presence and the super mean substitute. But, that one little boy, Alex, made my heart just warm!!!! It just reminded Janine why she's doing what she's doing!!!
omg and Janine and Gregory?? the way Janine HAD THE CONFIDENCE to go talk to Gregory about her feelings at the beginning of the school year??? like where did that bravery come out of, and she handled the rejection so well. like honey. I would have DIED. but also.... the way Gregory just... moved on???? well, I get why. bro has to protect himself, but like come on greggy boy, don't tell me YOU DONT just feel a little of love for Janine???? but I love the way writers handled it at the end. they didn't leave the awkwardness for the season and that is something I APPRECIATE. and at least we know that Gregory and Janine still want to be friends and still miss each other platonically.
am I being paranoid for being scared of Manny the district guy???? Like my boy Jacob had a point. Manny WAS giving me some crush vibes and it doesn't help how nice and genuine he is. LIKE IM LITERALLY FALLING FOR HIM. and his mom was a teacher??? I would love to see him more, but just not as another pawn in Janine and Gregory's relationship. but, I knowwwww better. and my girl QUINTAAAA will make us wait.
I think Janine is getting really confortable and friendly with the district crew and it's kind of scary me because if she gets TOO comfortable, she won't want to leave. I think when the fellowship ends, they'll offer her a permanent spot on the team and she'll want to take it but still teach at abbott.
Barbara was so cute this episode, with her makeup. and with how honest she was to the district. as some who works at a high school and has been dealing with a particularly horrible district and administration, Barbaras words hit too close to home. but she realized that the whole district team is essentially just 4 Janines with the power and position to make things happen. and I think she's really opening up to relying on the district more.
omg my girl Melissa. honey., I was so scared every time Gary made a marriage joke. and when he proposed I HAD A HEART ATTACK AND FOR A SPLIT SECOND I THOUGHT MELISSA WAS GONNA SAY YES and the rest of the season would be wedding planning. but as embarrassing and heartbreaking as it was for Melissa, she stayed true to herself and was mature to end the relationship. and my girl just crying made me cryyyyy omg. she looks so sad even though she was the one to break up with Gary, AND I KNOWWWWWW SHE'LL STILL BE HEALING. I don't think this is the last well see of Gary since he goes to the school every Thursday, but I think it'll be the end of their relationship permanently. but now that Melissa knows fs was wants to date and knows she doesn't wanna get married, I think she's gonna be in her exploration phase. HOEEEEE PHASSEEEE. god please send Melissa a gay awakening PLEASEEEEE. she needs a rebound and no better rebound than a woman. that would be so fun and so true to her.
but yeah thats all I think so far. and it was a great epsidose and a great start to an already unpredictable season!!!

mommy? sorry.
AAAANYWAYS im in love, she and i are girlfriends and ning is our third shared girlfriend. and kazuha's my boyfriend.
cw: few sexual themes, stupid nicknames lmao, drunk beidou in the hcs, poly relationship w bei and ning, just some fun fluff
this woman oh my god she is so bossy but it's like a hot way ykwim like she'll order you around and you'll be like "yes mommy"
she uses stupid nicknames for everyone. shut up no one asked you.
beidou loves drinking, have you seen her??? ever??? sometimes though, she'll be drinking someone under the table and yeah her tolerance is huge just like her cock but she's still fucked up
you have to carry her home. no, no you have to. you're not weak, you're dating her. oh? you thought she was your big strong protector? no dumbass she's the one dragging you into shit and you get yourself out.
you two'll be out on some mission ning sent you on and beidou will be standing right next to a tripwire and she'll literally look right at it and be like "wouldn't it be funny if i tripped it?"
you have to either stare her down or beg to get her to not. one time she was going to waltz on into a fatui camp cause she thought it was funny and she could take them all (which she totally could but ning would crucify the both of you) and you went "i'll let you eat me out if you don't."
the way she got on her knees. this isn't even a joke i'm being fr she got on her knees and looked up with that starry look that screamed "i'm madly in love with you".
anyway, she would try to trip a wire on purpose and you'd be the one making sure she didn't try to face tank a bomb.
point is, you're strong and used to her. so you carry her back to whatever inn you're staying at and the entire time she'll be mumbling shit.
"mmmmhaha~! hi pumpkinn, how you doin'?" "ya'know what, we should get married in inazuma, 'cause eternity and shit! kazuha can be our flower girl!!"
"cherry berry sweetie pie?" goofy ahh nicknames left right and center. you knew beidou was about to ask something wildly stupid.
without looking up, you continued to rummage through the large pile of papers. who knew the fatui loved paperwork? "do not touch it."
"wha- you don't even know what i was gonna say!" "i know it'll be dumb and the obvious answer is no. don't trip any wires, don't pull alarms, nothing." "c'monn, this is so boring though! moralicious is just making us do this cause she's mad i let you finish and not her, even though SHE was the one who did without permission and-"
hearing a noise, you pulled her to the entrance, hiding on the edge and covered her mouth. "mmph-!" "shh." you whispered straight into her ear, keeping an eye on the entrance to the cave the two of you were searching. "someone's coming."
beidou pulled your hand off, sticking her tongue out at you. you stayed unfazed, keeping a hand on your dagger. she noticed, and saw a little tassel charm on the handle. the charm was the one she gave you!!
"you kept it!" "bei', shut up. you'll give us away ag-"
"HEY! WHO'S IN THERE?!"
"..shit." laughing, beidou stepped out into the entrance and drew her greatsword.
"come and get me!"
you sighed and pulled out your sword, realizing you two were not getting out of this with just one casualty. she was going to get herself injured just for the fun of it and you gotta clean up the pieces, but it's okay because you secretly enjoyed it too.
but ning was not very happy.

the start of a new eddie x reader fic im working on <3 reader x eddie munson, shes just trying to find herself and instead finds herself with a big ol crush on eddie. hope you all enjoy!! cross posted to ao3
mainly fluff, drug use, explicit language, Eddie is a softy
✦•······················•✦•·········
Sigh. Eddie Munson. Throwing a fit in the cafeteria yet again.
You watch on from your spot at the table across from his, all eyes on Eddie “the freak” Munson, ranting on about something to do with popularity and parties. If your younger friends weren't hanging onto his every word then you probably wouldn't of even paid him any attention, but there's something about him that makes you want to listen as well.
Robin nudges you, breaking you out of your trace.
“Are you okay? You're full on space cadet again.” she whispered, Eddie's rant cooling down in the background.
“Yeah no I'm okay..” you trailed off, your mind everywhere else but here. Wishing you were as brave as Eddie was to stand up to assholes like Jason Carver.
“You know we're all still worried about you after everything.. I just.. I just wanna make sure you're okay..”
Am I okay? After everything me and her went through just a few months ago? Somehow after being kidnapped by the Russians and the absolute batshit revelation that nothing we thought could ever exist actually does exist, she's cool as a cucumber. She's my best friend. I've always admired how much of a badass she is. But God dammit I am so jealous of how she can just compartmentalize everything. I know she's freaked out as well but she's been handling it so much better than me.
Me, I'm a mess. My body hurts all the time. Fighting the Mind Flayer, I broke every bone in my leg. Spent the rest of the summer on bed rest. Just me, my art supplies and some music. I wasn't always alone but trying to do anything fun this summer was impossible. Robin came over every day trying to get me to come outside with her. I just couldn't. I watched people die. This isn't something I could bounce back from. Me and her had so many long nights talking things out, laying in the grass in my backyard, staring at the stars, knowing nothing is ever going to be the same.
And being drugged! There's nothing that's strong enough to get me back to that high. I've been smoking pot like it's going out of style. I've actually contemplated asking Eddie if he has anything stronger…
“Robin, I'm fine.” I spat out. Realizing I probably sounded a little too hateful towards her I turned her way, giving her a little hug and whispering back at her “I'll tell you about it later.” faking a smile I pulled away and thanked the school gods that the bell was ringing.
*************************************
I drive Robin and I home from school every day so as I'm waiting for her near my beat up car the guys ran over to talk a little bit and tell me about the new club they're in, Hellfire.
“It's so BITCHIN! Eddie is so awesome. Dungeons and Dragons is actually way cooler than you would think, maybe you should come watch us play sometime” Dustin is practically screaming at me with excitement. I can't help but laugh.
“We're having a campaign in a few nights, you should come join!!” Mike chimes in.
Ever since summer and the…incident.. the boys have been more than welcoming of you and Robin into their little secret club of the upside-down. It's nice, having a new group of friends since it's basically just been you and Robin since elementary school. Even if you are all trauma bonded from that fateful night.
“Maybe I'll go and just watch… it'll get me out of the house” you said half seriously. Just as the words slip out of your mouth you notice that Munson had creeped into the conversation.
“Oh really? You're gonna come watch us play?” He laughed as he said it.
“I might come to support my boys.. If they're this excited about it then I might as well see what the big deal is” you say, staring down Eddie. He's looking at you. Just staring as well. It's like a game of who is gonna break first. You're observing him, seeing how he's going to react to what you just said. It's like a superpower, being so observant it might kill me one day.
“Alllrighty then! We'll see you there!” He winks at me when he says that. He's so loud when he talks. Takes up the whole room. Im both annoyed with it and admire that about him.
Him and Robin pass each other as he walks away, her giving me that look that says me and her need to have serious girl time. The boys said their hellos to her as well and then were on the way back to my house.
It's not like my parents were ever home so we usually had the house to ourselves. This time it's a two week long business trip to try to promote their new children's book. They thought that when I came home with a shattered leg that a new book would cheer me up.. but I'm not a kid anymore. I'm 18 and my life has just gotten more complicated.
“So she's so so so fucking pretty and she's got the most beautiful red hair and I don't know I just think she's the most wonderful person in the world and I'm so scared to talk to her, what do I even do? How do I even talk to a girl like her? I just-” Robin rambles, I have to cut her off though or her rant will go on the entire time we're in the car, I don't know how she doesn't pass out from lack of oxygen sometimes when she talks.
“Robin!” I scream playfully. “YOU are the most badass woman I know! You are going to march up to Vickie tomorrow and just talk to her! You don't need to go full lesbian detective on her in one conversation but don't be scared! If you're scared, how am I ever going to confidently talk to another cute boy again knowing my best friend turns into a babbling mess when it comes to this?” I punch her arm lightly while finishing up my rant.
“You're right.. I just… I don't know I'm a mess! She makes me a mess!”
You're both laughing as you get into your house. An empty feeling lingering in the air as you walk into the bare home. Or maybe it was just you who felt empty. Running up to your room, Robin trailing behind by just a step, giggling to each other, I took out my secret stash of pot and began rolling up a nice joint for the two of us to share. It was your ritual, coming home with or without Robin, rolling up and climbing out your window to the roof to think and smoke and forget about the day.
“Okay, so what was that all about in the cafeteria earlier?” Robin says between coughs. She's still new at the whole smoking thing so it’s funny to hang out with her while she's stoned.
“I was listening to Munson speak!” I threw my head back and practically yell with fits of laughter between each sentence. “Sometimes I wish I had the confidence that he has to just stand up in front of the whole cafeteria and yell at Jason. Or the confidence that you have every day after everything we’ve been through. I think I've just been struggling so much lately that seeing the strength in everyone else just makes me a bit jealous I guess.”
“Do you have a crush on Eddie Munson?” she asks, giggling
“No!” I protested a little too much “I don't even really know him to have a crush on him. I don't know! I think he's cute and all but…” She cuts me off immediately
“YOU have a crush on Eddie Munson!” She's basically howling with laughter at this point. I don't even know if I have a crush on him. Maybe if I got to know him or talked to him then who knows! I'm in my head but I can feel a hot flush come across my face and she can definitely see it.
“I don’t! I think I do want to talk to him though. Maybe it’ll be good for me right? Instead of just staying home all the time, I think I’m gonna go out to that Hellfire meeting. Watch the boys play. They seem really excited about it so why not?”
“Alright! But I have band practice so I’m not coming with. You’ll have to tell me all about it when it’s over though!”
*******************************
I walked up to the door with the boys in tow, it’s Hellfire Club night and I guess I’m here to watch them play for the night. I think I’m really here because I want to observe Eddie some more. Ever since the other night with Robin, I can’t stop thinking about him. I don’t even really know him either. All I know is from what I’ve heard from other people and what I’ve seen of him already. He’s loud. Obnoxious. Worships Satan maybe? That I don’t really believe. With the way the whole world is about rock music nowadays, he’s probably just a softy in a leather jacket. I probably don’t look that saintly either way. I practically live in my flannel and I listen to the same music as him, I’m just not that open with it.
Walking into the room it’s dark and eerie and I kind of love it. The boys go and take their spots at the table while Eddie sits atop this makeshift throne. The king of Hellfire. I laugh to myself as I take everything in, not noticing that all other eyes are on me. I’m the only girl who’s probably ever set foot into this club so that should be expected. Everyone’s eyes make me uncomfortable except his..
“Welcome! To the Hellfire Club. I will be your host tonight, Eddie Munson!” He says with a bow and this smile that makes my stomach fill with butterflies. Why do I suddenly have feelings? What changed all of a sudden? He continues, “Tonight is a very special campaign.. We have a guest!” He gets up from his throne and comes my way. I tried to take a seat away from the table so that I could just watch them play but I guess that’s not happening anymore. All eyes are back on me. Eddie crouches down and puts his face next to mine from behind. “Boo! Hope we don’t scare you away tonight. Maybe it would be nice to have a pretty girl around here. Make us look a little less, what do they say, satanic? Or maybe you’ll become one of us!” He stands up, “Who knows what could happen on this fateful night!” He wanders back to his seat as he starts the campaign. Mike, Dustin and Lucas looked so ecstatic to be there. It’s like they finally reignited their passion for DnD and they all loved their little ringleader Eddie. I enjoy seeing them happy so I just tried to sit back and watch and enjoy the games.
******************************************
The boys were so close to defeating something named Vecna when the game ended for now. I guess these games last for more than one session? For some reason I was thinking it was like Monopoly. I didn’t know this could last for weeks. Now that I’m invested I have to come back and watch the rest.
“We are so CLOSE!” Dustin and Mike screeched with excitement simultaneously. I’ve noticed that Lucas has been a little distant from the other guys lately, probably has something to do with him joining the basketball team. They’re all basically bouncing out the door. I promised that I’d drive them home after the game so they didn’t have to bike all the way home. It was raining tonight, my leg aching any time the clouds decided to roll in. But I don’t mind doing it for them. Their joy rubs off on me at times.
“Wait up!” Eddie calls towards us. The rest of the group had already left but the boys wanted to talk with him after the game while he cleaned up. “So, what’d you think of the campaign? A little too spooky for you? You coming back?” He said a little too quickly, his eyebrow raising at the question.
“I think I might, I think I’m invested in this whole Vecna thing. Plus I kind of want to see the boys kick your ass in the end” A chorus of “oooo’s” coming from them behind me.
“We’ll just have to see about that then won’t we?” His tone changes. Playful but there's something behind it I just can’t put my finger on right now.
The boys are bouncing ahead to my car while I stay back with Eddie a moment under the awning of the school. “Can I ask you something? I know you sell pot Munson. I think the whole school knows at this point..”
His ears perked up at the mention of drugs and he looks at you incredulously, “Okay, so what if I do? Someone like you buying?”
“Well yeah, ever since this summer I’ve taken it up. Anyways, I went through some shit, I don’t need to tell you the whole story, but I’ve been looking for something.. stronger? For the bad days..” I’m looking at my shoes at this point. I don’t even know what came over me to even think that Eddie would help me out with this.
“Stronger you say?” he replies, “I think maybe I can get you something stronger. I can probably get you better pot than the shit stuff you’re probably buying too” He laughs at me. “Wanna swing by that spot in the woods tomorrow after school and I’ll see what I can come up with?”
“Yeah I think I can do that.” I’m really trying to hide the blush that I can feel creeping across my face right now. He’s staring at me again. This time I think I can see some awe on his face? Did I just surprise Eddie Munson? I turn quickly so he can’t see the silly smile that’s about to sprawl free, “Thanks Eddie! See you tomorrow!” I wave and hurry to the car. The boys lost in the excitement of the night to even have noticed my absence for a minute there.
**********************************
The end of the day can't come quick enough. All I've been thinking about during my classes is him. He's hard to figure out. The way he so elegantly commanded the night last night during Hellfire was almost breathtaking. I could hang on every word that he says. The winks and the smiles every time he talked to me. The way he called me pretty. Everything that he does gives me butterflies and I don't think I've ever felt this way before in my life. But I have a mission. Go and meet him in the clearing in woods behind the school after the last bell rings. I wonder what he has in store. Robin already knows I'm meeting up with him after school and I've already been teased relentlessly, but she thinks I'm just going to buy some pot. Nothing else.
I haven't even had time to tell her all the juicy details of the night. There wasn't even anything really juicy, but she would find something out of what I say. She knows me better than anyone else.
I practically sprinted from my last class of the day to the clearing. There's a little picnic bench there and so I laid on top of it, Walkman blaring some Metallica and waited for Eddie to arrive. Other people using the woods and a cutaway gave me some weird looks but I don't really give a shit. As long as Eddie doesn't stand me up I'll be okay.
I'm lost in thought, jamming out, and something eclipses the sun that's been gently kissing my face with its warmth. Rude. I open my eyes and there's Eddie, late, but that's okay. He's looking at me smiling and I have to compose myself.
“Finally, thought I was gonna fall asleep laying on the table” I say coily, sitting up and taking off my headphones.
“I had to make sure no one else was here, you know what we're doing is kinda frowned upon in these parts.” he replied, tapping on his lunch box full of goodies.
“Okay Munson let's see what you've got”
“Ah ah ah, first, I wanna know a little bit about you. You've been a mystery to me ever since I saw you hanging around my little lame friends” he said endearingly enough. “I heard you were there…at the mall that night.. is it true?”
“How… how did you hear about that?”
“Doesn't matter how” he unlocks the lunch box, sitting across from me, our legs almost touching under the table. He pulls out a joint and lights it, offering me the first hit. I gladly take it, I think I'm gonna need it if I'm gonna talk to him. My nerves are already full of electricity from being near him, if I'm actually going to talk about myself I have to be completely zapped.
“Okay then yes. I was in the mall that night.” I take a long drag and blow the smoke towards him, a new found confidence of being stoned making me want to flirt with him. “That's how I shattered my leg. I don't know if you noticed but when the clouds are out, I'm usually in hiding. The rain really fucks up the pain in that leg… shit this is good pot” I exhale again, this time not blowing the smoke directly at him but up in the air. I'm trying and I think failing to have a mysterious aura around me. There's something about him that makes me wanna give up all my secrets.
“Shit sweetheart, that's gotta be rough…” a silence fills the air before he breaks it again. “So! I have a whole array of stuff here for you. You said harder so I pulled out all the stops for a pretty girl like you. Honestly I'm just more curious about how bad things can be that you're asking me for help with all this.” He looks hurt in a way as he says that. Like somehow I'm too good to be around someone like him. Little does he know we may be way more alike than he thinks.
“Hey no trauma dumping onto you until date number two.” That spilled out my mouth before I could even realize what I said.
“So this is a date huh? I should've worn some fancier clothes then. Maybe brought you some flowers instead of a whole lunch box of drugs. Unless you're into that sort of kinky stuff” he said with a wink.
I burst out laughing. I couldn't help it. This pot is actually really fucking good and it's already gotten to me.
“Eddie.. Im sorry.. I don't mean to laugh but I think I'm so blazed and my lame attempt at flirting with you doesn't seem like it's working” I giggle
“I think it might be.” He moves closer to me, his elbows on the table, face getting closer to mine as I'm sitting there laughing with him across from each other.
“Do you really wanna know more about me Munson?” I replied in a lower tone. Trying to make my voice more sultry, flirty.
“I want to know every part of you.” he said breathlessly, closing the gap between us, hand gently cupping my face and kissing me, gently as I've ever been kissed, I melted into his touch.
After a moment he stopped, head still in his hand, him looking at me like he did the first time we really saw each other. It's an emotion I don't think I've ever seen before in someone like this. He's being genuine.
He let's go, clearing his throat as he does so.
“I'm sorry if that was out of line… If you wanna just be business associates that's cool.. if you wanna be friends that's cool with me too”
I look down, unable to look at him in the eyes right now. That was the best kiss I've ever had. It was so intimate. Respectful. Just everything that I thought that it would be. My brain went completely quiet the moment his lips locked onto mine and I haven't had the peace of silence in a very long time…
“Eddie I…. I don't know what I want right now. I came here wanting drugs. To find something that would make me feel something other than this empty sadness that has taken over my body like a parasite… and then you come along and somethings different. I want to know you. I want to learn everything about you. I am so fucking blazed right now and I can't believe the guy I have a crush on just gave me the kiss of a lifetime”
He's looking at me all smug. With a half cocked smile he leans back on the bench to give us some room. I'm scared if we didn't have this bench between us we might be getting arrested for public indecency. God I love his smile.
“You know you're not gonna scare me away with whatever you say, I really do wanna know you. I know I come off as this.. asshole.. but that's not all me. I'm an open book and I wanna help you out” he's sincere with his words.
I sigh, “Before anything else tumbles out of your mouth, whattya got for me?” I try to change the subject.
“Oh okay..” He sounds disappointed that I switched the conversation back to the drugs, the only thing that would make me feel something other than him. People leave. Especially when they see who I really am.
“I didn't know what vibe you were going for so I brought it all. Personally I think you should try some acid first. It'll help you let go, process your feelings and be raw and honest. If you're looking for something more numbing and less fun I have some opium but I don't recommend it. Made me sick so I haven't gone back. Last resort and you don't want to remember anything I have quaaludes...”
"Will you pick for me Eddie?” I say innocently.
“ I think you should try acid, I'll even trip sit you if you want.” He pauses, “It'll let you have fun and let go. I promise I'll be there with you through the whole experience if ya want.”
“Then I'll take some. I don't know when I'm gonna do it you know… but I'll call you before I do..” Things have gotten a little awkward. Why do I mess things up like this?
This confident boy I always see looks so rejected at the moment. I need to fix this before I just take the drugs and leave..
“Hey Eddie…”
“Yeah?”
“I really like you. I just don't know how to open up anymore after this summer. I do really wanna get to know you though. “ I nervous giggle as the words fall out my mouth.
“ I like you too sweetheart. Maybe when you trip you'll loosen up a bit and tell me more about you. I wanna know what makes you tick. “ He leans in again on the table. I find myself getting closer as well. My hand reaches for his long curly hair. Oh God I'm so blazed I just want to touch him.
I kiss him this time. The damn table getting in the way of how I really want to touch him. Fuck it. I'm crawling over.
Making my way over the table to close the gap between us, he breaks the kiss to smile at me. I don't even care how ridiculous this is, I don't want any space between us right now. Crawling into his lap he's still being a gentleman, even with our tongues dancing together. I can't get enough of him. He's holding me in his arms, my hands tangled in his hair. This is not the boy that everyone thinks they know. Under all that scary exterior, he's just a big softy.
I pull away from the kiss. I can barely breathe at this point. “Eddie..” I can barely get the words out of my mouth. “I gotta go…” His face is buried in my hair. Still holding me to him.
“Don't wanna let go..”
I try to get up but he's holding me firmly in his lap.
“Eddie, I gotta go get Robin from band practice..”
“Fine. I'll let you go princess.” I get up from his lap, pulling a mirror from my bag to make sure I don't look so wasted to go pick up Robin. I turn back to him and can't help but let a big goofy smile out, his face reflecting right back to mine.
“Acids on the house by the way” His foot digging into the ground like he's trying not to do twirls right now. “And you better call me when you wanna do it. Me and you aren't finished talking yet. You got a pen?” I grab one from my bag and he quickly writes his number on my arm.
I kissed him one last time on the cheek. If I kiss his soft lips again I'll never leave.
“I'll call you tomorrow Eddie”
I can't fucking wait to see him again.

Ah can finally reply! Please don't feel rushed to reply right away either, I understand if your busy! :)
Oh I like both options for her! Though her considering herself a Tully first, but still taking the Bracken side in petty disputes is pretty fun! XD Little Samwell being a mama's boy and taking being a big brother so seriously is just the most precious thing! I also love her validating his feelings and trying to teach him there's nothing wrong with befriending a Bracken, she down't want her son dragged down by all the needless hate and rivalry!
Oh what a terrible death he'd loose her too! I can understand lord Blackwood's grief, that he would even prey to the seven for his wife to recover, but no good sees fit to show mercy..and her death even shaking his faith in his own gods! He'd be feeling bitter, angry, & lost while deep in grief and needing someone to blame. Blaming the Brackens in any way he can can't hurt her now, so he grasps onto it! Blaming their clearly cursed blood for the old gods cruelty. And as much sympathy I have for him, it go's out the window as soon as he slaps little Willem! In his anger & grief he forgets his sons just lost their mother as well and need him, it shows his selfishness, his dark streak, that Willem will sadly end up inheriting :(
Ooh I love that being told to the Blackwood children! Makes so much sense it would have been taught in the past, when taking back the north could have been a real possibility! And even if the current adults would know it'll never happen, it's still a good lesson to the children in their eyes, reminding them to have pride & stay strong.
Ah this is a good idea~ Love the detail of how the Starks wouldn't tolerate a Blackwood marrying into house Bolton under their noses! They likely keep the Blackwoods out of the north pretty damn strictly for a few generations at least. The Brackens however are free to marry into any northern house they please, and the Boltons becoming such good riders through them is a nice touch!
I can't say how much I love Samwell looking at Amos and thinking "yeah he's the one who'll fix my brother" And him comparing Willem to a horse to Amos, he knew what he was doing XD Amos just praising Willem until he fools himself into believing it! How could Willem have reacted when Amos first starts praising him? Love Amos putting his foot down and holding to his threats too.
Damn they make the most of their time together for sure! Can't blame them though, as both get older they likely have fewer chances to get away from praying eyes, especially with Amos being heir.
Oh poor Samwell & Willem D= I do really feel for Willem's heartbreak & regret…but at the same time knowing what he'll later do, it conflicting. If only he could have moved on and tried to find love again, maybe he could have healed. Him burning the letter isn't a good look, but kind of understandable? Not him pushing Davos to fight the Brackens though.
And poor Davos, fearing he'll be made a Rivers again if he dosn't make Willem proud, and all it earned him was holding his love as he died in his arms :'( Him then lashing out in grief and taking his anger at himself & Willem out on Raylon sadly makes sense, and that he can't bring himself to hurt him the way Willem wants him too is at least a small mercy. I can't imagine how much worse it'd be for Raylon if his beloved cousin's own lover was the one to use him in such a way and betray Aeron's memory.. And Raylon lashing out right back at him! Because how dare he act as if being captured like this would have been any better a fate for Aeron?? If he'd call Davos a powerless coward & Willem an evil bastard then it'd be pretty well deserved =/
Poor Amos, he could handle personal torment at Willem's hands, or at least he'd try to bare it for his house's sake..but the thought of Willem becoming a lord to his house would torment him so much more. And what reason would he have to believe the Tully's would refuse such a request after he fought for Aegon? He could still have hope once they get to Harrenhall that he could convince lord Tully to take his head instead, to spare his house from Willem and free himself in a way, only for it all to blow up in Willem's face!
And poor raylon too, it couldn't have been easy on him to admit what was done to him, in front of all the Riverlords & his father at that! D= Love Amos wishing he could have killed Willem himself.
Ooh I love the change of Oscar being the one to send Raylon back to Stone Hedge for his own protection! A little hint of Oscar/Raylon perhaps? ;3 (i'm loving all these new little ships for oscar btw! benjicot, aeron, & now raylon x3 ) And him choosing to send Davos with him as a hostage is a good choice! Imagine once they get to Stone Hedge, Davos is just waiting for the guards to come in and hurt him like Raylon was hurt, assuming he'd want revenge? Only it never happens, Raylon later visits him and claims he refuses to stoop as low as that monster Willem?
Oh np! Heh the punishment would really be more for Aeron loosing his temper & acting in anger than fucking Davos, we know they Brackens don't play when it comes to that anger! And Davos yelling about how he's a man grown while laying over Amos's knee is just too funny x3 And the comforting hug afterwards, you know Davos nearly tries to brake out of it, out of pride if nothing else, but gives in and just choose to enjoy being close to Aeron while it lasts.
1) Oh yeah it'd be a real act of arrogance to leave a Bracken in the Blackwood stables! But to be fair lord Blackwood would never expect his own sons of helping their captive escape >w> And got to respect Willem's audacity, "i'll only help you escape if i get to fuck you" like damn…he's lucky Amose would find him cute enough to just take up the offer and not give him a well deserved punch to the face. Pff imagine part of Amos agreeing is him just going "fine, take me right here and now in front of your brother & horses if you dare!"  He'd just be calling Willem's bluff, doubting he'd actually follow through..which would be his mistake.
2) To think of how relaxed & at peace Amos & his wife would have been during that picnic, just enjoying rare time together with their little baby :'( And Willem having it in him to feel horrified not just for Amos but his wife too, shows that he wouldn't have sunk too deeply into his own darkness at this point. I imagine he keeps Raylon close to Raventree Hall as he grows up, not wanting the Brackens to get a good look at him & become suspicious. Oh and once Davos starts meeting up with Aeron, even he would notice all the little similarities and begin having questions?
That's actually one thing I love about the show, is how damn good they are at making the characters truly look related! Like while Raylon dosn't have the sterner nose & jaw of Amos, he does have his wavy hair.  He also has a similar nose & high cheekbones to Aeron, along with his long-ish hair. Or course Aeron ios still prettier , but Raylon is cute enough!
And thank you for discussing so many ideas with me! It's been so fun talking about them with you! :D
Grab some snacks this is another long one. Lady Tully/Bracken/Blackwood and her mom kind of got away from me. Kind of like a wild horse who didn’t want to be tamed……oops and uh Samwell and Willems fucked up childhood also got away from me. This a monster of a reply. Sexual assault mentioned, physical and psychological abuse. Rambling middle part. Mentions of sex. Older brackenwood, some Davron, some Oscar x Raylon and Raylon x Davos. Oh yeah child abuse. Read at your own risk.
It’s the only way that lord Blackwood can stomach being married to a Bracken, half her blood is diluted by Tully blood. But much to his surprise he also loves the wild stubborn streak that she gets from her Bracken mother. Her mother didn’t talk to her father for weeks after the betrothal was announced between her baby girl and a Blackwood. Her mother might’ve pulled her aside and told her if lord Blackwood ever hurt her, all she needed to do was slit his throat in his sleep. The soon to be new lady Blackwood was horrified by that thought, she didn’t want houses Tully and Bracken to fight her husband’s house. She knows it would cause a full out war in the River lands.
Anyway back to lord Blackwood, it takes him half a year to fall half in love with his wife, she really cements his love for her when she gives birth to Samwell. She not only gave him an heir but she gave him a prefect mix of them both, baby Samwell has his dads light brown hair with the undertones of red in certain lighting, he also has his mothers deep blue eyes; when grows up his hair starts to gently curl again pulling from his Tully side. Lord Blackwood had never seen a more beautiful baby, he also makes a vow to try and only show his light side to his baby.
Three years later she’s pregnant again, but this pregnancy is harder than it was with Samwell. Toddler Samwell picks up on his dad’s worry about his mother, and decides that he’ll just be near her the whole time he’ll protect her from anything bad. Plus he gets to constantly talk to the babe in her womb telling it that yes the world is scary but he’ll protect them at all costs. Samwell was the only one with his mom when her labors started, she knew he was terrified so she told him to go find his father and the maester that he would be the most helpful big brother/son if he could do that.
Samwell finds his father outside talking with the scouts, the Brackens had been accused of sneaking into the Blackwoods lands and hunting. Samwell normally would hesitate to interrupt his father, but he knows his mom needs him to be a brave boy and interrupt his father. Lord Blackwood is pissed that Samwell is pulling on his shirt like he does with his mother’s skirts. He goes to slap Samwells hand away when he notices the fear on his face, and asks him what’s wrong, just thinking that he’s too much like his mother. When he hears that his wife is in labor and is asking for him and the maester, he sends a scout to fetch the maester. Also for the first time since Samwell was a one year baby does lord Blackwood pick him up, he justifies it his mind by saying that the toddler can’t keep up with his longer strides and time is of the essence.
By the time lord Blackwood and Samwell reach the birthing chambers the maester is already inside and the scout is outside telling lord Blackwood he’ll watch little Samwell. Lord Blackwood readily agrees and Samwell goes to the training yard where he’s given his first wooden sword so he can start practicing his swordsmanship, which in turn will enable him to protect the babe better. Back in the birthing chambers the maester, has figured out why this labor is harder on lady Blackwood, the babe is coming feet first. He offers to cut her open to get the babe out faster, and to put her out of her misery, but thankfully lord Blackwood won’t have it and says if he suggests that again he will kill him.
In the very early morning hours, two loud cries and one soft cry could be heard. Willem had finally made his entrance crying and red faced, lady Blackwood is crying from the pain and joy of finally getting to hold her new baby and well if the maester saw lord Blackwood wiping tears from his eyes no he didn’t. It’s only after he gets to hold Willem does he realize that the only thing he inherited from his mother is light blue eyes, but even then his eyes have some of the brown from him. Willems hair is just light brown and as he grows it won’t curl like Samwells. Since Willem looks so much like himself, he’s going to be more active in raising him to be a true Blackwood. Yes Willem still has some gentleness from his mother, along with her wild Bracken streak, but the gentleness won’t last.
Samwell is proud to be a big brother, but is also worried about his mother’s health. He’s not a stupid little boy, as him and Willem grow stronger with each passing year, their mother only grows weaker. Deep in his heart lord Blackwood blames Willem for causing her Bracken blood to curse her health. He prays everyday for years at the heart tree, asking the old gods to return her back to health. But it’s not time for them to worry yet.
On the good days lady Blackwood takes her sons close to the Bracken borders and shows them the other Bracken kids play just like them, so they’re not scary after all. It works well with Samwell, especially since they both know that he’ll soon be forced to stand watch at the borders. But Willems darkness is starting to swallow the light in himself, Willem is told he is a Blackwood and to not trust a Bracken daily by his father. Willem is lord Blackwoods shadow, just like Samwell is lady Blackwoods.
When Samwell turns 9 he is sent with Blackwood guards to stand watch for the first time at the borders. That’s when Samwell meets Amos, he knew that little Amos was a Bracken but he just saw a child get bucked off a pony while the adults were busy yelling insults at each other. So Samwell does the only thing he knows what to do, which is channel his inner big brother ways and goes to see if the little Bracken is okay. Once he gets Amos to calm down, he tells him that he just wants to make sure he wasn’t severely injured, he sees a minor cut but knows he can’t help too much so he tells the adult Brackens that Amos just fell off his horse and has a cut. They thank him for altering to his cut, and take Amos away to be thoroughly checked over by their maester.
Samwell tells his mother about how he helped a Bracken today while he was on guard duty. She tells him she’s proud of him, and maybe he could be become a big brother figure to the little Bracken. Samwell agrees because he felt that the little Bracken needs someone to talk to that’s close to his age. So Samwell and Amos spend the next year befriending each other, Amos rides close to the border to practice his skills and get encouragement from someone outside of his house. The month after Samwell turns 10 is when his mother’s sickness gets worse.
Lord Blackwood spends all of his free time praying at the heart tree, when that doesn’t work he goes to the sept to pray maybe the seven will save her. It takes another month of her suffering for her to die. Samwell is old enough to know that death is permanent so he knows that she’ll never come back. But Willem doesn’t understand the permanence of death, so he asks his father when his mother will wake up. With his wife dead lord Blackwoods light is gone. His faith in his gods is shaken and now he knows that the Brackens new gods are useless. That they have cursed through Brackens into weakling. So when Willem asks about his mother and gets slapped Samwell pulls him aside to comfort him. Willem doesn’t cry he won’t let his Bracken blood take over.
The last merciful act he gives his wife is to bury her body outside the sept, a loc of her hair in front of the heart tree and burns her favorite dress in the way of house Tully.
Lord Blackwood also teaches his sons the history of their house. That they came from the north, they were Kings until the Starks kicked them outand so they have to be tough, proud and angry. The other northern houses won’t tolerate a weak house like the Brackens. Also they must never give up the old gods, like the Brackens did. And although Brackens are allowed to marry northern does not make them better.
So when Samwell is 13, he’s deemed old to really start learning how to rule his house he’s taken away from guard duties at the border. He also knows that Willem will take over the guard duties, and he also knows that Amos will meet him. But Samwell also knows that after Willem came back from court, he was changed having killed a Bracken without getting in trouble. Samwell also notices Amos is quieter than usual and learns that his older brother Jerrel had been killed at court, by a Blackwood. There’s not much that Samwell can do other than warn Amos that his brother Willem is like a wild horse, praising him goes farther than yelling.
Amos keeps that in mind when he meets Willem for the first time. Willem is a lot like Davos, will come running up to the very edge of his lands to yell at Brackens. Amos doesn’t startle like how Willem expects/wants him to. No Amos just stands there and says yes? I am a Bracken, what do you need/want? His response completely throws off Willem, he’s ready to fight a Bracken and maybe even kill another one, he’s proud of killing Jerrel.
When that intimidation tactic of just angry yelling doesn’t work, he tells Amos that he killed a Bracken earlier this year in court and got away with it. Amos is hurt, he’s reminded that his older brother was killed by a Blackwood, but he doesn’t let that show. No instead Amos says that Willem must be the bravest Blackwood ever. That he’ll be the best fighter and able to protect Samwell easily. Willem practically melts under Amos’s praise. He’s used to his brother praising him, he mostly thinks it’s to build his confidence because his father never praises him. Lord Blackwood always has a harsh word ready for Willem, no matter how well he does in the training yard, he could do better/be faster/more brutal on his offensive. During his studies the maester would tell lord Blackwood that Willem has gotten top marks on everything but he missed one question and that’s enough for him to be hit he needs to be perfect.
It’s a month of watching Willem, watching him practice his swordsmanship, and reading a history and heaping praise before Amos starts to actually believe what he’s saying. It takes him two more weeks to realize that he wants Willem. So his praise slowly shifts into compliments about how handsome he is, how his muscles are developing nicely, how his eyes are such a pretty shade of blue mixed with brown, and how although his hair maybe close to straw colored it’s more beautiful than any straw. Willem preens under the new compliments, it’s only after he mentions them to Samwell does he realize that Amos is flirting with him.
Willem is not subtle about flirting or anything close to it so he just bluntly asks Amos if he’d like to make out? There’s not much to do other than stare at each other. Amos is surprised, but readily agrees that was his goal in the first place to see if Willem liked him like how he does.
On Amos’s 16th name day is when they finally go all the way. Up until then it’s been strictly making out, hand jobs and blow jobs, and occasionally a finger in the ass. Willem is the one who asks Amos if he’d be willing to actually fuck, maybe as a name day present? So after talking it through and Amos agreeing, Willem tells him to meet him at midnight on his birthday in the old mill all Amos has to bring is himself Willem will take care of everything else.
Willem has Samwell help figure out what to bring to the mill, and even helps him set up a nice straw mattress in the mill. Amos arrives promptly to the mill, and is shocked by everything Willem has brought. He sees candles, a small cake, a straw mattress, flowers and a vial of scented oil. Amos tears up a little thanking Willem for being so thoughtful, Willem playfully pushes Amos while telling him to shut up, he’s just returning the favor. Willem had turned 16 the month prior and Amos had gotten him a cake and some wildflowers. Willem also points out that it’s their first time so it should be special. They become addicted to each other after their first time, every night shift they are in the mill, exploring each others bodies and taking turns on who’s ass is getting fucked.
Amos is still pretty reserved when he fucks Willem, he doesn’t want to hurt him, but Willem likes it rough if he’s not bruised and sore the next day then did they really fuck? So he starts petty fights before Willem fucks him, if he does push him a little too hard Amos tells him to back down or he will leave Willem wanting. Willem instantly backs down because he knows Amos doesn’t make idle threats and he’s already been left with blue balls once by Amos and he didn’t appreciate it. But Willem being Willem, ie doesn’t really know when to stop, he accidentally lets slip the name of the Bracken that he killed. Amos feels disgusted with himself that he fucked and fell in love with the Blackwood who killed his brother.
Amos barely containing his anger at himself and Willem tells him to leave, he doesn’t want to kill him but he will if he doesn’t leave right now. Willem tells Samwell what happened between him and Amos, Samwells heart breaks for all of them. His brother lost his future with his love, along with the hope of their kids marrying each other and being able to love the other, and it also breaks for himself he’s just lost a dear friend. The only relief Samwell feels for Willem is the fact that their father is dead, Willem won’t be beaten for loving a Bracken and crying about losing that Bracken. Samwell sends a raven apologizing and says that he wishes Amos well.
More time passes and Amos hears a rumor that Samwell fathered a bastard, he doesn’t pay much mind to it. It won’t affect him or his son or his nephew Aerons lives. 8 years pass after the rumor of Samwells bastard birth and he hears that Samwell has fathered an heir named Benjicot, Ben for short. Again it makes no difference to Amos, he’s too busy raising his nephew and Raylon. Aeron is 10 the first time that he is sent to watch the border lands. He’s the only child there for 6 years. It takes Samwells death and Willem becoming acting lord for Ben, who is still just a child, for him to send Davos out.
Amos had sent a letter wishing his condolences to Willem and Ben. But Willem still burnt it, Amos is the reason he never married nor have any heirs so it gets burnt without being open. Willem also demands that Davos fight the Brackens for their pride and for their queen. Davos does and also loose the love of his life. So of course he embraces the darkness, especially when Willem says that Daemon ordered them to attack the Brackens and the small folk.
Willem is the one that captures Amos while Davos captures Raylon. Davos swears that Raylon is Aeron come back to him just with shorter hair. So when Willem orders Davos to chain him up in the dungeons he doesn’t hesitate, he just wants to talk and prove that Raylon isn’t better than Aeron and that Aeron should still be here. Willem constantly says that Raylon is a bastard to get under everyone’s skin. Davos won’t sexually assault Raylon, he leaves that to his men, but he does secretly like’s to hear him cry and scream for the men to stop. Raylon does eventually tells Davos he’s glad Aeron is dead if only to be spared this fate.
Willem always lies to Amos and himself, when they lay together in bed. He says that he knows Amos wants it, it doesn’t matter that Amos is crying before hand or that he’s chained up he wants Amos again. When he tells Amos about what’s happening to Raylon, Amos starts to sob harder, his son should’ve been spared that treatment. It’s also around the time that Willem starts to leave marks, even the visible ones, Daemon and Oscar have summoned Willem and the captured Brackens to Harrenhal. On the move Willem makes sure everyone knows Amos belongs to him.
Oscar is disgusted by Willems actions, he doesn’t want to hear about how house Bracken should belong to house Blackwood he has Daemon execute Willem quickly. Amos curses Willem before his blood is even wiped off the blade and continues to his dying days. Davos is only spared that fate because Raylon speaks up about how he never touched him he just talked. Oscar still wants to execute Davos, but he doesn’t want to traumatize Raylon even more especially since he thinks Raylon is cute.
It’s how Oscar decides to send Raylon back with Davos as a hostage, he’ll just psychologically abuse Davos with the threat of death hanging over him if his brother doesn’t obey him. Davos is used to threats Willem always told him he can easily turn back into a Rivers if he doesn’t obey. Oscar sends Davos and Raylon on one horse, he can’t spare a second horse, even though it makes his blood boil to let Davos touch Raylon constantly.
After they’re sent back to Stone Hedge. Amos is forced to confront his men, to ask if they can still follow him after what’s happened to him? His men tell him of course what happened to him was not of his own volition, so they don’t see him as a weak leader. While still awaiting orders from Rhaenyra, Raylon and Davos make it back to stone Hedge.
Davos is taken to a guest room, where he is let free of the chains and fed well. When night falls Raylon enters with the guards stationed outside, Davos assumes that he’s about to assaulted just like Raylon was. But to his immense relief and surprise Raylon states that he’s not like Willem or Davos nor would his uncle let him do that. He just wants to know what Davos saw in his cousin Aeron, to make him go against house Blackwood and Willem? Especially since Davos is a bastard? Sure he was legitimized, but that status could be taken away easily. Also why did he and his uncle and their men call him a bastard?
So Davos spends time explaining how Aeron made him feel safe, heard and validated his feelings like no else had. How much he truly felt loved and how he was the one to hold Aeron as he lay dying. He also gave Aeron his last kiss, since he had also been his first kiss, truly a full circle moment. Raylon thanks him for explaining and for also being there to comfort his cousin in last terrifying moments.
That same night Raylon sends a raven to Oscar and Amos and has Davos send Oscar a raven, all three letters say that they made it and they’re safe. But in the letter Amos Raylon also explains that Aeron was in love with Davos and Davos returned those feelings, it explained why Davos never assaulted him.
Oscar doesn’t care for the letter from Davos, all he cares about is hearing that Raylon is safe and sound and healing. Amos sends up a prayer for Aeron, thanking him for saving his son the worst of the abuse that he could’ve suffered by Davos. Oscar is ready to march to end this war and make his way over to Stone Hedge, to make sure Amos gets there okay and to see Raylon again while having come be his cup bearer. Or something along those lines he just wants Raylon close.
1A): the spanking. Aeron files away the thought of spanking Davos at some point, not that either one was turned on by Amos but just that it might be fun. When Davos gets sent back to Raven tree hall, he makes up that he was caught by the Brackens and held hostage for a couple of days. But not to worry he beat up his captures so there’s no need to fight the Brackens.
1B): Lord Blackwood thinks it’s fitting since Amos smells like horses anyway, never find the fact that he doesn’t, so might as well just stick him in the stables. Samwell is just too kind to be sent to guard Amos alone so Willem comes along to make sure that Amos can’t escape. It turns out that lord Blackwood needed to worry more about Willem, he’s weak for a pretty looking man even if it’s a Bracken. So when Amos asks for help to escape Willem demands Amos allows him to fuck him. Samwell is scandalized but Amos thinks he’s bluffing so agrees. Willem pushes Amos onto his hands and knees, it’s not pleasurable for Amos they had no oil, and it’s the first time he’s being mounted like a mare would be by a stallion. Samwell is disgusted and leaves to stand guard while also pretending that he isn’t hearing skin slapping skin, it’s only the horses making noise. Lord Blackwood never does find out how Amos escaped, just calls his boys idiots. Nor does he know about Willem and Amos fucking every chance they get. Samwell does and he’s traumatized by the knowledge.
2): Willem had hoped that it was quick for Amos and his wife, and that Raylon was too young to know what had happened. Raylon is almost like rapunzel, he’s allowed outside in the court yards of Raven tree hall but isn’t allowed further than that.
Davos is the one that starts to point out how similar Aeron and Raylon are. But Willem tells him it’s just because Raylon was fathered on a Bracken bastard.
Who ever makes it to the end congrats you’re a real trooper. Also glad you enjoy my unhinged thoughts.

how would rafe react to walking in on sweetheart!R angrily yelling at her mother to "please stop, right now" or "I'm trying to handle it just go" because her mom is yelling at sweetheart's brother (maybe he's drinking too much or maybe he dropped out of highschool or something) I've been thinking about what would really shock rafe about sweetheart!R and I think that her getting into an argument with her family would be pretty shocking to see.
Like maybe sweetheart left in a hurry at one of their but she reassured rafe by holding his face (which has become a regular thing nowadays) and says something like "rafe I can promise you that everything's fine. I just need to take care of something back at home for a few, okay?"
Rafe doesn't understand why at that moment he feels like she isn't telling the whole truth, like he can feel that she really does mean what she says but he doesn't know why he feels like she's keeping something from him. It's like sweetheart!R isn't acting out of the ordinary and he doesn't want to believe that she would ever lie to him, but still that gut feeling remains.
She doesn't let go of his face but she struggles to maintain eye contact, she doesn't look away no not for a second. But the way her gaze shifts focus from on eye to the other it's obvious that she's expecting a verbal answer from him. Her heart is racing but she's keeping a straight face.
"okay yeah" he nods his head yes "alright I just need to take care of a few things over here, we can still talk to each other later tho, right?" He tries to keep his thoughts nice and calm.
"of course I'll call you when I can, I always do. Have fun with the boys okay? I know you and topper haven't seen each other in a while" she removes on of her hands from his face to his shoulder before she kisses his cheek, soft and gentle just as she always does. She grabs her phone and heads for her bike "it'll be good to spend some time with people you know you can trust" she smiles and he can see that she's trying her best to be as genuine as possible with it.
He watches as he knows that her house is just down the road from his. Rafe's kinda at a crossroads right now. On one hand he knows that look, the way her eyes aren't as calm as they normally are no matter how hard she tries to remain calm. The one look that's desperately trying to analyze another's feeling in order to react in a "proper way" as to not draw attention to herself even more.
He's seen that look a thousand times. Y'know being the kook royalty that the Cameron's were they'd seen that look all the time. In fact he can't name one person from his side of the island that he can confidently say that they've never had that look in their eyes. Every kook has had to push their feelings aside in order to appease the others around them.
He's seen the look in Mrs Thornton's eyes he saw it when she told a 15 year old topper with an 18 year old rafe in the background while Kelce was still outside, the trust fund trio were hanging out when topper accidently overheard his mom on the phone with their family lawyer. Rafe was right outside the room as he saw Mrs Thornton sit topper down before silently returning to Kelce. That was the day when topper silently returned to his friends and tried to put on a brave face while trying to joke about it he said something about having twice the amount of Christmas gifts from now on or something. Rafe knew how badly it hurt topper but he also knew that the look in Mrs Thornton's eyes, and it seems that the dull eyes and ingenious smile or peace was passed down to her son, the unspoken glare meant that it shouldn't be talked about now (if ever) and to just pretend that everything's fine. Why worry when you could have everything you could ever want or need.
He saw the look whenever ward looked at him, and considering rafe had seemingly no memory of ward looking at him any other way he'd say that he had also inherited that same look. Rafe at this point knows that everything has a price in this world. He figured that being cursed with this unspoken melancholy or misplaced anger/resentment is just what you're stuck with when you choose to live a life on figure 8. Rafe has been given the opportunity to have it all and ward's dim lit eyes serves as a painful reminder that rafe will have to work for his comfortable future. He seems to think that pain and comfort are one of the same. Wards unforgiving glare just means no matter how bad figure 8 might seem when you really think about it, that it's the best that the god forsaken island could ever give him. Although rafe was raised to believe that comfortability is the one the one thing that is promised to him in this life (even if he can't find it in others, he won't have to worry about price tags and the law as it turns out)
Obviously this has made rafe's life confusing. It's gotten to the point where he feels like everything's just an act now. Even with his own family he can tell that he will only be treated as a loss cause. His friends aren't any better, to them he's just your typical frat boy that has a temper. He often thinks that everyone sees him as just another stupid trust fund baby that will probably inherit a business that he can't manage. It's because of this confusion and this pressure to act like everything's fine that made him think that being this kook prince is the best that this confusing miserable paradise on earth has to offer.
There was a time when rafe thought that he could just live his life as some sort of frat boy with no responsibility until it's his turn to follow in his father's footsteps, that he doesn't really have a choice in the matter because that's all that expected from. Something he knows his father is unsure of whether or not rafe is capable of achieving. Rafe just wanted to have a good time with his friends and ignore the false calmness of his side of the island has to offer. That snow colored powder could somehow take away any kind of dark cloud that lurks behind everyone one of his friends eyes have and replace it with seemingly genuine light. Like somehow their parties bring life back into himself and make things less confusing for himself. He knows it's not true but it's fun to have that temporary peace (he's learned to enjoy it before it goes away as soon as he's alone after the party, or when he looks into the others eyes and the nasty fact that everyone he knows isn't as genuine as he'd hope)
Then when things started to calm down at one of these parties he'd notice this girl by the pool that has been long abandoned by the party of intoxicated rich kids. He walked over to her, hoping to have some fun with yet another touron that thought that the island would be some sort of escape from whatever problems they had on the mainland.
But before he could speak she turned her head to look at him, her curious eyes met his dilated ones, he takes a second to take her in fully. He tries some cheesy pickup lines on her hoping to get a laugh out of her which as a surprise to no one she does chuckle a bit before introducing herself to him and he returns the favor.
Sweetheart!R tells him that her friends should be coming back shortly, she stares at the stars for a while before looking at him shortly and confesses that she used to live on the island about a decade ago and that she's here to stay now. Although her gaze returned to the shining stars he can tell that even if he doesn't remember who she is he knows that she is genuinely excited to be back.
He's a bit taken aback when he realizes that she is a bit of an open book, the people on the island tend to try their best to keep their feelings a secret. He's never felt such a connection with anyone, he feels a certain peace with her. He feels it whenever they look into each other's eyes or how this lost kook never once treated him as a something to be afraid of.
He takes a second to look at his peers and he can only see a sea full of confused frustrated teens soaking up the last bit of peace or freedom they're aloud to keep as long as they don't get caught.
Rafe never felt like figure 8 was a community but he almost viewed it as a sort of network. At least on the cut you always know where to look when you need to find your second home. For most kinds on his side of the island home just meant the empty almost lifeless house their parents bought with money that seems almost unfair of them to have. It's like rafe knows he's throwing parties for people that'll either be his colleagues, employees, or resources for their emotionally empty yet financially comfortable future.
When rafe and the lost kook kept on talking through out the night after establishing that she had been ditched... it was surprisingly calm. It's as if the light in her eyes wasn't as carefully curated as his or those around them. It's as if she's a breath of fresh air and he's been drowning in all the unexplained feelings and chaotic thoughts. She's like a bright light of effortless peace and radiating calmness that makes it's way through the misdirection of a storm of feelings that he can't seem to control or the evasive dark thoughts that surround him and make him forget his own light like the dark midnight sky, like how the lighthouse is a warning to the ships nearby.
"rafe! Hey man what's up" Kelce interrupts rafe's never ending thoughts "haven't seen you in a while, how was your unexpected trip to the Bahamas? I heard the girls had to stay here" Kelce asks him carefully, he had a vague idea what kind of dynamic rafe has with ward. Kelce knows not to ask too many questions but the fact that he tries to make a quick check up after a while of not talking together is enough to make rafe get a hold of himself.
"I actually had a good time, hey I gotta go out for while can you make sure that no one fucks up the place too badly? My dad needs to sell this dump eventually" rafe asks his friend, he knows that Kelce isn't completely a heartless monster. The first thing that Kelce decides to ask rafe is about his trip with ward, which considering the trip seemed like forever ago to rafe it shows that at least Kelce still thought about him from time to time. Kelce had been a sweet boy when he was younger but being from the side of the island that cares about business more than meaningful human connections it meant that his empathy had to be set aside sometimes. It's times like these, when Kelce doesn't have to worry about putting up some kind of professionalism as a any kind of event or run ins with the workers of the business side of his family's life. When he's with his friends you can see little glimpses of the sweet boy he was before the trust fund trio grew older and found out that they could do anything.
Like literally anything, it doesn't matter if it breaks any laws or judgment from his parents just as long as his peers thinks it cool or inspiring they could do whatever they want. Kelce never took it too far like topper or rafe but he has his fair share of fun. Kelce just wanting to have fun tonight knows he can't really say no so he just accepts his friends request but rafe doesn't stay too long when he sees that Kelce won't ask about sweetheart's bag that he sees but no sweetheart!R to be found.
Rafe drives over to her house as soon as he can faintly hear voices yelling at each other when he finally pulls into their driveway. Rafe quickly takes the house keys from the bag and runs up to the door and opening the locked door. When he gets in and runs towards the voices he sees his girl yelling at her mother to stop, he sees her anger filled eyes fill with tears. He can hear the rage in her voice but her face shows that she genuinely is sad or perhaps fearful ad the tears toll down her cheek. He sees the family of five standing in the living room fighting. The mother and sweetheart!R going at it while the mom switches from yelling at her son to "get the fuck out of her house" and telling sweetheart!R to "stay out of it" with the father trying to calm his wife down and the youngest out of then staying silent through out it but quietly waiting for her chance to escape the complicated fight that happened between the family.
I would imagine rafe wouldn't know what to do because he'e never seen her scream so badly at anyone and because he didn't even know that sweetheart!R could get so angry that rage tears fall down her face even though it's clear that in her voice that she's worried about her brother AND scared of her mother AND also frustrated with everyone yelling at the moment AND trying to reassure her sister that everything will be fine soon but right now everyone in the family is so overwhelmed that she (nor the rest of her family) didn't even noticed Rafe's truck in the drive way or how he immediately ran into the house (and struggling with the house key that sweetheart!R left at his house)
rafe never knew that someone could feel so many things at the same time, of course his feelings overwhelmed him at times but from how he was raised he wasn't really taught how to identify the emotions he was feeling.
But as he stood there watching as the family turn their attention towards him, and he heard the deafening silence as he's been made, it really put into prospective just how easily his family could have turned out if he didn't meet her sooner. Rafe awkwardly holds up his girlfriends bag and slowly walks over to her to hand her it while silently asking of she's alright.
I don't know how rafe would react to this but I've had the idea in my head today so take this unedited weird blurb... would this be considered a blurb?I haven't actually written anything outside of grade school in a long long while (I know I went a little overboard with writing about Kelce and topper but writing the tiniest bit of backstory for them was honestly kinda fun ngl also comparing bunny to a lighthouse was cute and I wish I could have written a little more about what I meant by that 💕)
Babes this is so well written and I have no notes, I've been sitting on this one since you sent it because I'm obsessed with how your brain works it just fits so well????
I haven't got anything else to add tbh I love everything you said and don't think there's anything else I *could* add yk?

Kohaku/Amber Power
I think Groudon is fairly straightforward. Groudon is said to be the embodiment of the earth, so Amber can control the earth. She's an earth bender now. But I'm still going to try and break down exactly what she can do.
Spikes of earth - a lesser version of precipice blades. While seemingly straightforward on its own, it can be used for several things. For one, it's a good means of trapping. The spikes can be used to corner someone. They can also be used as a means of travel- think toph from Avatar. The spikes being shifted into a wall for protection is also very useful. But above all else, it's a simply good attacking move. Though knowing Amber, she likes to use it in terms of intimidation than anything else.
Heat resistant - Bulbapedia says that Groudon has lava proof scaling, and while I don't know if I want to make Kohaku lave proof, her being able to handle severe heats is something I can do. Though I think bc of that she doesn't fully realize that she herself is hot- as in her skin, she might be hot to the touch. In terms of combat that's great, no one can touch her, but it gets annoying in the day to day life. ESPECIALLY when she has two partners she wants to cuddle. I think over time she learned how to cook herself down, which is nice. Wally n Jin help with their water n wind powers respectively.
Slight magma manipulation - I say slight bc from the sounds of it, Groudon doesn't really have that much control over magma? Not in the way I think Heatran does anyway. Though I could be wrong. Magma to Groudon is more so a place of rest, but! The reason why Groudon can even walk on water is bc it's using magma to form its path, so that's gotta account for something right? For now, I'm just gonna have Amber do the same. Shift magma into a walkable surface for her. This kinda goes the same with lava. She could cause things to erupt from the ground buuuuuut I think she'd rather stick to shifting the earth. Don't want to cause major harm to the environment.
Earth Sensing - This one was inspired by a fangame I'm playing :) And it'll also be tweaked a bit because of Zygarde and Shauna, since both in a way deals with the earth but in different ways. Now, Earth Sensing is pretty straightforward, like a lot of kohaku's powers are. You can use the earth to sense those around you. It does require focus and concentration. While it is possible to do with while moving, focus is still necessary. Also in order to sense anything at all, you and your target have to be on the ground. If you're not, no dice. I think Zygarde might be a similar case but works differently. But that's for a different post.
Sunny Days - very very minor compared to Groudon but she can cause some small shifts in the weather. If she's in a bad mood I think things will get uh. A bit hot. Oh! I think that reminds me, bc of the heat she can actually melt objects! Pretty common among fire type Chosens but yeah.
It kinda goes without saying, but if Kohaku is in the air, she is pretty much useless. No earth to control, nothing to sense, and she doesn't. Exactly have clear fire powers question mark? So. Yeah she's mostly relying on her super strength and durability by that point. It's hard to get Amber down but it's easier when she's in the air.
Ironically, being in the water gives her a slightly easier time. It still sucks, but there's still some pieces of earth that can be manipulated, plus underwater volcanoes.
And yeah! I think that's everything about Kohaku's powers. Sorry got switching between Kohaku and Amber so much. I've been thinking about ditching one for the other completely but I can't decide heh. Anyway! This was fun, I like exploring my ocs powers.

Tainted Hearts
Chapter 16: The Calm Before the Storm
The sun bathed the room in a warm glow as students shuffled into the classroom, exchanging greetings and chattering about weekend plans. Riko took her seat quietly, organizing her books with an almost mechanical precision. She had grown used to the rhythm of school life, though her thoughts often wandered toward more complex matters, like the conflict of being too nice.
"Riko-chan, did you finish the math homework?" You asked, her cheerful voice breaking Riko's concentration.
Riko smiled softly, nodding. "Yeah, I finished it last night."
Chika, who was sitting nearby, perked up. "You’re amazing, Riko-chan! I don’t know how you manage all that homework!"
You chuckled, nudging Chika. "She’s a genius, that’s why."
Despite the playful tone of her friends, Riko couldn’t help but feel a slight pang of guilt. She had stopped letting people copy her homework a while ago, thanks to Tsushima-sensei’s advice. Yet, it wasn’t that simple. Some of her classmates hadn’t taken kindly to her change.
As the class started, the mood in the room shifted. Light whispers echoed behind her, and though Riko didn’t catch every word, the familiar sting of judgment prickled her skin.
"She’s changed a lot lately," one voice murmured.
"I told you, she wouldn’t let them copy anymore," another voice added with a snicker. "Guess she’s too good for that now."
Riko’s hands clenched her pencil, but she forced herself to stay calm. She had come too far to turn back now.
The bell rang, signaling the end of the period, and as the students filed out, Riko stayed behind to finish packing her things. That was when she heard the familiar, comforting sound of Tsushima-sensei’s voice from the front of the room.
"Sakurauchi-san, could you stay a moment?"
Riko’s heart skipped a beat. She turned, meeting Yoshiko’s gaze. The fallen angel persona that the students talked about so much was nowhere to be seen; instead, there was a quiet concern in her teacher’s eyes.
"Tsushima-sensei?" Riko asked softly.
Yoshiko glanced around to ensure they were alone before continuing. "You’ve been handling things well, I see." Her voice was steady, but there was a faint hint of admiration.
Riko shifted uncomfortably, not sure how to respond. "I’m trying. But… it’s hard sometimes. The others, they don’t understand."
"They don’t need to," Yoshiko replied, stepping closer. "You don’t owe anyone an explanation for doing what’s right for you."
Riko’s chest tightened at the sincerity of the words. She had heard similar things before, but something about the way Tsushima-sensei said it made her feel stronger. She gave a small nod, her lips curving into a slight smile. "Thank you, Tsushima-sensei."
Yoshiko nodded, her eyes lingering on Riko for a moment longer than necessary before she turned away. "Go on, then. The next class will start soon."
As Riko left the room, her mind buzzed with thoughts, emotions swirling inside her. She didn’t know when it had started, but Tsushima-sensei had become more than just a teacher to her. There was a connection between them, subtle but unmistakable. And it was growing stronger with every quiet moment they shared.
Outside, You and Chika were waiting. "Riko-chan, what did Tsushima-sensei want?" You asked curiously.
"Nothing much, just some advice," Riko answered, feeling the faintest blush on her cheeks. She quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, what’s this I hear about an upcoming cultural event?"
Chika beamed. "Oh! It’s gonna be amazing! I heard it’s going to be a big deal this year, with performances and everything! We should all join in."
You grinned. "Definitely. It'll be so much fun!"
Riko smiled at their enthusiasm, but her mind drifted back to Tsushima-sensei. There was something in the way she had looked at her today—something that made Riko wonder how much longer she could keep her feelings hidden.

Note
It was during the pandemic, and the mother are heavily overdue, with her children all having online classes at home.
Can she handle herself, doing the house chores alone and try to not make a sound while going into labour and give birth, not disturbing her children.
Oooh I absolutely love this
Mary was doing laundry as a sharp pain in her belly caused her to clutch it, while fluids gushed out of her pussy soaking her leggings "hmmm fuck you really can't wait to come out can't you?" She whispered to the baby in her belly.
Mary didn't want to make any noise as her daughter was in the middle of a test, with everything being long distance because of the pandemic she was in her room with the camera and microphone turned on, and every little noise could be heard.
Mary waddled into her daughter's room to pick up some books left on floor when she was hit by a powerful contraction that caused her to push involuntarily bringing the baby right behind her lips, she muffled her grunts to not disturb her daughter.
She decided to get out of her daughter's room as quickly as possible, but with every step she could feel the baby's head making her pussy bulge more and more as Mary tried her best not to whimper from the pain.
As she reached the door another contraction hit forcing her to squat as she pushed, her face turning red as she tried her best not to scream as her lips opened up around her baby's head.
Mary looked behind her to see that thankfully her daughter didn't notice anything, but unfortunate she was well within the camera's radius and everyone in the video call could see her squatting as a bulge formed in her leggins.
She got up as quickly as she could as with a wide stance she walked out of her daughter's room and into the living room where she quickly took off her leggings and panties and gave her biggest push yet "mmmmhhhh" a small grunt escaped her lips as the baby's head crowned painfully.
Mary's hands went to her stretched labia as she tried to help it stretch around the head, as she tried her best not to make a sound as her lips felt like they were on fire.
As she felt the urge to push again she heard her daughter in her room "professor I'm ready to turn in my assignment", hearing these words she quickly put her leggings back on and resisted the urge to push, she waddled as quickly as she could to the sink to do the dishes.
Mary grit her teeth as her daughter came out of her room "whew glad that's done with, why did you run out of the room so quickly before mom?" Her daughter asked as she thought of a lie to not have her worry.
"I just hnnng didn't want to huuu bother you sweetie" Mary stuttered out as the urge to push came back "mom you alright?" Her daughter asked "yeah yeah I'm hnng fine, now huuu go back to your room hufff doesn't your next lesson start in 5 minutes?"
"yeah but are you sure you're alright? You seem like you're in labour" "don't worry hnnng about it, you just go and focus on the lesson huuu" Mary answered her "ok then if you're sure", as soon as her daughter went back to her room she lowered her pants, squatted and pushed.
"huuuuuuu hnnnnnnnngaaaaaaah haaa" she groaned and panted as quietly as she could as the head popped out with a spray of fluids. Her hands went to caress her baby's head as it dangled in between her legs "haaa haaa"
Mary suddenly heard steps coming her way "hey mom do you know where my book on-FUCK oh my god are you okay?" Her daughter yelled as she saw her baby sibling's head dangling in-between her mom's legs.
"don't worry honey hoooo I'm alright, just one more push and it'll come out Hmmmmmmngaaaah" she moaned out as her face turned red with effort, her baby sliding out of her battered pussy as she caught it.
Mary's daughter looked at her dumbfounded "w-why didn't you say anything?" Her mother answered as she nursed her baby while fluids kept leaking out of her "I just didn't want to bother you".
This was really fun to write, sorry if it's not great I haven't written in a while and I didn't have time to proofread it as I'm busy with uni, bit thanks for the wonderful ask, it was really hot hope you like it

Cyber 9 (Anti-Agent AU)
She made her choice where it'll be her end itself. To side with those who hurt her, right? She honestly doesn't believe herself. It was all a hellish nightmare blurring past leaving lost time.
The quiet room. A place where new memories bleed into each other along with the loud room. These rooms where one way to break anyone through deprivation of sound to sudden shock of sounds amplified, taking sleep away. This place was one she knew too well. They're always in those nightmares just like her unheard cries. The taste of blue copper mixing in purple.
Even though she was free her mind was enslaved. Cyber sat in darkness with deafening silence. All was quiet.
Light shined into the dark when an Elite Octoling opened up her Cyber's prison.
"Enter and shut the door."
Cyber heard the door shut, the darkness flooding back.
"Cyber's I'm wondering about what to do. Do I leave or stay for Crimson's sake?"
"Jaden dear, you do whatever you wish. 65 is of course their for you and Crimson."
"If I leave then-"
"I'll take the fall. You both will have me covering you. It's both your choice."
"But-"
"I have nothing to lose. I'll be alright."
Cyber looked at the door to see it open again.
"900. It's time to head out."
Cyber looked at Jaden nodding. Jaden followed Cyber's lead outside of this damp cell of unseen horror. No matter how many times she goes in Jaden fails to shake her feelings of fear, only kept them inside herself till she leaves.
She wondered how Cyber could return to such killing silence.
Cyber got into her costume of metal. She had anything significant covered up in SFX cosmetics, fake scars, and her iconic set of metal jaws pairing with her cybernetic arm and leg.
"This show is going to be like the others. Fun for all. I still can't believe I made it Jaden, everyone here is very excited about what I do."
"Yeah..."
Cyber looked at Jaden through the mirror, "Do you wish to leave? I can make it happen."
"Really!?"
"Yes, I told you I'll cover you and Crimson."
Jaden looked at Cyber before hugging her, "Thank you."
Cyber smiled having a her arms tightly around Jaden. As she an friend? An enemy? Both?
"You don't have to thank me." They broken the platonic embrace, "I'll meet you where we discussed."
"Of course." Jaden left the dressing room, the door creaking shut.
Now Cyber was alone to do one last thing. She opened a droor full of oddities she moved all of them away to lift out the bottom exposing a vile full of a multicolored substance and several unused needles. She knew once it wore off it would leave her weak in exchange for strength to hide her infliction.
Cyber got the vile along with a sterile needle in its packaging. Might as well get this over with so she won't have to worry about it longer.
"900."
Cyber mentally cursed, "Yes ma'am?"
"Be sure you use the proper dose."
Of course she'll be here.
"Noted." Cyber continued to get the needle out, fill it with the substance, then injected the substance into her neck where dark purple patches from constant infections grew agitated.
She tossed the needle in the trash bin with it covered so no one will be poked or end up hurt. She shoved a disk into each of her gills, covering her neck with a metal neck guard, before adding one last touch. Two contact lenses on her eyes.
"Now I'm done." Cyber went out of her dressing room with time to spare. Par for her course when dealing with a large show with an equally longer time to entertain.
One thing is for sure, everything is coming to close in on her. Oh well. She'll handle them when the time comes to allow her.

could i hv hcs for buckynat as parents
like how they decide they want kids, adopt them, both of them w babies xx
| natasha x bucky |
warnings: none
a/n: yeah babey
okay so kids are a big BIG deal. especially with the lives nat and bucky have and have had, so this is not a flippant suggestion, right?
WRONG - bucky turns over in bed at five in the morning: nat's half-asleep. he pokes her cheek and says 'you wanna have a baby?'
(she pushes him off the bed and throws his pillow down on top of him once she's gotten over the shock)
okay but then aside from that, the discussion they must have about this child. the measures they must put in place to keep her safe before they even adopt her. the emotions she elicits from the both of them (fierce protection, practically feral. buckynat parents are INTENSE about this child). obviously regular missions are out of the question now: that baby is not going to be left alone for the rest of her life
i feel like nat decides after bucky does. but it’s not like she needs persuading. it’s more like she’s weighing it up with an endpoint already in mind. like she’s trying to repent before she can let herself have one good beautiful thing that she was told she would never deserve and could never handle and that would only confound her ability to function. she just has to convince herself she’s good enough.
and then they get another one. and omg the UNCLES. steve. sam SAM OH MY GOD. tony, but he's not allowed alone with either of the kids until they're at least five. he resents this. RHODEY. clint oh my god clint. him and sam take them to like paintballing and laser quest and archery ranges and teach them such questionable skills - 'you wanna learn how to pick a lock, little romanoff?' cue bucky telling clint he’s banned from their house until the new year (unseriously. bucky loves clint but will never admit it)
the aunts THE AUNTS. sharon's terrible with children but they love her anyway - she's fun to annoy plus she gives them money every time she comes round. maria - you wouldn't think it but she's great with them. she plays with them non stop, allows them to climb her like a tree, disguises healthy food by cutting vegetables into little shapes like stars. she's a blessing. melinda may is the no nonsense but secret softie one and the kids get through to her before too long
okay bucky with a baby. bucky with a goddamn baby. he holds that thing like he's afraid if he squeezes even a little it'll snap in half. he changes the kids when they're little with SO MUCH care and precision. he's slave to their every whim and demand and he LOVES IT. they fall asleep on top of him while he's watching tv. they drool on his chest & he doesn't care. they sit on him and brush his hair. he does the 'here comes the aeroplane' thing with them EVERY. MOUTHFUL. nat rolls her eyes but in reality she finds him too endearing to verbalise it.
bucky barnes father of the year is all I'm saying
natasha is different but no less loving OBVIOUSLY. she’s very serene with the kids when they’re babies, opposite to bucky who is all smiles and babytalk. they fall asleep quicker when nat’s around and as they get older they beg her every night to read to them (because duh her voice) and sometimes she sings as well. when bucky’s cooking she’s playing with them and she makes up the most extravagant and imaginative games
and of course the kids love their ‘aunts’ and ‘uncles’ but they love it best of all when they can go home and sleep it off in nat’s arms with bucky’s cooking wafting through the door and inciting the loveliest dreams (he’s an amazing cook shut up)

Wanda Maximoff ~ Fake It Till You Make It
Tumblr media
Wanda version of this fic as requested by @yeetus-thyself
7.7k words
Warnings: shitty family and homophobia
[ masterlist ]
Buy me a coffee ☕
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Pleeaasse, Wan" You pouted once again. You had been begging Wanda for the favour for an hour now; her stubborness was proving hard to overcome.
"I'm busy." Wanda said, her accent strong as she walked around her appartment to collect things for her next mission.
"But will you be busy on the 10th?" You asked from the couch where you watched her disappear into various rooms as she talked.
"I thought you said it was a few days." Wanda quipped, seemingly only giving you half her attention.
"It is." You confirmed with some hope.
"So I'd need to clear my schedule for more than just the 10th." You huffed and rested your head on the back of couch.
"Yes you would. I'm sure Natasha can manage without you for a few days."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that." She muttered.
"Please, Wan." You tried. "I need a win." Wanda stopped by the kitchen counter and gave you a long, considering look. You had long given up on your puppy dog eyes and instead copied her expression as you chewed on your bottom lip.
"I'll think about it." Wanda finally said before grabbing something from the cupboard. It was the best response you had gotten all night and you knew you wouldn't get anything more. So you accepted it and hoped for the best.
Your parents had invited you to their cabin for a few days just like they did every year. It was a beautiful place. You could spend your whole visit in the forest along the back. Or swimming in the clear lake that was a short walk away. The cabin itself was the cosiest place you had ever been and had been where some of your best memories had happened as a kid.
As you got older things changed. Being around your family, especially your parents, wasn't as enjoyable. They had high expectations for their children, expectations that your siblings had met without a problem but ones that you had struggled with. You enjoyed your life. You had the kind of relationships you had always hoped for, you loved your job and you had the perfect balance of the two. But you could never shake the feeling that you had failed.
Your brother was a surgeon who always told you all stories of the lives he saved and the close calls he had swooped in to save people from. One of your sisters was some hot shot lawyer who had done great things like help people wrongly convicted but still put dangerous people back on the street. And your other sister was the CEO of an energy company that you never quite understood. They even all had equally successful partners who loved to talk about themselves as much as your siblings did. You didn't have any of that. But you did have Wanda.
Knowing the Avengers was the only thing about you your family took interest in. They were always subtly hinting at wanting to meet your friends. But you knew the Avengers had to endure enough fan service and didn't want to push your family onto them, especially with how annoying they all were.
However as your family's unrealistic expectations reached their all time high you were sure you wouldn't be able to handle another trip with them without a win, and you were far too petty to take the moral high ground and just not go. Not to mention that was a huge part of you that was dying to see what the Wanda girlfriend experience would entail. Yep, that was what you were asking of Wanda. To pretend to be your partner for the duration of the trip.
You knew it wasn't a smart choice. That if Wanda agreed your crush on her could get out of hand. You knew you would end up getting too caught up in the act. You could have, no - should have - asked Natasha or Yelena or even Carol if she was around. But your family knew you were the closest with Wanda and she would be the one it felt the most natural with, and the most believable. At least, that was what you told Wanda.
"When are you going?" You asked, changing the subject in hopes that Wanda wouldn't suddenly conclude she didn't want to do it (then you really would have to ask one of the others).
"Tomorrow." She answered, keeping her focused tone.
"When will you be back?" You attempted to keep the concern out of your voice but the glance the redhead gave you told you you hadn't done a good job.
"The day after." She said, softer this time. You nodded as you looked down at your lap and tried not to think about everything that could possibly go wrong on her mission.
"Be safe." Wanda strolled over to you and placed her hand gently ontop of yours and gave it a quick squeeze.
"Always."
*
"Got any plans Saturday night?" Natasha smirked knowingly at her friend as they preped for their mission.
"No." Wanda replied as she adjusted her earpiece.
"Nothing with y/n then?" Nat asked, partly genuinely but mostly knowing Wanda would still say no.
"Nope." She said again, biting the inside of her cheek in consideration before speaking again. "Not this Saturday."
Natasha raised an eyebrow in surprise and interest. Wanda rarely made any kind of special plans with you as you would always hang out casual and it was never anything fancy or different. She had always wanted to though.
"Plans for another time?" Nat continued as she double checked her pack.
"Maybe, I'm still thinking about it." The redhead turned fully to her friend at her words, confused at why Wanda was hesitant to spend time with you. "She wants me to go to the cabin with her and her family." Nat had heard all about the infamous cabin and your family.
"That sounds fun." Nat nodded. The cabin sounded fun. Your family did not.
"As her girlfriend." Nat's eyes widened excitedly but before she could speak Wanda clarified. "Her pretend girlfriend."
Nat paused and looked as though she was going to speak for several seconds until she stuck to just giving a confused look.
"Yeah." Wanda sighed. "Thinks it would seem impressive." Wanda had tried not to be hurt over that. She knew you weren't just friends with her to show her off to people, because you never did. But it hurt her to think the only time you could see her in a romantic way was when you were pretending.
"Well," Nat muttered as she adjusted the zip along the front of her catsuit. "Fake it till you make it." It was Wanda's turn to give Nat a questioning look. "Maybe it'll be an eye opener for her."
"You think I should do it?" She asked, fully open to hearing and accepting her friend and mentor's advice in that area.
"Definelty." Nat confirmed. She wasn't sure about it for the reasons she said though. Wanda's crush on you was obvious to everyone except you, just as it was vice versa.
*
You had been overjoyed when Wanda told you she would come with you to the cabin and play along as your girlfriend. She had told you when she came back from her mission, in fact it was the first thing she said after she had let herself into your appartment. It was never really brought up after that, but you couldn't deny you were incredibly anxious on the week leading up to the visit.
On the drive up to the cabin you and Wanda stayed in a comfortable silence most of the time, clearly both lost in thought. You had the radio on for background noise more than anything else, but you would occasionally lightly tap the steering wheel if there was a tune you recognised, oblivious to Wanda's acknowledging smiles.
"So what's the plan?" Wanda asked as she looked at you expectantly. Right, of course the Avenger wanted a strategy.
"Keep things simple, I guess. They know how we met already so we can just say at some point we took things a step further than friendship." Wanda didn't seem convinced at the simplicity of that. "Look they're not going to want to hear about us, not much at least. They prefer the sound of their own voices, they'll be trying to impress you is all."
"Impress me?" Wanda asked.
"Yeah, hope you warm up to them so one day they can invite you to their snobby parties." Wanda chuckled her heart warming laugh as she glanced out of the window, knowing there was a lot of truth to what you said.
"And what are those like?" She enquired curiously.
"I wouldn't know, I've never been invited." You said simply. You had gotten over that a long time ago, gotten used to being forgotten. Wanda clearly hadn't though.
"It will be an honour to turn them down." Wanda said. You shook your head and smiled at her. That did sound pretty nice.
When the cabin came into sight between the trees your nerves spiked. You figited in your seat and bit your lip when you saw some of your family gathered outside, their attention instantly on you. You shot Wanda a quick smile which she returned before you got out of the car.
"Y/n! So nice of you to come." You mum said as her eyes flickered to Wanda more than you. She opened her arms for the shortiest hug in human history before turning to Wanda. "You must be Wanda, we've heard so much." You mum insisted as she brought the redhead in for a hug too. She raised her eyebrows at you over your mum's shoulder and you bite back a laugh.
The others came over to greet you and mainly Wanda in a rush, overwhelming both of you.
"You two will be in the upstairs bedroom on the left." Your mum told you as you went to grab your bags. You did a double take, convinced you had heard her wrong. That was the best room in the house. A big difference from being in the small room in the basement every other time you had been there.
"First one on the left." Your dad confirmed. There was no way your parents were going to be in the basement so you wondered who else had been moved around but didn't ask, knowing whoever it was wasn't going to be happy.
You and Wanda made your way up to the room and you couldn't help but smile at the sight of the spacious room and the door you knew led to your en suite.
"That was...a lot." Wanda summarised as she said her bag under the bed.
"I would tell you it gets better but I don't want to get your hopes up." You sighed as you got a couple of things out.
"It's just a few days." Wanda said despite the fact you should have been assuring her.
"Yeah." You nodded and stared down at the floor. "Now c'mon." You suddenly said as you took ahold of Wanda's hand and laced your fingers together. You missed the startled blush that crept onto her cheeks when you turned around.
Your family were sat outside whispering amongst themselves when you returned. Their interested gaze fell to your entwined hands in an instant.
"So you work with the Avengers?" Your brother, Dalton, said as soon as you both sat down.
"I do, I'm one myself." Wanda said as she continued to hold onto your hand.
"Must be crazy, what are they like?" He enquired.
"They're good." Wanda said simply. Everyone clearly expected something more but Wanda pretended not to notice making you smile.
"I almost did business with Stark once, decided against it in the end." Claire announced proudly. You and Wanda exchanged knowing glances. Stark had told you all about his encounter with your sister, it definetly wasn't her turning him down.
"I was invited to one of his parties." Anna said quickly. "I was busy that night unfortunately."
Bull. Shit.
"Yes I remember working with Doctor Strange when he was still in the medical profession." You gave Wanda an I-told-you-so look as your family erupted into conversation over who had the most contact with the heroes. That had to be a new record of how quickly they started talking about themselves.
They continued like that until your mum called everyone in for dinner. The food smelt undeniably amazing as you took your place at the table next to Wanda and eyed the dishes infront of you. Your parents efforts to impress the redhead weren't all that bad.
Your family continued to catch up and and you and Wanda half listened as you ate. They were all doing as well for themselves as ever and still hadn't learnt any modesty.
Although you were proud of your siblings for what they had all achieved, Wanda had contained four potentially devastating bombs from going off in the space of half an hour a week before but she wasn't going to bring that up anytime soon. Eventually though, the attention turned to you to bring you out of your silence.
"And you're still working in that little café, y/n?" Your mum asked curiously.
"I own it, mum." You corrected quietly as you stabbed some pieces on your plate.
"Ah yes, quite the contrast though, isn't it. Between you two." She said as she pointed at you and Wanda with her fork. You didn't say anything to that because you felt there really wasn't anything to say in response. It wasn't like you hadn't thought that exact thing every now and then.
"The team loves it." Wanda said suddenly making everyone, including you, look at her in slight surprise from speaking up. It hadn't taken your family long to learn Wabda wasn't much of a talker, not to them anyway. You couldn't get her to shut up half the time. "At least one of us goes everyday. If we're lucky we all can. Nothing beats it." She defended simply before turning back to her food to show she wasn't going to say anymore. You smiled down at your plate at her words and the truth of them.
No one said anything in response, clearly shocked from this new information until Dalton spoke up.
"But doesn't Stark like fancy, top of the line, restaurants? I can't imagine him in some random coffee shop, no offence sis." He nodded towards you though you knew he didn't mean it. He couldn't let you have just one win.
"That random coffee shop has catered some of Stark's parties. Not that many though." A smug smile crept onto Dalton's face as he opened his mouth to make a snarky remark but Wanda cut him down again. "Because y/n's invited to the rest as a guest and a close friend." Your family stared at you with open mouths.
"You've been invited to Stark's parties?!" Anna exclaimed. In your defence, your family never wanted to hear about your life so you never got the chance to tell them anything.
"It's not really my crowd." You shrugged. "I just go to hang out with them after." Dalton's jaw clenched in annoyance and he didn't say anything for the rest of dinner. It was only really your mum who kept talking. Telling everyone about her latest travels that fell on death ears.
It was certainly a first for your family.
When everyone had finished their food you and Wanda excused yourselves and said goodnight before retiring to your room. Wanda shut the door gently as you collapsed onto the bed on your back and glared at the ceiling. The redhead shuffled around quietly to get her toothbrush and toothpaste and some other things you weren't really paying attention to and went into the bathroom.
When she came back out she was in her bedclothes and lifted your feet off the floor to turn you so you could fully lay on the bed. You smiled at her weakly.
"You should go get changed." Wanda said as she got her laptop out her bag. "Then you can pick a movie." She announced when she had gotten under the covers and started her laptop. You smiled more and nodded.
You tried not to think about your family and everything they had said at dinner as you got changed but it proved difficult. Everything they had said echoed around in your head but most of all you couldn't shake the disregarding ways they said it. It was as though you could do no right with them. Maybe they would never be proud no matter what you did.
You placed your toothbrush back I'm the holder and rinsed your mouth before heading back into the bedroom to an awaiting Wanda.
You got under the covers next to her and rested your head on her shoulder as you glanced at the Netflix screen and pointed to one of the comedy movies.
About ten minutes into the movie Wanda spoke. "You okay?" She whispered as she continued to look at the screen although that wasn't where her focus was.
"Yeah." You whispered back.
"You can talk to me." She said after a second." You moved your head away so you could see Wanda clearly.
"I'm so glad you're here." You said honestly. She smiled and nodded as her eyes searched yours.
"I'm glad I'm here too." You knew Wanda wasn't glad she had to spend the time with your family. She was glad that she could support you despite their efforts to bring you down. You were incredibly lucky to have her.
You rested your head back on her shoulder and neither of you spoke for the rest of the movie. Or the rest of the night. You must have fallen asleep about half an hour in.
*
Wanda was one of the most intimate people you had ever met. It was mainly something she aimed towards you and Natasha but didn't refrain from comforting others and giving hugs to anyone who would take one. She never held back at all with you, as far as you knew. But when you woke up and couldn't tell where your limbs started and Wanda's ended, you were still surprised to find yourselves like that. Butterflies flew around in your stomach in a way you knew was dangerous but couldn't help but love.
You were resting your head on her rising chest and had your arm slung across her stomach. Your legs were tangled together and her arms were holding onto your waist. A warmth spread through you and you decided to settle back into her hold and closed your eyes with a content smile.
You had about ten minutes to enjoy that before Wanda woke up. You could feel the moment she realized you were so close, she physically froze. You waited in anticipation for something for several moments until your friend very slowly unhooked her legs and guided your body to lay against the mattress and pillows as she slipped out of bed towards the bathroom.
You sighed when you heard the door close and rubbed your eyes slowly, knowing you should get up but wishing more than anything that you could return to how you woke up.
"Morning." Wanda croaked when she left the bathroom and saw you sitting up in bed.
"Morning." You said back with a smile and tried not to focus on how ridiculously attractive her voice sounded.
You gathered some random clothes into a bundle and went into the bathroom to change again and brush your teeth. When you came out Wanda was pulling her shirt over her head and gave you a generous view of her toned stomach. That training with Natasha really was paying off. Your face heated up when you saw it and you turned away to pretend you hadn't seen when Wanda noticed you.
"Don't make a sound." Wanda warned. You glanced up at her with some confusion. "I don't think your family's awake yet, that means we get the kitchen to ourselves." She grinned and you did too.
You and Wanda had gotten so used to getting up early for your jobs you forgot other people would still be sleeping. It was hard to break out of the habit but it proved useful.
The pair of you made a quick breakfast and ate it outside thanks to the warm weather even at that time. But soon enough your parents came downstairs and ruined the peaceful atmosphere with the clanging of pots and loud convosations.
You wandered around the side of the house and saw the old table tennis table that bad been folded away years ago and hadn't been set up since. You went over and started setting it up when Wanda joined you and eyed the table with a glimmer of mischief.
The redhead wasn't all that competitive, in fact you were pretty sure she let other people win games on the regular to make them feel better about themselves. But there was an undeniable spark of mischief in her eyes when she saw the table.
"You played this before?" You asked convosationally.
"I have." She said as you both automatically took up your positions of opposite ends of the table.
"Me too." You said confidently. "A lot." Wanda hummed in acknowledgment and swivelled her bat in her hand and stood ready. You smiled at her seriousness for the game.
You served surprisingly well for someone who hadn't played in a few years and Wanda was able to hit it back with ease. Once you had developed a steady pace you started hitting the ball more daringly to Wanda who was caught off guard before she started doing the same.
The moment you missed the ball a small smile tugged at the corner of Wanda's lips, her celebration was short lived when you suddenly sent the ball back her way until it was too late.
"That wasn't fair!" She exclaimed childishly.
"That was tables tennis." You said seriously but started smiling again.
Wanda huffed dramatically and flipped you off as she trudged back to the table and served the ball with force. You managed to send it back but took a step away from the table in caution.
You continued like that for a while. The competition tension rising as you picked up the pace, one of you occasionally getting a point before the other evened it out.
At one point you were vaguely aware of Dalton sauntering over to see what you were doing and arched his brow at the sight of the table.
"We still have this thing?" He questioned and you hummed quietly in response, too focused on the game.
"Hey Claire! Get over here, we're playing table tennis." You rolled your eyes at the intrusive and could sense Wanda refraining from doing the same until an idea popped into your head.
You caught the ball in your hand and smiled at Wanda's protests as you moved round to her side of the table just as your sister came out.
"I didn't even know we still had this." Claire laughed as she picked up another bat from the box.
"Maybe we should take it back with us." Wanda whispered to you and you bit your lip to contain your smile because yes, yes you should.
Inevitably, your siblings sucked at table tennis. You had suspected as much you just never thought they would be as bad as they were. They missed almost every hit and everytime they did they got increasingly angry, which meant they ended up flaring their arms around like idiots. It was a memory you would be sure to treasure.
"Stupid game" and "probably broken" kept echoing across the table until your siblings finally stormed off to throw a tantrum.
The rest of the day went by quietly. You and Wanda sat by the lake for most of the afternoon to enjoy the sun and heat. You reveled in the most recent memories of your siblings embarrassment and had to keep hushing down to childish whispered whenever one of them was nearby.
Surprisingly, dinner went by peacefully too.
You weren't asked anymore questions at the table. Instead, your family were content with talking about their upcoming plans between stealing glances at you and Wanda that the redhead never failed to notice.
The pair of you slipped off to your room the first moment you got and easily fell into bed besides one another. Wanda picked out a DVD from her bag of an old Sokovian show she used to watch as a child and had you hooked on as well as teaching you the language.
She settled down beside you and within the first few scenes she wrapped an arm around your shoulder so you could sink into her further like she did sometimes when you watched things together. You were barely paying attention to the series after that.
Despite trying to keep your focus on understanding what was happening in scenes of the show, you couldn't help but want to melt under the warmth of your best friend. You hoped it was something you got to experience more, you felt safer than you ever had in Wanda's arms.
Little did you know that having you in her arms was the most comforting feeling Wanda ever experienced and she always tried to do it as little as possible to refrain from falling for you more. It never worked.
*
You had thought waking up in Wanda's arms the morning before had been the best thing to awake to. But that day when you woke up not only were your legs tangled together again but the redhead was slowly stroking your hair while your head rested on her chest.
It was a gradual gesture that maintained a perfect rhythm and made you want to fall back asleep. But you were afraid you would mistake it for a dream later on. No, it was definitely real.
Luckily, your head was already tilted upwards slightly so when you secretly opened your eyes to risk a peek at your friend you saw her staring out the window as though she was in a trance. She was clearly so deep in thought she hadn't noticed you wake up, you had never seen her like it. But the feeling was too good to ignore, too compelling.
Soon enough, you found yourself drifting off back to sleep.
*
When you woke up again Wanda was gone. Her absence left an emptiness you knew wasn't good for you. As the days of your visit went on your fake relationship with Wanda was going to effect you even more when it was over.
Over...you couldn't think about that.
Once you got up and got changed you found Wanda in the kitchen looking at the news on her phone as she sipped her coffee.
"Morning, honey." You grinned. Wanda blushed slightly into her coffee, something you thought was undeniably adorable.
"Morning yourself." She tried to play off smoothly making you grin more.
You made breakfast for you both just as your mum came into the kitchen and greeted you both with an overplayed smile, already talking to Wanda about an upcoming party that she should go to. Wanda mumbled something about a busy schedule as you managed to whisp her away outside with your food.
Eventually, you and Wanda became bored with sitting around in the house when you had such amazing surroundings on your doorstep. You declared that you were going on a walk with the redhead and left before any of your family could invite themselves to go with you. Especially as you had told your friend to wear her swimwear underneath her clothing as you had a surprise for her.
You made a point of holding Wanda's hand as you left and once you were far away from the house went to take it back only for her to hold on tighter.
"You never know where they could be lurking." She joked as an excuse, so you starting swinging your arms playfully as to assure her you wanted your hands to stay linked together too.
You spent hours in those woods and was thankful for having a spy best friend who of course knew to pack the essentials like food and drinks so you could stay away from the house as long as you wanted.
The redhead brought so much you were able to have a small picnic on top of a hill that overlooked the large lake that stretched out all the way back to the house. You remembered thinking up stories as to explain the strange shape and curves to it as a child.
"It's beautiful here." Wanda said as she picked some grapes from the bunch between you.
"It is." You agreed with a fond smile.
"I used to want to live in a place like this." She muttered, sparking your interest.
"In the woods?" You asked curiously and she nodded.
"I thought I could retire to the woods and get a small cabin and I could grow my own food and that was all I needed." You hummed with a smile as you studied Wanda's features.
"Sounds lonely." You thought aloud.
"I'd have a cat." She said simply making you laugh. "I never used to think that but now when it crosses my mind and I picture that life... I picture someone else there with me." You knew she was imagining it as she spoke and you wished you could see exactly what it was she wanted.
"We could always downgrade the holiday house." You half joked as you nodded in the vague direction of the house. "Make it a simple cabin."
"We?" Wanda asked hopefully, the emotion clear before she had a chance to conceal it.
"There's no one I'd rather run away and live in the forest with." You joked although there was a lot of truth to your words. The redhead considered you for a while before smiling and nodded as though she had reached her own internal conclusion.
"Come on." You said suddenly as you stood up and dusted yourself off.
"You want to go back?" Wanda asked and you grinned.
"I'm going to show you that surprise." You declared and packed the remaining food away. Wanda did the same, eager to see the surprise you kept secret the whole way.
It was quite a way back to the house. The whole time Wanda kept asking more questions about it but you wouldn't say. She could only make guesses based on the swim wear which should have left only a few options, non of which she got right.
Finally, you arrived where you wanted to and grinned at Wabda before starting towards the edge. The redhead frowned as she watched you approach the ledge and became worried when she invisioned the steep slope that didn't always lead to water straight down. If you were to fall... your friend didn't have to wait long to see that. You slipped along the edge and disappeared from her view as she gave a startled cry and sprinted towards the edge and knelt over with wide eyes, expecting to see something that could haunt her forever but instead she saw you on a wide ledge but seven feet below her.
To your left was part of the ledge that had been dug into randomly and acted as perfect aid to get back into the woods above.
"Come down here." You beckoned as you starter to take your top off. Wanda's eyes widened more and quickly turned around and dropped down next to you steadily.
She glanced over the side of the small ledge to glance at the fifty foot drop into the water. There was nothing in the way to fall onto but there was no telling how deep that water was.
"You can't go in like that." You laughed as you kicked off your shorts and pushed them to the side.
Wanda's face heated up at the sight of you in your y/f/c bikini as you assessed the view. But even in her flustered state she was able to put it all together.
"You want to jump down there?" She exclaimed making you laugh.
"I've done it tones of times." You assured. "It's fun."
"It's a death wish! What if the waters not deep enough?" She questioned making you laugh more.
"Are you scared, Wan?" You teased as you took a step towards her making her avert her eyes from your form. She scoffed to play it off.
"Of course not." You hummed in faux belief.
"Well then I'll see you down there." You grinned and took a couple of steps back until your feet were no longer on the platform and you were plummeting down towards the water where you landed with a splash.
Wanda held her breath as she waited for you to resurface for a few agonising seconds. When you did with a gasp and started kicking around frantically to keep yourself afloat with your built up adrenaline the redhead sighed in relief and started taking off her own shorts and shirt and placed them next to your things.
You've jumped from higher. She told herself as she rocked on her feet. And you have powers! She argued back before she shoved those thoughts aside and threw herself off the ledge and into the water below. You laughed as she came back up and pushed her hair away from her way. You swam closer to her and saw her wide smile.
"Fuck." Wanda whispered with a laugh as she looked back up from where you had both come.
"Told you it was fun." You teased as you tried not to focus on the low cut on her bikini bra.
"Yeah yeah." She laughed and paused when she looked past you and saw you were surprisingly close to the house. She could see the outline of your family sat outside.
"They're looking." Wanda muttered. You could tell by the look on her face who she was talking about. It wasn't like there was anyone else around either.
"Do you think they've caught on?" You asked nervously as you stared at Wanda's brown eyes to stop you looking at your family.
"Maybe..." She considered and glanced around. "It's not like we've been acting like that much of a couple." You scoffed at that.
"At home everyone assumes we're dating and the one time we need it be believable it isn't." You rolled your eyes but couldn't help the smile.
"I know." Wanda laughed for a second but then paused. "Then let's give them something believable." She gently placed both her hands on your waist and pulled you slowly towards her. You let her guide you and took extra notice of the water droplets across her face. You almost trembled when your bare stomachs pressed together in the water lightly.
Wanda's soft hands left your waist and gripped your thighs to pull you up to wrap your legs around her own waist. You couldn't help but giggle at the gesture as you wrapped your arms around the redhead's neck and held onto her waist with your legs in a lock.
"Can I?" Wanda whispered when she lifted your chin with her finger and her other hand came round the back of your neck.
"Just shut up and kiss me." You demanded with a playful smile and leaned in to do it yourself.
You smiled into the kiss and felt Wanda do the same. It was everything you had ever imagined it to be. Her lips were soft and fell into place perfectly against your own as they moved together. Your mind was hazey and your stomach was doing flips at the realisation that you were actually kissing your long time crush. You forced yourself to remember that it was all a show. That Wanda didn't mean it. But she put on a believable act and kissed passionately, even slipping her tongue through your parter lips to explore your mouth further.
When she eventually pulled away you rested your foreheads together to catch your breath and grinned as you closed your eyes.
"You're a really good kisser." You blurted out making Wanda chuckle.
"Not too bad yourself." She teased.
"I hope not, we're gonna have to do that again." You smiled and instantly realized that sounded like a confession you desperetly wished you could claim. "You know because...Once probably wasn't enough to make it entirely believable." You rambled and Wanda nodded somewhat stiffly and let your legs drop back down. You wanted to say something to her, anything but it was all stuck on the tip of your tongue.
Just as you opened your mouth to speak, a small murmurarion of starlings flew across the lake, some of them skimming the water then gaining height again as they got closer to you and Wanda. You both ducked instinctively as they flew over your heads and off towards the forest again as you watched them in awe until they disappeared. You glanced up at the sky and noticed the sun had gone behind a cloud, ableing you to continue looking up at the other birds higher up.
You kicked your legs up slightly so you could lay on your back and outstretch your arms to keep you afloat in the water so you could stare up at the sky without hurting your neck.
You didn't realise Wanda mimicked you until her hands brushed against yours. She withdrew it as soon as you touched and went to murmmer an apology but you smiled and held onto her hand as you both lay watching the birds.
Neither of you had to say anything. It was a comfortable and peaceful silence that was occasionally filled with birds chirping or the sound of a calm breeze. Of all the things you expected to feel on that trip, relaxed was not one of them.
You stayed like that for a while until you were both snapped out of your daydreams by the distant yell that declared dinner. Well, you had to go back to them eventually.
Both of you took your time swimming back to dry land and only felt a shiver when you left the water and the breeze hit you. Wanda spotted and reached the towels before you and wrapped yours around you tightly. You thanked her with a small blush as you both sauntered up to the house where the mouthwatering smell of a barbecue greeted you. Your dad was leaning over it while shooing your brother away as he tried to offer his 'help'.
You and Wanda went inside to change swiftly and came back outside as the food was being placed on plates and your mum finished setting up the buffet. Everyone starter helping themselves and you piled as much food as you could onto the plate. You parents had asked what food Wanda liked and when you gave them a brief list you added in a few things you knew you both loved.
"You gonna eat all that?" Anna asked as she eyed all the food on your plate. Guilt and insecurities washed over you until Wanda purposefully grabbed a large handful of small sausage rolls and put them on her plate that was piled with a considerable amount more food than your own. You smiled at the reassuring gesture as she sat down with a satisfied grin on her face when she saw Anna close her mouth to stay quiet.
"Thanks." You whispered to her as you sat down.
"If you don't eat all that I will." She declared. You were pretty sure she went back for seconds.
Instead of disappearing back to your room like you did the previous nights, you and Wanda stayed with your family for a while after dinner. It wasn't to do with their company, more the mesmerising fire in the firepit you all sat around. You were cuddled up into Wanda's side with a blanket over both of you as you stared at the flames, smiling at their small flickers and dances.
"So Wanda," one of your sisters began, "are any of the other Avengers...you know." She nodded her head in the direction of you both.
Oh boy you though.
"I don't think it's my place to say." Wanda said because yes, a lot of the Avengers were queer.
"Oh come on, you can tell us." Anna encouraged as she sat forward eagerly.
"I could, but I'm not going to." Wanda continued to defy.
"Lay off it guys." You mumbled but was ignored. Your family took it in turns saying her teammates names in hopes of sparking a reaction, clearly forgetting they were facing someone who had been trained by Natasha Romanoff.
"Stark!" Claire said but was instantly shut down by the others.
"He's married!" Dalton objected.
"Could still be bi though." Claire tried but Dalton just scoffed.
"I suppose there's going to be more surprises."
"What does that mean?" Wanda asked with narrowed eyes, feeling protective of her teammates. Dalton met her gaze with his own challenging one.
"I just never thought one of the Avengers would be a dyke." You felt Wanda stiffen as you all held your breath. There was no way to tell what was going through the redhead's mind, especially as after all those years of friendship you still didn't even know what team she batted for. She was an ally at least, but would she see this as her battle to fight?
Upon getting no reaction, Dalton continued. "It makes sense why you'd hang out with y/n though, we always knew something was wrong with her but-"
"That's enough." Your mum snapped with a guilty expression she failed to mask. You swallowed hard and moved to get up, deciding you had heard enough.
"Then you're idiots." Wanda stated as she glared daggers at your brother while you sunk down.
"I'll have you know I have a doctorate-"
"Your idiots." She repeated. "There's nothing wrong with y/n, which is impressive considering she's grown up around you lot." You looked at your friend in awe as she continued.
"She's the most amazing person I've ever known, including any of the Avengers. She's everything that you're not and I'm lucky to call her my girlfriend. It doesn't matter what any of you think of her, I love her and I always will." She declared as shot daggers at each individual family member who had fallen silent. She took your hand and pulled you up from your seat to take you inside.
You couldn't get her saying she loved you out of your head. You reminded yourself over and over again on the way to your room that it was just an act. That the redhead was making her point. But God, how you wished it was real.
She was so gentle with you as she guided you through the house. When you got to your room and broke down sobbing she held you on the bed for a long time until your cries turned to sniffles. The thing was, you weren't sure what you were crying over. Sure, what Dalton had said had hurt. As did the confirmation that your whole family had always looked down on you. But you had known that was the case for a long time, you had moved on from it.
Instead, you may have being crying over what you didn't know and didn't have. How much of what Wanda said was true? It was all based off of something that wasn't real. What if she saw you the same way your family did?
When you stopped crying you became aware of Wanda gently stroking your hair as she rested her head on yours and held you close to her. You remembered the memories you had accumulated over the past few days with her. The kisses, the hand holding, the nights together, how she stood up for you like no one ever had. You loved her so much.
"I think we should go tomorrow." Wanda mumbled and you nodded into her shoulder.
"I'm not going to leave you though, you know that right? You can stay at mine and we'll watch more of those crappy American movies you like." She mocked lightly making you chuckle against her. "Whatever you want."
"I just want you." You said honestly. You knew you shouldn't have said that, but you were too emotionally drained to care.
"I just want you too, y/n." You pulled away from the redhead to look at her clearly.
"I don't think you know what I mean." You sniffed and she smiled at you fondly.
"I mean what I said earlier, around the fire." Your eyes widened slightly and you held your breath.
"It was all an act though." You whispered and Wanda chuckled as she exhaled sharply.
"No y/n." "I think I am inlove with you." She said as she took ahold of your hand and searched your face for any signs of a reaction to her confession.
"Me?" You questioned, not quite believing it.
"Yes you, idiot." You smiled and sighed in relief, not being able to find the words to express your overflowing happiness and numerous other emotions you couldn't quite pinpoint. You let go of Wanda's hand and brought them both up to cup her cheeks. You had done a lot more handholding than kissing in the previous few days. It needed to be evened out.
You closed the gap between you and kissed Wanda with just as much passion as you had in the lake, except all hesitation and questions were gone. Because you knew she loved you. Oh God she loved you. You grinned into the kiss at the thought and felt her hand fall to your hip while the other caressed the side of your neck in the most gentle manner you had ever seen from her.
When you eventually pulled away you rested your forehead against hers, a smile still playing on both your lips.
"Told you we'd have to do that again." You said and and laughed. "I love you too."
"Well I hoped that wasn't a pity kiss." She joked and you smacked her arm playfully.
"It definetly was not and I'll prove it to you by taking you on a date when we get back." You promised as you sat back to look at her clearly.
"Oh yeah?" She asked with a playful smirk and leaned over so her face was inches away from yours.
"Yeah." You said back.
"Well until then, my real girlfriend should definetly just keep kissing me." She said as she pushed you down gently and kissed you again. You smiled against her gleefully.
"Your girlfriend would love to."

Okay how 'bout we try something a little different.
For Mid Fight Masses! R, L, Q, F, T and either U or D. For Selever, Sarvante and Rasazy. (Excluding Ruv mainly to go along with the canon that he's not ticklish)
Alright, this should be fun! I haven't done any MFM characters before (only once) so it'll be cool to do this =)
Headcanons✨
R - Lee or ler, what is generally their main role?
Selever: He has ler energy 200% but let's be real, this man is a lee by heart. He's a great ler but as a lee, all that bravado melts away and next thing you're met with is a giggling teenager, begging for you to stop. He's adorable, who would stop?
Sarvente: She is canonically ticklish according to the mfm's wiki page but on a serious note, while not a lee often has that ler aura lingering behind that sweet smile of hers. She has two children so of course she would be a motherly tickler. Nibbles, raspberries, kisses, anything a child would love to experience from their mother.
Rasazy: Rasazy is so mysterious that nobody can really pinpoint, nor give her a direct role. She could be both, one or the other, neither, it doesn't matter. It'd be best if you hadn't tried for yourself, she's quite powerful and could likely turn you into a pile of dust if she wanted ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Q - Their response to the question ‘are you ticklish’?
Selever: "Uh yeah, duh???"
The guy is so confident that he'd be entirely honest, This causes the person asking to be taken off guard since they expected some sort of reaction like a blush or scowl but none of that happens. By then he's laughing in their face and makes fun of you for reaching the way you did. Don't try to tickle him either since he can see that shit from a mile away and is already prepared to scatter, along with the fact he can fly so it's gonna be hard to catch him.
Sarvente: "To be sincere my dear saint, I am ticklish. Why do you ask, kind stranger?"
She'll flutter her eyelashes at you all innocent, blissfully unaware of the grave she just dug for herself. Sarv isn't the smartest individual so when you approach her to tickle her, she'll just take that as a invitation for a hug, and a hug she'll give. Until you tickle her and she's shrieking.
Rasazy:
Rasazy won't respond, only staring at you and if you try to make a move , for a split second, her eyes will flash a blue and pink color. It'll be so quick you almost wonder if you're seeing things but once you see she's looks much more threatening, that is a warning you should take it.
F - What is their behavior in a tickle fight like?
Selever: He lives alone in The Nothing World with his sister, so that means no friends or other family members to be with. Tickle fights rarely occur between the two and if they do, they often end in disaster. He acts very predatory and skulks around the place, looking for Rasazy and teasing her to death while doing it, fully aware she can hear him from wherever she's hiding.
Sarvente: She is a wonderful partner to have in a tickle fight. Sarv is very trusting, making her victims easy to capture. She respects your boundaries and will stop if you say so but very thorough in what she's doing.
Rasazy: Not the type to participate and will typically quietly observe or just walk away. If Rasazy is somehow convinced to join than well consider it an instant loss. Despite her petite stature and innocence, she is very powerful and capable of 'restrainment magic'✨, bless your soul if you fall victim to her. Very merciless but will drop you once you've reached your limit. Maybe she'll comment that it was fun and even smile a bit before walking away.
T - Their most favorite methods of teasing their lee/ler?
Selever: He likes to feel in control and will make sure you know you aren't escaping unless he says so. Your struggles for mercy and your begging only inflate his ego, so he's absolutely gonna tease you more about it to hear your delicious cries for mercy. "You can't handle it? Aw, well that too fuckin' bad, suck it up! I ain't stopping anytime soon..." Selever will call you names like a crybaby but means no ill will and that only means he's having fun tickling you. You're likely enjoying it too and if he ever catches wind of this, he's never letting this go and will constantly taunt you for it, poking you randomly all around the place, leaving you a vicious cycle of hypertickilishness (it'll go away in 3-4 business days).
Sarvente: As a holy figure, she won't be as merciless as you think her to be. She's rather kind but because of her naivety, Sarv doesn't necessarily know when she's being a tease. She likes to point them out for her lee to hear and finds it cute when they get flustered. Sarv almost does this to catalog their victims so next time a tickle fight breaks out, she'll know exactly what to do and where to target.
Rasazy: Razy doesn't verbally tease. She is completely nonverbal and only watches her lee struggle and squeal quietly. Physically however is a different ball park. Rasazy will slowly poke her way up, almost like a itsy bitsy spider and relishes in the fact you're screaming a whole lot more.
U - Do they have some unusual tickle spots? Where?
Selever: The spot right between the wings and the shoulder blades. Those spots are the bane of his existence and he can't stand it when it's touched or tickled. But it's not his fault he breaks out in a fit or giggles or even cackled when you just happen to dig in.
Sarvente: Her hands are quite sensitive so imagine what it's like when they are even in any sort of contact. Hand holding with her freaking husband is a hassle since she has this stupidly large grin on her face and she's giggling like a fool. Ruv one time decided enough was enough and investigated it, very thoroughly examining her hand to see what made her tick. Ruv's finger gently tracing her palm would be too much for her and she yanking and pulling at it, begging for him to stop.
"Da, there is nothing to worry about I was just-"
"R-RUV! Nohohohoho!"
Rasazy: Beneath her chin. Hardly anybody knows this (except Selever's rat ass) but under her chin could get quite the giggle and even a blush if you're lucky enough. Rasazy actually enjoys it and likes the feeling of fingers caressing her chin, more brownie points if you manage to get her neck. Because of her reserved nature, nobody knows about it except Selever. Even though he's a little shit sometimes, he promises to keep her secret and often uses her chin to make her smile a bit if she's feeling a bit down. Selever is a greater brother than you think he is :3
D - What is there most ticklish spot?
Selever: A good way to catch him off guard is to sneak up on him, and one of best areas to start are his armpits. Dude squeals like a little girl before his cackling is all that fills the room, it is extremely loud! He can't even fight back because of how much is tickles and isn't even focused on revenge, only getting it to stop.
Sarvente: Ribs, sides, and hips. Attack any of those and she'll shriek at the top of her lungs. She refuses to remember the time Ruv was trying to get her attention during a church service and squeezed her side. The ensuing scream jumpscared everyone in the room, even herself a bit. Ruv sometimes subtly teases her about it and even wiggles his fingers a bit, much to her embarrassment.
Rasazy: Remember what I said about her chin and neck well, if you manage to make it down to her collarbone is when she really starts to react. This is only area where she genuinely laughs with a bright smile on her face. She can't focus enough on her powers to activate so she has to take it until the ler (Selever) stops. He finds this to be super intriguing and even nibbled on them before, much to her ticklish misfortune. Nibbles and raspberries are where they are actually effective and Rasazy is trying to push you off with a blush across her face. Once you'll stop depending on who you are, she won't send you through the roof.
